Aaaaah chapter 6!!!!!!!!! I just wanna kiss and hug all the boys!!!! Like- Like- them playing video games (ORTHO BABY YOU REALLY DID THAT TO LEONAAAAAA) and Idia telling Vil about what Rook did djdhsisbsusjsh And feeling so proud when Epel gets his unique magic and it's so touching how Rook is so proud too and coaching him on how to cast the spell again- wisheoshejsh my Pomfiore family 😭😭😭😭 And when Vil says he could hug and kiss us and looks so genuinely happy- I just wanna make a round and kiss and hug everyone and tell them I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!! AND- and the team huddle- ajsvsoshsoshsj! And Idia going off about his games and how they zoom in on him- wjshsoshs! He's better at fangirling than me because this whole ask is how I fangirl lol. Ugh. The angst, too. I've paused for now before heading down to Idia & Co, but this game.... every single thing makes me love it so much 😭😭😭😭

but everything you pointed out !!! big yes !!! you got all my favorite parts from book 6 down pat. book 6 has been SUCH A RIDE bc we have such funny and heartwarming moments, like them all playing video games and the pome reunion and epel's UM, but then we also have the angst and sad moments, like idia rushing to the underworld to help "ortho" and seeing everyone fighting together and sometimes getting hurt :'))))

this game...it's actually playing with my feelings sm sm :')))) i just KNOW that the angst is gonna get worse before it gets better, and i'm just PRAYING that no one gets too hurt after all this is over sniff

Leona!Yuu but it’s Episode 3 and they’re being a menace

“Leonaaaaaaa,” Yuu called out, yawning. They took a quick glance out the window and saw the moon glowing brightly up the night sky. It was already late. “Come on, won’t you do it for your very own sibling? Don’t be so stingy.”

“You got yourself into that mess, get yourself out of it.” Was what the head of the Savanaclaw Dorm simply said as he turned away from Yuu and to his side, trying to get a wink of sleep.

But of course, even just attempting to sleep was proving to be a challenge when Leona had a very annoying older sibling hellbent on irritating him to death. Apparently, their favorite napping spot was going to be taken away permanently because they were foolish enough to decide and use it as collateral when they made a deal with the Octavinelle Dorm Head. They shouldn’t have made a deal in the first place but noooo, they had to go off and do it anyway.

Yuu didn’t even own the damn thing! What was it called… the Ramshackle Dorm, yeah, that one. In the first place, how did they even use it as collateral? What was Crowley doing? Why wasn’t he monitoring the school property properly? Well, okay that was a low bar. The Headmaster didn’t really do anything, but still.

Grim snickered softly from the sofa’s armrest, having climbed up there since earlier because it gave him a greater view of Leona who was suffering while trying (and failing) to block out Yuu’s ceaseless chatter with a pillow. He almost felt bad for Leona but what must be done, must be done. He really liked Ramshackle Dorm. Sure there were some ghosts living in it but the sunlight just hit certain areas around the dorm perfectly! It was the perfect napping spot! Ffna, he’d be damned if it got turned to a restaurant and have the peace and quiet get ruined…

“But Leonaaaaaa, that’s what I’m doing~~” Yuu lazily drawled out from the floor, having been literally kicked out of the bed earlier by Leona for trying to monopolize the majority of the space. Though, it didn’t look like they were too bothered being sprawled out on the floor. In fact, they looked close to dozing off. “And that’s why I need your heeeeeeelp.” Hmm… The carpet felt soft and nice to touch. Yuu wondered if Leona would notice it if they stole his carpet. He probably wouldn’t. They’ll steal it later.

“I don’t care, stop bothering me. Go away.”

“Ehh… Come oooon. I cleaned up your mess when you overblotted. Help me here a little. Besides, don’t I get to have older sibling privileges?”

Pointedly ignoring the overblot comment, Leona snorted and retorted: “The only privilege you have is being a public menace and disrupting what little peace I have in my life. Anyway, I won’t do it. Getting caught up with that octopus is troublesome enough as it is.” Leona grumbled before he looked over his shoulder to look at Yuu on the floor with a judging look. “In the first place, why would you even help those herbivores out? What do you even get out of helping them?”

Yuu hummed and tilted their head, an ear twitching slightly. That was a good question. “Hmmm… probably because they’re…” The older Kingscholar paused, trying to purposely make their answer as suspenseful as possible.

It didn’t look like it was working because instead of Leona looking curious and wanting to hear more, he looked more like he was preparing to throw a pillow straight at Yuu’s face the moment they said something stupid with how tight he was gripping it.

“Eh…cute! They’re like tiny newborn cubs, trying to look intimidating and keep running around curiously. It’s fun watching them get into trouble.” Yuu chuckled in amusement and then paused contemplatively. They willfully ignored the disbelieving look Leona was giving them, and then added. “Also because they give good ear scratches.”

Yuu shot a quick glance at the younger Kingscholar’s expression and chuckled internally when they saw him rearing his arm back.

