Finished re-readin' Shaman King, having the ending on Book for the first time ! It was the greatest story of all time

-- Actually, I think it's a little better in the beginning--before all the Alive Powder, etc.--but it's still pretty cool

-- Their oversouls were more interesting before they became the elemental warriors; everyone already does that with the elements [earth/fire/water/air]. Avatar...Captain Planet...Shaman King....in fact, that's what inspired me to create the Nutrition Warriors back in the day, who, as you know, used the food groups instead

-- If I were Shaman King, I'd want to make a world wherein everyone could relax and live in peace, just like Yoh [wanted]. And I'd make Ordernateur, etc., real . And everyone gets a house that they can decorate however they want, like in Animal Crossing. And find love, if they want

Finally we see a glimpse of adult Opacho in the raw chapter of Shaman king super star! It's been so long since I last saw her, Hopefully it doesn't take long to see her , Hao , Yoh and Anna in the future chapters!

I wish it was in English but it may take a while for that to happen.😭

HaoAnna is not my cup of tea

HaoAnna or Hao x Anna is a very popular ship with Hao. It comes right after Hao x Yoh and Hao x Lyserg. HaoAnna is often shipped as a triangle ship with Yoh. More than the ship itselves. Hao is also shipped with Opacho, Horohoro, Jeanne, Tamao, Marion, Hana and many more. I'm hearing about some shippings for the first time. The most popular shipping with Anna is Yoh x Anna.

The decisive factor for this couple is probably the scene in which Anna hits Hao. Anna: Look, if you keep talking nonsense... *tries to slap Hao* Hao: *stops her hand and scowls* Hao: *put his other hand next to Anna's face against the stone* Now I like you even more. You're the perfect wife for the Shaman King. Hao: *tries to get nearer to her* Anna: *sweats* Anna: *pulls herself together* Anna: Not so fast. I still have my left! *slaps Hao is his face* The scenes in which Anna wants to make Yoh strong so that she "doesn't get stolen by someone" and in which Hao happily tells Opacho that Anna hits like his mother, further encourage this shipping. Also, it was Anna who destroyed Haos Shikigami's and thus piqued his interest. Anna is so tough that she takes on Hao with his own shinigami and even kicks him when he tries to grab her again. Yoh's friends also see a resemblance between Anna and Hao's mother, Asanoha.

So this shipping is based on two arguments: 1. Anna is not afraid of Hao, which impresses him quite a bit. It is shown again and again how people are afraid of Hao because he is so powerful. The only people who aren't afraid of him are Anna and Yo. 2. Anna and Asanoha don't look alike. In addition, both are prone to hitting with the flat of their hands. Asanoha is important to Hao. Her death was the trigger of his misanthropy. So HaoAnna has valid points why it could work as Shipping. I'll explain now why I don't like it. While Anna and Asanoha may be similar, there is a definite difference between them: While Anna and Asanoha may be similar, there is a definite difference between them. Although Asanoha is also tough and tends to raise her hand against her loved ones, she is a very loving and wise person. Anna, on the other hand, is aggressive and cold. That doesn't mean she doesn't care about the people around her. It just means she shows her feelings differently. And that's the catch for me. Hao and Anna are both very cold personalities. Both are not good at showing their feelings to the other. That's why Anna works so well with Yoh. Yoh understands her feelings and can handle her coldness. He is the gentle one. loving part of the relationship and the one who approaches Anna. The same with Ren and Jeanne. While Ren tends to be cold and doesn't show his feelings that much, Jeanne tends to be gentle and the driving force behind their relationship. I think that a rather cool person needs an emotional person in order not to let the relationship grow cold. Does Hao have really feelings for Anna: Anna has often shown that she is a serious opponent. Hao was definitely impressed by her strength and fearlessness. But how seriously does he really mean his offer? I can well imagine that Hao just wanted to tease her. That would suit him well. Because I don't think he had any serious intentions of robbing Yoh of his fiancée. Most importantly, he seems to respect his twin. In my opinion, Hao needs a woman who is not afraid of him and who can gain respect from him. But he also needs a woman who is gentle and loving to him. That's why HaoAnna is not my favorite ship. ATTENTION: Ship what you want as long as you respect each other's shipping. Anyone who likes HaoAnna should enjoy it. I was just giving my opinion why I don't like this shipping.

