in times of struggles (travelling) and disasters (tim hortons serving no food anywhere i go) i can always rely on the subway sandwich i would order at 4 years old.
#ham and cheese no cheese 😔😔😔 no anything on it 😔😔😔😔#is this my regular subway order? no!! i usually get a different sub with a bunch of stuff on it#but I’ve been go go go for 17 hours and i have another 15 to go#my head will not hit a pillow until tomorrow late afternoon 😭#so i just need to feel like a baby and comfort myself with my simple baby sub#almost tried ordering a sub bun on its own but i got insecure

Why the fuck am i genuinely spending LESS money now that i eat more and actually cook. Like, cooking at home actually can be very quick and cheap???
#the only things i need from the store in addition to things for meals are packs of bread. cheese or ham to add on bread. instant oatmeal#packs that last for a good while. and like bananas and yogurt etc for snacks#also realized that its gonna be pretty cheap to make bread buns at home#microwave meal here costs like around 3 euros premade. if i make the food myself the same amount costs maybe euro or so#thats a big save when you cook every day!!!#i really really recommend cooking more at home if you can!#im rediscovering how much i like cooking and baking!!!!!

Sis turned the colourful plain mantou (馒头) from Just Dough into a Mantou Sandwich. Filling it with a slice of picnic ham, cheese, fried egg and pickled daikon in-between. Suddenly, the plain old bun doesn’t tasted boring anymore.

People put a plain slice of cheese in between two bread slices?!?! (Not counting grilled chesse, it slaps when toasted. But like. PLAIN????)
I was reading a thing where an American was saying that Europeans are weird for putting butter in sandwiches and like ??
So, do Americans not put butter in their sandwiches? Like, I get if you’re having cream cheese, or PB&J or something else with a bit of moisture in it, I don’t have butter with that either, but what if you were having, say, a cheese sandwich, a normal one made with just cheese, I’m assuming you wouldn’t have a slice of cheese between two bits of dry bread. So what would you have? Do you use something instead of butter/margarine, or do you just not have that kind of a sandwich?
This might seem a random question, but I actually need to know this for the purpose of writing fanfic.
#The ideal Sandwich recipe I have inherited is#Croissant bun + meat + cheese + mayo#And regular sandwiches are bread + meat + cheese + mayo/butter (1 or other#comma. Not both)#I'm half-American raised in a more American-leaning house (Mom - Brazilian - is sometimes more patriotic to America than Dad)#Even so there' still occasional culture shocks. Which are very interesting!#btw meat can include sliced ham (comma) mayonnaise-laden tuna (comma) and occasionally sliced hotdog or turkey kielbasa.

Chipped Ham BBQ Mac & Chips?
There's comfort food, then there's uncomfortable food.
So, if you already have the best Chipped Ham BBQ recipe of all time, you may want to try this absolute garbage pile of over-processed comfort food. I posted it on a few spots, but it garnered the most attention in a private food group. It also got me Zucked by Meta AI bots for calling it “ωнιтє тяαѕн ηα¢нσѕ.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Eric Carroll (@aixelsyd13) I also posted…

Chicken - Chicken Cordon Bleu Burgers Recipe
The flavor of the original chicken cordon bleu is present in this simple sandwich that is suitable for children. Swiss cheese, chicken, and ham are cooked until the cheese melts and then served with a creamy honey-mustard sauce on toasted onion buns.

For this year’s World Cup, McDonald’s Singapore had kicked off with a not one but two new burgers, a side order and dessert to ensure fans don’t go hungry during the early morning live broadcast. I went ahead and order takeout for a set of Smoky BBQ Chicken Special, ala carte Hawaiian Grill Chicken and McChicken.
youtube
Mum got the Hawaiian Grill Chicken Burger (S$7.10). A juicy grilled chicken patty drizzled with spicy mayonnaise paired with tangy, grilled pineapple and chicken ham and topped with soft, white sesame seed bun.
For my Smoky BBQ Chicken Special (S$9.90), I upgraded my gassy drink to a small iced green tea (+S$0.80). The first thing that caught my eyes is the new dark malt bun sandwiching a chicken ham patty coated in crispy batter, savoury chicken bacon, melty cheese and refreshing tomato drizzled with smoky BBQ chipotle sauce. The burger tasted like barbecue with crispy lettuces and juicy tomato to boot though I can’t really say if I enjoyed the earthy malt buns.
I also picked up a McChicken (S$2.50) in case the above set doesn’t fills me up. The Potato Pops or tater tots from the set meal are supposed to be seasoned with herbs and spices but the flavour is a little underwhelming though I still enjoyed popping it into my mouth.
