700 Palestinians were killed in the last 24 hours and the airstrikes are more violent each night. Gaza's hospitals have fuel left for two more days. Israel only allowed aid into Gaza on the condition they didn't carry fuel. The Indonesian hospital has shut down already, because doctors have no supplies and no choice but to let the wounded die. They're calling it a collapse but the term doesn't do it justice.
Over a 100 incubator babies are at risk. There are 50.000 pregnant women in Gaza right now, and 5.500 due to give birth this month. Menstruating people are taking pills in order to stop their periods, because they do not have pads or water to maintain hygiene. Surgeons are operating without anesthesia. Water is not reaching Gazans because there's no electricity or fuel for water pumps.
There's no excuse for this. Israel justifies the airstrikes by saying they want to destroy Hamas infrastructure and release the hostages, but they have refused to negotiate for their release. Hamas informed Israel they wanted to release two elderly women without anything in return, and Israel refused. Netanyahu said they wouldn't take their own civilians back because it was "mendacious propaganda." When the hostages were finally released, Netanyahu prohibited the hospital from giving press releases. Yocheved Lifshitz went behind their backs and talked to the press anyway, saying she was treated very well by Hamas, but the government abandoned them. They're being used as straw men. Israel is conditioning the entry of fuel to the release of hostages and yet, according to The Wall Street Journal, when Hamas proposed to exchange 50 hostages for fuel they denied. IDF officials have said they fear the release of more hostages because that might withhold the order to their ground invasion. They do not care as long as they can use the hostages as a pretext for their slaughtering.
There's a turning tide for Palestine in public support. Support for Israel was built through decades of propaganda and we are making a dent into it. Zionists are desperate, holding zoom meetings to promote zionism, but we have to do so much more. We have to shame people in power into supporting the Palestinian cause.
Keep yourself updated and share Palestinian voices, looking to inform yourself from the sources. Palestinians have asked of us only that we share, tweet and post, over and over. Muna El-Kurd said every tweet is like a treasure to them, because their voices are repressed on social media and even on this very app. Make it your action item to share something about the Palestinian plight everyday. Take action. You can participate in boycotts wherever you are in the world, through BDS guidelines. Right now, they are focusing on boycotting (don't be overwhelmed by gigantic boycott lists. Only boycott additional brands if you can):
Carrefour
HP
Puma
Sabra
Sodastream
Ahava cosmetics
Israeli fruits and vegetables
Push for a cultural boycott - pressure your favorite artist to speak out on Palestine and cancel any upcoming performances on occupied territory (Lorde cancelled her gig in Israel because of this. It works.)
If you can, participate in direct action or donate. Palestine Action works to shut down Israeli weapons factories in the UK and USA, and have successfully shut down one of their firms in London. Some of the activists are going on trial and are calling for mobilizing on court.
Call your representatives. The Labour Party in the UK had an emergency meeting after several councilors threatened to resign if they didn't condemn Israeli war crimes. Calling to show your complaints works, even more if you live in a country that funds genocide.

1930 Ford Highboy Coupe
There’s always lots of detail work with any build and this ’30 Ford highboy coupe is no exception. Look closely and you will find Craftworks Fabrication handmade steel motor mounts. The license plate and valve covers were painted by Jeremy Seanor of Luckystrike Designs. He also painted all the accompanying engine and tranny parts. The powdercoat was handled by Pittsburgh Powder Coat while the chrome plating was conducted by Jon Wright’s Custom Chrome Plating.
