Okay tumblr lets talk theories again.

(my brain rot + knowledge of religion has me all up in Hazbin Hotel right now.)

Today I want to talk Biology! Mostly because I made the poor choice of going to Twitter's chaggie tag and looking at the comments...

So can we discuss Why do so many people keep trying to apply HUMAN biology to the Half-Demon Nephillim daughter of an Arch-Angel?!

Okay I'll start at the begining and work my way to the reasons why if Charlie really wants a kid with Vaggie both of them being assigned female at creation probably isn't going to matter.

Let's start with Lucifer!

So as far as has been shown in the show Lucifer is an original Archangel even down to his lovely 6 red wings. This makes him one of the most powerful beings in heaven.

(If we go by bible text he was actually a favorite until his dreams of free will led him astray and depending on the text he merely has to admit he was wrong and ask for forgiveness to return)

Now looking at everything after this fall he has never lost his Angelic Abilities. His default powers are still angelic gold.

We do see he also has a Full Demon form when he is pissed. Interestingly enough his crown also doubles as a halo in this form. Also note for later just how much Charlie resembles him in both forms.

This suggest that at root biology Lucifer is still an archangel with demon traits. This combination is most likely what makes him the strongest being in hell by a long shot. The only reason others even have power is purely because he doesnt care enough to flex his power and has no desire to actually rule.

Now on to Lilith!

What do we know about Lilith?

Well we know she was a created human not born.

She was Adam's equal

And she left and got with Lucifer before the fall.

So here is the deal... I dont think Lilith can be classified as a sinner. She didnt die to end up in hell and in fact she fell before hell was really a thing. she helped create it after all. (Plus you know Charlie exsists)

So what IS Lilith? I think Lilith as one of a few Actual Demons. And if we have to classify her she'd be closer to a Sin. I actually think of Lilith as the Sin of Pride in Hazbin Hotel not Lucifer. We are even told that She created pentagram city and developed hell while lucifer kept to his workshop in depression.

Now let's talk about this scene for a second. Lilith fell from heaven/earth Alive and possibly even immortal since human kind was immortal before Eve took the apple.

Lilith gains power from her fall into hell. She develops demon like attributes and seems to have musical based magic. She also seems to retain or get immortality. So what does this fall mean? It means that Lilith was NOT HUMAN by the time Charlie was born.

So what does this mean for Charlie?

Well for one Charlie is NOT just some Hellborn. She is by Definition a Nephilim but she is not half-human. She would most likely be considered a Half-Demon, Half-Angel Nephilim.

This would explain her expansive (if never used) power base. The official power ranking has her tied with Lilith with only Lucifer being more powerful. Which makes complete sense. She is the Heir to the entire thing after all. (I actually think this is why Alastor couldnt make a deal for her soul and settled for a favor instead)

She also inheirited Angelic powers from her father. As seen by the fact that her default magic is gold. Which means she has angel blood in her veins. Lets be honest i wouldnt be surprised if she ended up bleeding gold in the future.

In fact she seems to have inherited most of her abilities from dear old dad.

Im pretty sure that just by shear ability and magic if Charlie wanted a kid she could probably create/magic one into exsistance no matter who her partner was.

But lets review Vaggie just for fun! Because I have thoughts

What do we actually know about Vaggie?

Well we know she is an angel. I say is because I dont think Lute or Adam actually have the power to cast an angel out of heaven AND she gets her wings back. This would mean she is not actually a sinner she would be closer to a fallen angel like lucifer.

We know she speaks Spanish and seems to be of Hispanic nature. BUT! Do we know if she was ever really human?!

We know Adam claims to have named her Vaggie. This could suggest three things

1) exorcist take on a new name when they join. But if this was true why wouldnt she leave this name behind and return to her human name once in hell? It would have kept her secret better and you'd figure she would want to leave behind the negative feelings that would come with her exorcist name.

2) Adam in his self-centered ways misheard her real name (maybe something like Aggie from Agatha or Maggie) and thought she said Vaggie or actively chose to misinterpret her name and she never cared to correct him. BUT Once more why would she not just return to her real name once with Charlie in hell?

Or 3) And this one is the real kicker. Vaggie is a Heaven-born Angel.

If the answer is 3 than it would imply that she was never human which brings her closer to lucifers biology.

