@hellish-cleric replied to your post âI think it will come as no surprise to anyone that...â:
Yeah, everyone in my party, plus most of the players in my d&d group *hated* Astarion as soon as they met him. Meanwhile, I'm Team Ride or Die for Astarion. I'm a little confused at all the hate he gets.
âOh actually I can answer at least some of this!
He's an obviously camp character who was in a gay relationship (a forced gay relationship but w/e) in an AAA game that is mostly going out to dudebros, and frankly the people who overwhelmingly hate him or kill him immediately the most are straight guys. (The biggest complaints for BG3 are not actually the bugs, but the LGBTQIA+ rep, including being able to have a nonbinary character, or trans character). Within that context, there was already latent Astarion hate in the community that was easy for everyone else to pick up on. So some of it is honestly straight up homophobia!
Then on top of that they gave him PTSD over being saved by someone who then tortured him for 200 years and enslaved him in exchange for that rescue, so he reacts badly every time you save someone, because he doesn't trust that.
And then on top of that he's a complete chaos gremlin. After all, he was tortured and forced to torture people for 200 years, and just about no one maintains much of an ethical backbone after that kind of treatment.
And I think the combo of 'so much of the (guy) community hates Astarion so there's already a background vibe that predisposes people to being suspicious of him' and 'he's camp which hooks into the homophobic folks who don't like that' AND 'he keeps disapproving of me when I do heroic things' (which is a lie, he doesn't always disapprove, and sometimes he actually approves, it depends a lot on context) just kind of turns a lot of folks off him.
He's the only character in the whole story who will actually take you aside privately and comfort you if you do a sexual thing with an NPC later in the game and choose dialogue options that say you were disgusted by doing the thing. He literally takes you aside and starts joking and then is like 'actually... I know what that's like, and I'm so so sorry you had to go through that.'
Dude's fun to meme, hilarious to meme, but he's also the only character who comforts you after you get sexually assaulted/harassed, and in an extremely genuine, 'no strings attached' way. I'm ride or die for that fucker, and I laugh at the folks that turfed him because a bunch of dudes laid a path they walked down.
Like don't get me wrong, some folks just hate him because of the way he looks, the constant disapproval if you're playing a Very Good Character is frustrating, or they have no use for a rogue (they hate loot or maybe they're playing a rogue themselves), or because he can be naff in a battle if you spec him badly / don't know how to spec him out, or for a lot of super understandable reasons! Like, if you never talk your way out of situations, hulk smash a lot in battles, and save people, you're going to get his disapproval AND he won't be as useful in those battles. If you don't sneak around picking off folks, and just go in and smash everyone, he's not as useful as Gale and Wyll who have good AoE, or Lae'zel and Karlach who have amazing 'Hulk Smash' abilities.
I'd avoid him too if I was playing a character who couldn't persuade/deceive/intimidate my way out of situations (which is the best and easiest way to earn his approval), and I might be like 'I don't like Astarion' because of it. He doesn't fit my playstyle! I can't stand Lae'zel for example, because I just don't vibe with 'killing the weak and no one is equal' as a political stance!
But some of it re: Astarion is literally 'a lot of folks are implicitly homophobic and he's easy to hate.'
Frankly I think Dorian (from Dragon Age: Inquisition) would have received a lot more of this too if he'd been more morally questionable as a character when you first meet him. But they made him a 'good' queer so he got more conditional acceptance (and even then, he still got a lot of hate initially!!!)
I am very fortunate that everyone I know personally absolutely love him, and I'm surrounded by a lot of Ride or Die Astarion fans in my personal circle/s both offline and irl and that makes me so incredibly happy.
#hellish-cleric#i have a lot of thoughts about this#and i am absolutely turning off reblogs lmao#because i suspect this fandom could easily be a dumpster fire about this#but a lot of astarion hate is just#latent homophobia#HECK IT'S NOT EVEN LATENT#it's on the surface#i honestly don't get folks who don't earn his approval at all#because you don't have to be a bad / unethical / morally questionable person#to keep his approval decent?#i'm saving everyone#and i'm in Act 2 with Good approval with Astarion#but i did trick the Thorm siblings into killing themselves#in the Shadow-Cursed Lands#and that netted like 8+ approvals from Astarion lmao

Now you may be seeing something right? FGT Ichigo looks kinda a lot like Yhwach.
Now we know Ichigo is a Quincy and all Quincy have Yhwach's blood running in their veins but only Ichigo looks like him to this extent when in his Final Getsuga Tensho.
Both have long dark hair.
Red crimson eyes.
And a handsome fac-
Ahem, I mean this leads me to believe that Ichigo may have been using his Quincy powers while in that state. Hey look, this is just a theory and Kubo may have just thought it's a cool design choice before the Yhwach twist and all but just let me have fun with this one okay!
Now what is Final Getsuga Tensho specifically? Some believe it's Ichigo absorbing all of Zangetsu's powers but I disagree. I think FGT is more of a fusion between them. Getsuga Tensho is a technique using Zangetsu's powers and only Ichigo can call upon the technique, it cannot be used by Zangetsu without its wielder or Ichigo without his weapon. And my proof is this line by Ichigo:
He is fighting with Zangetsu, not using him.
And there's also the fact that Zangetsu was literally fused to his hand.
Now then that we established that, let's get to this point.
Final Getsuga Tensho is not just a final technique. It's also a combination of all of Ichigo's powers. Both Shinigami, Hollow and Quincy. And why is that?
When Ichigo was fighting Zangetsu he was fighting both his Quincy (in Young lad Zangetsu) Hollow/Shinigami (In white Ichigo) in a fused state. And achieving FGT is him basically accepting both powers, and making himself a weapon for a short time, becoming Getsuga itself.
Heck we talked about his design resembling Yhwach why not talk about how his design resembles a Hollow in how the mask wraps around half of his face with little teeth and how the black spirit energy is like his Tensa Zangetsu's Getsuga Tensho (shinigami power) only strengthening my thought about it not just being a final technique/attack but a fusion of all of his powers, both mastered and latent (which is why Ishinn had Ichigo do it, not him. His wouldn't probably match Aizen)
And the nail in the coffin is what Aizen says here.
Aizen here is beyond Quincy, Shinigamis, Hollows and humans, no one can stand up to him. He's on a higher plane than all beings except Ichigo. Who overpowered him with ease, who's on a higher plane than he is.
There's only one being that can be on a higher plane than the Quincy,Hollows,Shinigami:
Yhwach, the Quincy King, the Almighty. He's the only one who could over power aizen that much and without even trying.
Now I am not saying that Ichigo is somehow using the Almighty powers, that's stupid. I am saying that he was using his Quincy powers which are from Yhwach himself. Fusing it with his other abilities to make Aizen look like a joke.
And even then, FGT is probably just an imperfect version of Ichigo's final form he used against Yhwach. Because FGT is used when Ichigo didn't fully realize and unlock his Quincy powers/Blood. And that it's a one shot weapon where he can use it only once and lose all his powers after whereas his final form where he realizes and mastered all of his powers he uses to its fullest potential and doesn't just disappear.