The chassis is comprised of a Roadster Shop custom frame that was stepped, stretched, and features contoured ’32 Ford-style framerails. It was also then boxed, capped, and has hole punch flared front framehorns. From here the frame is outfitted with a Super Bell 4-inch drop, drilled and plated I-beam axle, low-profile monoleaf spring with Ridetech tubular shocks paired to custom-made drilled billet radius rods from Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop. Steering falls to the Flaming River box and a LimeWorks Hot Rod column topped with a four-spoke Billet Specialties Sprint Car–style leather-wrapped wheel. In back there’s a Currie 9-inch rearend outfitted with 3.70 gears, 31-spline axles, QA1 coilovers, a Pete & Jakes Panhard bar, and a parallel four-link setup. Braking is a combination of disc/drum front to rear. The forward braking dark gray–painted Wilwood Dynalite calipers are neatly hidden behind the Pete & Jakes finned backing plates. While in back the 9-inch is outfitted with 11-inch brakes, this time hidden beneath the SO-CAL Speed Shop finned drums all the while the chassis rides on a full set of 16-inch Dayton wire wheels wrapped with Coker/Excelsior rubber measuring 5.50R16 in front and 7.00R18 in the back.
All hot rods have something fun settled between the ’rails and beneath the hood (well if they have a hood). In the case of our ’30 Ford highboy coupe it sure appears to be a vintage Ford Y-block but after more than a cursory look we begin to see the telltale signs that there’s something more. Indeed, while it may look like a Ford it truly is a 376-inch LSX iron block, with aluminum heads and ARP studs, plus adapter-equipped small-block Ford (Windsor) valve covers all from Don Hardy Race Cars and then assembled by Talik and Marc Mullin. The intake is an Edelbrock LS dual quad with a pair of Thunder AVS EnduraShine carbs dressed in OTB air cleaners. Delivering the gas from the Tanks stainless reservoir is an Earl’s Performance billet fuel pump. More engine accessories include an MSD 6AL box to go along with the MSD billet Ford small-block distributor that functions through a timing cover adapter from Chevrolet Performance all the while using an MSD coil and Lokar vintage plug wires. Powermaster also supplied the alternator and starter, the battery is an XS Power AGM, and a Wegner Motorsports water pump is used as well as a Wegner front accessory drive unit. This 500-plus hp V-8 utilizes custom headers made at Craftworks Fabrication based on Ultimate Headers LS header flanges. The pseudo-Ford small-block is backed up to a TCI StreetFighter 700-R4 with a 2,800-stall speed converter operated by a Lokar shifter. The trans cooler comes by way of Derale Performance and moves the power through a 3-inch-diameter custom-made driveshaft.

hey, I’m a friend of @bulletkin on discord and I was wondering if you have a good Enkidu build in mind. We are a team of five, with a risky close range (me, enkidu) a support (swallowtail) a long distance big guns (deaths head), a mid range NHP and pilot duo (Pegasus, it’s complicated but I am happy to elaborate) and a tech attacker (hydra). you may have noticed that I am the only (full) close range mech, and unfortunately I am really good at exploding. Do you have higher level Enkidu routes/suggestions? I’m trying to get my movement up and be more debilitating when in close combat. Thanks!!
-- HA ENKIDU @ LL6 -- [ LICENSES ] HA Tokugawa 3, IPS-N Tortuga 3 [ CORE BONUSES ] Reinforced Frame, Heatfall Coolant System [ TALENTS ] Nuclear Cavalier 3, Hunter 2, Skirmisher 2, Combined Arms 1, Duelist 1 [ STATS ] HULL:4 AGI:2 SYS:0 ENGI:2 STRUCTURE:4 HP:28 ARMOR:0 STRESS:4 HEATCAP:10 REPAIR:5 TECH ATK:-2 LIMITED:+1 SPD:4 EVA:10 EDEF:8 SENSE:5 SAVE:13 [ WEAPONS ] Integrated: Plasma Talons Integrated: Fuel Rod Gun FLEX MOUNT: Torch FLEX MOUNT: Assault Rifle [ SYSTEMS ] Personalizations, HyperDense Armor, Deep Well Heat Sink
I call this one War Without Reason. It might not hit your "movement up" goal, but it will hopefully fix your exploding issue.
The maths works out like this: frames with 0 or 1 Armor don't benefit as much from the +1 Armor that Sloped Plating gives as much as they do from the +5 HP given by Reinforced Frame. We're going to pump Hull to 4, which in addition to +8 HP gives us that sweet +2 Repair Cap as well, and stacked with the +2 HP from Personalizations and the +3 HP you get from Grit, that takes us up to a truly absurd 28 HP.