Some other interesting things to consider about this last theory. Lute and Vaggie resemble each other a great deal. In fact, all the exorcist seem to have a similar body type. (I mean you could argue its the uniform but even without the uniform the resembalance between lute and vaggie is uncanny) and if I remember correctly at one point the exterminators are refered to as sister? I mean this could mean sisters-in-arms BUT What if ALL exorcist were heaven-born?

If they were never human this could explain both their ability and their desire to slay sinners. Much like Sera they wouldn't have any sympathy for the dammed because they wouldn't have any possible family that could end up down there. They would also have Very little connection to or concern for former humans. After all like Adam said they had their chance and they screwed up.

So in the end what does this all mean?

Well I actually already kind of said it

1) Fandom really needs to stop applying human biology to Charlie. She is a half demon half archangel Nephilim with incredible magic.

If charlie wants a kid she can probably magic one up no matter the obsticles please stop asking artist and writers how it is possible for her and vaggie to have a kid/get pregnant if they are both women - the answer is Charlie Magic.

2) all 4 of the above have the potential to be way stronger than they have been shown in the show.

And

3) Charlie is a potential BadAss and is just too nice to go full tactical nuke - this will be covered in my next ted talk.

Friendship, adventure, magic and more come together in this really fun middle grade novel. I loved the adventure that I got to go on with Dori and her friendship with Silis was sweet. This was a really unique story and I think that young readers will definitely have fun with it!

Review: I'll be honest, I didn't finish this book. I read the vietnam war part, and skipped the rest because even the war part was difficult to get through. This wasn't quite a 1 star book but it definitely came close. For anyone who has read anything about Operation Market Time, the Swift boats, or even coastal advisors - this book sets off red flags and alarm bells. The author has some very strong opinions about everyone and everything and often ... well ... let's just say that he vacillates wildly from complete bullshit to just plain stupid. Avoid this book and read Bob Andretta's Brown Water Runs Red for a better book on the Junk Force.

probably one off my favourite Vocaloid albums ever releasedThis album is probably my favourite Vocaloid album ever!! mainly because of its amazing production value. I particularly love the percussions.

There's so many good tracks in this album like Strobe Last, (ストロボラスト) with its cool ecteronic sounds and memorable melody.

I also really liked the track Halo with its chiptune type style. but to be honest all the songs are really good and well made.

Highly recommend this album to anyone who loves Vocaloid (Even though in that case you probably already know who they are) or wants to get into it.

This was an amazing project rest in peace powapowa ✌️

How's it going everyone? Happy MLK Jr day, unfortunately what I'm gonna be talking about today is anything but happy. Today I'll be giving my review for the...much anticipated disaster that is...Velma.

I honestly did not think I could find something even worse than the Fairly Odder show.....but once again, life finds a way.....to prove me wrong. While Fairly Odder is the worse variation of a beloved franchise in the form of a kids show, Velma is definitely the worse variation of a beloved franchise in the form of an adult show. There is so much wrong with this show that I don't even know where to start, guess I'll dive into this dumpster fire and hopefully come out the other side with my sanity intact.

I guess we should start with how Scooby Doo started. This property goes all the way back to 1969, All the characters have been established since 1969. Now I don't have a problem with modernizing the characters, I honestly don't. There have been several attempts to make them up to date and each decade has had one iteration or another of the Mystery Gang. Now some can argue those old direct to video Scooby Doo movies from the 80's with Red shirt Shaggy and Scrappy Doo is a notable exception where the gang wasn't present and that's true. Some argue that they're great some argue that they go against the source material it's kind of mixed. I personally thought they were entertaining despite that the gang wasn't whole and that it focused on wacky monster adventures rather than solving mysteries. While that is the case, they at least kept the main character Scooby Doo in the movies and they kept in spirit of the franchise. It is a Scooby Doo project that's trying to mix up the formula. Velma feels completely opposite, it feels like it was meant to be something else, but someone at WB decided to slap the Scooby Doo characters names on it because no one had faith in the show. This is the exact same reason the Halo TV Show failed. They made something generic and used a beloved property to make sure its watched to a certain degree. Velma pays no respect to the franchise its "supposedly" based off of. All the characters are different and given either architypes that don't fit them at all like Shaggy (or Norville as he's called in the show. guess they wanna use Shaggy's real name to make him less stoner...idk it doesn't work) or cliché architypes like Fred who of course was given the rich white boy who's dumb and slightly racist. Velma and Daphne are basically self inserts of Mindy Kaling and Constance Wu.

