Hey so I went totally overboard hope that's alright. I ended up making this way too long and I have a book report to do so I'll make this the 3rd part and the next one will be the last part cuz I don't wanna dwell on this too long. Hope that's good.

Kindness Isn't Spineless

“Luffy wait!” You call out to the rubber man as he drags you by the hand happily off of the ship, excited to see a new island. It’s tuckering you out, especially when you’re drowsy from the heat. You try to stop him by standing still, but his arm just stretches as he runs ahead of you. It’s only when it drags you back to him that he realizes what happened, managing to catch you before you slammed into him.

“Woah! Hey you’re being so slow!” He says, putting you down onto your feet.

“I’m trying to be energetic but the nap I took outside ended up just making me sleepier.” You respond, sighing.

“Want me to carry you?” He grins and holds his arms out. You consider that option before shaking your head.

“No, I need to walk around to get rid of the drowsiness anyway.” After declining Luffy nods and almost immediately runs off again, stopping when you squeeze his hand. “Luffy…” You say, your voice stern, and he pouts.

“Sorry…” He doesn’t like being scolded, but listens. It’s not so bad walking like this either, holding hands as he swings them happily. He saved up some allowance so he’s excited to see the kind of food they have here, his eyes shining at the thought. It makes him want to run again but he settles when he sees you looking around.

“It’s pretty here. I know maybe not that different from other islands we’ve been to but they have decorations up. Is there a festival?” You pull Luffy to one of the stalls, buying him an apple to munch on while you ask the stall owner a few questions. As it turns out, there is indeed a festival. It’s why there were other big ships at the dock, people are visiting from other islands to celebrate. “Luffy did you hear that?” You turn to your boyfriend, who nods his head with his cheeks full of apple. He chews a few times before swallowing and licking juice from his lips.

“Festival, right? That’s why they have all the stuff up?” Wow he was actually listening. You give him a kiss on the cheek, earning a “Shi shi shi.” of a happy Luffy. The stall owner mentions that there'll be fireworks too, and even games to play.

“A lot of stall owners are going to be selling food too, which is my personal favorite.” The owner says and Luffy’s eyes light up, looking at you in excitement.

“We’re staying for the festival, Luffy. I doubt the others would want to miss it either. From what the owner said there’s some historic significance to it, we should tell Robin that when we see her.” Luffy seems uninterested until you add “She’ll be happy.” and then he seems more interested.

“Let’s go find her!” He yells, quickly grabbing another apple before he drags you away. He backtracks for a quick second to pay and then you both are actually off, Luffy picking you up and running around looking for your crewmates to give the news. You find Zoro and Nami, Nami seems interested.

“Ooo a festival, yeah we’ll stay.” The prospect of wearing cute clothes and walking around in pretty scenery is appealing to her, especially when she thinks of all the rich bastards that’ll probably come. “Huhuhu.. I’m not giving you more allowance for the festival though, spend it wisely. Unless you want to take out a loan, of course~” She says with a sly smile.

“Crazy woman.” Zoro mumbles and she tugs his ear. “Ow!” They bicker a bit but Zoro also agrees. The festival itself is okay, but the real thing that interests him is the festive alcohol.

“I’m a crazy woman for wanting money but focusing on only alcohol in a beautiful festival is sane?” Nami asks with a scoff and Zoro scowls.

“Okay let's find the others!” Luffy says quickly, picking you back up and running off after waving bye to Nami and Zoro. You find Chopper and Usopp next.

“Festival? Yeah I heard about it, my great great great grandfather actually held the first festival of this island. I even have an ancient relic of the past-” Usopp starts and you cover his mouth before he starts rambling, you’ll take that as a yes.

“What about you Chopper?” You ask the small reindeer and he nods.

“Sounds super fun!” He says excitedly, hopping a little. “They’ll have cotton candy too, right?” You nod and he hops more. “Then let’s stay! I’ll go buy all the things I need before they close up shop for the festival!” With that, the little reindeer runs off with Usopp.

You find Brook and Jinbe next, people glancing at the sight of a huge fishman and a skeleton just sitting drinking tea. “Yohoho, a festival? I agree, what about you Jinbe-san?” Brook turns to Jinbe.

“I agree as well, festivals are always a nice thing to celebrate; especially with friends.” He says with a smile.

“Very wise, Jinbe-san.” Brook says, taking a sip of his tea. “Thinking of spending time with friends at a festival... it brings a tear to my eye, not that I have one! Yohohoho!” Him and Jinbe laugh at his joke, you two leaving after saying bye.

“We already got majority vote, can we go eat now?” Luffy asks as you two actually walk around normally this time.

“True, but this is fun, isn’t it? Telling news to the crew. Plus, didn’t you hear what Nami said? We gotta spend our money wisely. Saving it for the festival food sounds way better.” You tell Luffy and he pouts a little, then grins.