Then, we use HyperDense Armor from the IPS-N Tortuga. This gives us Resistance to both damage and heat from all sources beyond Range 3 - which is the effective range of our Plasma Talons. Against enemies who don't have a way of Shredding us or otherwise bypassing Resistance, we effectively have twice as much HP. Sure, it leaves us Slowed, but once we get into the Danger Zone we have Speed 7 so it barely matters. It also protects us from heatgun enemies trying to slag our reactor.
Speaking of which, once we get into the Danger Zone - which we can do reliably and safely given that we have a Torch and our Overcharge never goes above 1d6 - our build really gets going. The first two ranks of Nuclear Cavalier turn on, we gain access to Plasma Talons and if we start a turn still in the Danger Zone, we gain Resistance to heat from Deep Well Heat Sink, meaning we can overcharge on the cheap and our Torch only gains us 1 heat.
We have two reliable sources of soft cover: whenever we're engaged with an enemy, we gain it, and whenever we take a turn without harming anyone, we gain it. This increases our survivability against ranged attacks.
We have Hunter 2 for one specific reason: you can now throw your fucking Plasma Talons at people, effectively extending their range by 2 spaces. Since Thrown weapons are still melee attacks, this doesn't violate the prohibition on ranged attacks from All Fours.

Understanding Power Steering Systems and Their Components
Power steering has revolutionized the way vehicles are handled, making it easier for drivers to maneuver cars, especially at low speeds. While earlier vehicles relied on manual steering systems, advancements in technology have made power steering a standard feature in most modern cars. Whether it's a power steering box, a BMW power steering rack, or a Ford electric steering rack, each component plays a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient vehicle control. In this article, we'll delve deeper into the key components of power steering systems and explore common repairs, including electric power steering repairs.
What is Power Steering?
Power steering is a system that aids the driver in steering by using hydraulic or electric power. Without this assistance, turning a car's wheel would require much more physical effort, especially when driving at low speeds or parking. There are two primary types of power steering systems:
Hydraulic Power Steering (HPS): This system uses hydraulic fluid to assist in turning the wheels. The power steering pump pressurizes the fluid, which then aids the steering rack and pinion system.
Electric Power Steering (EPS): Instead of using hydraulic fluid, EPS relies on an electric motor to provide steering assistance. The motor is controlled by sensors and the vehicle’s computer system, allowing for more precise steering input and energy efficiency.
The Importance of the Power Steering Box
The power steering box is an integral part of many hydraulic steering systems. It contains gears that convert the rotational movement of the steering wheel into a linear motion, which then turns the vehicle's wheels. The power steering box plays a key role in determining how responsive and easy the steering feels.
Over time, the power steering box can wear out due to regular use, leading to increased steering effort, fluid leaks, or even total failure. Regular maintenance and timely repairs are necessary to ensure the longevity of the system.
In some cases, issues with the power steering box can cause uneven tire wear, excessive play in the steering wheel, or difficulty in turning the wheel at low speeds. If you experience any of these symptoms, it might be time to inspect or replace your power steering box.
BMW Power Steering Rack: Precision and Performance
BMW is known for its precision engineering and superior handling, and its power steering system plays a crucial role in that performance. The BMW power steering rack is a vital component that directly impacts the vehicle's steering response and overall handling.
A power steering rack converts the rotational motion from the steering wheel into the lateral motion that turns the wheels. In BMW vehicles, this rack is designed to offer tight, responsive handling, which is essential for a performance-driven experience. However, over time, the power steering rack may wear out, leading to problems like stiff steering, leaks, or difficulty in turning.
If you're facing steering issues in your BMW, it’s important to address them quickly to avoid costly repairs later on. Replacing the power steering rack can restore your vehicle’s smooth steering performance. Whether you're dealing with fluid leaks or unusual noises when steering, the BMW power steering rack is one component you shouldn't overlook.
