When Paimon finds out that you're in a relationship with Satan, he squeels. He's not one to rub salt on the wounds of others (not often at least), but he would make a few posts goating about being right all along. Starts making plans for the wedding since that's the only reasonable step forward. Whenever you're not with Satan, you're with Paimon on a self-care/gossip day. He's very happy that his wingman act wasn't in vaine.

Eligos throws a party and he invites the entirety of Hell over. He has no decency, he would spam all the shipping forums with photos of you and Mammon. Don't bother reporting it for spam, he has 500 alt accounts. He personally sews you and Mammon's clothes for the party. The costumes look like that of people getting married, but Eligos doesn't see what the problem is. He gets into a fist fight with everyone that disaggred with him on the forums. Bimet is in the back betting on who wins the fist fight.

Foras' squeel is so high pichted that Hades will get noise complaints from Naberius about it. He is very happy to say the least. He will turn invisible and spy on you and Leviathan being cute together like a proud father. The relationship between you and his king is like his personal child, and he can't wait to watch it grow further. Finally mod Jjok has a free day without any complaints of doxxing.

When Amon gets the news, he's not even surprised. He always was under the impression that you and Beelzebub were dating (that's why he didn't persue you himself) so this is old news to him. Would invite himself to all your dates with Beelzebub so he can protect the two of you... as in get free food and be near his king. He'll be a lot more energetic after the fact, so much so that he might make a few visits to the people that still ship you with anyone else. After all, they are going against Avisos' one law, they must be punished in some way.

Gamigin gets so excited that he starts screaming and crying. Might even puke from excitement. He is the happiest out of all of the shippers. Finally, his brother Lucifer found someone that loves him as much as he loves them. This is the happiest day of his life and he can't stop crying while hugging the two of you. Would start calling you sibling MC and invite you to all the communal dinners in Paradise Lost. Would insist you call him and everyone in the country brother or sister. You're now part of the Paradise Lost familly and you'll be treated as such.

I really don’t like how one demential Stella is from helluva boss. She has the potential to be a really interesting complex character but is watered down to be a mean wife with zero development

I also don’t like how the show and the fans justify stolas’s cheating.

It’s terrible that he was forced to take part in an arranged marriage and that even though he made an effort to at least have a platonic or cordial relationship with Stella—

That she rebuffed his efforts and was a total asshole to him.

But no one deserves to be cheated on. I really hate how with a lot of media these days….characters both in canon and fandoms are written as black and white and aren’t given proper layers. And I think fandoms have ruined that. Like, you can still like a terrible character while acknowledging that they’re a terrible person without making shitty excuses for them

You can hate/ dislike a bad character without justifying all the terrible things that happened to them. I think the problem is ppl will give their faves or protagonist the benefit of the doubt or give them grace but characters we’re supposed to hate, that are written as bad, don’t deserve grace and patience and understanding

For some characters that’s true….some characters don’t deserve sympathy some characters don’t deserve redemption

But there’s a proper way to write it and I feel like creators and fans are missing that

It does a bad job of writing complex characters and holding the “bad” ones to a higher standard. So much so it backfires.

Minthe is one of the characters that was done SO dirty and was only put there to be an obstacle for hxp same as Demeter.

Minthe cheating on hades? Bad! Persephone persuing hades even after discovering he was already in an official relationship? That’s okay!

Because she’s our main protagonist! She’s nice! And not mean like that b*tch minthe!

Zeus cheating on Hera multiple times, with different women for decades? Bad! Zeus is a womanizing jerk who ditched his kids and mistreats his wife!

Hera cheats on Zeus by having an on again off again affair for freaking decades!?! That’s okay! Bc we love Hera! She supports hxp! She’s trying to set them up! She feels bad for poor poor hades! She’s constantly mistreated by her husband so that’s okay

Stolas was mistreated by Stella who was and is a terrible spouse but that doesn’t justify his cheating. I do feel bad for him sometimes. It sucks that the physical relationship he had for blitzo turned emotional and that he started having romantic feelings for him,only to get rejected time and time again. Stolas isn’t an entirely bad character we see multiple sides of him, he loves his daughter, he cares about blitzo he tried to do right by Stella. But even good characters can still do bad things.