And that it looked like how Zangetsu looks like when he was fighting him for the Final Getsuga Tensho.
And all of this leads me to believe that Ichigo was using his Quincy powers there and that's how he overpowered Aizen that easily, especially in base.
TL;DR FGT is just an imperfect Final form that Ichigo uses against Yhwach in chapter 676.
Good night or Good morning đ.

But remember. That's just a theory, a game theory. Thanks for watching.

Azul-Yutu Thoughts 0.1
Concept stuff for Azul-Yutu as based around @yuri-is-online's world building. Go read their stuff, it's good.
As dictated by canon, this guy is big, brawny, and absolutely has more brain going on than people realize on first look. He's a little salty that people keep having the worst assumptions about him but he's also reluctantly pleased because it means they underestimate him. Much like dear ol' dad Azul, he adores getting the last laugh.
Unlike Azul, however, if shit's going sideways, he's going down with the ship and taking everyone else with him. Azul might bail if the losses are stacking up too high- better to live to plot another day and cut his losses, especially when the losses are a single limb and staying might mean being eaten up by your resident shark mers entirely.
Yutu had fewer choices; upon being dropped into Twisted Wonderland and having the spectacular shit show that is The Bad Future sprung upon him, he didn't have the option to leave. For Yutu, it was stick it out or die and Yuu put too much love into raising him for Yutu to anything less than paddle for his life in this sink-or-swim situation. He's part mer now, call it instinct.
(Yutu is more stubborn than a rock and he loathes being told to sit down and shut up by anyone less than Yuu. If this world wants him dead, by the seas he'll live on in the name of spite alone. He refuses to give up even though he can't really see a way out of this shit situation and his future is bleak.)
Ends up in Savannaclaw for his tenacity and everyone is either nodding their head about their assumptions being proven true or utterly shocked because this is Azul's child, hello?? Yutu ends up a little frustrated again because seriously, what's with all the assumptions when these people don't actually know him.
He ends up getting into a lot of fights his first week and it's a bloody war of attrition that grinds Yutu down a lot. He doesn't let it show on his face but he's really, really tired by the end of it. Still, due to his efforts he gains the respect of the dorm and that lets him set up into chess-maneuvering his way to a better set of circumstances.
Yutu has a really hard time making friends at first, in part because he's too focused on getting used to this new world and in part because he's too used to bullies and always being in guard to get close to others.
Gets his unique magic about a month in when he was mentally envisioning punching one of his more persistent annoyances in Savannahclaw in the face. He was very surprised when a jolt of magic was ripped from him as if he had been punched in the gut and the other guy went tumbling backwards, having been, you know, punched in the face by a tentacle of cosmic magic.
Eventually does end up with friends, to his initial chagrin.
A beefy Savannahclaw second year who kept trying to 'show him his place' but lost every fight is first. Yutu shoving him down into the dirt and listing every way he went wrong about this particular attack and how Yutu would have done it better but hasn't yet because he's so 'benevolent'? Yeah, that kinda dragged out the guy's latent respect for Yutu and now he has a big beefy minion of his very own. Yutu doesn't trust him for a while and has no clue why this guy is following him around but when he reveals he wants to be Yutu's disciple in the way of ass-kicking-through-brain, Yutu kinda goes '!!!' Then he puts the guy through hell to see if he really means it, finally achieving mutual respect after three weeks. The pair play Guess Who using the students around them as characters as practice reading people. It's fun. :) To simplify, let's call him Sav.
The next two minions are a pair of siblings: one a second year, one first year, both hummingbird beastmen from Heartslabyul. They're tricksy and annoying and have a grand old time rules-lawyering the heck out of Heartslabyul's many rules. They'd gotten bored and had decided to make Yutu their next mark for a prank, which ended poorly for all involved. (Mutually assured destruction, plus a couple cauldrons as collateral damage. Crewel wasn't pleased.) Second year wanted to be done with the mess but first year has gotten it into his head that the incident made him and Yutu friends now. Second year tagged along to keep his younger sibling out of trouble (he didn't trust Yutu not to fling his brother into another wall) and ended up being the reluctant voice of reason. He 100% hates his life, he wants to go back to playing pranks and slacking off now. (No he doesn't, he's just going grey from worry over Yutu and company.) We'll call the first year Fior and the second year Thrush.
The last of the group is an excitable mousy-looking guy, very short and nerdy, a first year from Ignihyde. Thinks Yutu has main character energy; wants to be part of his 'five man band' and he's already specced himself into the role of white mage so he's perfect for them! C'mon, pleeeaaassseee? Yutu is deeply weirded out that this guy is literally asking to be used and that in the literal apocalypse he thinks his life is too boring. Still, he's not one to look a gift horse in the mouth so he takes him on. The hero worship for Yutu between this guy and Sav is something the Heartslabyul first year, Fior, finds very funny. We'll call this guy Morry.
First time they run into an overblot monster is on a field trip that their combat and field first aid professor has planned. It was supposed to be a jaunt down to the abandoned dwarf mines for training against the penned up blot monster inside (it'd been weakened considerably by time since Yuu and company had last fought it).
However, it'd rained a lot the night before, which had weakened the rock blocking it into the cave. Agitated by the presence of the school group, it breaks through the barrier and goes on the attack. The professor is quick to drop the rocks on the monster's head and it squishes into multiple puddles. Thinking that the problem is solved, the professor turns his back only for the puddles to rise up into several miniature blot monsters, one of which jumps him to knock him out. This hydra-like effect is how the blot monster had kept reappearing, despite Yuu and company killing it twice years prior (once in the prologue, once at Vargas camp).
The students split off to fight and Yutu grabs his first year friends, Morry and Fior, to run for the treeline where they can't get attacked from behind. He then starts fighting back, mind caught halfway between panic mode and being tactical. He thinks he'll have to convince his buddies to do what he says but nope, Fior and Morry are actually worryingly eager to take his orders. Morry in particular is treating this like a video game and Yutu like the one with the controller, which Fior finds funny.
The three settle into a rough pattern of Yutu staying stationary and acting like a turret, calling attention to himself, Fior running in to backstab at close range, and Morry covering his retreat while Yutu sets up the next big blast. It works surprisingly well but Yutu knows the monster will come back if it's not destroyed properly, and hit and run tactics won't work for that.
He gets Fior to jab it full of flora magic while he and Morry pin it (Yutu tests the limit of his cosmic magic tentacles and finds out the hard way that it's based on his physical strength.) Then, using the flora magic as a wick, he sets the monster alight, upping the temperature with wind magic from Morry such that the monster burns down to almost nothing.
It's a very cool moment... And then Yutu, Morry, and Fior look around and realize that there's a lot more monsters and not all of their classmates are faring as well as they did. NRC attitude strikes again and way too many people are trying to solo their own personal bosses, which is going poorly. The trio's hearts sink and fear begins to catch up with Yutu and Fior as they realize this isn't a climactic battle, it's a war of attrition. They blew a lot of their power and hyped themselves up when they weren't even close to done.
