Nobody has suffered at the hands of pokemon fans more than nice rivals in 3d games. Seriously nobody gave a shit about nice rivals until XY the worst I've heard is that helping Wally catch his ralts takes too long and May/Brendan's starter never fully evolves. They were both nice. Barry, lucas/dawn, Bianca, cheren, N, and Hugh were all nice. Silver and Blue were literally the only really actually mean rivals until Gladion. What about Shauna made people start frothing at the mouth. Everybody needs to apologize to Trace right now he wasn't even a replacement for Blue like Blue was in that game doing his own damn thing. And the audacity of some people to beg for mean rivals back and then treat Carmine the way they do. The nostalgia poisoning in the pokemon fandom is making people hallucinate.

far cry is a mid ubisoft game but it's less about shooting and grenade launching and fighting for your life with a rebellious group in the middle of nowhere where help will not come for you and more about: "There was a time I would do anything for my sister, I mean the first time I ever killed was for my sister. Not enough for her," and it's also more about "Women can say that they love you in the moment, and really mean it. While men can only love in hindsight, when too much distance has built up." and it's also more about "John was not perfect. Sometimes he was not even good. But he was my brother." and it's also more about "But we would still talk every single night. Until they took his tongue." and how each instance of this type of love that was lost twisted each villain further and further into something unrecognizable and anw ubisoft lost the plot

AU where Loki doesn’t interfere with Thor’s banishment at all and it takes Thor years to prove himself worthy and when he returns to Asgard everything is just. The same. Nothing seems to have changed at all and everyone greets him like his absence was a minor obstacle that didn’t fundamentally change Thor and the worst part is Loki stepped down from the place as regent without any delay and Thor can’t help but feel there’s something underlaying the way his brother looks at him now and won’t let him touch him and Thor doesn’t know what he could have missed because he doesn’t think he would have found anything wrong with the things around him and how everyone behaves if he hadn’t spent time on Earth reflecting.
#the warriors 4 not being interested in anything Thor ‘learnt’ at all#and making it clear that Thor was punished unfairly and the AllFather’s decision had been harsh#Loki saying he’s happy for Thor and Thor sees the way the smiles are forced and he sees the way Loki avoids any touch#Thor hating the way Frigga talks about Loki’s short regency and Thor’s absence like it wasn’t two whole decades or something#like she’s so grateful to have her other son back without ever addressing why he was gone#Thor just. growing during his time on earth and being much more aware of the behaviour around him#he learns to be critical and assess why people around him may act a certain way#once he realises that it’s possible for him or anyone else to be fallible and make mistakes it’s over for Asgard for him I think#Thor returns and Loki gives him the throne and everyone expects him to obviously have the throne#and Odin is sleeping and Thor isn’t comfortable with the way everyone accepts him as king regent after the banishment#Loki who either never lashed out against Jotunheim or did and it was brushed away and no one thinks about it as anything#but Loki is still deeply affected and acts the way he always would have but Thor can feel it’s not the same#he knows something is wrong and Loki won’t say anything about it and Thor doesn’t know how to bring it up#Thor sees Loki metaphorically receding into the shadows to become a nonpresence so loud Thor hears it even after returning from decades away#Thor goes to Earth and gets his priorities in order gets a new worldview learns not to take what he has for granted#and finds out he actually despised Asgard#he’s been back a week and he can’t stand it

Why did Apollo favor the trojans in the Illiad?
So, dear Anon, I've been thinking about how to answer this question since I got it a couple days ago and I think I kind of want to make something clear before I get into it.
The Iliad by itself as a poem only covers some of the events that occur in the final year of a long protracted conflict that had been brewing for at least two decades and was an active war for ten. Within the space of the Iliad itself, the motivations and affairs of the major players are often referenced but there are many, many parts of the story that are not there because they belong to a different story cycle that has been since lost or was never recorded with words. In the space of the Iliad Apollo's motivations are questioned a lot - his pride is questioned by Poseidon who thinks Apollo should be just as angry at the Trojans as he considering Apollo was treated equally as poorly by Laomedon while they worked together. His honour is questioned by Hera who chastises him for taking the Trojans' side when he'd proclaimed that Achilles would live a long life and prosper at Thetis and Peleus' wedding. His own sister calls him a coward for refusing to fight when Zeus gives permission for the gods to go wild on the battlefield. For all that there's this image of Apollo in the Iliad as some staunch and unwavering protector of the Trojans, believe it or not, I largely think of Apollo as neutral in the war.
Which, I suppose, comes back to the question - why did Apollo favour the Trojans? The truthful answer is that I don't know. The Iliad and all its connected stories isn't something I've done enough research on to have an answer or a reference to an answer off the top of my head. The reasoning I'm aware of is that Apollo was a Patron God of Troy and really a god doesn't need any reason besides that to protect his people but it's not like Apollo abandoned the Greeks either. Calchas is the biggest example of that I can point to - descended directly from a priest of Apollo and one who attributed his mantic power to the god, Calchas was pivotal in ensuring the Greeks even got to Troy in the first place.
From a personal perspective however, I think Apollo was more dedicated to the house of Priam than he was the city of Troy itself. Apollo's affection for that house and all its members ran deep - from his admiration of Hecuba and Hector to his love and attempted courtship of Cassandra to his blessings given to Helenus, Deiphobos, Cassandra, Troilus and even his partnership with Paris - Apollo loved the house of Priam. When you think about the times Apollo lashes out against the Greeks, it's generally because they've done some nonsense to earn his ire. The plague was caused by Agamemnon disrespecting his priest, his aid in the slaughter of Patroclus was because he didn't respect him, his minor grudge against Diomedes too was because he tried to test Apollo's mettle and well, the less said about Achilles the better. Apart from his obvious favouring of Hector in the skirmishes, Apollo doesn't really oppose the Greeks. He has a ton of reasons to by the time the Iliad rolls around, including avenging the death of two of his sons, but he remains mostly satisfied with conducting his father's business and overseeing the war from a somewhat professional perspective. To me, it's always been less about Apollo caring about the fate of Troy as a city itself and more about him just really wanting to protect the people in the city that he's come to love and respect.
Of course, I encourage you to take my words with a big tablespoon of salt - like I said, I don't really know enough about the facts in particular to give a solid, confident answer but I can give you my interpretation of it. Maybe consult someone like @littlesparklight for a more comprehensive and grounded response 🤔

