Orange haired girl

Penelope Pea

She attends muse-ic class and she is very friendly with lots of backgrounders, mainly the girls. The wiki says she voted for Maddie in the election but I went back and watched and she only appears once in the hallway talking with her friends while Maddie is campaigning. I don’t think that proves that she voted for Maddie. She also, of course, is one of the background girls who constantly fawns over Daring. She’s actually so pretty.

She’s often seen with grey hair girl so much.

She can also often be spotted with background pink and purple hair girl

The three of them are a trio and in basically every hallway scene you can see them chatting in the background (I’m taking it as they’re besties and not just reused animation)

She is also seen with princess wearing blue and white, although not as often

My headcannons for her. None of these are really based on fact but they aren’t outlandish and they’re pretty likely.

She’s a Royal. Daughter of the princess and the pea. She has a transatlantic accent. Or at least a vaguely British accent. She doesn’t have perfect princess hair, she spends an hour each morning taming it since it’s naturally frizzy.

My headcannon is that she was originally supposed to be roommates with Duchess but since Apple switched rooms it set of a domino effect and she ended up getting roomed with blue and gold girl.

Her grey haired girl and pink & purple haired girl had been BFFA’s since their freshman year. Pink & purple haired girl is a rebel, grey haired girl is somewhere in the middle, but they don’t let conflicting views affect their friendship.

I think that her personality would be similar to most royals in personality, mainly to Holly. Speaking of Holly I think that Pen would definitely be reading Hollys fanfics.

She doesn’t know who her fairytale prince is but she knows that it probably isn’t a Charming. It’s most likely a second or third son.

But until then she has a little bit of romance

(This is canon) during true hearts day silver crown boy enters with blue and gold girl (the girl who I hc to be Penelopes roommate, she’s the one sprawled on the stairs in the sixth picture and on the end of Penelope and grey haired girl fawning over Daring) but during the dance Penelope and silver crown boy start hanging out and and the end of the night (the picture shown) they leave together. And then they are always shown together as a couple.

Silver crown boy (I might make a post on him later) is a rebel, he cheers for raven during legacy day and is seated on Maddies side for the election. I think they’re very cute… until they’re not

THATS RIGHT. FUCKING GREY HAIRED GIRL, HER BESTIE STOLE HER BF. Istg I was not expecting to find this kind of blatant drama. But she’s chatting him up during ‘Cupid makes things right… kinda’ and Penelope is no where to be seen. And then in that one really random Courtly redemption episode we see them at the theatre together. And then they’re cuddling during raven and dexters date. And you know what the worst part is?

Penelope is NEVER seen with grey haired girl again or silver brown boy again. And most of the times we see her after the breakup she’s all alone. Like all of her other friends took grey haired girls side.

This poor poor girl, I don’t know if I even want to make a post now for grey haired girl (I’m planning on doing as many as I can) like she just doesn’t deserve it.

In my perfect world she goes to Cupid for relationship troubles because yk her best friend stole her man and all her friends and Cupid consoled her and now (post canon) Penny ditched her old friends and is a part of the main characters.

Ps: I plan to make posts like this for all the background characters that I like/have hcs for. If anyone has any different hcs for orange haired girl please share. Or any other character. Or if you have a background character you want me to make a video on.

Why Eomir is one of my favourite villains

This will mostly be a dive into Eomir as a character as there's not heaps of lore for him, mostly just information about him as a person, but let's just get into why he's one of my fav villains!

The short answer is that he's not some poor, manipulated, misunderstood little guy, he doesn't have a sad backstory that absolves him of his crimes, he just sucks, and the game tells us as much, both upfront and through diary entries found in the environment and the way the thorned faction (which he leads) in general are described.

I will let this speak for itself

Eomir has always sucked. It's stated by Dahnie and Arden a few times that they fought alongside Eomir and that's how all three became sages, but throughout chapter 2 and 3 you often get the sense that no one who knows him personally really likes him, he's just tolerated due to the past. He's respected by those who don't truly know him because with his leadership the thorned guards defended the dark forest against the hypofiends.

He is one of the characters I'd say is irredeemable, not just because he killed people/allowed an entire village to die, but because he used his status to exert control in order for it to happen.