“Okay! And yeah, this is fun!” He says, quickly hugging you. You hug him back, then go back on your festival informant mission. Franky stayed on the Sunny, he didn’t need to buy anything and instead took the chance to look over the Sunny while protecting it. There are a lot of other ships around after all, there’s no telling if one of them is hostile and tries something. “FRANKKYYYY!!!” Luffy yells from the dock up to the ship. A few moments and the cyborg replies.

“Yeah!?” He yells back and Luffy wraps one arm around you, stretching the other to grab onto the Sunny. It launches you both up and onto the ship, in front of Franky.

“There’s gonna be a festival! Fireworks and meat!” Luffy says, excited, and Franky grins.

“Festival? So that’s why there’s so many ships around.” The cyborg notes. “You both want to stay for that, right? Sounds Super!”

“You’re not gonna celebrate?” You ask with a frown and he shakes his head.

“Someone has to look after the Sunny, marines and other pirates might try something.” He explains and both you and Luffy frown. “Cheer up! I’ll be able to see the fireworks from here!” He says, but you and Luffy still seem a little bummed. Franky is mature despite his personality, he has a point. You don’t want him to be alone though, besides the Sunny. Luffy kisses you on the cheek.

“Well, it’s his choice. C’mon we still have Sanji and Robin!” The captain says, spreading his happy energy to you. It makes you feel better; plus, you doubt with some of the crews’ personalities that he’ll be alone for long. You two hop off of the ship and spot Sanji holding groceries, he must be bringing them back to stock the ship.

“Oh, Sanji!” You call out but Luffy beats you to it, grabbing onto Sanji’s shoulders and launching to him.

“Sanji!!” He yells and the cook jolts.

“Luffy you idiot I’m holding things!” He says, but it’s too late and Luffy slams into him. Thankfully, experience and leg strength helps him stay upright. Luffy pulls back enough to look at him.

“Sanji, there’s gonna be a festival!” The captain announces and Sanji’s eyes widen.

“A festival?” He asks and the words echo in his head. ‘Festival… festival..’ His thoughts go to the women crowding the streets in festive clothing, giggling and having fun. Nami and Robin in their prettiest clothes, eating food and playing games. Sanji playing the games for them, winning prizes and offering it to them like the goddesses they are. He can already hear their voices thanking him, praising him, bestowing their beautiful presence upon him.

“Sanji! Sanji! Hello??” You pat his cheek and he snaps out of it.

“Yes I’ll stay for the ladi- the festival.” He quickly answers, blood trickling from his nose to Luffy’s laughter. The rubber man lets go of Sanji, landing on the ground and turning to you.

“We just need Robin now!” He says, having fun on this mission you’ve made.

“Robin-chan should be near the outskirts of the island, saying there were ruins here she’s interested in." Sanji's face darkens. "I wanted to go with her, but I needed to buy groceries.” He seems genuinely bummed. “I can’t keep a lady waiting for me.”

“Cool! Let’s go!” Luffy's too used to Sanji’s woes to take them seriously. You give the cook a pat on the back before you two leave. When you’re at the outskirts of the island you realize you don’t know which part of the island she went to.

“Maybe we should’ve asked around if anyone knows where the ruins are.” You mumble to yourself, bearing the curse of hindsight.

“We just gotta look around, right? Robin always shows up!” Luffy says, swinging your held hands.

“True, Robin tends to appea- AAHH!” You jump with a yelp when you feel a hand on your shoulder, turning around quickly to see a chuckling Robin.

“Sorry, couldn’t resist.” She says with a smile as you put a hand to your chest, your heart thumping. Luffy seems unaffected, just excited to complete the mission.

“Robin! They’re having a festival! There’s gonna be meat and history too but meat and fireworks and meat!” Luffy rambles and Robin nods.

“I heard, I was going to tell you all when we met up but it looks like you two beat me to it.” She says.

“Great! Everyone knows now so we can go eat!” Your captain exclaims, forgetting about your earlier statement of saving for the festival.

“Luffy…” You sigh and Robin chuckles again, able to make out the context.

“Well, eating a bit beforehand shouldn’t hurt, right?” She suggests and Luffy quickly nods.

“Don’t instigate him!” You stare at her, betrayed. She gently shakes her head.

“They’ll most likely make the festival food more expensive, it’s better for him to not hold his hunger." The archeologist points out. “Luffy won’t fill up, but it should help.” She has a point.

“True…” There’s also valid concern that he might eat everything before the festival, but there could be some shops that are selling non-festive food that won't sell during the festival. You might even be able to get some for cheap depending on what it is. “Thanks Robin.”

“Have fun~” She says before you two walk off. You and Luffy go to multiple places that sell food, buying anything that won’t sell during the festivities. It helps Luffy a bit, and he pats his stomach with a content sigh.