i genuinely dont get how so many people are uncritically excited for The Movie and have no issue with anything going on here i feel like im losing my mind a little bit . the trailers did not look good to me at all is everyone excited about it posting from an alternate dimension or something what are people seeing in this movie that im not .
#and i say this as someone whos standards are usually not that high and can have fun with most sonic media and liked the first 2 movies......#all i can feel is disappointment at how bad a job theyre doing at adapting sa2 and the disservice to certain characters/concepts#(obviously thats just based on the trailers i havent seen the movie and refuse to spend money on it so i cant give afull judgement#but the trailers certainly dont give a very good impression of the movie to me)#and before anyone says that its not an sa2 movie.theyre taking a lot of plot points and characters from sa2#and taking a lot of stuff from sa2 and using it in the marketing and such#they cant do all that and then go ''um actually its not an sa2 movie youre crazy for expecting an sa2 movie LOL''#i also wasnt expecting an exact recreation of sa2 either i would have bene fine with changes#but stuff like having gerald be alive and take rouge's spot in the dark story trio and making him a more comedic character#is ridiculous and feels inherently disrespectful to the source material#and thats not even getting into how it feels like im always hearing about some new awful thing#that paramount or one of the actors did which just makes me not wanna give them my money or time even more#sighhh i honestly just want this all to be over alerady and for the hype to die down so ican stop hearing about the movie#but i know its going to make one billion dollars and theyre just going to make more movies after this. hell on earth .

Sakamoto days manga spoilers! Parallels from the early manag VS todays chapter!
Showtime (chpt 8) with the sugarbunny mascot fight and Useful (chpt 198) with the fight in the dark and the piano finish. Both times either Shin or Sakamoto can't see during the fight, so they use Shins abilities to counter it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sakamoto is so proud. Also poor Lu. (They left the last panel out in the anime, lmao.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sakamoto carrying Shin like he weighs nothing, which to him he probably doesn't. Also Shin immediately copying Sakamoto and jamming on the piano. Love it
"You're actually pretty useful."- ahem. Excuse me. You just adopted him in case you didn't notice.