Now the characters/cast, no disrespect to any of them they're all just doing their jobs. However, it does not excuse how the direction given to them is nothing short of a...not so much a slap to the face of the Scooby Doo fandom, but more of a sledgehammer to the face. Mindy herself is an executive producer and I really feel she wanted to make this show something else but someone told her "Use the Scooby Doo franchise, that'll make your show great!". As I mentioned, the show is so far from the source material that it doesn't feel like Scooby Doo. In fact, Scooby Doo, the main character and mascot of the Mystery Gang, is not in the show. To be honest that is probably for the best so they don't ruin him. How can you have a Scooby Doo show without Scooby Doo? It's not a spinoff it's its own thing. I mentioned what types of characters they are, and each one is just...unlikable, especially Velma. Again, no disrespect to the cast for doing their jobs but none of the characters are likable in any way shape or form. Velma is cocky, know it all, rude, mean spirited, a basic bitch. Daphne is a cliché popular girl who is just inconstant yet has her moments of character development but it feels so forced that it's hard to enjoy it. Norville (aka Shaggy) is suppose to be the opposite version of Shaggy where he anti-drugs, bland personality, he's a literal simp for Velma (who treats him poorly), and is just boring to watch. Fred is the preppy rich white kid who looks down on everyone under him and his gag is that he has a small penis...no jokes its a gag that just doesn't go away. Daphne is by far the least bad but that's not saying much. I can't enjoy any of them, they're just hard to watch and mean spirited overall. As I said, I don't have an issue with reimagining's of characters, I'm not bothered by the fact that they're different ethnicities and backgrounds. It's a bit jarring because why not just make original characters with these designs? If you want representation then created new characters that can set that trail. But even if you change these established characters backgrounds, it wouldn't been an issue if you were able to maintain the key aspects of those characters. This show just straight up replaced their character aspects with something different. All the lovable traits of the gang are all gone, they've all been replaced with just generic high school tropes.

Damn, I'm barely getting to the actual episodes just now? That should be a telling sign. I tried to watch the first episode and I could not make it pass the ten minute mark. I have not raged out of a show that fast since Fairly Odder last year. The first episode tried to real Meta and poke fun at movies/tv shows tropes but it doesn't land. The humor feels so forced and nothing builds up to it. A show can at least be watchable if the humor makes it so bad its good, but the humor is such a miss 99% of the time and its so bad...its just bad. They make fun of tropes and try to be meta but none of it works, there's no real set up for the humor and the jokes feel more mean spirited like the 420 joke they told in this show, jabbing at adults who like animation. It doesn't feel like it was made for fun, it felt like it was meant to resent the audience and alienate the fandom. The locker room scene with the dead girl had the joke "She has no brain!" that joke felt like it was AI generated or something a 10 year old could have made. I also find it odd how they talk about the nudity tropes while there's high school girls nude in the shower. If this is meant to appeal to an adult audience...why have high school girls naked? This show is trying to be woke and PC yet you went with a cliché that I strongly feel is outdated and unnecessary as well as just alarming. I understand these are fictional characters, but it doesn't make it any less creepy and unnerving. They also make plenty of pop culture references that just feel....lame. None of it is funny or delivered in any fun or funny way.

Do I think a Scooby Doo show with more mature themes can work?

Yes! It can work and its been proven to work. Mystery Incorporated proved it can work with dark mature themes and fleshing out the characters for modern times. If Velma took a page out of Mystery Incorporated, it could have actually been an entertaining adult cartoon. The Velma show had the potential to be good, I'll admit the animation isn't half bad at times. For the most part it looks average, but the animation has it's moments especially when Velma has her ghoulish anxiety episodes, the animation is actually pretty cool I wish it was more like that style. Even if they didn't want to take inspiration from Mystery Incorporated, I still feel that they could have gone about this show in several ways.

First off, age the characters up. Make them like young adults in college or just in general that way the nudity and raunchiness has more justification to stay rather than sexualizing high schoolers (which has been done to hell and back and is just outdated).

Secondly, there should be more focus on Velma's mom. That may be the one element that could save the show. I don't know if they're saving it for later on or as a finale type deal but I feel that had they established Velma's mom as a main plotline in the show, it would make it more interesting, more of a Mystery/crime solving show.