Morry convinces Yutu and Fior to keep going, giving them a transfusion of magic with his Unique Magic, which is themed around Tantalus. It gives his power to others, thus fulfilling their needs, but it can never heal or replenish all the way- it's never enough. Worse yet, using it is addictive for both the receivers and the caster, so it's something Morry has to be very careful with.
It does give Yutu and idea though and he gets Morry and Fior on board with it quickly: they aggro all the monsters by running by and slinging spells at them, then shout taunts at the other students about how they're gonna kill the monsters before they will and other insults about being weak. They then converge so all the monsters are herded together and the enraged students cast their spells at the same target.
That much magic all together is enough to explode the blot monsters properly and Morry collapses with a cheer. Fior and Yutu share a look, then Yutu admits to being displeased with the results as that was way too close for comfort. Fior gives a little bit of a lore dump, explaining that blot monsters are a serious threat that they all train to defeat. As students, they aren't supposed to be fighting the monsters, but as living beings in a world out to kill them, they'll likely have to. Fior admits that he's glad Yutu was with him and at this point, Yutu blows his top and demands to know why Fior and Morry were so eager to follow him.
See, Yutu knows he's not well liked. He's got several latent self esteem issues compounded on the fact that his rise to prominence in Savannahclaw marked him as a threat, not a friend. People do what he says because he gives them no other choice, what made Morry and Fior follow his plans? They nearly died!
At this point, Morry sits up and points out that they didn't die. And that, in this world? When things go to shit like this? That's impressive. Yutu already has their trust by proving that he refuses to go down without a fight; Sav's dominance battles, out-pranking Fior and Thrush, putting up with transferring into NRC late? It grinds a person down and each and every time, Yutu has risen to the challenge.
Yutu points out angrily that he still nearly got them killed by not seeing the big picture, Morry calmly replies that he trusts Yutu to do better next time. And, if things go south again... Well, Morry has his magic. He wants to help, more than anything, and Yutu is his ticket to do that. Either Yutu screws up and Morry can make himself useful or Yutu succeeds and everyone gets out unscathed. Here Fior breaks in and points out that following Yutu led to the best possible outcome- no one dying- so he's gonna keep doing that, sorry if that's not what Yutu wants to hear.
And... (here Fior gets a little shy) Fior finds Yutu interesting. Pranking Yutu, getting pranked by Yutu, having the chance to fight by his side- it's the most fun he's had in a while. It feels nice to have something to enjoy, especially when death is a constant risk. So (and now Fior firms up, smiling) he's gonna keep following Yutu's orders. He trusts Yutu too, yeah? Morry cheers and Fior hauls him to his feet, steadying the Ignihyde student when he wobbles, laughing.
Yutu's mind is a mess at that moment, caught up how his parent, Yuu, suffered growing up and how Yutu couldn't do anything to solve the problem. His mitigation only went to far, and when they traveled to Twisted Wonderland only for his parent to die? He sat with them for what felt like trauma-packed ages doing nothing while the healers were trying everything they could to keep Yuu alive. Yutu... He's never felt like enough, not ever. And now he's being given the trust of these two? People are relying on him again? He's terrified.
However, and here Yutu is too grim and smart not to admit it, he needs their strength still. If Fior and Morry are so eager to do his bidding, he's not in any place to refuse. Yutu wants to survive, even if he doesn't have much to survive for other than spite and remembrance of his parent's love, and to do that he needs allies, people who can help him navigate this new world. He can only hope that he can be enough this time and they won't regret trusting him.
Someone conjures some ice water to dump on the professor and he wakes up with a splutter, hurrying everyone back to the castle where Crewel is waiting, thoroughly pissed off. Thrush and Sav are also there and they descend in the first year trio with a lot of worry. Thrush is darting around his younger brother looking frantically for injuries, Sav is vibrating in place trying to respect Yutu's space, and Morry is off to the side, looking on with a small smile.
Yutu explains what had happened and Sav calms down while Thrush froths up, furious that Fior didn't just run or climb a tree to go hide. Fior starts rising to his brother's challenge, arguing that Yutu knew what he was doing and Thrush grits out that it's not Yutu's judgement he distrusts, it's Fior's for going along with what Yutu planned. Surely Fior could have come up with a better idea? Something that wouldn't put him on the front lines?
Fior laughs back that Thrush should just come with next time, Thrush shouts that there should be no next time, but it's obvious that he's not turning down the whole 'coming with them' idea. Sav decides to funnel his energy into fussing over Morry, which seems to surprise the Ignihyde student... And Yutu begins to think.
This is a world where death is out to get them, blot monsters are roaming the world at large, and his parent lies dead with an empty grave at their side. His dad is still out there somewhere and Yutu has minions now. Friends. Or something. If... If he can get stronger. Smarter maybe, better prepared... Maybe he could do something.
Yutu's not sure what that something is, just yet, but the thought is there, niggling. Maybe he has hope for his future yet.
Maybe more to come as time and inspiration allow...

*Flies through your window*
OCTA I HAVE YET ANOTHER WIP IDEA! THIS ON IS INSPIRED BY ALL THE WORLDLESS EXPERIMENT-RELATED AUS.
*Pulls out notebook*
OKAY SO:
In the not-too-distant future, a group of researchers discover a massive graveyard under the thick ice of Antarctica, which had been mostly thawed due to climate change. Within this burial are thousands, if not millions, of strange creatures of varying appearances, and with a composition similar to that of stars and nebulae.
As such, they were dubbed "Starfolk".
They have yet to know how the heck they got there, or how they acted and what made them extinct in the first place, but they do know this:
They're oddly... compatible... with some earth species.
Some that appear like birds share a similar DNA structure to herons and storks. Some appear like armadillos and has compatible DNA to earth armadillos.
Thus... began a strange trend of... reviving these creatures... through their earthly counterparts. To do this, they would simply inject the DNA of the Starfolk into a compatible animal. This new strain overrides the previous and becomes the new genetic material, resulting in the creature transforming (in an admittedly excruciating way) into this new creature, essentially bringing it back from extinction.
But for the ones that are only compatible with primates and humans...
Well... here's where things get a little dirty...
Scientists would essentially either trick or kidnap people and use them to experiment on. They turned them into various Starfolk: Seraphs, Wizards, Stalkers, and even managed to revive a massive Angel and a Demon.
And then there where... the Hunters.
Two classmates, kidnapped during a night in the woods. They were experimented on, and changed into... what the scientists called the Hunter and Huntress.
But what they don't realize... is that all Starfolk have a latent power, one that those taking on their new forms don't even realize they have. Power that, once mastered, could pose a threat to all of society.
It doesn't help that those who have changed seem to take on a completely different behavior, many of which violent...
Perhaps there's a very good reason why the Starfolk were down there in the first place, miles deep under a layer of ice...
Aka: An AU where two college students get turned into Starfolk. Being locked in a secret facility is the least of their problems though. Fighting off transformed creatures, keeping their new primal urges at bay, and hopefully find a balance in their new forms and return to a normal life...
Somehow...
Aka: aka: Two kids are turned into Edda and Aven. All hell breaks lose.
