Did some HV!Dream and Nightmare, Dream is actualy like really chill and cares about NM a lot. He tries his hardest to choose a way out of things that doesn't involve killing.

It's just a man failing to reappear, that's all - now you see him, now you don't that's the only thing that's real: here one minute and gone the next and never coming back - an exit, unobtrusive and unannounced, a disappearance gathering weight as it goes on, until, finally, it is heavy with death.

When you first saw him, you thought he had looked like a loser, a person who you would have definitely bullied if you had ever met him on the playground when you were seven. No matter how large a body, how long a shadow, his shoulders looked shove-able, his hands, probably littered with scars from battles he’s won, they looked easy to pry open to snatch flowers and belongings from.

You had watched from the sidelines, observing quietly and carefully, of his journey to adulthood. He was a face amongst the peers you never cared to remember the names of. He was a kid in a neighbouring class who was not given the spotlight, not in the Sports festival, not on Culture Day.

Keeping your head down was the primary focus. Connections were established, made, and nourished with the bare minimum attention that they needed, you kept your head down and studied, because the tech world is not as forgiving as the Heroes’.

For a man with as large a body and as long a shadow, his shoulders curl as tentatively as he smiled, on television and before your eyes, but throughout the years, no matter how conscious and how timid he had grinned, his teeth were fierce and his dimples proud. At first, you assumed that the awkward unoffending scratch at his nape was to play safe in conversation, nothing unabashed because it’s his way of keeping his head down, keeping his connections alive with as little effort as possible. Yet, his shrugs and his chuckles fill up the lapses of silence too genuinely, you laugh.

The only bright spot in MAESTRO is Carrey Mulligan. Cooper's LB is all surface, no substance. Matt Bomer does more in his 5 minutes of screentime than Cooper does in the whole movie.

The movie covers smth like 50 years of Leonard Bernstein's life and even though it namechecks a lot of his achievements, i didnt get a sense of the person at all. Its more infodump than entertainment. There's some lovely camerawork in the b/w part of the movie (first 30 minutes?) but that's about it. Kinda sad that Bradley Cooper cdnt deliver another beautiful musical film like A STAR IS BORN. His instincts were so much better there. This felt like a mess. A powerpoint presentation of a movie.

just realised that "fall into the abyss with me" is exactly what happens in the hestio/reed fic.

ailette refuses because she has hope that she can save both the world and tesilid.

hestio ((& ephael)) do not. reed does not. they have the evidence of a hundred timelines where they were together and yet things did not work out. tesilid is left with only this option. round 100 hestio has to choose between accompanying tesilid in the last leg of his life and... the absolute dogshit, may-as-well-not-exist option of dooming tesilid to a fate worse than death. he doesn't really have a choice at all.
