I too am disappointed that we didn't get a big full-on pillow fight. 😔 but he DOES battle by throwing his pillow, so at least we get some cushion action in there!

it looks like this round of birthday cards aren't going to be interviews/conversations, at least not for most of it -- the first part was Jamil talking to Ortho (who he duos with) about what his dormmates are doing for his birthday (they're setting up a surprise party/parade (because Kalim) but they're doing an extremely bad job of it and he's having to go around making sure that they don't screw it up) (being Jamil is suffering). second part was Jamil talking to his (unvoiced mob) roommate and answering Crowley's School Improvement Survey (he wants bigger bathrooms) (also a fridge in his room) (actually, make that a whole kitchen) (but mostly bigger bathrooms). then third part was his ~morning routine~, aka talking to himself about his hair and makeup, as one does in a visual novel. it's less cohesive than the previous birthday stories, but it's all pretty chill and there's some fun stuff in there! (Najma sent him hair stuff for his birthday that's way too fancy and he can't decide if she did it to annoy him or not. truly, being Jamil is indeed suffering.)

if all the cards are going to be about nightly/morning routine though, we're going to absolutely melt when we get to Vil, brace yourselves

why idia is being ignore in the event?

aw, I wouldn't say he's really being ignored! he does get some longer scenes in part 3 (I know you sent this before that came out and I'm just catching up now, sorry! :'), including an excellent bit where he's like "yeah I only eat snacks and cup noodles, why" and Trey's grandma instinct immediately kicks on so he can try to convince Idia to eat some protein. just once. please. don't you know how BAD all that sugar is for your TEETH --

Halloween events in particular are a bit of a balancing act, because they deal with way more characters than usual, and the main focus is supposed to be on the SSR guys. I find that they do usually try to give everyone some spotlight at different points though! so I expect Idia will get more scenes later on too, especially once the shit really hits the fan. >:D

(if you're looking for good Idia events, he has SSRs in Ghost Marriage and Glorious Masquerade, and he gets to do a lot in Kelkkarotu and Wish! he is one of the ones who doesn't tend to get a lot of event cards, alas. :( I guess it can be hard to justify him actually leaving his room ever, but it's always super fun when he's in events and is forced to have (1) single social interaction with another human being.)

what's your favorite/go to parfume/cologne/body spray and what's your favorite bubblegum flavor

I'm told I smell like peppermint and beeswax, which is probably just the salve I use on my joints. They could also just be saying that to be polite, I'm not really sure. I don't typically seek out social occasions or take visitors, so smelling nice isn't very high on my list of priorities.

Motor oil would be my go-to when working in the lab.

When I do need to have some sense of composure, either for myself or others, I like a good citrus smell. It helps me feel clean and keep my thoughts centered. But I'm afraid the products I use aren't going to be the luxury brands you're thinking about..

This may be a controversial opinion, but I like the old-fashioned bubblegum. Just your classic bubblegum flavor (which is apparently pineapple, banana, cinnamon, and wintergreen?). The kind that tastes like the best gum in the world for five seconds before turning to a waxy plastic lump in your mouth. There's something so nostalgic about the faded colors on the wax paper wrapper. I used to save up all the loose change I could get my hands on to buy this one specific brand that had small comics folded up inside the package. I haven't seen it since I was maybe twelve years old? I've looked everywhere in Piltover, but I think I need to just accept that it's been discontinued.