And I don’t wanna hear “well they’re In hell lol 🤪” especially since we’ve seen multiple how monogamy and marriage are treated in this show. If the show is addressing how important it is..then it matters. If it didn’t it wouldn’t…..

It would’ve been nice to see that development and care be put into Stella instead of the classic hateful wife/spouse….

SUBNAUTICA 2 TRAILER CLYDE

I KNOW I SAW!!!!!!!!! Just casually browsing my feed when that lovely alert popped up~

In all seriousness, that teaser makes me really hopeful/hyped for Sub2. I never joined the hate bandwagon for Below Zero, but I found it to just be a solid game, not one that re-captured the magic of the original. This though? This feels like og Subnautica. Even with the arrival of a friend (which might just be a nod to the promised co-op?), the whole teaser has that isolated, alienated feel to it. The world is gorgeous, but every beautiful thing posses a hidden danger. You are just a spec in the deep, dark, terrifying hole that is a foreign ocean. You're alone. The only voice for miles around is the semi-cold AI system trying to keep you alive. You're vulnerable.

There are just so many details here for a minute of info. The loud sound of your breathing. The blinking red alert light. The increasingly frantic beeping. The soft edges as your groggy brain remembers the pretty, safe surface. The fact that the crab-thing appears harmless but can still kill you with its presence alone. The "Oh shit if all the fish are swimming away there's something COMING" callback. The relief of seeing a friend show up before they're snatched by a GIANT BIO-LUMINESCENT CREATURE THAT'S JUST PERSUING ITS NATURAL INSTINCTS BUT ALSO IT'S NATURAL INSTINCTS ARE TERRIFYING." Perfect for spooky season.

(Although I'm ngl, my first thought was that Purple Dude might secretly be a friend like the Emperor Leviathan. It would fit the other parallels of that ending :D)

So yeah I'm PUMPED. Haven't been this excited for a sequel since Hades II, which admittedly hadn't been that long since EA released but STILL. I do have to decide though if I'm going to experience Sub2's EA. A part of me really wants to because a) I missed the initial EA experience and b) I'm impatient, but on the other hand the Subnautica series doesn't lend itself to incomplete play like a rogue-like does and I suspect it will be a lot more bug ridden than Hades II was when it came out... but we'll see. I'll probably join EA if only to avoid spoilers lol

Oh, I was curious about your opinions on Hecate. She falls neutral to mixed bag for me. I consider her an extention of systematic underworld issuessuch as BS legal code, not continuing her tirade against Hades for persuing a young Perse, and mistreatment of underworld citizens, but depending on how Rachel is writingher she actually gets to have a head on her shoulders. Lots going on there. Curious what you think or what you have heard.

For me personally, I thought she was pretty neat at the start. I especially liked the fact that she didn’t support H & P because of the age gap. But it all goes downhill once she helps Hades rip out Alex’ eye. Then she gradually becomes another H & P supporter and I just don’t care about her. I did like her at one point but I’m very ambivalent now.

She’s where she’s at on the chart because that complete 180° regarding Persephone and Hades is disgusting to me. The age gap is one of the things in LO that gets me HEATED. So to have a character flip flop so fast is just awful.

And as of lately, she just hasn’t done anything that interesting or memorable. All I remember of her from the past whatever episodes is that one panel that could’ve been cool but she had a derp face so it wasn’t. I know she’s been in a lot of episodes lately but I just don’t remember anything of significance.

I’m ambivalent with a pinch of pissed off regarding Hecate.

Deep In The Mariana Trench

Peresus laid there.. in his new home. In Exile... after doing what he could to dispel the mutant Titans that had emerged all because of him. He was the cause of something like this..... Why did he let his anger get the best of him? Now the world that he is in.. is about to be driven to extinction... and he only has himself to blame.

But at the same time....

