Mike is a character who we associate with the blue color the most, right? Also, blue is kinda associated with the Upside Down and Vecna because of that blue light we see there.

Blue is the basic color of mlm pride flag. It was created in 2019. And you know what? In russian slang голубой (which is translated as “blue”) means “gay" and it originates from the '60s.

Almost every outfit Mike wears in s4 is blue.

The phrase голубая мечта (translated as "blue dream") caught my attention. The expression appeared under the influence of the famous play (with a very fairy-tale-like setting -> "It looks like a fairytale") "The Blue Bird" written by Maurice Maeterlinck in 1908. The blue bird is a symbol of happiness that has been in the home all along; the children simply have not recognized and valued it.

As we already know, dreams are one of the key themes and focus in ST, especially in season 4 with “Dream a Little Dream of Me”, but let’s not forget about “Never Ending Story.”

Not only has it a line "fly a fantasy," but "dream a dream, and what you see will be." What is Mike’s blue dream? Of what is he dreaming secretly? Or better say, of who? It’s a rhetorical question for bylers. But the GA will find out too, with the help of Vecna and his mirror (aka the visions he shows to his victims of who they really are). The answer is upon a rainbow. Literally.

In the picture of Mike's room I pinned above, you can also notice a heart with a heart, cloud, rainbow and something written on it.

Taking into account @madwheelerz manifestation theory and how Mike (the writer and the DM) & Will (the artist) -- the duo with huge imagination manifested the events in ST because of their dreams nightmares feels very real to me.

Happy Easter! Pictured: joyous, undisputed Ambassador of Mid-20th Century Americana Charles Phoenix. The annual Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender usually falls over the Easter weekend (but confusingly, not always! This year it’s 18 – 21 April). I’ve been attending off and on since 2007 and for years Phoenix’s riotous ultra-kitsch retro slideshows have been a highlight, so for me he’s synonymous with Easter. (For one thing, the effervescent Phoenix routinely took the stage wearing bunny ears). I’m going to Viva Las Vegas for the first time since 2019 in a few weeks and gutted that for the first time I can recall, Phoenix isn’t on the bill this year! What a colossal misjudgment! Let’s hope it’s an unfortunate blip.

Random headcanon: He's Jewish by birth, and was raised Jewish by Mr. Mushnik too. Maybe this isn't a headcanon so much as unspoken canon, since both he and especially Mr. Mushnik are so clearly Jewish-coded. They're not really observant, but they do celebrate the holidays (as much as they can afford to, anyway) and don't celebrate Christmas or Easter, although they provide their customers with flowers for them.

Unpopular opinion: I think some people in the "anti-happy ending" crowd put too much emphasis on trying to prove that Seymour is a bad person who deserves to die in the end. If Howard Ashman were still alive, I'd really like to ask him about Seymour's line in the original ending when he confronts the plant about Audrey's death: "You ate the only thing I ever loved!" Some people (for example, on TV Tropes) fixate on the word "thing" and argue that Seymour never really loves Audrey as a person, that she's just another possession he wants. I'd like to ask Ashman if he really meant the line to be read that way, because unless I'm forgetting something, I don't see any other indication that Audrey is just an object to Seymour. I much prefer to think he really does love her, and that he really is "a sweet and well-meaning little man" (as Ashman wrote in his character description in the stage script), because it makes the point that anyone can be persuaded to compromise their morals for the right rewards. If he's secretly a bad or selfish person from the start, then we can write him off as just a "bad apple," and assume we would never be tempted to "feed" our own metaphorical "plants."

(I learned later that the other two guys were also freaking out at this time but trying not to show it. lmao) When I closed my eyes I was seeing like a hyperrealistic hyperbolic burger bulging towards me and folding back in on itself. At a certain point though I looked at my partner's eyes glowing in the light coming through a dingy window and realized how gorgeous he would look in a brown suit. I told him this repeatedly and I stan by it. He needs  a brown suit. He would totally rock a brown suit.