Third, why couldn't these characters be their own characters rather than the actual mystery gang? I think these guys would have done better if they were a new batch of meddling kids that would be successors to the original mystery gang. In fact there is gonna be a Scooby Doo show about that for preschoolers called Scooby Doo and the Mystery Pups coming soon. It is exactly what I'm suggesting for the Velma show. This should have been new characters brought in to take on the mantle of the mystery gang rather than being cheap imitations of the actual gang.

Final suggestion, DONT MAKE A SCOOBY DOO SHOW IF THERE IS NO SCOOBY DOO!

Overall, This is yet another show that was trying to build off the name of a beloved franchise and failed completely. This I feel is yet another instant of handing beloved properties to people who do not like or respect the source material in the slightest and made whatever they felt like and alienated the fanbase. Velma is down there with Animaniacs (2020), Powerpuff Girls (2016), Teen Titans Go!, and Fairly Odder. There's talks of a Season 2 coming out and I encourage everyone to not watch it. Don't give it the time of day because if you do, WB will continue making shit like this and the only way for them to stop is to hit them where it hurts, profit. If you wanna give Velma a go then by all means but I'm not gonna keep watching it. If something happens that makes it suddenly good then I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I highly doubt that.

I know this may seem premature to rate it this early on in its run but I do not believe it will get any better. If by some miracle it does, I will come back and reevaluate it with a firm apology. I'm open to be proven wrong but I stand by that this show is beyond saving and I do not recommend anyone watch it whether its Ironic or Unironic. Never thought there could be a show that would beat out Fairly odder.

First review of 2023, off to a good start....Hopefully the next pieces of media I cover won't be as horrendous.

This isn't fandom post but since I have this place as a blog anyway, might as well use it for official announcement / longform thoughts.

No, this isn't a vtuber graduate or hiatus announcement, but I want to share my thoughts about the future of me, Rizki Salminen, moving forward in 2023-2024 and I want to explain it in a longform post to everyone and to my community.

This tweet from Theo about funneling past through my timeline recently, and it got me thinking about my path forward as a Virtual Youtuber. So think of this as like, the patch notes for 2023.

Before we get started, here are key objectives that I want to achieve in 2023-2024

Extend runaway until February 2024 (when Indonesia Presidential Election takes place)

Start building presence in Tiktok and Instagram

Increase VOD content (gameplay highlights, stream highlights, editorial commentary)

To achieve these 3 goals, there will be changes to content format moving forward.

Less Game Streams I'll just be honest with you all, the metrics for my gaming streams compared to Spicy Talk is extremely abysmal and after reviewing all the VODs for the past year or so, I realized that I am not exactly an entertaining streamer to watch when I play video games. So moving forward in 2023, there will be significantly less gaming streams. For the ones that have been planned for long term such as Grounded and Destiny 2 streams, those will still continue. And I am committed to continue hosting Halo Infinite Customs Fiesta with other vtubers and streamers across Southeast Asia at least once or twice a month. And I will still appear in other people's stream or collabs when they invite me to play on-stream, I just won't open my POVs

New Content: Spicy Bites @ Tiktok I've noticed from my followers that a lot of you prefers Tiktok as your go-to destinations for content. I am a boomer, and I still don't understand Tiktok and I have been struggling to make my stream highlights for Tiktok. So, I've decided to just make a dedicated content for Tiktok on Tiktok. Spicy Bites will be basically Spicy Talk you know and love in shorter format (like 2-5 minutes) that will be available on Tiktok and Instagram Reels. If I somehow made an even shorter one, I will post in on Youtube Shorts.

New Content: Spicy Meals @ Youtube (Tentative) And if I can make Spicy Bites routinely and consistently, I will develop it further into longform video on Youtube. The format could be editorial + stream highlights, it could be full editorial commentary. Who knows, we'll see how Spicy Bites goes first.

New Content: Spicy Talk Highlights! I know not a lot of you can watch Spicy Talk LIVE, so moving forward there will be edits of Spicy Talk that is more digestable and easier to watch on Youtube for those who missed it or want to save their data plans. I am preparing the final budget calculations for a part time editors, and I already have two candidates who are interested to do edits. I just need to write it down in contract (but I keep forgetting to do that) Moving forward, there will be a seperate channels for stream archive too.