He needs to really drink deep of his sorrow and feel every last bit of what he had done. But their was a burning feeling in his chest as he thinks about the Rise and Fall of Titans past... all leading to him..

In which he would close his eyes... but in his minds eye... he witnessed a possible vision...

Hades on the floor defeated... Aelius impaled on a building And Exaltias wings burnt...

In the middle of it all was something that looked like Perseus... but was not him at all...

A FALSE PERSEUS

Immediately his eyes would snap open with a growl.... He was not going to allow this to happen. In which he would begin to escape the trench swimming back up as a rescue ship would be around the whirlpool but not too close to it to see the Titan Emerge as humans alike held their families onboard and crew members watched.

But from the look in his eyes... there was no anger, but determination All to find and END this False Perseus.

Like looking at some other dating games there's like a big coherent vibe/genre to it.

One dating game (that no longer exists) was centered around like fantasy underground stuff (like hell or hades) (Idk what to call it sorry, like also werewolves and zombies and undead.) But each love interest was a different archetype you could persue. I persued this shy nerd scientist zombie man in the game lmao

Anyway, but i suppose that's what has arcana so disorganized for me. Each love interest doesnt seem to with the whole picture? Interesting

MEDUSA

Medusa was one of the three Gorgons, daughters of Phorcys and Ceto, sisters of the Graeae, Echidna, and Ladon – all dreadful and fearsome beasts. A beautiful mortal, Medusa was the exception in the family, until she incurred the wrath of Athena, either due to her boastfulness or because of an ill-fated love affair with Poseidon. Transformed into a vicious monster with snakes for hair, she was killed by Perseus, who afterward used her still potent head as a weapon, before gifting it to Athena.

Family · Portrayal

Medusa – whose name probably comelos from the Ancient Greek word for “guardian” – was one of the three Gorgons, daughters of the sea gods Phorcys and Ceto, and sisters of the Graeae, Echidna, and Ladon. All of Medusa’s siblings were monsters by birth and, even though she was not, she had the misfortune of being turned into the most hideous of them all.

From then on, similarly to Euryale and Stheno, her older Gorgon sisters, Medusa was depicted with bronze hands and wings of gold. Poets claimed that she had a great boar-like tusk and tongue lolling between her fanged teeth. Writhing snakes were entwining her head in place of hair. Her face was so hideous and her gaze so piercing that the mere sight of her was sufficient to turn a man to stone.

Poseiddon and Perseus

It wasn’t always like that. Medusa – the only mortal among the Gorgon sisters – was also distinguished from them by the fact that she alone was born with a beautiful face. Ovid especially praises the glory of her hair, “most wonderful of all her charms.” The great sea god Poseidon seems to have shared this admiration, for once he couldn’t resist the temptation and impregnated Medusa in a temple of Athena. Enraged, the virgin goddess transformed Medusa’s enchanting hair into a coil of serpents, turning the youngest Gorgon into the monster we described above.

Soon after this, trying to get rid of Perseus, Polydectes, the king of Seriphos, sent the great hero on a quest which he believed must be his final one. “Fetch me the head of Medusa,” commanded Polydectes. With the help of Athena and Hermes, and after compelling the Graeae for Medusa’s whereabouts, Perseus finally reached the fabled land of the Gorgons, located either in the far west, beyond the outer Ocean, or in the midst of it, on the rocky island of Sarpedon. Medusa was asleep and Perseus, using the reflection in Athena’s bronze shield as a guide (so as to not look directly at the Gorgons and be turned into stone), managed to cut off her head with his sickle.

The Posthumous Fate of Medusa

Strangely enough, Medusa’s story doesn’t end with her death. In fact, one can argue that the most peculiar fragments of her biography are all posthumous.