This Day in X-Project - April 1

Darcy Lewis' birthday

2015: Xavin talks with Matt and is weirded out by the whole school and Generation X thing. Adrienne finds out with her powers that Warren and Jessica had sex in the X-Factor office (and on her desk) and he finds out she’s a mutant; Warren lets Jessica know what happened and they wind up making arrangements to hook up again. Adrienne lets Emma and Garrison know her powers are acting up and she can Read items through things she’s touching. Angel and Tandy go on a donut run and catch up with each other. Tabitha confesses to apparently everything. X-Force learns that the mutant smuggling ring is making a shipment and Artie goes undercover to smoke them out; Felicia has similar plans and winds up getting a save, courtesy of Wanda and North in police uniforms. Tandy drops by Amanda’s magic class and they catch up on the situation with the Dweller in the Dark, still trapped in its own dimension. Angelica leaves a souvenir t-shirt and poker chip for Jean from Vegas and Jean texts her to say thank you. Clarice complains about the field trip curse striking again and the need for retail therapy. Tandy tries to prank Adrienne by telling her she is having Loki’s baby, but Adrienne isn’t fooled. Gabriel and Warren run into each other in a grungy basement nightclub. Every year we celebrate Easter with brunch and an Easter Egg Hunt at Mom's. This is my granddaughter Veronica last year and this year, hunting eggs and my family at brunch. My apologies for not having my usual photograph of our holiday meal. We were running a little late this year. I hope everyone who celebrates the holiday had a wonderful Easter.

Did y’all ever end up doing the valoris vienna thing?

We kinda did, not all of us tho. It was a last minute decision we took with @alyeen1 back in April because, at the time, our initial plan for an Easter trip (visiting the HBO Chernobyl filming locations in Lithuania) did not seem like a very safe -or appropriate- option, February the 24th and everything happening since being the reason behind our qualms. Visiting Vienna and the IAEA was the next best thing.

Apart from the IAEA we visited a beautiful old coffee shop, Cafe Landtmann, which was my imaginary meeting point where Boris and Valery would have a very significant for their relationship coffee break during the IAEA press conference in August 1986.

My headcanon? A short break of happiness for Boris and Valery during a very stressful stay in Vienna (where Legasov was answering questions about Chernobyl for hours).

We were looking for any romantic, old-fashioned coffee shop in Vienna, and Cafe Landtmann turned out to be the perfect setting for my fluffy headcanon that was inspired by this pic.

Anyways. This Vienna trip is behind us but at least now I know more about the city and places to visit. I know @progressi9 intends to visit the IAEA too, it seems it's not always open to visitors? I don't know when I'll be in Vienna again but Salzburg is in my plans for next summer. So who knows, maybe I could visit Vienna for one day where we could all meet at the IAEA, and then at Landtmann Cafe, take some pictures and have some shippy Valoris conversation, if time and headspace allows it? If anyone is still interested by Easter 2023 or summer 2023, PM me and we'll keep in touch. I love this fandom. Things have changed since 2019, the world is going to hell, but I still love HBO's Chernobyl to bits even if it's a fictional take on events of the past that seems like a bad dream compared to what's happening right now, very very close to us. I may not always be in the mood to share my Valoris headcanons with others and I may not have time for tumblr like I used to, but if your heart's graphite is still burning with radioactive love for Valoris, hit me up in PM and I'm sure we can schedule a meet up somewhere.

Kevin and I met through the dating app OkCupid in 2013.  His was the first intelligent message I received within 24 hours of joining the site and we scheduled our first date within the week.  I was immediately smitten and fell head over heels for him by date two (a bike ride through Bidwell Park where he shared that his favorite animal was the mantis shrimp - wtf!? Smitten indeed). Within three months of our first date, on our way home from a wedding, I asked to be exclusive and he expressed that he wasn’t interested.  Rude.  We continued to casually date for a year before he called me his girlfriend.  

The first time I met his family, who lived in town, was Easter 2014. They were shocked to find out I existed and had been in the picture for so long.  Same, fam, same. It was at this gathering that his mom first conducted the “pencil trick” on me.  This is something she does to every potential dating partner of her children when she first meets them, so I’ve learned.  The pencil trick tells you how many children you’ll have and the sex of each of them.  It was on this day that I learned I’d have three children: a boy, a girl and another boy.  She refused to tell me what Kevin’s results said but she was very happy with my results (so I assume Kevin’s said the same).  

Fast forward to October 2018 when we experienced our first, and only, IVF cycle that failed.  Obviously this was an extremely dark time for our entire family but mostly for Kevin. He grieved this loss harder than anyone, probably because he had complete faith that it would work. Why wouldn’t it?  It’s science and he’s based his career on medicine.  Besides, we were only diagnosed with “unexplained infertility” so how could this process not work for us?  

We amazingly conceived naturally in May 2019 bringing into our family our little girl, erp.  Given her sex, his mother believes that the baby we didn’t conceive from the IVF was a boy, thus confirming the pencil trick results.  Please note that throughout the years she has continued to perform the pencil trick on me and the results always come out the same. 

When we announced this current pregnancy, the only guess we received from both sides of our family, including Kevin and myself, was that we would be having a boy.  Both because of the widely known pencil trick results and also because my pregnancy has been slightly different than the first.  Imagine all of our surprises when the results of the Non-Invasive Prenatal Test (NIPT) came back letting us know the “fetal sex is consistent with female.”  