And yes, that's my plan for 2023. Although can I talk about something deep from heart? (CW: Suicidal Ideations, you can skip this part if it makes you uncomfortable)

2022 was my darkest and brightest years. I was jobless for 5 months, struggling financially and I was frustrated that after I sent 120+ CVs nothing went through until recently. I feel like a burden for my family and on February 2022, I was this close of buying Ricinus communis seeds to kill myself. I already prepared letters and letters of will too.

But that didn't went through after I saw light in the end of the tunnel. And what was the light?

You. All of you. Whether you are just a follower of me, member of the Salmonheads, my IRL friends, and my vtuber friends, or even just mutuals online...you guys made me realize that if I'm gone, there will be people who feel hurt and miss me.

Because for the longest time, I always thought people would celebrate if I'm gone. People would be happy if I die or kill myself. No more Rizki Salminen who has been a burden and trouble for the family since he was a kid, no more the son of a mother who wishes he were never born.

So, thank you. To all of you. You have proven that what my family said were wrong, you have proven what I thought wrong.

I have found my 'voice' as a Virtual Youtuber thanks to all of you, and it is now my responsibility to hone and sharpen it so my "voice" can reach more people. I know this will sound parasocial as-shit but I love you guys because you loved me.

So yea...that's all I gotta say.

Dark, gritty, grim ~ Couldn't put it down!

What I liked: * Josie: homicide detective, married, had a difficult childhood discussed in previous books, happily married to Noah, competent, professional, good at her job, someone I would like to call friend * Noah: police lieutenant working with Josie and also her husband, loving, kind, supportive, bright, protective, patient, perfect for Josie * The plot, pacing, setting, police procedural aspects of the story, and writing * Wondering if Josie and Noah will start a family in the next book and if Josie goes on the retreat mentioned in this story she will find a way to lay some of her demons to rest * The red herrings, twists and turns the way Josie and her team finally found out where the Woodsman originated and who it was * The psychological elements from the death of friends and loved ones, dysfunctional families, and the Woodsman story on the community

* Wondering if some of the characters like Gretchen, Amber, and Luke will find partners in future books * Knowing that there will be another book in the series What I didn’t like: * Who and what I was meant not to like

* Thinking about nature vs nurture and how it impacts the creation of good/evil people

* Knowing that the evil in this story is no doubt all too possible in real life

June 2023 was dedicated to one specific thing (well it’s a two parter, but one goal none the less). That goal was TO RELAX!

My final year in university has been exhausting and unexpected. It leads me to make some friends but battle myself with priorities. Since April, I made it my mission to nurture my life with simple relaxation. Initially, I thought I would turn to my original plan of gaming, but instead, I decided to delve into my reading since my eyes were exhausted from staring at a screen from behind a desk.

Preface: I have never been a huge reader. I only read when it came down to non-fiction and research. I was never a fantasy or fiction person.

This summer I will be sharing my Summer reads with you in 3 parts. It will include a song of the month and the books I read with a mini-review and a rating. I will avoid spoilers, but these are my honest opinions.

Now, here is my June Reads of 2023 (Part 1/ 3 Summer Reads)⛱️

The City of Brass by S.A Chakraborty: Rating- 5/5: It took me years to get my hands on this book! I was always so hesitant and similarly to Mexican Gothic, it would stare at me every time I entered a bookstore! I finally got it after reading The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi and practically falling in love with Chakraborty's work. Although people said there was a slow build-up, this book was still thoroughly enjoyable. The first time I flipped through Ali's part, I ended up craving to know more. This book was a great introduction to the world and caught me by surprise. Additionally, the main character Nahri was absolutely enjoyable. I could only wait to read more about her. Loved it! Was a masterpiece and forced me to immediately read the rest of the series!

The Kingdom of Copper by S.A Chakraborty: Rating-4.5/5: I launched into The Kingdom of Copper right after The City of Brass and I was shocked by the early revelations. It really shaped the characters and revealed some shocking details. I honestly have to go back and read it again as it was intense and I guess I was distraught that a specific character's journey made me want to chuck my book across the room, but it is what it is. Thoroughly enjoyed this as well. Simply.