OH MY GOOODDDDDDDDD
THIS IS GOOD-
I love how horrifying this entire concept is

Ok but! what if Shiragami Shinichi is the closest that prime (canonverse) Shin has ever come to consciously tapping into the latent shinagami instinct/power that nearly every conan/shin has? Like maybe he has to lean into that feral unhingedness to even attempt to control it! would shinigami conan would be proud or annoyed that he didnt commit?I havent watched death note but heck it would work for a Bleach universe too
I have never seen bleach but this seems like a really cool idea! Into the supernatural shinichi-verse
Shinichi: i hope this doesnât awaken anything in me
It does, in fact, awake latent death god superpowers

Voyager rewatch s5 ep11: Latent Image
Another Doctor episode, which was fine for the first half when it was a mystery to be solved, but once the truth was revealed, it kind of fell apart.
Knowing the reveal at the end, I wasn't especially excited for this one, since even back when I first saw it I thought the the Doctor went pretty over the top with his reaction, but I hoped maybe it would improve on rewatch. It didn't really.
The mystery of who erased the Doctor's memories worked well, but there's a lot of stuff here that doesn't make sense, and the revelation that he'd had a breakdown over having to chose which crew member to save, when he ony had time to save one, didn't make a whole lot of sense either. His big deal is that he's somehow a terrible person for choosing his friend over an ensign he didn't know as well, and it sends him into a downward spiral that's so extreme that it necessitates his memory of the event being wiped. But that seems a drastic step to take before just, like, actually talking to him. Maybe if someone would have sat him down and just told him that doesn't make him a monster, it just makes him human, it might have given him some perspective and calmed him down eventually. Someone should have told him that as soon as he started yelling and trashing stuff. And someone should have explained that sometimes all the choices you have are bad ones, but you still have to chose, so that that situation isn't made worse by inaction. I mean, what else could he have done in that situation? Chosen to let his friend die so he could feel fair and impartial?? That's absurd, especially with Tom in the room at the time- Harry is his best friend, was the Doctor really supposed to have let Tom's best friend die in front of him when he could save him?? How would that have been better?? It wouldn't. And the fact that the Doctor is so upset about the other ensign's death proves that he knows her life has as much value as Harry's, but when there's nothing to tip the scales but your personal feelings, everyone will try to save the people they love most. it's still sad, but it's not immoral, it's just reality.
The whole thing about Janeway being like 'he's just a computer, not a person, we had to reprogram him' felt weird and wrong for this late in the series too. We've been past that for a while, they all think of him as a part of the crew, and as a friend, and I don't believe for a second no one would have tried to reason with him, or talk to him about it before just giving up and altering his program. Janeway did end up just talking to him and being there to support him as the ultimate resolution of the episode anyway, so it feels contrived to have her suddenly go back to early season one 'the doctor isn't a person' thinking, just so she can 'overcome' it later on in the ep. It's yet another case of ignoring years worth of character development and changing the characters to suit whatever the plot of the week is, rather than making the stories fit the characters, as any good show should. It's so frustrating!
And I hate how yet again, we have Seven coming and telling Janeway she's wrong, and having it be framed as though she has the moral highground, and Janeway is so bad. Stop pitting female characters against each other all the time! Stop using Seven to undermine Janway's authority! I want to tear my hair out every time they do this!!
And still, throughout the entire episode, no one ever actually says to the doctor that he's not a bad person for chosing to save a friend over an acquaintance, which seems like it should have been a central theme, but it was just overlooked. All in all, an episode that was trying to be deep and thoughtful, but didn't really know what the heck it was trying to say.
Tl;dr: An episode that was all about the Doctor, but it didn't give him much to do except yell a lot. It didn't seem to know what it was trying to say, and mischaracterized Janeway to boot. It took the whole episode to get where it should have been in the first place, and ended up being kind of pointless, ultimately.

Alright, with the timeline clarification question out of the way, its time to start getting my thoughts on the StarSwap AU.
For starters, Star Swap Phantom Blood undergoes a complete tonal shift.Â
Like, regular Phantom Blood is probably the most serious of the JoJo parts. I donât think it has any sections of it that are intentionally played for laughs.Â
And that all changes with Jolyne arrives because she is officially done with this before it even starts.
While the whole âhaving to adapt to life as a Victorian gentlemenâ, sucks, the one things she is fully prepared for is Dioâs Bullshit. She doesnât even bother tolerating him.Â
Dio: (says some thinly veiled insult)
Jolyne: Alright, sure, fuck you too.
Dio: wha- you canât just say things like that!
Jolyne: Watch me. (Flips Dio off while walking away)
The first fight against Vampire Dio is going to be less about âOh no! My brotherâs become a monster!â and more âHeck yeah! I can finally punch this asshole without without anyone complaining about it anymore!â
Dio: I have rejected my humanity, JoJo!
Jolyne: Alright cool but are you a stand user? (Summons Stone Free)
Dio: A stand what? (Doesnât notice)
(Stone Free Punches him in the face)
And the whole initial Zeppeli interaction goes differently. Because he still shows up and punches Jolyne in the stomach, activating her latent hamon potential (Yaaay hamon-user Jolyne is the best), but rather that being shocked, Jolyne just punches Zeppili back and sends him flying.
And then the final Fight against Dio is going to be much less dramatic, because Jolyne does not give him the opportunity to be dramatic.
Dio: I can freeze your blood!
Jolyne: Okay but what is my blood was string?
Dio: (irratated WRYYYYYY)
Dio: I can shoot pressurized fluid from my eyes!Â
Jolyne: Okay, now I know youâre just trying to show off (deflects space ripper stingy eyes with Stone Free)
Dio: (infuriated WRYYYYYY)
This isnât to say that the fights arenât going to be challenging for her, they definitely are.Â
But having a stand gives Jolyne a much more level playing field against Dio compared to what Jonathan had to deal with.