“You aren’t gonna eat more?” He asks you and you shake your head.

“I ate enough, I’ll save the rest for the stalls.” You say and he shrugs.

“Well, okay!” He kisses you, tastes like the ham sandwich he just ate.

Festival time! It’s bright and colorful, celebrating the moon’s creation apparently. It used to be a more elegant celebration, but time passed and people wanted to celebrate in the best way they knew how. Fun! Games and food stalls galore. You and the rest of the crew walk around, admiring everything. Luffy, thanks to Robin’s genius, gets to eat skewers with “moon sauce” whatever that is. It tastes good, you know that much. When you’re walking around you hear some whispers.

“Did you hear Mante is gonna be here?” Your heart drops as you hear the two people speaking.

“Mante? The hottie dancer?” The other person asks. “The one who works with that charity for the homeless?” Fuck, that’s definitely him.

“Yeah, apparently he’s dancing here for the festival. He’s using 70% of the profits he gets for his charity!”

“No way! Apparently dancing here is a ton of pressure! Giving most of the berri away, that’s crazy.”

“His good looks match his heart, I guess.” With that, the two people leave. Your heart pounds in your chest, this is bad, this is really bad. You knew he was getting popular but you didn’t know he would appear here.

“(Y/n)?” Luffy, munching on a moon themed pie, says your name. You’re out of it, only coming to when he presses his forehead to yours. You jolt.

“Luffy, you scared me.” You respond, getting startled for the second time today.

“You were spacing out all weird, what happened? Do you know this Mante guy?” He asks and you sigh.

“Y-Yeah, I used to know him…” Your voice is bitter and Luffy tilts his head in confusion.

“Does he suck at dancing or something?” The captain assumes from your reaction.

“No, no, he’s good. He wouldn’t be this popular if he actually sucked.” Your sigh only makes him more confused.

“What is it then?” He asks but you’re hesitant to answer, not wanting to ruin the fun by saying he’s your ex. Before he can push more, the sound of music starts. It calms you for a second before your eyes trail to a platform, on it are various dancers; and in the middle is the person of your nightmares. He’s handsome, maybe even more handsome than before in his beautiful dancer clothing. Luffy swallows the pie in his mouth, furrowing his brows as he follows your gaze to the dancer. He doesn’t know what’s going on but he knows you look scared. He quickly finishes the rest of the pie and grabs your hand. “Fireworks are way better anyway, let’s go somewhere else.”

“Where are you guys going?” Chopper, holding cotton candy, asks. He notices your pale complexion and gets worried. “Are you okay? Did you eat too much?” You shake your head and he frowns, holding up his cotton candy to you. “Want something sweet?” You shake your head again and he looks really worried.

“It’s okay Chopper, I’m just a little nervous. Maybe I just need to go somewhere quiet for a bit.” You tell the little reindeer and he nods, still staring at you. He pulls out some chewable tablets.

“Just in case it is your stomach, chew two of these and you should feel a little better.” The doctor says and you take the tablet, pocketing them.

“T-Thanks.” You mumble.

“What’s going on? Did you get constipated?” A voice behind you says, Zoro. He’s with Usopp and Nami, holding whatever they buy or win.

“Ohh is that it? Are you constipated?” Luffy turns to you and you shake your head again. The assumption is a little funny, but it isn’t really helping your nerves.

“Stop assuming gross stuff.” Nami says, annoyed. She walks over to you. “You’re just feeling anxious right? Robin is thinking about going back to the ship if you wanna go with her.” The offer is really tempting, the problem is that you also really don’t want to ruin things for Luffy. Of course, he can choose to have fun without you and leave you to Robin and Franky. He trusts them to keep you safe like this, but there’s also a chance he might be too worried to leave you alone. You can’t properly predict which one it’ll be with him, plus you do want to have fun with him around here. The thought of losing that because of him makes you angry.

“I’ll go somewhere with less people for a bit, then I'll come back for the fireworks.” You settle with and she nods.

“Well, okay.” Nami says, turning around to see Zoro trying to wander off. She quickly grabs him and pushes him to Usopp. “Make sure he doesn’t run off.” She tells him. Usopp doesn’t really want to, but Nami is scarier than Zoro. “I’ll see you, then. Don’t hesitate to go back to the ship if you need to.” She says and Chopper nods.

“I won’t.” You respond and Luffy looks at you, tightening his hold on your hand.

“I’m coming with you.” He says and you look at him.

“You don’t have to, I’ll be ba-”

“Nuh uh, I wanna go with you. I wanna rest too.” He doesn’t want to leave you alone, walking around without you wouldn’t be as fun anyway. You sigh in relief.

“Mkay, let’s go then.” To be honest you don’t wanna be completely alone either. You’re scared being alone might just make the thoughts come back. With that, you both leave after saying seeya to Nami, Zoro, Usopp, and Chopper. 'I just want to have fun without thinking of him.'

