Auugggh it’s been so long since I’ve posted ANYTHING on ANY platform but I’ve had some art made recently so here it is. Can you believe the last two are from the same sketchbook?? Anyways I just want to say to anyone who may need to hear this, it’s okay to be anxious and it’s okay to be overwhelmed sometimes. Sometimes your friends and families can be too much, so take a break. Remember you’re allowed to be upset.

Anybody else get into a new thing and have the urge to make OCs and then while you’re in the process of making OCs your brain tells you “You’re doing it wrong” and you second guess all your years of experience in making OCs because you’ve never been in this fandom before and what if you are doing it wrong?

Anyways, despite my brain being a mean little liar, I’ve made like four Haikyu OCs and they’re all first years during Ennoshita’s residency as Captain. They have stolen my heart even though three of them I only made after realizing there couldn’t be just one first year joining the volleyball club.

One of them suffers an injury that takes him out of the game in third year because my brain recognized the potential for angst (he doesn’t get to play his first or second year other than as a substitute)

Two of them bicker like brothers 70% of the time. One is the eldest of six kids and has dyed his hair maroon. The other almost always has a lollipop in his mouth and wears hand-me-down Nekoma merch.

And the reason for making the other three is an awkward 5’4” kid who’s not very confident in his volleyball abilities and who likes making origami cranes in his spare time.

Someday I’ll hopefully draw them so you all can see them but for right now they’re just in my head. I’d be happy to answer questions about them though! :)

(Also my TMNT friends, this is not me leaving the fandom. :] Haikyu is just running the show in my brain right now so I kinda have to go along. There’s still TMNT projects in the works in the background though!)

"Training camps are AWESOME! Since there is no school in Miyagi which could really challenge Shiratorizawa, we often visit other schools in a different prefecture. Our coach has a great network and he is using it very well. Even when this is my last year with the boys I cherish every moment we spend together in - or outside of school and club. If her tennis shoes hadn’t gotten wet, then maybe her bag wouldn’t have been ripped.

If she had listened to her gut feeling and gone back for them when she realized they were forgotten at Tooru’s house, if she didn’t ask him to bring them to school in the morning, if she checked the weather, if she texted Hajime instead, if she did anything…then her shoes wouldn’t have been left behind in the storm the next day.

And afterwards, maybe she would have actually stayed home.

If she hadn’t felt something snap deep within her, if she hadn’t felt such a heaviness against her lungs, if she didn’t feel so horribly alone back then, then maybe she wouldn’t have been in such a rush to leave. She wouldn’t have given into the impulse of buying her train tickets, nor would the awkward conversations with her parents have happened later on. She wouldn’t have packed as hastily as she did, and would notice the way the strap of her backpack was still caught on the foot of her bed. If she did, then she wouldn’t have pulled as desperately on her bag, trying to get away.

So in the end, if her shoes hadn’t gotten wet, then none of this would have happened.

But then, this would be a completely different story.

Made her back in 2020 but never really drew her. Changes from back then was the hair. She used to have a black one.