RJHBFHJDRBFHBHVD Y E A H -
Jolyne is 110% D O N E with every single aspect of Dio's Bullshit. Honestly what he's doing is almost nothing compared to Literal Prison and he's not even a Stand User so dealing with him is easy
the time period? honestly sucks ass. At the very least she has a good status, but she really misses her old body. She misses being able to be Jolyne and a she, but this is possibly one of the single worst time periods for those feelings to exist in
so Dio ends up being a good outlet for all these frustrations. She isn't fooled by his Playing Nice attitude, she knows he's plotting some shit. Plus, even him playing nice doesn't make him kind. In the beginning she thinks Jonathan would've been incredibly gullible and stupid to believe it........ but then she learns and experiences exactly Jonathan had to live his life and realises Dio's "change" was probably the kindest thing the guy had ever experienced
but she doesn't have time to deal with All That, so she decides to spend her time getting back at Dio and making a nice life Jonathan could maybe return to :D
and to make things even funnier, what if as the months/years go by, Jolyne slowly perfects the art of subtly telling Dio to Fuck Off in public and various explicit Fuck Offs to tell him when nobody else is around. It throws Dio off completely because not only is Jonathan acting VERY different, but he's also actually pushing back and noticing what he's doing which is a mix of confusing, freaky and frustrating. Plus....... there's all the strange supernatural things happening around his 'brother.' Dio could've sworn he's seen objects float, he trips on apparently nothing almost daily, things seem to move with no one there to move them
If Dio had a new sudden interest in stories of the supernatural...... well that's nobodies business
(and if Jolyne took extra care to specifically fuck around with his super natural stuff, that's nobodies business either :3)
but also YEAH Jolyne is going so happy to finally have an excuse to finally be able to get Dio in trouble for all the shit he's pulled over the years. Sure it's not for everything, and honestly most of the things he did are likely to stay unknown for the rest of their lives, but at least this one would get Dio locked up for a good while, if not for the rest of his life
I think it would be funny for Speedwagon to be a bit surprised by Jolyne's reaction. After all, as far as he's aware this is Jolyne's brother, sure there are some conflicting feelings there.......... but then she quickly explains All The Shit Dio's Pulled Over The Years and his surprise becomes "oh yeah never mind that makes sense fuck that guy"
(it's also entirely possible that while the mansion burns down, George might not die. Jolyne doesn't have the same honour code as Jonathan and wouldn't be lured as easily. And even if she was, she'd at least have the abilities to redirect the knife safely)
I do think Jolyne would be a bit more secretive with her Stand though, just in general. She's absolutely going to use it whenever she can, but Stone Free is one card she aims to keep as close to her chest as possible. She's going to be going all out when the mansion starts burning down. Using SF to make holes around Dio's attacks to avoid getting injured, climbing the walls to get out of reach, anything she can do to take this guy down she pulls out every trick she has because she knows that only one of them is walking away from this fight
as a result, while she's still definitely going to have to spend some time in the hospital, she's going to be way less injured than Jonathan was, which is nice. She's immediately on edge when Zeppeli shows up tho, she's gotten blindsided by too much Bullshit Shenanigans to let herself get caught off guard that easily. Unfortunately with her injuries Zeppeli still manages to punch her, and while it does wind her she immediately decks him right back
also, Stone Free is going to be ridiculously compatible with Hamon. Kinda like with Joseph and Hermit Purple, Stone Free's reach and dexterity is now going to be given an extra punch
and dhrbghvdbhvbd the "what if my blood was string" definitely got a laugh out of me, and given the fact most of the people present know Stone Free exists she probably wouldn't be too secretive about it at the moment. The fight is made a bit difficult in how Dio is ow consciously aware of SF, and how while he can't see the Stand he's still strong enough to rip them with relative ease if Jolyne's not careful
#srjbhfhrbfv there's so much untouched insanity#star swap#jjba#jojoâs bizarre adventure#phantom blood#jjba part 1#jjba jolyne#jolyne kujo#stone free#jjba dio#dio brando#jjba speedwagon#robert e.o. speedwagon#jjba george#george joestar#jjba zeppeli#will zeppeli#sb answers#artbyfinnbrown

Shinkane/Fredegami Analysis
[Disclaimer: The views & opinions expressed on this post does not necessarily reflect the PPC's character represention]. đ€
Now let's delve into...
Shinkane
Season 1 shows us the obvious reasons that lead us to think any romantic possibilities of Shinya x Akane. As mentioned in my previous post From Shinkane to ShizuAka.
And the release of ćć Žç PSYCHO-PASSă”ă€ăłăăč fueled our interest even more. đâ€ïžâđ„
Fredegami
It all started in this scene from Psycho Pass: Sinners of the System 3.
Where Frederica openly flirts with Kogami (as described in the novels) and expresses her interest about him. Kogami was indeed mesmerized by this beauty.
The Comparison:
As hurtful as it may sound. Shinkane is one-sided. Let's face it and be honest.
The showcase of Shinya x Frederica is intentional for Psycho-Pass Providence movie.
The Story Debunked:
After the events of 1st Movie. Kogami seemed to step away further from Akane & the whole Div. 1 as advised by Ginoza.
The latter did that for the sake of Akane, seeing how Kou's influence affected her deeply. And as he explained further in the boat scene from PPP. He wants to prevent Akane from being a latent criminal which Kou fell into.
Kogami met Frede in Tibet-Himalaya Kingdom, after she cases for him (probably after the events of SS3 where she was first introduced). Akane might have initiated it to help bring back Kogami since she wasn't successful in SEAUn.
Kou begins to ease-up (not necessarily open up) with Frede seeing how dedicated she is to her work in MoFA and how she is a potential good leader judging by how she work as girl boss.
In PPP, Kou still care for Akane but it's obvious he starts to give Frederica a chance. Thinking about how she was used by Yabuki to intentionally lie (Saiga's ultimate downfall).
In Kogami's head, Frederica is amazingly tough but also a soft woman from the inside. Which is why he sided with her after Yabuki's death.
Being with her in the dark room, tagging her along the rescue mission. Wearing the same coat. Plus and the most striking, is the fact that he let Frederica say out loud "ME AND KOGAMI WILL JOIN AKANE TSUNEMORI"
Also, [I believe] the events of PP3 Manga; (the Hotpot, & the Gun sparring) happened before Akane's release and the events of Psycho Pass 3 and before Azusawa-kun introduction and the BiFrost. Which shows a somewhat sweet interaction between the two.
But the events of FI happened, and Kou realized that Frede isn't as fragile as he thinks she is.
So he somehow wants to mend his connection with Akane by picking her up from the Tokorozawa Correction Center.
The Ship Analysis
Kogami & Frederica might've feel some spark after the events of SS3.
They might've gave it a try which leads to their closeness in PPP movie and Few chapters from PP3 Manga (which again I believe happened before the BiFrost narrative).
But during and amidst the BiFrost incident, Kogami might've realized Frederica is similar to his ideals. Accepting bribe for the sake of Justice.
Note: There's one thing that the online translator failed to translate which not all fans (who upload their copy of the manga/novel) easily realized. It is about the tone.
In the Season 3, after Kou beat the heck up from Kei, he received the instructions from Frede to let Azusawa-kun escape to which he obliges BUT with a tired (and almost fed-up) tone.
So eventually they slowly and silently fell apart. And intend not to pursue any chances of relational progress. They've kept their professional closeness but slip through any possibility of building a solid chemistry.
Therefore, Kogami gradually re-establish his Season 1 connection with Akane. By showing up in a car and let her decide where to eat just like the old times.
Because deep inside, Kogami longs to have a solid source of affection eventhough he can't explicitly admit it to himself. That's one thing Frederica called him off during their conversation about the Cigarette puff (where it conveys too much love or less affection received from childhood).
At one point, he might've think that Frede was the one. Same age, badass beauty but soft and tender inside. I think that's the type woman Kou likes. But he finally realized Frede is a well-established woman who doesn't need his protection.
P.S
The views/opinions expressed on this post are based from what I read from the Manga/Novel and anime SS3/FI/PPP source materials. With the characters's perspective in mind. You may take it with a grain of salt to which you are very much welcome đ.
All in all, let's just wait for Season 4 shall we? đđ„°đđ€ It might have more revelations.