i think killer sans would listen to frank sinatra no this isnt because im listening to him and i think his love songs are the kinda slow heartfelt romantic messages and vibes in them fit killer and his romanticness,,,,, ok it totally is hehee,,,,,,,
i think it would be cute if dust and horror dont expect it when they ask killer what music he likes. killer doesn't really seem like the type to listen to music at least right?? or at least not something so sappy really!! dust just nods his head and thinks about it (actually it's a pleasant surprise to learn killer likes that genre) and horror just rolls his eye (what a douche liking songs like that,,,,,)
#tricule hc#also whenever i listen to him (its only been like an hour) i imagine mtt slow dancing and stuff#see i say they would never get along or have a typical sappy love story like that#but also i also think they would spend a long time around each other for them to develop a friendlier and kinder relationship#and during those years wouldnt there be some few softer and sweeter moments like that?? id like to think so :3#something stupid by frank sinatra mentions horrorkiller with red and blue#that should totally happen between them it would be so cute UAGH#im big on the idea that horror wouldnt like sappy romantic stuff and its quite silly and ironic that killer is romantic and i ship them#somewhere later on in the triglycercule mtt slow burn timeline that may happen between them ok#i just think so because horror would definitely find killer saying i love you stupid. or really any other affectionate words like that#bro would appreciate killer doing nice things for him a lot more it probably meaaaanssss moreeee to him hehehe#the stars get rid the night so blue and then i say something stupid like i love youuuu#horror grimaces and has an upset expression on his face and he just looks away from killer booo boooo#yeahhh he didnt like that killer can hear sans say. yeah but also he just looks sooo cute pouting says determination x3#killer doesnt pay any attention to either of them he just doesn't look away from horror's face and just keeps his mouth shut#i dont care much for flirty killer outside of an occasional joke here and there#but romantic killer??? THIS type of romantic killer?? the lyricism in frank sinatra songs is the type of shit i want to see from killer#one note samba... with something similar to what i just described. killer not knowing how to act on his affections and doing what he thinks#hrdt would like but in the end horror just finds it annoying and dust finds it just performative and dismisses it#aghhh well so what else can he do but return to what he originally did at first and make the most of it???#he just sits there and is quiet as he watches the two..... its not like the 3 dont prefer the silence#and killer can just get to watch dust and horror without any sort of external factor aside from his presence and them existing at that mom#im thinking just.....silly kist inspired by luck be a lady. its not anything SRS I SWEAR i would never subject kist to that#something lighthearted despite the song's lyrics more based off the music. killer pouts and stuff and gets tad bit irritated at how not#interested dust is in him. meanwhile dust just finds it very amusing to see except he just doesn't show it at all. cue cute animatic now#killer sans#dust sans#horror sans#murder time trio#mtt poly

Now for all we know touma could have cared very little for akira, but since we got the reveal that touma is mahiru's father I've been wondering if the people that died in accidents (or "accidents") touma had wanted to call out his name are more people than mahiru realizes.

Just finished watching the Japanese movie "Confessions" made back in 2010. I'm not a film enthusiast by any means because movies were major parts of the traumatic periods in my life, but every now and then, a good screenshot of a beautiful scene finds me on Pinterest, and I get intrigued. Mostly Chinese movies, but tonight, something fresh.
The movie is terrifying. Absolutely horrible. It shocked me how I could feel so much for even the villain-protagonists of the story. I cried when Shuya's mother died and I sobbed even harder when Mizuki died, though I knew for both, in a way, they deserved it. You're not supposed to feel for killers and those who support them by all means, but the movie made me understand why they committed such crimes. I'd been warned by a friend going into it that it is like a "fever dream" and I agree. The amount of twists in the plot made the film surreal for sure.
I guess it's surprising because even when I do put on the rare film, it's never a horror movie. I went into this one without watching the trailer and expected a romance movie, because the screenshot I'd found on Pinterest was of the kissing scene between Shuya and the other male classmate. The kissing scene was even better knowing it was more of a weapon than romance. But really, I've never cried four times in a film before, or shook so hard in my life. One of the best films I've ever seen, hands down.
I would read the novel but I'm not fluent in Japanese...instead, I'll utilize the film as inspiration for my own horror works. The film was quite graphic but I enjoyed the visual work, as a photography enthusiast. What surprised me the most overall was that I understood what was happening and who was who in mere minutes. With other films I've watched such as Unknown Pleasures, I tend to be unable to grasp what the film is about or what is going on and why. The movie was quite immersive and I didn't even feel as though an hour had passed.
#tw spoilers#spoiler#confessions#film review#japanese movie#honestly I'm writing this right after watching the film so there isn't much I can say. I'm shellshocked. it was fucking traumatizing.#I think the most disturbing part of the film for me was definitely how naoki treated his mother in the home. ik why he acted the way he did#but it still scared the shit out of me to hear him scream and come out and attack his mother like that.#I really hated his mother's character though. mothers who refuse to believe their sons can do bad at the worst. but I didn't want her to di#the story was kinda crazy...I didn't want shuya's mom to die either. I think all the motivations for the murder were insane.#shuya telling mizuki “you're just a way to pass time” really made me do a double-take on relationships honestly.#Within the first 20 min it feels like the story has already concluded and Ms. Yuko is just gonna reveal all the details of Manami's murder#but then you're actually throw into the aftermath and that is a surprise. you just expect the case to keep being solved.#and it is in a way but yk. it's not intended to be just that.#You know it's good because I can actually remember every character's name kk#analysis ✴️#also wanted to add that the foreshadowing of the story is fucking awesome if you can catch on.#when mizuki wouldn't greet shuya in the hallways and their hands split upon meeting it became obvious the nature of their relationship#I kinda knew they were gonna go downhill from there and that their relationship was losing meaning

To me one of the biggest mysteries in DSaF is why the hell "ay dios mío..." Is said by all FOUR Phoneys we meet. Like I always assumed it was a Rebecca thing that Harry and Roger picked up while they all worked together at the factory but then you have Jake ALSO say it which makes no sense bc as far as we're aware he never really met any of them before UNLESS he somehow spent time with Rebecca at some point?? No idea 👎