Boof!

Heh. Yuu might have had a pillow thrown to their face but joke’s on Leona, they got a free pillow. Yuu calmly placed the pillow under their head. They yawned again. Now they just need a blanket… Leona probably won’t mind it if they stole his later, too.

“I can’t believe your loyalty was bought out by ear scratches. Have you no dignity as a Kingscholar?”Leona muttered, massaging the bridge of his nose in irritation. Yuu quickly replied with a, “Nope, none at all~.”

Hey, the ear scratches were good and the napping spots were great. What more can a feline ask in life? But now that their favorite napping spot was about to get taken away and their ear scratchers too busy to meet up with them because of the anemones on their heads, life was not fine.

Leona gave them a dry look before turning away once again. “Well, it’s your problem. You deal with it. I’m going back to sleep.”

Huh… seems like Leona wasn’t really budging about his decision.

Yuu looked at Grim who was lounging on the sofa’s armrest. Grim looked back at them and the two made eye-contact. Even though the two didn’t verbally say anything, they knew each other well enough to understand what the other was thinking. A mischievous grin appeared on Grim’s face.

“You really won’t help me, my dearest baby brother?” Yuu asked one last time with half-lidded eyes before Leona’s impending judgment.

Leona kept quiet, hoping that if he pretended he was asleep then Yuu and their gremlin cat would leave him alone but he could feel something was about to go wrong. The hairs on the back of his neck were standing up and for the Great Seven’s sake, he hoped Yuu wasn’t thinking of what he was hoping them NOT to do. Unfortunately for him, luck was not on his side.

Yuu once again looked at Grim and the two nodded at each other. A small favor for tuna cans it is, then.

Grim opened his maw and… he screamed bloody murder. It was loud and grating to the ears, like nails on a chalkboard. But it was even worse off for beastpeople due to their greater sense of hearing compared to that of humans. It was a wonder as to how Yuu could keep themselves upright but years of exposure to Grim probably built up their resistance to Grim’s unholy screeching.

Yuu quickly pushed and flipped themselves over, going on all fours. A sharp glint quickly flashed in their eyes like that of a predator that was about to catch its prey as they swiftly pounced onto the side of the bed which almost launched Leona off but he managed to hold on.

“You—!“

“LEONAAAA!”

“MREOOOOOOOOW! MREOOOOOOOOOOOW!”

Ruggie, who had come running to Leona’s room when he heard the yelling, paused at the doorway to take in the bizarre scene in front of him.

Grim was yelling non-stop on the sofa’s armrest while Yuu kept on jumping on Leona’s bed while simultaneously calling Leona’s name. Leona was slowly inching to the edge of the bed and looked close to falling on the floor with an expression on his face that showed that he was done with life.

“MREOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!”

“LEOOONAAAAAAA!”

“Grrr… I hate… all of you...”

Ruggie blinked, trying to take in the scene, before he slowly backed away and gently closed the door. He was not going to deal with whatever that is. Knowing Yuu and Grim, if he tried to stop them then the two would just target him too so it was better to leave them all alone. Siblings will be siblings, after all.

“Good luck, Leona. May you rest in peace...” Ruggie muttered before heading back to his own room for a very much needed rest. He had a feeling that something big was going to happen tomorrow so he was going to need all the energy he can muster up.

“Leonaaaaaa”, you whined as he pulled you forward, hurrying through the dark forest, “I want to go back to the festival. You can show me whatever there is to see here tomorrow. It’s already too dark to see anything anyway.” 

Leona did not let up, still holding onto your arm, marching through the forest. He was as stubborn as he was lazy, and you should have known that there was no way to make him stop. But you were getting increasingly frustrated. You had been enjoying the festival when Leona dragged you away, promising you something beautiful to see. But you were missing the ambiance and the food already and almost wished you were back between all the food stalls, enjoying the music and the lights with your friends, instead of walking through the forest with your usually lazy boyfriend. 

You ended up someplace you hadn’t been before, higher up, at a clearing, the lights and stalls from the festival seeming miles away as you could barely hear all the noises, the nightly sounds of nature instead taking over. 

“Leona, why did you bring me here?” You were now getting annoyed on top of your confusion, especially since you saw him sitting down, getting comfortable and almost ready to lay down as well. He motioned for you to join him and you shook your head. 

“No way, I did not walk all the way up here to have a catnap with you, you-” “BANG” 

You jumped at the loud noise, letting out a yelp as you looked around for the source. A sparkly noise followed, and you noticed all kind of colors filling the sky. You had completely forgotten the fireworks that would be part of the festival as well, and suddenly it clicked in your head what Leona had been trying to do all along. You sat down next to him, small smile on your face as you tried to ignore his smug grin. “yeah, yeah, you were right.” “That’s all I wanted to hear” You laughed, effectively shutting him up with a kiss as behind you, more colorful sparks filled the sky.