HILBERT PICKED ONE HECK OF A TIME TO DROP HIS TRAGIC BACKSTORY (or my reaction to Episodes 25-26 of Wolf359).
First off I would like to welcome any newcomers to my reactions, courtesy of my poll about Blessie's name, as well as my post about my unhinged yet, apparently shockingly plausible theory that Blessie was created with DNA from Reneé Minkowski.
You can click the links to view the posts, but in the meantime, I'm gonna get right to the reaction, because I've been studying all day, and want to reward myself with a little treat. Sorry for ranting so much about Blessie, but I find the character extremely compelling. I hope Blessie makes it to the end. He deserves it. If not, you best believe Iâll be writing some crack fic.
Tagging the mutuals who got me invested in this, and if you want to be tagged or untagged from these posts, lmk, or you can follow my blog or simply follow the tag "#bods wolf359 reactions". Anyone who has followed me for a while knows my updates are inconsistent, so I apologize in advance for that and for any spelling/grammar mistakes in my posts. Especially in this one because it is late, and I am tired.

Episode 25: Lame-O Superhero Origin Story
Oh right they are going to Hilbert for help. Bad idea. BAD IDEA.
Hilbert don't try to play therapist. You are NOT in the same boat. You treated him like a science experiment.
Also. This is the same voice actor talking to himself. Pretty incredible. Pure talent. Honestly.
And yeah Hilbert, don't shame him for working with Hera and Minkowski. It's called friendship, something YOU wouldn't understand.
"Ever met anyone who could get things done on their own" "only Lovelace"
...so NOT Cutter then? Hm. I wonder what Hilbert and others have helped Cutter with along the way then. And I wonder what it is about Isabel Lovelace that makes Hilbert so terrified.
Besides, you know, the huge bomb.
Lovelace. Lovelace. You need to be reasonable.
Yeah. HILBERT DOESN'T FEEL GUILT. It's creepy. "Latent, it can be controlled. I've made vast improvements since last round off full scale trials"
...
...
...
Hilbert.
Hilbert.
What happened the last round of trials?
"Command classified you as expendable and gave you exposure samples before I even knew your name"
Oh my gosh I hate Cutter and command so much. And Doug is NOT expendable. Would else is gonna make jokes to lighten the mood?
"They gave orders to terminate your life at Christmas"
^That line is so messed up. Especially since it's also his birthday! I love how hard they rub in how evil command is, like, this could not have waited 24 hours for their evil plans, they couldn't even have that decency, oh no, it had to be on Doug and Jesus's birthday when Minkowski had made them a nice dinner. There was no other way to do this.
They are the worst. They're the worst.
"I did not ask for this hand Eiffel, but I will play it through to the end. For your sake as much as mine."
Hilbert...what hand are you playing? Why do you want to "radically improve human life". And what does radically improve human life mean for you? Does he have a family member that's like...dying of cancer or severely disabled and he's doing this for them or something, because while that's very sad, it does not excuse murder.
"How did they go?" "Slowly..." Oh...huh. Hilbert kinda liked them, but killed them anyway. Why? Hilbert dude, what is your game here?
"What did all that niceness accomplish? You have chance to make a contribution to humanity?"
Hilbert. Two problems with your logic.
So far your contribution has been mostly murder of humanity, so unless that viruses ends up saving millions, you're not really proving your point. Your point only works if there is payoff, and right now, I am really not seeing it, you are MILES aways from Earth and all the people you plan to hypothetically save or sorry "improve" (geez the tmbs comparisons with that one)
Do you HONESTLY believe CUTTER, Mr. "I'll throw you off this building Rachel" is gonna use it for good? Really? You think you get out of this alive? You think you get what you want? You think anything good comes out of this? You're a fool.
EXACTLY! CALL HIM OUT DOUG.
"We can do better"
THERE IS NO WE HERE HILBERT YOU DON'T HAVE A VIRUS IN YOUR BLOODSTREAM. AT LEAST NOT THAT I KNOW OF.
Right! No consent! That's why it's wrong!
Hilbert: "I'm asking you now. At least believe that all I want is positive results".
...are they trying to make Hilbert sympathetic? Because he's still very misguided, and it's gonna take a lot.
Lovelace, Minkowski, you need to work together. There is a middle ground here. One that won't get everyone killed.
"Decima is my life's work but I don't like it." THEN WHY ARE YOU DOING IT.
HILBERT... sister? Why does she need antiradiation meds?
"Ah! Look Monitor! This conversation not productive!"
Hilbert. THIS IS THE ONLY DECENT THING YOU HAVE EVER SAID. But also me when I'm trying to avoid a conversation.
Olga. Nice name.
Aw she had cats.
Oh. He lost his other siblings to radiation poison. He doesn't even remember them.
...
Not that I feel bad for him. He's still an idiot.
When he was four? That's sad.
Huh. Looks like they both have families they'd rather forget. What happened to yours Doug?
Good question. What is his real name. Dmitri what now?
Yeah I wouldn't trust him either. But yeah, he does at least feel like a real person now. Yeah, maybe Doug will "come around". But you know what Hilbert? Maybe you will too. We'll see.
Oh we're getting Lovelace's backstory too I love this!
"Imagine losing him slowly, so he knows there's no hope. Do it four times."
Oh my. Yeah. That would break you.
And yeah: Minkowski DOES care about Lovelace. But we're forgetting the plant monster. Blessie matters too.
Oops. They fixed the ship. Well at least Lovelace trust them now.
More aggressively? What...no, please you guys have trust now, we do not need to pull out the knock out gas! This is a fragile situation. YOU ARE NOT THE ENEMY COMMAND IS. CUTTER IS.
Oh no. NO. NO NO NO NO NO.
DOUG!
HILBERT. I DO NOT FEEL BAD AT ALL. I DON'T CARE WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR SISTER. YOU ARE MURDERING A MAN. YOU MURDERED SO MANY MEN. I HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT TO YOU HILBERT. I HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT.
...but something tells me it wasn't.
Episode 26: Do No Harm
Oh and this episode title. "Do no harm" yeah, they BETTER do no harm. Eiffel can't die now! It's the middle of season two! Not even a season finale! We never got to find out his big secret about his family.
Hilbert you have explaining to do. Lovelace has to recognize the symptoms. Okay it sounds like she's being helpful. This is good. Crisis brings people together.
They better save Eiffel.
Anti-viral agent? Yeah it better work. And Hilbert she does make a point. How can they trust you?
Lovelace please calm down. I know you lost people but EIFFEL IS DYING. Hera please watch her so she doesn't do anything rash.
Oh gosh these gasping sounds... good voice acting but geez...
Ah. So his immune system is reacting to something else, which consequently also leads to it attacking the virus? Then what is this "something else"?
Hera called him her best friend đ„ș
Yeah Hera. Call her out...but also, that was a bit harsh. She lost everyone, and she just wants to help you too.
I also love that Hera is willing to acknowledge that Lovelace's plan leaves her behind, but is okay with it, because it will save Doug and Minkowski.
