I went to my ethnic day in a retro bollywood-esque polka dot saree (black and white) with a 60s hairstyle with a maroon rose (yes, the big one) and pearl jewelry. make-up? defined eyes, dark lipstick and deep but very natural looking blush + my nails done in dried blood maroon. not to forget my lifesaver 7 inch heels (silver coloured)

wah tired (but for good reasons)

had class at tutoring centre today and went out w my parents afterwards! it's nearing puja season so my mom had to buy a bunch of sarees as gifts for family members + my grandma told her to get one for herself and i helped her choose a dual tone saree (red under, blue above, it seems to change colours as the fabric moves)

A Makeover for Payal?

So I felt a little guilty for being judgemental towards Payal, in the prior post and I thought it would be so fun to share how I would style Payal :)

Okay, just a disclaimer I know these Sarees are very modern and it’s not concise with the style in 2010s however let’s pretend the show was set in 2022! (I’m not a fan of the fashion back then!) 🙈

I feel Payal is a very elegant character, simple yet feminine so I can imagine her favouring florals. I also like pastel colours on her (before marriage her main colour palette was pastels…so I’m sticking to that!).

I chose these sarees for Payal’s after marriage look, I feel they look very distinct and different to Anjali’s sarees.

Now makeup and hair!

I feel for the most part Deepali’s makeup looked amazing, and would pair well with these sarees, her hair however …is another story. I felt it was too boring, too everywhere. I actually found some beautiful pics of Deepali that look recent and she’s got a lob hairstyle!! She looks amazing and resembles Deepika Padukone 🥰🥰

I know she’s much older now but she still looks so radiant and beautiful, the short hair looks so cute on her!!! Imagine if Payal had been really frustrated, her emotions being invalidated by Akash’s ignorance and she literally decided to get a drastic haircut like this and it being really empowering! (Headcanon lol!).

I don’t know if my choices were off but as always would love to hear your opinions too 🥰 … if I had my way Khushi would certainly get a post marriage makeover, in fact just a while ago @jalebi-weds-bluetooth and I discussed Khushi’s wardrobe at length and we both agreed that Sanaya was better dressed in Rangrasiya !!! …this was such a fun post I would love to do a 2022 look book for Khushi too 🙈 (i don’t think Anjali needs a makeover but it would be a fun challenge!).