Loving someone who doesn’t love you back , until you can’t no more. Maybe then they’ll actually know what they’ve lost.

What is the age when we started to care less about our date of birth? When our birthday starts to feel mundane , just another day in this life on earth . To begin with, I never did make a fuss about my birthdays. The greetings of my most loved people were enough for my happiness. I never have wanted celebrations , parties, or gifts.

That was until they threw me the most meaningful birthday, I could ever hope for. There stood Max , Lando, and Daniel with the biggest of grins holding what seems to be an attempt of a birthday cake as they sang to me happy birthday — and then came their present. In the box , 4 smiling faces stared back at me, their facing were shining with unadulterated joy and peace — it reflected true happiness… it was a framed picture of us , in the McDonald’s parking lot, the day when we all first met.

I never in my life would have guessed that the three strangers who met me at my worst would still be around and care enough to celebrate my life. I could never be grateful enough for the light that these three people had shone upon me and guided me to the end of the dark tunnel.

Oh how time quickly goes by , because another year is added to my life . It’s my birthday and now I’ve learned to celebrate it with the people who love me back.

The past year might have been rough, but now I’ve never been happier— and it’s all thanks to the people who held me dear in their hearts. Max Verstappen , The 2 time world driver’s championship winner , had just officially announced his relationship with multi-business owner and Sky Sports Formula 1 photographer Y/N L/N . Both have confirmed their relations on instagram with a sweet and personal post , a few hours after a fan had leaked their attendance to a mutual friend’s concert . And was later on spotted strolling a locally owned flea market in Manchester.

The Dutch Red Bull driver and the Korean born photographer had been already close friends prior to the relationship ; often times within the company of Formula 1 drivers— Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris. The coming together of the couple was a pleasant surprise to the realm of motorsports. As fans continue to anticipate the kind of dynamic these two would bring to the paddock, specially with relation to the 1st driver of the Italian racing team Ferrari — who was linked to L/N before.

Y/N L/N has already been a paddock favorite amongst motorsport fans not only for her close knit friendship with the drivers and some of the team principals , but also for her professionalism on track. Y/N had stated in an interview before that her love of the sport had led her to the opportunity to intern for the Italian racing team, Ferrari — and was later on officially scouted by Sky Sports as one of their Senior Design Directors for their photography and videography sectors .

Moreover, the boom in popularity of Formula 1 in social media has lead teams scrambling for purchase— and the knowledge of Y/N L/N’s ending contract with Sky Sports has been their life line; as several of the racing teams have reportedly been in negotiations with L/N.

Nevertheless, due to the high probability of Y/N’s shift from Sky Sports to exclusively work for Red Bull Racing, some argue that lack of professionalism and partiality will be at play . But, such claims are quickly shut down when Red Bull had released a statement that proves that a contract was already in process, way before the relationship of the dutch champion and the accredited photographer has been established.

Still, even with the flames and barbs of the media , Verstappen and L/N are cool as a cucumber — as the two were spotted celebrating the photographer’s birthday with friends and loved ones before the end of month long formula 1 summer break.

The next Grand Prix is fast approaching. I do not know about you, but I believe that things will be a little more exciting for Formula 1.

When he asks his mom and tells her everything, he discovers that what he feeling was love....

At first he would try to push those feelings away since he doesn't want you to get involved in things that are none of your business.

Yoko at first also just wanted to use you for...somethings but soon fell hard for you just like Shuichi did.

I feel like the time when Shuichi confessed to you, Yoko was itching to take over Shuichi and just kiss hug you lol

He definitely confesses first, with the flowers and beneath a tree.

Slowly, a gentle snowflake falls from the icy sky and renders a soft tint around your presence. As your gaze lifted to the wintry sky, you plunged headlong into the cloudy, white-kissed abyss, feeling the snowflakes tickling upon the tip of your nose.

Following your presence, Carlos draws closer, a rising tide of warmth starting to flood your senses. He met your gaze, gingerly slipped off to your lips, and touched them with his thumb, a gentle smile gracing his lips. In a voice as soothing as a lullaby, he said, "We should go inside; it's so freezing here, dear."

A mischievous glint danced in your eyes, and you responded with a playful pout. "I don't know that my Soldier Boy is so sensitive to the cold."

Summoning his strength, Carlos flickered his tongue, and he snugly adjusted your red scarf. His dark obsidian orbs glisten, fixating on you sharply, trying to pull your soul into his embrace and swimming in his beautiful eyes. "I may be a soldier, but I'm not the Winter Soldier," he said, once again retracing your eyes.

With a playful wink, he lightened the mood, adding, "Also, my dear, you're not a Yeti. Though if you were, I'm sure you would be fine standing on snowy days like this, but not this long, am I correct?"