Ford Electric Steering Rack: Efficiency and Innovation
Many modern vehicles, including Ford models, now come equipped with electric power steering (EPS) systems, replacing the traditional hydraulic systems. The Ford electric steering rack uses an electric motor to provide steering assistance, making the system more efficient and requiring less maintenance compared to hydraulic systems.
One of the major advantages of electric steering racks is the reduced energy consumption. Since the system only activates when the driver is steering, it doesn’t constantly draw power like a hydraulic system, making it
more fuel-efficient. Additionally, EPS systems are lighter, contributing to better overall vehicle performance.
However, even electric steering systems are not immune to issues. If the Power Steering Boxes
malfunctions, you may experience increased steering effort, warning lights on the dashboard, or inconsistent steering feedback. Because these systems rely heavily on electronics and sensors, diagnosing the problem often requires specialized equipment.
Common Issues with Electric Power Steering Repairs
Despite their advanced technology, electric power steering systems can sometimes require repairs. One common issue is a failure of the electronic control unit (ECU), which processes input from the steering wheel and controls the electric motor. When the ECU fails, the steering assistance may stop working, making it difficult to turn the wheel.
In some cases, the electric motor itself may wear out or become faulty. This can result in intermittent or complete loss of power assistance, leading to harder steering. Additionally, worn-out sensors or wiring issues can cause erratic steering behavior or sudden jerks in the wheel.
If you're dealing with any of these issues, it’s important to seek professional electric power steering repairs. Unlike hydraulic systems, electric power steering components require specific diagnostic tools, and repairs often involve replacing electronic parts or recalibrating the system.
Diagnosing Steering Problems
Steering problems can arise from various parts of the power steering system, whether you’re driving a BMW with a precision power steering rack or a Ford with an electric steering rack. If you notice signs like increased steering effort, unusual noises when turning, or a loose steering wheel, it’s crucial to address the problem early.
One of the first steps in diagnosing steering problems is to check for fluid leaks. In hydraulic systems, low fluid
levels can cause the steering to become stiff or unresponsive. For electric power steering systems, on the other hand, an error code may appear on the dashboard, indicating an issue with the system.
It’s also important to check for wear and tear on components like the steering rack, tie rods, and ball joints. These parts are subjected to constant stress and can wear out over time, leading to steering issues.
The Future of Power Steering
As automotive technology continues to evolve, electric power steering systems are becoming more common across a wide range of vehicle models. They offer greater fuel efficiency, reduced maintenance, and enhanced driver control. However, the complexity of these systems means that repairs and maintenance are more specialized than in the past.
In the future, we may see even more advanced steering technologies, including fully autonomous steering systems that eliminate the need for a steering wheel altogether. Until then, maintaining and repairing your vehicle's power steering system—whether it's a BMW power steering rackFord electric steering rack or traditional hydraulic power steering box—will remain an essential part of vehicle care.
Conclusion
Power steering systems have greatly improved driving comfort and safety over the years, but like any mechanical system, they require regular maintenance and occasional repairs. Understanding the differences between components like the BMW power steering rack and the Ford electric steering rack as well as recognizing the signs of wear and tear, can help you keep your vehicle in top condition.

Electric Power Steering Market: Taking a Smooth Turn
With a shift in the automotive industry toward more fuel-efficient and smarter vehicles, the electric power steering market has a huge potential to grow in the upcoming years. Consumers have started preferring the electric power steering (EPS) system over the traditional Hydraulic Power Steering (HPS) system when they decide to buy a new vehicle, as EPS provides an enhanced and smooth driving experience.
The EPS system does not require a mechanical connection between the steering and the wheels. In the electric power steering system, when the steering is turned, a torque sensor on the steering column detects this movement and sends information to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), which is the control unit of the car. This control unit then sends electricity to the motor placed at the end of the steering column. Once the motor receives the correct voltage signal, its gears start rotating, which controls the movement of the car's rack and ensures that the front wheels move in the desired direction!