Eomir has a need for control, he makes this clear throughout his dialogue, but again, his controlling nature is also shown to us before we even meet him in the form of lyca's description of the thorned guards (see image 1 in this post) and the way he uses the thorned guards to unilaterally execute the exclusion edict despite no one else wanting it, and how he manufactures situations in order to "justify" this (the thorned guards trying to purposely injure and kidnap Damian in order to blame it on the refugees)

He also boasts his perceived superiority over Dahnie, Arden, and even Eironn, repeatedly putting them down as he claims to be the one true leader, you see him get more aggressive with this whenever he feels threatened.

A few examples in his dialogue:

Back to the ghost village, yes he actually did allow those villagers to die to the corruption. That's why no one knew about the corruption in that village, and that was also likely his motivation. He had to start somewhere in order for the corruption to take root, he always planned for those villagers to die so that no one could be warned, and so his reputation remained intact, he used his status as a sage to achieve this.

Eironn says he chose to turn a blind eye, I personally believe that to be untrue, I feel that's his way of coping, trying to perceive it as him not paying attention rather than him planning their deaths from the start. They were sacrificed, as Lorsan puts it, it was intentional.

Throughout chapters 2 and 3 it's clear he's never really been a pleasant or nice person, the traits mentioned above are not new, but some of them are amplified by the situation. I love the fact he doesn't have a sad backstory that tries to justify why he's like this, I love the fact he just. Sucks. It's refreshing to have an irredeemable villain that's not super satan! He was not manipulated into doing any of this, he did it because he wanted to, he was already the kind of person who would do this kinda stuff and that's why Illucia targeted him, because she didn't have to manipulate him into doing anything, he was easy pickings, a willing subject, a power hungry wannabe dictator.

i know you thought i'm mad at din, but i'm not (? 🤔 really?). i'm just miserable on how the thing goes, and need a moment to digest

sorry to say that i'm very disagree with your note about the emotional punch not achieved...... imo this is well-executed, i'm so glad that you adopted a lot of din's POV. compare to the 1st breakup (yea that still made me a bit upset, and this is the 2nd time dude, though pretty bird miraculously recovered in no time then, how can she trust you anymore???), i can fully feel his struggles, can see that he tried his best; since you have wonderfully illustrated his reluctance and longing. on the logical side, i understand this will be an obvious option for din who with protective nature, just like what he did to grogu in season 2 of the show

HOWEVER, i'm still voting for pretty bird to get a new gorgeous marcus something who is a pro hockey player (credit: @whirlwindrider29), she deserves that!!! and our plan got concurred by @heartbrokenlilbitch-nef (🤝🏻)! tin can can certainly go through some torture right?

Hi babe!! First, thank you so much for reading and for caring about their story! I so appreciate your kind words on the writing 😭😭 I'm very glad that there was some emotional panache in the last chapter and that Din's POV felt true to his show character and showcased his struggle. I will try to show more of that in the next chapters!

Now... feel free to be as mad at Din as you want 😂😂😊 To quote that TikToker "He's just a man! Hit him with your car!" 😂 He really is just a man and he is making decisions for Pretty Bird and keeping things from her and though his intentions are pure, this is a big no-no and she will not be standing for this type of behaviour ever again, don't you worry. I know it may seem like she recovered and forgave him very quickly after the last breakup, but we have to remember that even though it was 7/8 chapters for us, for them it was just 2 weeks of dating/getting to know each other. Sure, they had a really strong connection, but it was only 3 (very good) dates and while she had been sad and confused, it was really over the loss of potential.

This time is very different - this has been a deep and meaningful relationship that's spanned (if I count it out properly) about a year. The feelings of loss and hurt run very deep here, which is why these next two chapters are about Getting Over Someone - it will take a while. And even then, it isn't even until the final chapter that we get to Forgiveness. 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️

As for Hockey Player Marcus (or rather "Markus" as surely he would be Scandinavian 😂), he seems like a good guy and I don't know if I would want to set him up just to be a torture device for Din 😂😂 As it is, you can rest assured that Din will be tortured enough 😅😅 However, since you've expressed such an interest in Pretty Bird dating again, you've helped me make an important decision on where to end this next chapter; I've been writing these next two chapters together and have been debating whether or not to include a certain scene in part 1 or part 2, and now I think I'll include it at the end of part 1 😈😈