Mini Episode - “A Real Family”

“You’re going back to Izumo? Wh - When?” quietly asked Tamao, her voice barely louder than a whisper.

“Tomorrow,” replied Hao, taking off his jacket and hanging it on the coat rack in the corner of the room. He then approached the kitchen counter and leaned against it, crossing his arms and locking his eyes on Tamao and smiling warmly at her.

“Oh.” muttered Tamao.

“It should only be for one, maybe two days.” gently went on Hao. “Opacho has just got settled here, and she really seems to like spending time with you. You are so good with her. Would it be okay if she stayed here, with you?”

Tamao froze for a moment, she could feel her face getting warmer as Hao complimented her.

“As… as long as she’s okay with it, then, of course. She’s no trouble at all!” hurriedly said Tamao, she looked away from Hao briefly as she spoke.

“Thank you.” sighed Hao, relieved. “That is extremely kind of you, Tamao.”

There was a pause as Tamao’s face turned a bright pink once again. She took in a deep breath as she tried to steady her nerves to ask the questions that were on her mind.

“Wh - why are you going back? Is Yoh going too?” she asked, hastily.

“Yes.” nodded Hao. “He should have come with me last time, it probably would have saved us a second journey.”

Tamao blinked at Hao’s words but remained silent. She decided not to point out the fact that Hao had not answered her first question.

There was another short pause before Hao stood up straight and sighed.

“It’s late, and, we’ll be heading out early so… I probably should … ” quietly said Hao before making his way to the doorway to head to his room. He then stopped for a moment, before turning back towards her.

“Maybe when I get back, we could do something fun together, take Opacho somewhere. It would be nice for her to experience some kind of normality. You know, the sort of thing a real family does.” Hao then closed his eyes and beamed a radiant kind smile at Tamao, before turning and walking calmly out of the room.

As Hao left, Tamao stepped backwards until she felt the kitchen counter on her lower back, like she was steadying herself. She inhaled sharply, and attempted to calm her racing heart as a delighted smile began to spread across her face.

“A real family.”

Cloaked Shaman: Sorry to interrupt the Spirit of Fire’s lunch, but I guess I just had to join the celebration over…the recent death of that entire shaman team.

Zang-Ching: Of course you’re here for that, cause once we’re done with you, you’re next on the entree plate, buddy!

Cloaked Shaman: I wouldn’t be too sure about that. After all, I’m far too familiar with how flagrant you guys are with lives, something Hao’s all too familiar with.

Hao: Is that so? 

Cloaked Shaman: Yeah. Since I'm all too familiar with your past lives…or your past deaths, as I like to call them.

Luchist: Past…deaths?

Cloaked Shaman: I was there to witness them both. And they were very well-deserved now that I mention it. Not to mention the deaths at the hands of all of you. Lilirara, Fudou and his team, Lyserg Diethel's parents; I was there to witness all of them. Each. Life. Human or Shaman alike. Frivolously. Taken. By you. And Fed. To the Spirit of Fire. But none of you even noticed me, because shamans like you laugh in the face of death, right? But you're not laughing now...are you?

Matilda: H-how does he even know about all that?

Turbine: But all of those deaths were necessary, my fellow shaman! To create the Shaman-only Kingdom Master Hao desires!

Peyote: There’s no way you could’ve known about all those fools…unless…

Hao: You’re no shaman at all. You’re…you’re…

Death: Death. And I don’t mean it metaphorically or rhetorically or poetically or theoretically or in any other fancy way. I’m Death. Straight. Up. And I’ve come for you, Hao Asakura, and all your vile disciples.

Hao: But…we’re all still alive.

Death: Y’know, I’m not really a shaman person. Aside from one special case, I find the very idea of humans controlling life after death absurd and with how flagrantly and willingly you ended the lives of most of the shamans competing in this tournament, unlike your brother, you clearly don’t value life at all. Not your brother’s, not your descendants, not even your own. So…why don’t I do us all a favor and take all of your lives now?

Opacho: But that…that’s cheating.