"Uh... with so many mystical creatures, why did you choose to compare me to a Yeti?"

As you follow Carlos' shadow, both of you tread a path toward the cabin, where you and he are staying for a wedding anniversary. Though he's so bad at selecting a romantic destination to date. You're quite smitten with this hidden gem.

"Whoa, that's quite freezing. I have no idea about your ability to stay on a snowy day like that," he mused, tracing the contours of your gaze with his own.

With a playful voice, he lightened the mood, adding, "So what's on your mind, sweetheart? I remember you mentioning something, but Nikolai interrupted us. That stupid silver phantom is quite annoying, isn't he?"

You pinched his cheeks, pretending to be angry. "Hey, don't talk bad about your coworkers; Mr. Zinoviev is a good man."

Your laughter cascades into the air, alluring the whole room with a romantic aura. With a graceful dance, you glided to the corner of the room and reached the drawer. Your fingertips are sliding along the contour of a cardboard box, trying to feel the shape of it. The box was wrapped in hues of blue and yellow.

"This is for you, Carlos."

"Eh? You don't have to give me a gift!" he added playfully, mimicking a crying voice. "And now I want to cry, huhuhu."

"Hey! Stop that!"

As his fingertips glided through the box, a delightful smile curled on his lips. His eyes were glimmering, almost like the first stars you saw in the clear night sky.

He gingerly cradled the box in his hands, trying not to ruin the shape of the box. Because, for God's sake, he cherished every detail of you. He is always thinking that you are a good omen from his darkest past. He appreciates everything you give him; he doesn't even regret loving you.

"Oh..."

With a sigh of wonder, he let his shoulder sag, feeling overwhelmed with what he had just seen. His mind, trying to piece together the whole memory with you, the clouds above his head, has turned into a beautiful rainbow.

His glassy eyes, brimming with emotion, gazed at you in disbelief, tears flowing down his cheeks. The tenderness was real. Following his gesture, a soft kiss met your lips, followed by another one. Kiss again. Another and another.

In a trembling voice, he spoke. "Thank you... you've always been so nice to me. Even when we are strangers, your warmth always warms me."

"You like it, Carlos?"

"Of course I do. I hope I can carry this like a treasure to heaven."

The gift is a photograph of a moment between him and you. Captured beneath the beautiful cherry blossoms. He lost the photograph in the Racoon City Incident. But that photograph, by some magical force, reappeared before him. Giving him a romantic bond that ties you and him.

I'm Aaron, highschool student, not very good at much and not very interested in alot, don't have a path in life

I can't believe I'm only seeing your Scarlet Witch x JJK fic now

I've always been a big fan of Scarlet Witch and the idea of applying her abilities or character to another fandom. It just leaves so much opportunity to the imagination. And I've never found another fic about this crossover so good like this one.

I don't know how you did it, write and project what was only seen in the movies to a writing. The way you described the characters' way of processing things and the way you used her abilities in the story. Mostly, I don't usually enjoy canon plots being changed so much, bcs, well, the angst is there for a reason, right?

But, you did it and I was able to understand thoroughly why, and it's not just for the satisfaction of having your favorite characters alive again. You were able to give the characters room to grow and I can't wait to see what you will do later. I hope I don't sound selfish, but I really hope you'll continue this story until it's finished. Also, I wish you the best in your studies!

I do agree that Wanda is such a complex character and she has so, so much potential for crossover fics. (I'm even thinking of writing one maybe with her in the Grishaverse because I like that storyline, too!)

You're not entirely sure who it's from, or where it came from. But attached to each basket has a small note attached to it.

"Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. May you enjoy your festivities and traditions with those you care and love for. Be it family or friends. I sincerely wish you all the best. Good fortune to your matches as well."

The merriment for the season seems to have already spread to the residents, a festive glow filling their otherwise cluttered tea room. Carols are sung as seasons greetings are exchanged over small handmade gifts and sweets. The hope of a bright new year warming each of their hearts like the fire within the crackling fireplace.

Confusion echoed throughout the room as they tried to narrow down who might of sent the gift, but eventually they all seemed to have deemed it up to most likely be from one of the strange masked visitors they’d receive from time to time.

As for the food, well, she and Edward Rattington had already eaten a good portion of it in between the evening’s idle chatter. “Happy Holidays new friend, I hope you experience the same good fortune and joy you wish to spread.”

“Has it honestly been a year already? How awfully unproductive of me..” The shadow mused, the sound of a mimicked yawn escaping them as they lounged by the fireplace. A lazy smile replacing their often unsettling one. The dim fire light was the most comfortable, nothing too bright. “I ought to step it up this year.”

The shadow flipped the card back and forth a few times before shuffling through the goodies within the basket. Puncturing a few of the berries with a claw, lazily eating them mid thought. “May your year be plentiful as long as you keep your life a glow.”