The Empire of Gold by S.A Chakraborty: Rating- 6/5: I LOVED THIS BOOK! This was the first 700+ page book I ever committed to reading, and I surprisingly read through it in 3 days. I want to go back and read it all over again! It was... Amazing. No thoughts, just tears and a heavy heart. This book made committing to a trilogy worth it, and I never had been happier with how everything turned out. I loved this book with all my heart. 10000% recommend.

Arsenic & Adobo by Mia P. Manansala: Rating- 4/5: Honestly, this was a very fun book to read. It was filled with delicious food, funny moments, and an intriguing mystery. It was a nice filler read as I hunted down another book, but I ended up curious about the whole Tita Rosie's Kitchen Mystery series.

Homicide & Halo-Halo by Mia P. Manansala: Rating-3/5: I wasn't super impressed with this second book. I was intrigued by the plot with the pageants and the gruesome murder, but I have to admit... There was a ton of stereotypical dumping of Filipino culture (which I understood was a staple to the author's work, but took away from the story). It got a bit repetitive and did not necessarily fulfill my urge to continue reading the series. However, Arsenic & Adobo will push me to stay curious about what is going on moving forward.

Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia: Rating- 4/5: If you are following my blog you can see my review on my page, but I will keep it short for this to recapture my thoughts. This book was not what I expected. I was thinking this would be a haunted house situation, but it is so much more complex. As a person who is a complete wuss and cannot deal with horror, I was mortified by the idea of picking up this book. However, I felt deeply attached to this work. The main character resonated with me a bit too much, and the journey it takes you on is well worth it by the end. I would not pick this book up again cause I am a wimp and it creeps me out, but if I ever grew a pair, I would go back and indulge. I would recommend this book to anyone who is new or curious about the horror genre but is too scared to do so.

The Promised Land by Barack Obama: Rating- 5/5: As I started my reading journey and revisited my old interests, I thought it would be smart to read The Promised Land by Barack Obama. This biography of Barack Obama reminded me of the first time I picked up Dreams of My Father back in 2008. I was in the 5th grade, and I was mesmerized by the thought of him being in office. I am not American, but it was a moment in history I will forever remember. Picking this book up, I felt like that same curious kid and relished in the history I got to live through and understand his time in office. The transparency and the humanized aspect of his presidency made me reflect on my own life and recognize the changes that have been made since. I love the Obama's and I would recommend this book if you are into those conversations.

Twisted Love by Ana Huang: Rating-3/5: I read this book after seeing it on all of Booktok! I was so unsure because I am not super into salacious reads. But I picked it up yesterday morning, and then I completed it after 5 hours. I was shocked. I blushed and had to admit...It was quite sexy, BUT... I felt that Alex was so cliched and corny. I understand the corny romantic bad boy type, but there were just some things that Huang wrote that made me cringe. However, I would be a liar to say I didn't blush and have to check myself for being so engulfed in the material. Will I continue reading the Twisted series? I have no clue... Am I intrigued by her other series Kings of Sin, I also do not know. But I absolutely fear romance readers who pick this book up in public. You have the utmost strength to read that and not react, because...Oof, it was ghost pepper hot. but 3/5 for sure.

CANNIBAL CORPSE/IMMOLATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey folks, sorry for running 48 hours late but better late than never, here is my 16th and 2nd last review of 2022, Cannibal Corpse/Immolation!!!!! This was my 7th time seeing both of these bands and it was the first time in 3 years I saw both of these bands as I last saw them October 24th, 2019 at Lee’s Palace and November 15th, 2019 at Opera House respectively, so it felt great to see both of these great death metal bands. This was a rather weird tour as it was half death metal and half black metal, but it’s not the first time I’ve seen weird packages like this.

Let’s start the festivities!

First band up was Black Anvil. This was my 4th time seeing this band as I last saw them 11 years ago at Annex Wreckroom with Marduk and Aura Noir and I’ll be honest, I found them boring to see live. Great energy by the band members, but music wise they were out of place and it gave me more reason to save my energy. Definitely a band I have no interest in seeing on their own anytime soon.

