So I give you another thought of the day!!!

Jason hates his birthdays, however, since he met you its been a slightly different story. He tries, really tries to enjoy the day because he loves to see you happy. How you glow when you give him his birthday gift, how you smile when you celebrate his day, just the two of you or with more people, how you sing the loudest to happy birthday and hugs him with more force than usual.

And that one year you organized a whole surprise birthday party for him and him only? He found out everything weeks before but when he saw your bright red cheeks and glowing eyes and big smile the moment he faked his surprise on the day? Worth it all the pretense that he didn't knew.

🎈🎁 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JASON!! 🥳 🎂

I woke up this morning and immediately started thinking about what his sister, Penelope, would do for Jason on his birthdays.

Homeless years: This was tough, because not only were they just barely scraping by, but she was also pretty young. Usually she would try and steal something tasty from a local bakery so it'd be fresh! Some years she would manage to scrape together enough cash to get him a new CD for the vintage walkman they shared, even if it was music she didn't really like. Like Bon Jovi.

Robin Years: One year Batman straight up was unable/was unwilling to give Jason a break on his birthday. Penelope never found out why, of course, she didn't know he was Robin until it was too late. The years she was allowed to celebrate with him, though, she would help Alfred bake up a red velvet cake and they'd have little movie nights in the home theatre. Jason always appreciated how simple and mundane it was considering how crazy his life got.

These Days: Sometimes Jason forgets what day is which and he won't even remember it's his birthday until she insists they head out for a motorcycle ride in the evening. There's a big hill they like to ride up to when the Manor gets to be too much and it's there she gives him a red velvet cupcake she made him. And a Bon Jovi CD.