Bonus:

Later that night, a basket full of trinkets for the mysterious sender can be found! Complete with a ribbon decorated lamp, fuzzy mittens, multiple holiday cookies and snacks, a small stained glass decoration, and a warm blanket can be found!

Fanfic Writers: Director’s Cut

Blessings upon ye, Lolly!! I shall talk about “That’s My Mom!”

So, this fic actually began as a tiny divergence! It started with Junior seeing his mom’s photos and then interrupting the conversation shortly thereafter, halting the pizza stacking challenge. I decided after a while that I wanted it to fit in canon properly and changed CJ’s interruption to after Raph beats Leo’s record. I also plan to make this fit with the Casey (Sr) lore I’m writing, so you’ll eventually be able to read her perspective of this scene with the added bonus of context for how she’s developed since the show, huhuhu!!

So, there’s a bunch of scenes/lines I wanna talk about:

- The Incident mentioned near the beginning is the same one from the last flashback where Casey teleports F!Leo and Jr away. Junior suffered both physical and mental trauma from it, which repressed most of his memories of his mom. I hope I made that clear in the fic, lol!

- “Do you know how many ‘Casey Jones’ are in the Manhattan area alone?? Too many! I counted- TWICE!” << And Casey Sr has challenged just about all of them (and won) to establish dominance #FACTS

- “What are you talking about, I calculated the perfect am- OWW!!” Donnie rubs at the arm Mikey just elbowed. << Proud of this one, hehe!! I was actually a little nervous writing this fic cuz of how easy I know it is to mischaracterize the Rise turtles, but I think I did a pretty good job! *pats self on back*

- Casey is, at this point, halfway through befriending the Hamato Clan. She already had Splinter’s vote of confidence by the end of the show. And of Course she’s Besties with Raph! (I’ll get into the hows and whens and whys in my lore fic probably). Mikey wormed his way into her heart like the little gremlin he is. And she’s on full given name basis with Leo and Don (ie calling them Leonardo and Donatello) and on Last Name basis with April (due to a wombo combo of social awkwardness, presumed rivalry, and currently misunderstood romantic feelings). It’ll get better! …Eventually!!

- Okay, whatever he thought before was a big fat fucking Lie. He Can’t Actually Handle This. << Contradictory Transitions are Hilarious so of course I had to put one in

- It makes sense now, why the older members of the Resistance spoke of the past with such fondness. There’s hope in abundance here, in the idle chatter and the eyes lacking decades of trauma. He’s glad to have helped save this. << Casey only just beginning to understand the dissonance and gravity of being the sole survivor of a doomed timeline

- a scent of ozone fills the air and lightning forms and crackles around a glowing pink portal lined with the petals of the Hamato clan symbol. << Casey was already experienced with portal magic, so once she eventually (I’ll get into it in the lore fic) unlocked her Ninpo, I don’t see why she Wouldn’t utilize it to power the abilities she learned in the Foot

- “The Kraang, yes, I know.” << Girl knows the bylaws of the Foot Clan by Heart. Why Wouldn’t she know about the Kraang? Woulda been majorly helpful during the movie me thinks *looks directly at the camera*

- “All your talk about Family this, Togetherness that,” Casey spits. Then, the anger just- vanishes , and Junior watches his mother curl in on herself, arms crossed and head dipping below her shoulders. He’s too far to hear what she says next, but the Hamatos near her certainly do, sharing wide-eyed sorrowful looks. << lore fic will eventually reveal what she said, but ah y’know *points at Casey* we got a former cult member feeling unsteady on her feet and insecure about her place with this close knit family! *strokes chin* Similar to Junior’s own insecurities, hmm?

- He’s 7 and his mom gives him a Choice << Exact same age as Casey when she started training for the Foot. Casey maybe felt she didn’t Have a Choice, so she sure as hell made sure her son got one

- “Tell me something I would only ever entrust to my child.” << Again, Lore Fic will reveal All

- She hugs him, gathers him into her arms and presses him against her. And despite having been given comfortable clothes and modern amenities and food and the peace of mind that the Kraang will not ruin this timeline, Casey finally Finally feels safe. << 🥹🥹 made myself cry writing this one. Oh, to be a displaced teen finding comfort in the arms of the past self of your deceased mother…

was catching up with my gOrL cousins earlier via chat and we realized how we hv so many kwentos to share with each other as it has been so long since we had a get together. we just got caught up with each of our own respective lives so we havent rlly had the time to plot our schedule and meet up in person. anyway, while we were catching up, we also realized that there are a lot of good things that are happening to us so we rlly have to see each other soon and just pour our hearts out.

that said, lemme share here a few of my own wins that actually just happened today!

