Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer - Pirates of the Caribbean - He's a Pirate 2003

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is a 2003 American fantasy swashbuckler film directed by Gore Verbinski, and starring Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, Orlando Bloom, and Keira Knightley. The plot follows the pirate Jack Sparrow and the blacksmith Will Turner as they attempt to rescue the kidnapped Elizabeth Swann. The trio encountersthe crew of the Black Pearl, who are afflicted by a supernatural curse.

After composer Alan Silvestri left the project, Hans Zimmer was asked to score the film, but since he was working on other projects, he gave the assignment to his colleague Klaus Badelt. Badelt is known for his collaborations with Zimmer, helping to write scores for dozens of critically acclaimed films including The Thin Red Line, The Prince of Egypt, and Gladiator. Zimmer however ended up writing many of the themes, including an early version of "He's A Pirate". Since the schedule was very tight and the music was needed for the film in three weeks, seven other composers — Ramin Djawadi, James Dooley, Nick Glennie-Smith, Steve Jablonsky, Blake Neely, James McKee Smith, and Geoff Zanelli — were called upon to help orchestrate the music and write additional cues. The resulting score was recorded with a group of musicians over the course of four days.

I like that Clay is really persistent on befriending plp or Lu ☹️ Lu is kinda used of plp wanting to befriend them but they ignore them lol- so they wouldn't pay a mind to it at first......until they realize Clay is really dedicated on becoming their friend....for a reason they don't know... So they'll indulge him for once and see how it goes (Lu would slightly open up, not full on pour their heart out but it's still a lot of them) omg they sound like me

ONE THING I'D SAY THO : When Mariana sees someone ask something from Clay and since he's a people pleaser he can't say no.... She'll get annoyed, walk up to them and straight up SNATCHES Clay away from the conversation and walk away with him. (if the same person walks up and tries again Mariana would say no instead of Clay)

Btw something I noticed is the length of the texts, like how Lu is the one with the slightly longer length (<—favoritism)

Ahem, as for the facts... I've been waiting for this.

Let's start with Clay :3

A bit before Step 3 he actually got fur (??) allergies! He doesn't know why it happened but he was DEFEATED when he found out

Somewhere in Step 4 Clay fully understood that he wanted to be a Math teacher and stay in Golden Grove. In Step 1 he wanted to be a sorcerer, in Step 2 he didn't really know, but wanted the job to be connected with Math somehow and in Step 3 he just.. didn't know anymore. The initial choice would be soo predictable, so "like him", but he couldn't do anything else at the same level as Math and he genuinely likes it, so what is he supposed to do?

I'm not sure if I've written this before, but in Step 1 he really likes rain and would honestly spend his whole day just walking around the neighbourhood with an umbrella and a rain coat (if he could😞). But in Step 2 Clay completely dislikes even the slightest of drizzles and just... sorry, no.

Not really fun facts but I think I forgot to say the basics lmao

He/him pronouns through all the Steps! And he is French. Please tell me if something is inaccurate (specifically his surname...) alright?😭 Ahem, he does speak French and will teach you some words if you want! Always gets excited if a person knows his native language. Didn't really have trouble with English since he did have friends back in his hometown that spoke it and he got used to switching languages. Not entirely though, his pronounciation of certain words is definetly a bit.. softer? than a native speaker's.

Okay, moving on to Cris...

In Step 1 she was actually quite energetic and a bit... bossy? She was much more talkative but bits and parts of her character in Step 2 still could be seen. (I need to draw her Step 1 design...)

Cristine REALLY likes the colour blue (the specific tint is on her skirt in Step 3 design, the main one!). She has liked it since Step 1 (maybe it was foreshadowing....) and made it quite clear with her usual outer wear (it's all blue)

She will be a vet in the future :3 Cris joined a volunteer organisation that helps stray animals in Golden Grove in Step 3 and she just... knew that she WOULD help animals for the rest of her life. Before her crush on Tamarack in Step 1 she had wanted to be a pop-star, after that she wanted to be a knight. In Step 2 she didn't really think about all of that, but maybe something related to fish... Or singing? Well, anyway

Her pronouns are she/her through all the Steps, and she is half British and half Romanian! Doesn't speak Romanian though since Opal is British here and nobody is there to teach her. In Step 1 liked to brag a bit about her Romanian side, but calmed down a bit since then.

And as for your MCs... Well, Maymay and Cris are besties now, no questions asked, thank you. Maymay and Clay though... I think they would get along, but it would be hard to call them friends (but I think they both would say that they are if asked lol), they would be only just acquantancies probably? They have potential, but they wouldn't have much things to talk about :')

I haven't fully grasped Lu's character yet, I think, so I'll just voice my thoughts, you can correct me or give more details :3

So, I imagine all of our MCs' meetings would happen in Step 2 for some reason, so I'll go from that.

Cris is not really enthusiastic about keeping people who don't like her (or at least seem to) close so I don't think they would be close :') Especially since they both have their own problems to deal with. However, even if they were not close, she could lend an ear to Lu's ramblings (but only that... She is not good at giving advice, she knows that and will not try), only if they open up.

But Clay is a different story. He is a bit like Qiu in Step 1, he will NOT give up on befriending a person even if it's quite clear that they don't like him (he doesn't want to admit that people can just... not like him. Without even knowing him first. He isn't stuck-up or anything, just confused.) It would take a looong time for Clay to give up, he would try to be as gentle or as energetic as needed, and it's easy for him to understand what people need at the moment, so maybe that might help Lu open up?

Mariana.....😭😭 Oh well, the dynamics between her and my MCs are clear now I think lol

They run into each other at the supermarket poultry section. They're stuck in place, staring, until Maddie rests her hand on her stomach. Tommy's eyes flick down, then back at her. 

"Congrats."

"Thanks." 

Maddie's imagined the things she would say on Buck's behalf, but now they're gone. It's just her.

"Please, answer when he calls."

"Maddie, look at me," he says softly. "He can't want me."

She smiles. "He can handle you."

He flashes a smile, too. "I don't think I can handle him."

"Come over tonight. He's cooking." She grabs a pack of chicken tenders, then tears up suddenly. "You don't know what you can handle unless you stay."

Tommy's expression mirrors hers. "Yeah. I'll be there."
