Everyone is all like 'oh the Appalachian mountains are so old, they're older than all this really old stuff, they're sooooo old' Yeah they are and that's cool but you know what mountains are older? The Hamersley Range in Western Australia. By almost 3 times.

The Appalachians are 1.2 Billion Years Old. That's really old! The Hamersley Range is 3.4 Billion Years Old. That's before there was oxygen accumulating in Earth's atmosphere. They are older than AIR.

Due to nearly three an a half billion years of erosion, the tallest peak in the range is only 1,249 meters tall - that's 4,098 feet.

Australia is an extremely ancient continent, geologically. The mountains are in the Karijini National Park, which is 6,274.22 km2 (2,422.5 sq mi). They also contain Juukan gorge, which was the site of an incredible sacred cave that contained evidence of human occupation dating abck at least 32,000 years. The archeological significance (and cultural significance to the local Aboriginal people) of this site cannot be overstated. This cave was destroyed by mining company Rio Tinto in 2020. Florence Hamersley headcanons?

Hello! Idk if some of this will just be repeating stuff from Jolly Foul Play but anyway here's some headcanons:

- very angry a lot of the time- sports helps her vent some of her anger, that's why she likes it so much

-kind of reminds me a bit of Lavinia so possibly ADHD? Also could use sport as a way of using some energy

-very practical- could never understand Lettice fussing over hair and how she looks (still worried about her though)

- probably close to Una because it was her she met up with in Jolly Foul Play but I think she would be close to Margaret too. I now headcanon her as a lesbian (possibly Margaret/ Florence ? Absolutely no evidence but that's fiiine)

- I imagine her to have lived in a big country house, playing sports in the grounds.

- She HATES parties or balls or whatever because she has to wear dresses and make up and also they're very boring.

- Cuts her hair really short as soon as she moves out and her parents can't tell her what to do

- I think that she would feel more comfortable with herself during the war because women were taking on roles that were seen as more masculine and so she's not as confined to things that people thought of as feminine (possibly non- binary Florence?).

Thanks for the ask because I hadn't given her that much thought and now I've built up more of a person in my head, rather than one of the Five.

At the time with the painting finalized they were installing the LEDs for the Expresso Paulista Christmas excursion. (Locomotive 9380, originally a C36-7, was built in April 1978 for the Hamersley Iron Railroad in Australia; along with two more identical units, being numbered 5057, 5058 and 5059, all manufactured by A. Goninan & Co, at Broadmeadow, Newcastle, Australia, under license from GE. In August 1998, all three were sold to the National Railway Equipment Company - NREC initially leased to Norfolk Southern Railway. The 5057 and 5058 were sold to Brazil acquired by Fiagril. The former 5057 became the 9380 and the former 5058 became the 9381. In September 2019 it was put up for sale by the owner at an auction, being bought by ABPF - Regional Sul de Minas. A "heritage" paint layout was designed, a paint scheme alluding to the former FEPASA - Ferrovias Paulistas S.A., which managed much of the São Paulo rail network between 1971 and 1998).