💐moose and i hv been working on sa own company namin, and today, we got to close yet another deal with a huge client (((an international one!))) ♡ i wasnt rlly able to keep it to myself earlier when we were having our breakfast shoot by the beach. i squealed with delight when moosey messaged me that they responded to our proposal and they said yes to it! waaaaaahhh we're so happy! we'll be ironing the details when i get back from my werq trip but moosey already did reach out na to our soon-to-be employees.

employees—i cant believe we will be onboarding and handling our own people na. omg. life is rlly amazing! big g is rlly amazing! this is all because of big g!! HUHUHUHU.

minsan i still cant believe that im a co-founder of a (((start-up))) company and yet here i am just goofing around like ✌👁💋👁✌ hehe fr though i can be serious naman like ✊👁👄👁

💐enjoyed the beach today, even with the huge and strong waves! our plan to celebrate my birthday at the beach didnt happen but again, big g is out here giving it to me now HUHUHU +++ even though, i wasnt able to go to the beach on my birthday, i rlly enjoyed my birthday celebration in laguna too 🙆‍♀️💓 and bonus points because our furbebis rlly enjoyed that trip as well!

💐im getting a sewing machine! grandma messaged pala around midday, asking me if i hv a smol sewing machine. i missed her call and message bc i was supah dupah busy with our shoots and wtvr. as that is the case, i called her right away when i read her message. i called dibs on the sewing machine that she sent a photo of on our chat. apparently, oir neighbor gave it to grandma. it is new but our neighbor just doesnt hv the time to sit and learn it so shes not rlly sure if it still werqs. lol.

im gonna take my chance with it though. ive been wanting to learn how to use a sewing machine. over the pandemic, i practiced sewing by hand and i enjoyed it so much! ive been putting off buying a sewing machine bc im worried im gonna get overwhelmed and then izz just gonna end up as a clutter sa house. hehe. so now that i got a free one, a cute smol one, i feel like there's lil to no pressure for me so to say that im excOited is surely an understatement 🥰🎉 wahahahahahaha. yay!!

madali kasi ako ma-overwhelm, especially when things are unknown or new to me. hehe.

Biryani, sopas, at kape

I need to learn how to balance being kind to myself and pushing myself beyond my comfort zone.

It's Sunday again. I planned to start my day early but I guess the fatigue has really caught up to me. Last Wednesday marked my first month here in Elbi, but I still haven't completely adjusted yet. I've been so used to my weekday-weekend routine for the past 8 years; I'd hustle at work from Monday to Friday, then I'd spend my Saturday-Sunday doing errands, lazing out, walking, eating, basta tambay galore lang haha. Now, yung weekends ko apart from personal errands like laundry, I still need to study and do lots of reports. I have anticipated this, though, kaya I really pushed for full-time study leave. Thankfully, it was granted.

This week was good to me although it seemed like a blur. Last Sunday, after Tumblring I did some work then went to the church at 5pm. My foggy mind already forgot the Homily huhuhu, but I remember getting struck by it. Small bump on the road lang yung bland coffee na nabili ko in the eve, but it still powered me through the night writing my lab report about stem cross-section.

Kasoooooo during the Plant Anatomy class on Monday, gagi wala pang 30 seconds na nakatayo ako in front, our Prof already said stop, repeat the lab work because my sample was too old na raw haha! Kinda got stunned but we just laughed it off. We really love how our Prof is so sarcastic and tactless, but so fun and informative. She's not a really great teacher (she's a University Researcher, not exactly a Prof), but she's very good in showing us how to analyze our photomicrographs. You just have to be very quick in taking note of her points, and organizing them later on.

Anyway, after class I really committed to doing overtime for my Plant Anatomy lab works for the rest of the week. I spent my Monday afternoon, whole of Wednesday, whole of Thursday, and half of Friday sampling plants, free-hand sectioning them, staining them, and viewing them under the microscope.

Grabe super lula na ako everytime I'd go out of the lab at 5pm haha! But Tita Susan and Sir Jeff are reaaaaaally very accommodating Lab Technicians hehe. Sarap ng spaghetti ni Tita Susan huhu! Mas nakavibes ko rin mga Plant Anatomy classmates ko because of our lab hours.

Super hirap makakuha ng maayos na cross-section hehe, may times din na okay na sana yung sample ko kaso nasisira whenever I fix it on the slide or I stain it and flood it with water huhu! But I really learned a lot. Scared lang of course, kasi di ako naggogloves tas carcinogenic pala yung stains hahaha!

I really don't like microscopy haha! Ever since! I also get easily bored inside the lab, gusto ko nasa labas lagi. But perhaps it also stems from my lack of practice. So far, halos nagamay ko na rin yung free-hand sectioning and microscope manipulation. Hindi ako proficient, but I'm still excited to teach my students this new skill.

