💌 note: posting this bcz there's only 2 weeks left of the challenge which is both a relief and a terror, also i felt like i wasnt studying enough but i actually have finished a lot of things and im pretty proud of myself, the exam i have been studying for is right around the corner and i am confident that i can achieve the marks i have been aiming for, also im really happy because i have been working on all the habits that i wanted to incorporate into my routine this year. my friends have been cheering me on all the way and i love them for that, hoping everyone achieves their goals in 2024 and has an amazing year <3

First of all, I just want to begin by saying that you're doing great. Not everyone pursues the HSC and that in itself is something to be proud of, do not discount your achievements thus far.

Secondly, the leap from junior school to senior school in Australia (at least in the experience of myself and those around me) is nothing to be scoffed at. As students and learners it is incredibly easy to become trapped in our previous habits of complacence (something that often plagues me personally in the form of extreme procrastination and a lack of study schedule) as a lack of consequence leads us by the hand and gives us a false sense of security that is only ripped away when we are faced with a change of routine. In this sense, Year 11 & 12 is an earthquake manifest. They shake the structures that previously housed your education until they come tumbling down upon you - and then you must rebuild.

However, In my opinion this is not to be perceived as a loss but a moment of great opportunity. After losing this sense of stability you must apply your newfound knowledge of what may happen in order to strengthen your habits.

Read.

Reading is the single most important practice in strengthening your vocabulary and writing (and even if you take mostly science subjects, nothing will take you further in life than a high level of literacy). Read widely every day. Articles, Novels, Essays - whatever you like. Study by reading. It doesn't have to be hard, throughout my senior years of high school I probably did a total of 6 practice papers (though I do not promote this course of action) and ended up doing (more than) fine on all my exams and assignments because instead I would spend my time reading up on the topics that had been discussed in class (I highly recommend when you inevitably do Shakespeare, read some of the criticisms by Harold Bloom). Listen to podcasts before your exam. Pre-Finals I would sunbathe on my back porch while listening to relevant podcasts on Spotify, by god it helps.

Spend Time away from your work.

Play cards at lunch, talk about menial things during lulls in class-time, go to parties in fields. Honestly, the best thing about the senior years is spending time with your peers- don't loose that because you are too worried about your rankings. This certificate is a cruel beast that will bite and scratch at you if you let it. Do not let it. Get a good amount of rest, you are a teenager so that means that it is your god given right to nap like nothing else.

And above all, don't stress. I know it is easier said than done (many a time I was found crying over maths on my kitchen floor) but it is seriously a blip in your life. You will adapt, you will learn, and you will do well. This will set you up if you want to pursue tertiary education, chiefly because it is a learning experience. If you have never felt crippled over an essay before entering university it will cripple you later. let it happen now and then move on.

Where it all started!

Hi guys, Ian here. It’s my very first time blogging so I’m going to share a bit of my sports experiences with you. Hope you enjoy it!

Since my early childhood I’ve always enjoyed playing challenging games with my friends outside. Surprisingly, we were all very competitive for our young age. Little did we know that some of us would achieve so high in the sports field today.

My friends and I had been to the same school from Primary to Secondary. Throughout our schooling, we’ve always supported each other to succeed in our studies and also in the various sports activities that were held at school. We were among the best athletes during that time. Always representing our college at National level and smashing records one after the other. I was specialized in jumping events(Long Jump & Triple Jump) and my friends in sprints(100m & 200m). Unfortunately due to my HSC exams I had to gave up my dream of becoming a professional jumper and let my friends conquered theirs.   

Thankfully, after my HSC exams, I had the immense opportunity, thanks to my P.E teacher, to have a work experience at the Gym he works at after school. I took a traineeship by his side whereby he taught me the basics of bodybuilding and how to train different people depending on their body goals. I was really fascinated by the way he trains and motivates his clients there. He was passionate about his work and always love sharing his knowledge with others. He gives the best and always push you to be a better version of yourself.

The reason why I choose the Physical Education course at the MIE is because I want to become a role model teacher and teach the new generation about the benefits of sports activities and its positive impact on our lives. And also on how physical activities prevents us from falling into scourge. As an exemplary teacher my aim will be to bolster my students mindset and make it clear that sports helps us not only in maintaining a proper physique and positive mentality but also to be discipline in our daily routine.

Students must have come before 15 minutes of exam time in the examination room.

Admit Card, Registration Card, Calculator, and necessary materials are allowed in Exam Hall. Not allow any others documents or bags in the exam hall.

Students can not carry any mobile phone in the examination room.

Students must use their own seats than were planned before by the exam authority. Anybody can not change their seat without the exam authorities’ permission.

Students must fill up their Roll, Registration, Exam Code and other necessary things and also sign the attendance sheet properly.

Students must pass theoretical and practical examinations separately.