Medusa’s Children · The Lament of the Gorgons

For Medusa was pregnant at the time of her death, and when Perseus severed her head, her two unborn children, Chrysaor and Pegasus, suddenly sprang from her neck. The Gorgons were awoken by the noise and did their best to avenge the death of her sister, but they could neither see nor catch Perseus, for he was wearing Hades’ Cap of Invisibility and Hermes’ winged sandals. So, they went back to their secluded abode to mourn Medusa. Pindar, a great Ancient Greek poet, says that upon hearing their gloomy lament, Athena was so touched that she modeled after it the mournful music of the double pipe, the aulos.

The Miraculous Head of Medusa

Now that Perseus had Medusa’s head in his bag, he went back to Seriphos. However, while flying over Libya, drops of Medusa’s blood fell to the ground and instantly turned into snakes; it is because of this that, to this day, Libya abounds with serpents. When Perseus arrived in Seriphos, he used Medusa’s head to turn Polydectes and the vicious islanders into stones; the island was well-known long after for its numerous rocks.

After this, Perseus gave Medusa’s head to his benefactor Athena, as a votive gift. The goddess set it on Zeus’ aegis (which she also carried) as the Gorgoneion. She also collected some of the remaining blood and gave most of it to Asclepius, who used the blood from Medusa’s left side to take people’s lives and the blood from her right side to raise people from the dead. The rest of Medusa’s blood – a vial containing two drops – Athena gave to her adopted son, Erichthonius; Euripides says that one of the drops was a cure-all, and the other one a deadly poison.

Always the protector of heroes, Athena put aside, in a bronze jar, a lock of Medusa’s hair for Heracles, who subsequently gave it to Cepheus’ daughter, Sterope, to use it to protect her hometown Tegea. Supposedly, even though it didn’t have the power of Medusa’s gaze, the lock could still cast terror into any enemy unfortunate enough to even accidentally behold it.

Lore Olympus 186 was the cutest thus far, and the ending got me thinking of what’s to come.

My first theory: Persephone and hades talking about children can foreshadow Persephone becoming pregnant with hades child soon (either milinoe, makaria or zagarous) which will not only make hades happy he can have kids and prove Persephone is a fertility goddess , it can get apollo and his son in trouble in Olympus with Zeus because ascipleus broke doctor patient confidentiality of telling his father hades personal business, and Apollo spread that information to Olympus to embarrass hades. But it can come back and bite them when Persephone announces a future pregnancy by hades and will make Olympus see them as liars.

And with Persephone explaining the flames of making a baby in a different way, it can hint of how she and hades can save fetal Dionysus when semelee meets her tragic end.

My next theory: when ares brings up how a war will start because of Persephone, Zeus was sweating. He suspects that Persephone is a fertility goddess and is doing this trial as a way to imprison her so no god can use her to overthrow him, but the trial has backfired on him immensely as Persephones act of wrath was seen as justified as the mortals broke the treaty with her mother and killed her nymphs while insulting her. Along with the fact that Demeter raised her as a mortal which shows she was never told much about Olympus’s laws and how Persephone wanted to make up for what happened. And hades calling out Zeus for not only being lenient with the other gods for similar acts, but also for Artemis and Apollo’s act of wrath on queen niobe by slaughtering her children for saying she was superior to leto.

My guess is that Apollo went to Zeus to “let the cat out of the bag” about him and Persephone and blackmailed him again to get him to comply to have him marry Persephone. But as we saw Hera and hades tell zeus that Persephone is afraid of him and that something between them, along with seeing Apollo’s obsession over her, zeus might be starting to connect the dots of not only Apollo’s intentions and confirmation that Persephone is indeed a fertility goddess, he might realize he violated Persephone to get her power.

Zeus maybe egotistical, but I’m sure he’d be disgusted by Apollo’s actions and realize he’s put Persephone in danger by persuing this trial. Now he’s in the middle of a tough choice that can have serious consequences for everyone involved.

Give Persephone to Apollo, who might have raped her, and risk himself being overthrown by him and see Persephone suffer the same fate as Métis and possibly his mother, and ensuing hades wrath of losing the woman he loves to her rapist.

Or give Persephone to hades and he’ll be more powerful than Zeus as hell have a fertility goddess for a wife. And have his secret exposed that he is the father of Apollo and Artemis and Hera leaves him for it.