Last Tuesday also, holiday dito pero we did lab paperwork for our Forest Ecology lab on species mapping. Amazing, yung isa ko palang groupmate ay lowkey lang pero marami nang publications huhu! She's a URA (University Research Associate), taking MS also. Our other groupmate naman is from Baao pala hehe! Tas kapatid din siya ng former student ko. Basta super small world hehe. Our other two groupmates couldn't attend but I hope to know them further din in the coming weeks. Last Thursday afternoon and Friday, we plotted our transect for our lab on forest floor cover. Nakakatuwang matuto from our undergrad groupmates on how to plot the bearings for the transect. Talagang dapat specific yung compass directions, di pwedeng basta basta lang.

May utang pa ako sa kanila huhu! Di ko pa nagagawa yung part ko sa species mapping lab! Why? Because after doing Plant Anatomy labwork last Friday, I prepared naman for our Pisay Bikol Tulong Dunong 2024. I was tasked to teach Scientific Method and Variables to 240 Grade 6 pupils via Google Meet. Nakeri naman hehe, medyo napuyat. I was already dreading having signed up to this tutorial, kasi of course imbes na restmode na I needed to shift my mindset back to being a teacher and prepare materials pa diba.

Oks naman though hehe. Suuuuper fun naman yung naging discussion! I lowkey was kinda scared, I didn't know how to sustain the attention of the Grade 6 kids lalo pa at online tutorial. I did away with the lengthy lectures, I just did some diagrams and planned on giving test drills tas I'd explain them later on. But honestly, whatever I prepared, kulang pa pala haha! I had to do on-the-spot illustrations and explanations of how the Scientific Method was used in understanding the real world. Nachallenge din ang understanding ko! But things went well naman, they were so rowdy sa chatbox kaya I had to turn it off several times, then turn it on kapag I need responses from them. Overall, feel ko nagets naman nila nang maayos yung Scientific Method hehe! Napahaba lang talaga sa explanations, and sa chikahan on the side! They had so many questions about Pisay, and of course I was so willing to respond naman, bilang alumnus.

I hope they enjoyed hehe, kahit na magulo rin ako mag-explain at times. In fairness, sabi naman nila gusto nila ako maging teacher hehe! May Round 2 pa ako though, next Saturday. I'll squeeze Variables and Biology in just 2 hours huhu sana kayanin! Another win for me pala this week was finally being able to go to the gym! Last Tuesday, kahit super busy I really pushed myself to go at lunchtime. Typical bakal gym, pero mura naman and hindi crowded, tas mabait naman yung coach on duty, though they wouldn't really focus on you for the entire time unlike doon sa gym ko back in Goa. Tas yesterday, after the online tutorial nagrest lang ako then late eve I went back. Ngarag!!! Pero kinaya naman hehe. Sobrang tahimik namin kagabi, minding our own routines haha. Hanap ngako gym buddy, para may kausap naman kahit pano. Nevertheless, it's still a win for my personal health!

As for today, I woke up late and super sakit ng katawan because of workout kagabi haha! Then I went to the Sunday Market again, had biryani (sobrang sarap!), finally yung naamoy ko last Sunday natikman ko na now haha! Tas sopas, and laaaaarge coffeeeeee!!! Sobrang nabitin kasi ako sa small cup nila last week haha, kaya nagpalarge ako now kahit pa juice cup yung pinaglagyan nila haha! Nagtakeout din ako sopas para sa housemate ko na jusq hindi pa pala natutulog, dami raw kasing acad work and org work. I was happy na finally nakapagbuy ako ng food for my housemate hehe. Nahihiya ako syempre, kasi yung first 2 weeks na stay ko rito last Aug, hindi na nila ako pinabayad. This Sept na lang daw ang start ng rent ko. Tas parang for the past weeks ang lutang ko and tahimik kaya baka naisip niya galit ako or what haha, pero sa totoo lang sobrang dami lang talagang iniisip. Especially financial!!! Kaya mabuti na rin kahit paano umokay2 na ang financial stance ko now, although marami pang dapat ifix.

Oh, and just as I was writing this, napansin ko nag-emerge na from pupa yung adult moth na iniincubate koooooo!!!!

Naamaze ako, finally being able to observe these. I felt daunted when I collected the larvae and then they started to pupate na kahit nasa plastic pa. Tas nung trinansfer ko sila dito sa rearing chamber, I was lowkey expecting that they would all die. Pero hey, nabuhay!!!

Last Saturday also, yung shield bug nymph na inalagaan ko, nagmolt into adult stage after about a week. Amazing!!!

Ayun na muna siguro for now hehe. At the moment, I still need to do laundry (papalaundry shop na lang kasi laging mahina araw the past weeks, di bumabango handwashed clothes ko). Tas magsisimba rin, and I still need to write 1 lab report for Forest Ecology, 3 lab reports for Plant Anatomy, and 1 proposal for my Special Problems (sobrang napabayaan ko na ito dahil minarathon ko yung Anatomy!). Kaya ko ba? Kayaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