Death: Shhhh…don’t tell.

who cared about santa with sandark around? with wiz the red-nosed rabbit serving as the wings on his back, he descends and lands in a spectacular fashion right in front of opacho. elegant pride accompanies the brief adjustment of the cloth sack over his shoulder --- and yet his expression morphs into a bright, enthusiastic grin full of casual recognition in an instant.

' ... opacho! ' had she gotten anything already from others? but that didn't change sandark's rules for the season. ' merry christmas, happy holidays. i'm here to visit all the good little boys and girls and steal something from them --- yourself included, of course. '

the sack opens, and he digs about the inside of it; soon enough, his hands have retrieved a plush sheep, alongside fresh, scented crayons and an assortment of coloring pages. ' --- in exchange, i'll give you these. so, go on: your loneliness, your sadness, or your worries and fears over the future, tell me anything and everything, and this almighty sandark will take every bit of it away. '

Opacho had just finished putting away some of her gifts actually! So the sudden appearance of the thief comes as a surprise to her. He must have come through one of the pictures  in her room! “Merry Christmas!” She happily chimes back, meeting his grin with a large one of her own, only to pause as his words register. He came to steal something from her?

Her head tilts in confusion, smile slowly fading as she makes a big show of fluttering her arms beneath her cloak to showcase how she had nothing for him to take. “Opacho don’t have anything…” She pauses after that, his words finally registering.

He wasn’t just giving her gifts—he was offering to take something in return. Loneliness. Sadness. Worries. Whatever she decided, he would take it away. Opacho shakes her head, brows furrowing. “But if Dark take Opacho feelings away then he’ll be sad too…” No, she wouldn’t want to burden him with her feelings, they were complicated and their weight was far too heavy. Besides, not even the great Dark Mousey could bring back the dead.

“Opacho don’t want to trade feelings.” She looks at the gifts being offered. There had to be something else she could trade for them. Taking a quick glance around her somewhat sparse room her eyes fall upon the small toy chest tucked in the corner.

An idea immediately comes to the toddler and she rushes over, rummaging through her collection until she pulls out a different plush—a small, worn, plush tiger with button eyes and a stitched smile for a mouth. Toro! Big Ben had gotten this for her back when they traveled through America with Hao-sama. She kept it with her a lot back then when they traveled but nowadays poor Toro doesn’t see much time outside the treasure chest.

Opacho looks over the smiling tiger and hugs it tight as she concentrates. For a split second the tiger is outlined in a pure white energy then it disappears as though nothing were there. “Opacho trade this instead!”

She then thrusts the tiger at Dark after transferring a little of her furyoku into the plush. There’s no telling how long that energy would stay or the side effects but she had to give him something.

“Toro and Opacho help keep bad feelings away!” She surges forward after handing the plush over and setting aside his gifts, latching onto his leg so she could hug him, cheek mashed against the fabric of his pants while she looks up at him with a serious expression. “Now Dark won’t feel bad either!”

Hao observed his followers from atop of the hill, casually sitting down with one leg bent to rest his arm on. He enjoyed knowing that they trained to be stronger, ever-resilient and hardened. His eyes flitted over to one girl in particular.

"Kanako-san," he called out, an unassuming smile on his face. "Do you have a minute?"

Kanako has been in a better mood since she made a friend who is like her, those who can see unworldly spirits that wander around them. He had even taught her things that linked to her maternal grandmother's side, of their abilities, and how to harness them. Making her feel closer to her grandmother, yet she couldn't help but question why her grandmother hadn't taught them any of this when she was alive.

Agreeing to meet Hao again. She smiles when she sees him and calls her over. "Hao-san…" Calling his name. She was quickly greeted by several hateful glares from his "other companions". Especially from three girls with interesting looks, who gave her glares that were filled with venom. The Lioness didn't pay mind and was somewhat accustomed to those hateful and intimidating glares. As she often pretended not to see the weaker spirits who threw almost similar negative looks at her way, especially in a public setting.

Sitting next to him and Opacho. "I brought you and Opacho some homemade bento." Hearing that he wanders a lot and doesn't have a permanent home confused and saddened the Lioness. "I make them myself…" A little gesture of thanks for teaching soul abilities and being her friend.