Integration with other Automotive Systems: One of the biggest benefits of adopting the EPS system is that it can be integrated with other automotive systems, which is the need of the hour. Lane departure warning (LDW), automated parking and electronic stability control (ESC) are recent trends of the automotive industry that are compatible with the EPS system. The diverse applications of EPS in other automotive systems increase vehicles’ overall safety and enable more sophisticated steering assistance.
Integration with Autonomous Driving System: Another major industry trend is autonomous driving systems, and the EPS is crucial here, too! An Autonomous Driving System (ADS) requires electric power steering, as it allows the car to steer itself without the driver's assistance.
Why the Electric Power Steering Market is Growing: Advantages Offered by Electric Power Steering System
The EPS system is becoming popular as it offers many advantages when compared to the traditional hydraulic power steering system. HPS has a complicated design and consumes more power than electric power steering. Growing environmental concerns have given rise to the adoption of EPS as they consume less fuel than their traditional counterpart. According to some estimates, EPS can save up to 90% of the energy used by the HPS system. Moreover, the EPS system does not require hydraulic fluids, which results in reduced maintenance costs. Electric power steering also helps in reducing the weight of the vehicle as it uses electric motors instead of hydraulic pumps.
Governments and regulatory organizations in many countries have enforced strict guidelines related to CO2/CO emissions, fuel efficiency and vehicle safety, that mandate manufacturers to integrate cutting-edge technologies in steering mechanisms. For example, in case of frontal impact, collapsible electric power steering (CEPS) collapses the steering column and provides additional safety to the driver by reducing the risk of chest and head injuries.

Challenges
The EPS industry has its challenges too—limited aftermarket presence being the first. The EPS components have a relatively small aftermarket, which poses a challenge to vehicle owners looking for repairs or improvements. Secondly, despite being simple in design, the repair and maintenance of electric power steering is little complex. Since the market is evolving fast, specialized skills and equipment are required for proper servicing. This can lead to higher maintenance costs for the owner. EPS’s dependency on electrical systems is another major threat to the market growth, as electrical failures can affect steering performance, raising concerns regarding safety.
Global Overview
The global electric power steering market had a size value of more than USD 25.32 billion in 2023. This is anticipated to reach around USD 40 billion by 2030, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 6.6% from 2024 to 2030. The market has witnessed tremendous transformation in the recent few years. With the growing popularity of hybrid and electric vehicles, EPS system is delivering lightweight and energy-efficient solutions. Due to the emerging economies of the Asia Pacific, the EPS industry accounted for the largest revenue generation in this region in 2023. The rapidly growing demand for the solution from countries such as India and China, where the rising population provides a large customer base, has given a boost to the electric power steering market.
Europe is another key market for EPS due to the presence of significant manufacturers in the region. For example, the rising demand for ADAS and the push toward autonomous vehicles in Germany have given a push to the adoption of EPS by the major automakers operating in the country, such as Volkswagen Group, BMW AG, and Mercedes-Benz. Moreover, organizations such as the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) and the European Union (EU) have implemented stringent emission and fuel efficiency standards that encourage the adoption of EPS technology. North America has a significant presence of larger vehicles such as trucks and SUVs. These heavy vehicles require better safety features, such as precise and responsive steering systems. EPS technology plays a crucial role here.
Innovations in the industry
The EPS industry is evolving rapidly. Key players are coming up with innovative and latest technologies to stay ahead of their competitors. In April 2023, Nexteer Automotive launched the Modular Rack-Assist Electric Power Steering system (mREPS) to provide cost-effective, modular EPS solutions. The mREPS system offers advanced steering systems in heavier vehicles, including EVs. Similarly, in September 2022, Hitachi Astemo introduced a Steer-by-Wire prototype, which actuates the tires through the electric control of steering wheel inputs.
JTEKT Corporation, GKN Automotive Limited, Hitachi Astemo, Ltd., Denso Corporation, Nexteer Automotive, NSK Ltd., Robert Bosch GmbH, Hyundai Mobis, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and ZF Friedrichshafen AG, are some of the leading companies in the electric power steering market.