Anti Lore Olympus Critques

Ok so I don't know if anyone else shares this opinion  but personally I absolutely loved Minthe. Of course we know that in the end Hades and Persephone are going to end up together because of the myth which fine but still I feel like keeping her around longer or giving her a better chance at character development would really help RS and her lack of a good storyline. I mean yes could Minthe be a bad partner at times? Yes, but then again Hades wasn't really the best either. He was actively persuing a teenage intern when he was still in a relationship.I also feel like Minthe tried to fix whatever problems they had going on in their complicated but Legal and morally right relationship but we all know Hades was too busy chasing Persephone. He also didn't make things any easier by constantly calling her out for being jealous. Like she has every right to be jealous you are basically cheating on her with a felon.But anyways these are just my thoughts. Sorry that it was kind of a rant but those are just my thoughts.

As for turning into a flower, I assume you're referring to Hyacinth, in which case that wasn't to avoid Apollo's advances! Hyacinth was a Spartan prince who was persued by multiple gods/men, and out of them, he chose Apollo. When Hyacinth died, a flower was created from his blood.

Where do we begin, sometimes I forget where I get the zeal for a fight comes. To come to think about it, War is not about what you loose or fighting for, everything any of us angels all have to lose is our dignity in combat and killing so many monsters on the way. So im doing a project with a friend that entails me outlining a handful of greek myths and im being a sarcastic asshole because 1. thats how i do work at 4am and 2. we both know the myths so this is really redundant but i need some form of an outline in order to move on. So heres a break down of some of the big myths:

Titanomachy:  Chronus got hungry. Like 6 times. One of them was a rock. Through some bullshit of Chronus is a fucking idiot and possibly drugs he thought the rock was a baby and decided not to persue that matter any more. Decade-somethin later weird dude who strangely looks like chronus shows up and offers him wine and then big C vomits up 5 fully grown children who have never seen sunlight before and then they murder him over 10 years. Some giants in there, 3 asshole draw lots because its a better alternative than strange women lying in ponds.

Prometheus:  Born in cave. Cave dark. Night very scary. Sun not scary. Sun burn. Gods have thing that burn like little sun. Man steal little sun. God angery at man. Man gets his liver picked out on a daily basis for like ever.

Heracles: Its heracles. Hercules for the disney fan. Watch the movie and then pretend Hera is really a raving bitch who wants him dead and Hades is a p chill dude who just wants his dog to go on a walk once in a while. Also zeus got horny. And Herc murdered Meg. And he literally shoveled shit out of a horse pen for a straight 12 hours. And… yah its very different.

Gigantomachy: Backstory: Gaia got pissed at her husband/son so she had her grandkids kill him. Then Gaia got pissed at her grandkids, so she had her great grandkids kill him. Now Gaia is pissed at her great grandkids so she made a whole bunch of new children to kill them. Also cave man here? and Heracles? Like everyone here is an asshole but one of the assholes wants to eat the world so she can sleep so like....same?

Trojan War: Probably best known of the myths? Homer is a jackass like that. Basically Zeus got horny, hera got depressed, a dude named after the capital of france got horny, Eris showed up and did what she does best which is the ancient gods equivalent of politics at thanksgiving. Then all the depressed lady gods go fight over a shiny fruit that they literally can grow a bunch of in their gardens because this fruit aint special to them in any way shape or form other than Eris said pretty. Then the goddess of horny went to french-horny and let him start a war. Also Zeus might have orchestrated this entire thing because the world was so full of people that he couldnt get away with cheating on his wife and that had to stop? Priorities, i guess.

Odyssey:  So man pisses off poseidon because he was cocky. And then takes 20 years to get home when 1. The medeterrainian is very swimable as per modern day man (and Odysseus was fit AF), 2. He had the side of not one but TWO of the most powerful goddesses in olympus. He slept with the pig lady, one dude died for no reason other than comedy purposes, there was a giant who cant see nobody, p sure this is lowkey an ancient greek comedy.