While surprised with the results, we’re absolutely thrilled to have sisters!! Especially ones that will be so close in age at just 20 months apart!  AND, we shouldn’t have to buy too much for the new babe since we have so many clothes that should work for her.  Before becoming pregnant I knew I wanted the next baby to be a girl. I’ve loved raising erp so much I wanted another one just like her, though I’m sure that won’t be the case :)

Given that I fully expected a boy, all my baby names are boy names so it’s been fun trying to figure out what female name we want to join our family.  Thankfully, we don’t have to worry about the Kevin middle name tradition for the moment!  

TL;DR: We’re having a baby girl :)

17th April 2021-Part 2 of 2: Glossy Ibis and more at Stanpit Marsh: The 10 pictures I took in this photoset are different to those I tweeted tonight 

As we have seemed to do often on my Mum’s birthday over the years today we delved into Dorset going slightly into it at the brilliant Stanpit Marsh in Christchurch. What had drawn us here was the long staying Glossy Ibis which we caught sight of here in November after a couple of times of trying. We looked over the marsh looking into the harbour towards Hengistbury Head and Mudeford past the car park and scout hut and my Mum thought she saw it flying. The area I mean shown in the first two pictures in this photoset. We then walked around on the path and to our delight we did see the Glossy Ibis stood there. This was a brilliant moment to see this exotic jet black curved beak beauty. It was very mobile and no sooner had we fixed binoculars on it and limbered for a picture - at this distance a bridge camera zoom in - had it gone behind a tuft of grass but we still managed a decent handful of sightings of it at the start of the walk. One of my best birds this year, a rarity we saw our first of these in Dorset at RSPB Radipole Lake in Weymouth in 2012, we have now seen it three years running both of the sightings here of it and one at Fishlake Meadows near Romsey back in Hampshire in 2019 a good little indicator that this is a bird becoming more common to see right now.

As we walked on we loved taking in ideal conditions of bright sunshine flowing through and sky and sea a divine shade of blue. I took the fourth-eighth pictures in this photoset of views here today. There was also a photo I took I tweeted tonight on Dans_Pictures looking down a channel in a reedbed towards the prominent church in Christchurch which featured in a lot of my landscapes like Hengistbury Head in the distance did as they so often do here today. I had wanted to take that picture and it be one of my proudest sort of in November and I think I did take a version in the end but the angle wasn’t there or the light wasn’t good or something if I remember rightly. So it was great being able to take this shot in gorgeous sunshine today. We had a great walk for seeing birds such as Little Egret, Shelduck and Curlew quite a few times, with many Mute Swans about in the harbour too as can be seen in the sixth picture. It was nice to see ponies with a foal too which I tweeted a picture showing. We got close and special views of a nice bronzed Black-tailed Godwit up close and saw lots in a group in the sea of the harbour too which was so lovely to see again. 

Also in this area we loved seeing a few Sandwich Terns, two of them with one flying then they settled for ages on the shallow water with a godwit I took the third picture in this photoset showing this. It was lovely to make our their neat plumage. We saw a couple or maybe it was the same one fishing over the harbour later on in the walk and at one point it had a battle with a gull which was spectacular to watch, we saw a good range of gulls today too. Sandwich Terns are very much the bird of weeks off work for me these days it seems with one seen at Farlington Marshes to start the similar to this one June week off last year and we saw our first of the year during my week off in January during the bird year list foundation building an overwinterting one in Hampshire which was a key moment of that week and my yea so far. We saw one well at Pennington on Easter Sunday too as I said.

We did also see two great different flowers at Stanpit today, some bright white scurvygrass adorning the marsh floor and some bright yellow marsh marigold emanating also from the grassy areas which looked stunning I had seen neither before. Daffodil and bluebell were around here too like Winchester this morning.

We doubled back along the tree line, where we got a brilliant view of a Great Spotted Woodpecker flying across and into a tree and came to the area where the Glossy Ibis had been. With no clear decent photo taken of the bird at that point I put my big lens on my DSLR as I was covering the same area I had already taken landscapes with my normal lens in so I knew I might not do so much again. We were then so happy to see the Glossy Ibis again in the air and as I snapped away with the appropriate tool my big lens on my DSLR camera it looked as though like last November my chance for a photo to remember the ibis by would be in the air. We just wondered where it would settle and as we watched it get lower after a great flying session where Lapwing and other birds were also in the air I anticipated something extraordinary. I thought it may well fly right over our heads, and that it did! It was an amazing few moments to both of our delight as I seemed to get the balance right between binocular views, trying for photos and simply watching it in aw of how close this quite rare bird truly was to us. Spectacular. I managed the ninth picture in this photoset of it flying among others. 