"No one should have to live through that" Hera knows because that's her life. "And you shouldn't do the same to anyone else" GOOD POINT HERA.
"Fear is the only language you listen to you" "you need a better dictionary" oh boy.
I guess they're not getting along anytime soon.
LUNG COLLAPSED?
That's very serious. Hilbert. This is your ONE shot at MAYBE getting any semblance of...well maybe not redemption arc but something.
Oh boy. What do you have to say Hera.
Yikes. Well Hilbert, now you have motivation. I hope you're thinking long and hard about this Hilbert.
INTERNAL BLEEDING?
GIVE HIM YOUR OWN BLOOD THEN.
Oh great they don't have the right blood.
...Lovelace? Please. LOVELACE.
WHAT IS HER BLOOD TYPE?
I don't even know my blood type I should look that up.
...unusual radiological signals from the star? What does that mean?
Hera. Lovelace. Please get along.
"Don't you dare say I don't care about you. I don't say it because I can't" Oh my goodness.
Oh dear someone hug her good lord. And you CAN be there for them. Right now. BY GIVING BLOOD RIGHT NOW.
"The dumbest person I've met, admittedly it's a small sample size" đ
"Four other people on this station" WHAT ABOUT BLESSIE!
...does...does Blessie have the blood for the job?
YES LOVELACE HAS THE BLOOD FOR IT!
Doug is the one thing holding them together. Maybe they can move forward together from here.
Fair enough. Lovelace is not getting along with Hilbert, but "a man's life is at stake, that is above all else, on this we agree". Huh. Seems Hilbert's coming around. He was trying to kill them earlier. I guess talking about his sister struck a nerve. But I've still keep a gun on him. Just in case.
29%. Those are rough odds, but you don't have any other options so... oh. Doug doesn't want to leave her? 2.7 years left?
"Don't you want to go home?" oh please tell me they don't split up the team. Minkowski is gonna have to go back, she has a husband.
And uh. What happened. That was not a good sound.
Tell me Hilbert didn't open the door.
Tell me the aliens didn't show up.
WHAT.
Well that...is not supposed to happen. SHOCKWAVE?
ALIENS? TIME LOOP? PORTAL?
UGH... it's super late guys and I gotta get to bed, but MAN I hope I can listen to more soon. Thanks for reading!

Hello hello hello please give me more VT Iâm literally starving for it
1, Morro. I wanna know more about what his situation is. Youâve mentioned in a post before about how he takes over Kai instead of Lloyd but something is curious about
Does Kai happen to learn anything about Morro while their sharing a body? I can only imagine so.
But on the topic of things about Morro is how is his upbringing in this au? Is he still taken in by Wu? Perhaps as a newly deemed master somewhere between training with Chen and the venom fully corrupting him, he took in Morro for his first attempt at ruining the prophecy. Only hitches in his plan was A, he wasnât as well versed in his manipulation as he is now, and B, Morro is a lot more spiteful then Kai.
This would connect Kai and Morro even more so itâs interesting. But obvi if you have a different idea Iâm literally always looking for fresh crumbs of brainrot.
And does Morro get some redemption? đ if so then that would be freaking awesome to get some wojira duo content maan. :0 maybe Morro grew his horns and scales at some point? (Either in his time with Wu or the years in the cursed realm. Or heck maybe if he turns human again)
2. Does Cole still become a ghost? And if so, does it happen to worsen his latent codependency issues? Itâs prob a traumatic situation, especially the whole âfading awayâ sitch.
3. Does Nyas role in Skybound change because of her independence? And maybe with her previous knowledge of tiger widows?
Sorry this is long but Iâm restraining myself from dumping all of the blorbs I cooked up in my brain during my 2 hour binge of the au anyway have an awesome day/afternoon/night đđ
I'm glad you're enjoying this! And no worries about long asks, I love having an excuse to ramble about this au! Questions have actually been really helpful for me developing this au, so don't feel shy in asking any!
Starting with Morro, this post (hopefully the link works) goes into more detail, but the basics are:
Wu came home early from training under Chen, while Garm and Misako were working together to hide the Golden Weapons. He finds Morro and takes him in, and this actually helps stabilize him against the Venom. Bc he believes he's the Dark Lord in the Prophecy, and he suspects that Morro might be the Green Ninja, he tried to hide the Prophecy from Morro.
Morro still discovered the Prophecy, and accidentally triggered a Venom episode. Wu scared him away, and later regretting this and asking Misako and Garmadon to help him search for Morro once they're back, despite him being upset they've started dating.
Morro, who knew nothing about the Venom, believed that Wu's episode was caused bc he was so unworthy of being the Green Ninja that even asking about it was a massive insult. He then decided that if he could prove that he was worthy of being the Green Ninja by doing something like finding the FSM's Tomb, than Wu would want him to come home.
And the he died.
For the possession, there are a lot of risks involved with possession, both for the Host and the Spirit (fun fact for this au, Misako is immune to possession bc her IronDragon tattoos technically count as a possession on a very small scale and immunize her from other Spirits.). One of these risks is that if the Host and the Spirit are too similar, they can start to...merge.
Kai, at first, fights hard against Morro, so most of Morro's energy is spent keeping him under control, and almost none is being used to separate their memories. So when the two start to see what the other went through bc of Wu, they start to sympathize with each other, and realize that theyâre more similar than they are different.
And after that they quickly start to blend together. Pretty soon they break away from the Preeminent's plan in favor of trying to find Wu, who at this point has escaped from jail and has completely disappeared (for now).
Morro does get redeemed, but rn the details of his redemption are up in the air until I get the chance to rewatch Possession and get all the fine tuning done.
An idea I'm playing with is having Kai and Morro being unable to separate after the Preeminent is defeated even though they both want to, and since I've rearranged a few seasons (more on that later) and DotD comes directly after Possession, have them find a way to separate during all that. Possibly by using the Yin Blade or the Rift of Return?
But that's just a possibility. Morro might still die (again) at the end of Possession and then be brought back to Ninjago by Yang where he helps the ninja and then is able to stick around. Or maybe he doesnât die and doesnât get stuck to/in Kai.
Regardless, Morro will join the main cast during DotD at the latest.
As for Morro's Dragon heritage, he initially looks completely human as a ghost, since he died completely human, but since Kai is not only also part dragon but also descended from the same dragon as Morro, once they're separate Morro has his own Draconic heritage on full display.
And those traits stay if he does get back to being alive. Iâm 90% set on him being revived by the Rift of Return, but thereâs that last 10% that kinda wantâs to keep him as a ghost, but he possesses a mannequin of himself someone helped him steal from the museum purely bc I can be funny with that. But Morro is probably getting a body again.
As for Cole, he might still become a ghost, but he might not. The ghost stuff is going to go a bit different from cannon off the bat, since no one knows where FSM's staff is. Wu hid it somewhere after forging the Mega Weapon.
But if someone is going to get turned into a ghost, it'll be whoever I end up shipping with Kai.
And Skybound is waaaaaay different.