Second band up was IMMOLATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was my 7th time seeing them as it had been 3 years since I last saw them at Lee’s Palace. It would’ve been my 8th time had Sacred Reich/Sepultura not been on the same day as Immolation playing their headline show at Velvet Underground, but I wanted to end my Sacred Reich drought once and for all and I did just that. These guys always put on a great show especially with the moves Bob Vigna does onstage while playing especially when he plays his solos. Barring any scheduling conflicts, I look forward to seeing them at next years Wacken Open Air. Here’s their setlist:

After Immolation it was Dark Funeral. I will be honest, like Black Anvil, I also found Dark Funeral to be boring and a snooze fest live, and I found them to be out of place on the bill as well. I didn’t have high expectations for them since Emperor Magus Caligula’s departure. However, I do give current frontman Heljarmadr credit for iginiting the crowd when he said “I have a queston, have you all heard of a town called Montreal? *Crowd responds* Let’s see if you can make as much noise as they can *crowd gets loud*. Let me help  you, I want you to say the words Hail Satan okay? 1,2,3, HAIL SATAN *Crowd says HAIL SATAN* HAIL SATAN *Crowd screams HAIL SATAN louder* HAIL SATAN *Crowd screams Hail Satan the loudest* Yes you nailed it”. All in all this is one band I have  no interest in seeing live on their own anytime soon.

After Dark Funeral it was time for the headliners CANNIBAL CORPSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was my 7th time seeing them live and first time in almost 3 years since I last saw them which was at a sold out Opera House on Friday November 15th, 2019 and as always Cannibal Corpse put on a great live show. Also in addition George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher’s comedic banters in between songs get funnier as before he played Fucked with a Knife he said the following “It’s great to be back huh? So I hope your ready for more death metal because we got lots of fuckin’ songs to play here. And you’re getting them whether you want them or not. Of course you can leave but you know what I’m saying. This is a special dedication, it goes out to all the women out there tonight. Every time I say that, it’s all the guys going “YEAHH ALRIGHT YEAHH” where are the fuckin’ women? Let me hear it *loud screams from women* damn, normally it’s like twenty, which is good for metal, but that was a lot more so this one is for the ladiiieeessss. You’re not going to like it, once I announce it though... FUCKED WITH A KNIFE”. Another funny banter he said in between songs before I Cum Blood was "Yeah, where the fuck are we at? Let's see. Aright, this next song, goes out to any one of you who are interested in headbanging. Hair whippin, hair spinnin', headbangin', whatever you wanna call it, if you wanna do that, this is the song for you. Try and I stress try to keep up with me, you will fail MISERABLY, but you can still try, there's no harm in that, I'm a professional you are not. I'm the only fuckin professional. To be honest, I haven't been keeping up with that movie or its reviews. Her PR has really been going all out for her though, I have noticed that. I don't think it will ruin her career, she's already pretty booked with upcoming projects. I think maybe it might take a little shine off her halo of "awards worthy" level actress.

                  ~ Review of Face Halo, a make-up removing product ~ 

Oh, the powers of make-up. 

Being able to cover up blemishes, add a healthy glow to the skin or completely transform the way we look from day to day are some of the main things I absolutely love about make-up. I know not all of my followers reading this are fans of make-up or wear it very little, but I wanted to include a make-up removing product here as it’s a nifty skincare tool too. 

WHY I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT 

So, as those of you who wear make-up know, it can be an absolute pain to take it off at night. Waterproof make-up can be almost impossible to remove (even when using products specifically for removing it) and buying endless packs of cotton pads and micellar water is an added hindrance. But, these are all things the Face Halo solves.

I had this product as a Christmas present, and honestly I’m completely in love with it. With water alone, it removes every single scrap of make-up in just a couple of minutes. Just soak it under the tap, swipe it across your face and before you know it, you’re ready to apply your nighttime skincare routine. 

By doing this, I’m saving money on stocking up on any other make-up removers as it’s reusable (it should last about 200 washes in the washing machine) and reducing the amount of plastic and cotton I’m using. Plus, I can take it in the shower with me, wipe off all my make-up and grime from the day before moving onto classic existential shower thoughts 🤙

For those who don’t wear make-up, this is still a handy way to remove any sunscreen you’ve been wearing throughout the day. The fibers are soft enough to avoid causing any irritation to your skin, yet you still reap the benefits of the deep clean it provides.

I found Halo Top Birthday Cake Light Ice Cream Surprising. It's a lot sweeter than I expected. It didn't taste like ice cream to me. It tastes a lot like frosting with sprinkles on a cake that was left in the freezer. My grandchildren and niece would love this product. It's very sweet. You definitely can't tell this is a light product.