It flew on over towards another marshy area by a boat sculpture where it had been reported a lot last year. We wandered back through the wooded area to there in case we could see it again. On the way through we got a quick view of my first Redstart of the year a female, always a crucial bird to see every spring especially in or close to the New Forest a huge part of the year seeing this bird on my B list of favourites for another year. My year list reached 133, the joint sixth highest amount of birds I had ever seen on a year on this date alongside my 2014. Redstart and Glossy Ibis were year ticks in the same weekend for me in 2019 Redstart came first the day before the Fishlake Meadows Glossy Ibis sighting the Redstart at a strong area for them Pig Bush in the New Forest. 

We reached a little pool where we thought it might have gone and I was so happy to see the Glossy Ibis was there. We then spent a divine few minutes getting the honour to watch this bird move side to side across the pool mostly with its beak down hunting but it gave us flashes of brilliance as it looked up now and again. The soft early evening sunlight caressed the feathers of its back and head. It was one of the most beautiful and captivating natural moments I’d had this year, perhaps the greatest moment of wildlife for me since seeing the Tawny Owl and Lesser Spotted Woodpecker in the woods on one walk and so much more four weeks ago today. Such is this bird’s exotic nature that for a minute I could have been in an African swamp rather than a Dorset marsh. The greatest respect to the fantastic Dorset obviously I have always loved this county. What a way to celebrate that British wildlife is phenomenal and it’s been lovely day all round for discussing wildlife with lots of people at both Winchester and Stanpit Marsh. Everything was happening at once as when we arrived at this bit to look over the pool the ibis was on a Kestrel flew right in front of us a stunning view of a special bird.

On the way in and out we took in some beautiful New Forest vistas as you can do on journeys to Dorset and this included some nice bright red tulips with some daffodils which I took a picture of and tweeted and liked admiring on the way back. The perfect birthday for my Mum to kick off our time off, what a day for wildlife and photos! I hope you all had a good one.

Wildlife Sightings Summary: My first Glossy Ibis and Redstart of the year, three of my favourite birds the Shelduck, Little Egret and Great Crested Grebe, Grey Heron, Lapwing, Oystercatcher, Redshank, Black-tailed Godwit, Curlew, Mallard, a straggling Wigeon, Mute Swan, Herring Gull, what’s not so usual for us in a day both Lesser Black-backed Gull and Great Black-backed Gull, Sandwich Tern, Cormorant, Woodpigeon, Jackdaw, Carrion Crow, Magpie, Kestrel, House Sparrow, Wren, Dunnock, Great Tit, Linnet and Greenfinch in another nice day of finches, Robin, Blackbird, Rock Pipit and I heard Cetti’s Warbler and also Reed Warbler faintly I believe.

What happened between Jerry and Tony Curtis? I read that they sort of had a falling out but I couldn't find anything on that. or didn't they? and that Tony didn't want to work with Jerry on Boeing Boeing. or that Jerry was annoying on the set or something? Did their falling out had something to do with Janet Leigh maybe? (sorry that I'm disordered with the questions)

I think their falling out was possibly due to Janet Leigh. I've heard rumors of wife swapping (from more than one person which was supposedly an Old Hollywood rumor) which may have happened, though I don't see Patti Lewis doing that. My JL historian friend said Janet and Jerry had an affair, but didn't say when exactly. It could have well been in the 60's during their time making Three on a Couch. She seemed to be happy with her 2nd husband, so maybe not. She and Tony cheated on each other and it's a known fact. Most notably she had an affair with Bob Fosse while filming My Sister Eileen, which was the year after Jerry and Tony fell out. Tony reacted to the Bob Fosse affair by going to the Playboy mansion and having one of the women over there. Today I also learned from this blogspot that Janet had an affair with Frank Sinatra during the filming of The Manchurian Candidate.

Tony and Jerry were already arguing in late 1953, but remained friends at least until Easter, 1954 as shown by the video. I think it was a note from April, 1954 sold on Ebay that Jerry said he needed to "cut the cord" with Tony and Janet.

As I said in another ask, Jerry had thousands of photos of Janet that were separate from film shoots. So it's clear he had some sort of obsession with her.

Anyway Tony and Jerry in photos on the set of Boeing Boeing seem to be getting along somewhat. But it was far from the case.

Tony Curtis on working with Jerry Lewis in Boeing, Boeing: "If the camera was just on me, (Jerry) would drop cigarette ashes on my jacket in the middle of a scene, or reach down and quietly unzip my fly."

Not sure but this is probably a different time, than when Tony showed up with a painting he had made for Jerry's bday. Jerry kind of ignored him and put the painting off to the side, according to my friend who was there.