I'm shuffling some of the seasons, so after Wu and Chen it goes Possession -> Day of the Departed -> Hands of Time -> The Island -> Seabound -> Skybound -> Sons of Garmadon
I did this partially bc I didn't want to shelve the drama that will come from Ray and Maya being rescued from Krux by having then disappear for 6 seasons, partially bc I'm excited about some things I have planned for Seabound and didn't want to wait so long, and I can justify it in the narrative.
In the Seabound stuff, Nya tries to merge with the Sea like Nyad, but instead she turns full dragon (concept design here); this boosts her Elemental power to an overwhelming degree, and the transformation kinda messes with her memories.
She disappears into the Endless Sea after everything with Kalamaar (am I spelling that right?) and Wojira for a year, before the lantern memorial catches he attention (with some help from both Nyad and Wojira). Instead of the words on the lanterns helping her remember tho, several of the lanterns smell familiar.
A big part of why Nya took off was bc her power suddenly increasing as much as it did did draw her to the Endless Sea like in cannon, but once sheâs had a bit of time to adjust that need to be surrounded by her Element dissipates. And once its gone she realizes something:
Something is Missing. Something Important, she canât quite remember what, but she know she has to find it.
So she searches the Endless Sea, trying to find the thing she Lost. With a nudge from Nyad (at Wojiraâs request) she finds the Lantern Memorial.
Like in cannon, the Memorial is on the one year anniversary of Nya...leaving. The Lanterns have messages written on them, but Nya canât really understand written or spoken Ninjargon anymore. Luckily, there is something on the Lanterns she Recognizes.
Scents
Lloyd (who is about 14 and has been defaulting into his Dragon form bc of how much he misses Nya) had the idea that maybe if they can make some of the Lanterns smell strongly like them, itâll help Nya find her way back home. Heâs spent the past year insisting that Nya isnât gone forever. She wouldnât just leave. She wouldnât, sheâs Nya. She must be lost or stuck somewhere, but she was coming back.
So he convinces the other to help him scent a bunch of lanterns. They use things like a perfume Maya used to wear all the time before she and Ray were taken, the types of oil the Pixal and Zane each prefer, two canâs of Kai and Rayâs prefered hair styling products, Jay sacrifices one of his lucky socks he insist never be washed (I donât think Jay canonically has lucky socks, but he strikes me as the type of guy to have a pair of unwashed lucky socks), Kai, Morro, and Lloyd (and mb Maya and Skylor) all sacrifice some loose scales (and have to be stopped from going after scales that werenât already coming loose), Ray lint rolled enough hair from everyoneâs rooms to cover two lanterns (as effective as it is disgusting), they try anything and everything they can think of to make their Lanterns reek like them.
They get some very weird looks from the other participants.
But Lloyds plan worked (something he is forever smug about) and Nya follows the scents to Ninjago City. Right in time for Nadhakhan (I donât think thatâs spelled right) to get loose.
I moved Skybound back like this bc it solved two problems I had; what to fill the space left by Jaya not being a thing in Skybound with, and how to integrate Nya coming back with the start of the Oni trilogy. The solution? Use Skybound as a buffer between Seabound and SoG.
So Nya finds her way back to her Family, her Home. She doesnât Remember any of them or anything they went through together, but she Recognizes them as Home.
Mystake guesses that, given enough time, Nyaâs memories should return. Luckily, she has a tea that should speed the process up a fair amount.
So Nyaâs memories coming back and her adjusting to that and to her being back and everything thatâs changed in the year she was gone fills in the time in the Sky Pirates stuff that used to be focused on the Jaya plot, and giving Nya time to adjust before getting into all of the everything that happens in the Oni Trilogy.
Ok, I think I got everything. But dont be shy if you have any more questions!

Raph's Paper Powers:
I had this idea like a year ago and am never going to get around to drawing it out properly; plus, seeing yet another review channel doing the Frankenfoot episode has reminded me this has been sitting in my drafts for a lot of months. So ENJOY in the only way I can muster right now!
...
[The boys are standing around, Raph patching up Frankenfoot with the last of the tape. Leo and Mikey are praising his skills. Donnie is in the background, hardly paying attention and texting--probably April.]
Mikey: Wow Raph! You sure have a way with Frankenfoot!
Leo: Yeah. Any other paper ninja would be toast and a half by now, but he still looks great, even after all the sparring and wear n tear he goes through.
Raph: What can I say? Raph just had the magic touch!
Frankenfoot: Buddy!
*RIP!!!*
Raph: Speaking of⊠don't worry buddy, Raphâs got ya covered.Â
Leo: Oh, hey, I think there's a spare roll of duct tape in the--
(Magically repairs the tear.)Â
Leo (cont.): Whaaaaaa?
Mikey: What the heck was that?Â
Donnie: Hold the proverbial phone! Did Raph get a new power? I wasnât paying attention. Iâm taking notes this time. Do it again! Do you need me to cause an accident to do it again?
(Buzzsaw comes out, goggles go down, and notepad is opened.)Â
Raph: No! What? This? Nah. Buddy just gets tape-heavy after a while and needs a paper-refresh.
Leo: He said as if thatâs just something NORMAL to do with his BARE hands!
Mikey: Ohmigosh! Raph! You totally have Origami ninja powers just like the Foot Clan! Whatâs next? A flaming head?
Leo: Never really saw our Raphy as the hotheaded sort, but--Â
Raph: Huh? Nah⊠listen guys! This is just buddy's own paper-magic mojo and the healing powers of friendship at work! Nothing Foot Clan about it!Â
Leo: What? No way!Â
Donnie: Emotional nonsense aside, this ability explains everything and yet nothing! But why manifest now? How? Hmmm?
Mikey: Admit it! Youâve been holding out on us and getting super secret ex-foot recruit training from Cassandra! No fair!
Raph: Wha---no!!?
Donnie: Aha! Of course! The only logical explanation is that Raph must have absorbed a fraction of the unique mystical ability from ingesting that temporarily sentient salami paper that we confronted on that cargo ship the night we first met the Foot.
Mikey: Raph got a new superpower from eating salami-origami!? LuckyâŠ
Leo: Huh⊠he âateâ himself a new superpower! GASP! Like Kirby!!Â
[Cass walking in overhearing everything, she is here for a sparring session of her own, a gym bag over her shoulder.]
Cass: Raph got a new superpower from eating something!? Well donât hold out! I want some too! Fork it over!
Raph: Oh, hey Cass. Nah, my brotherâs are sayinâ I got Foot Clan paper powers just cause I ate some briefly âninja-fiedâ salami a long time ago-- but Iâm trying to tell them that ain't it and that theyâre jumping to conclusions.
Donnie: HOW DARE YOU SIR! I never jump to conclusions! My theories and hypotheses are always based on facts and science thank you very---oof!
(Cass enters, throwing her heavy bag into Donnie and toppling him over.)
Cass: Yeah, no⊠All of you have it wrong. Dude⊠origami manipulation is a sacred ability passed down through generations of worthy Foot Clan warriors. Itâs even more rare than the flaming skull and footprint ceremony held with Hatsu the boiling tomato soup cauldron of eternal power.Â
Leo: Wait, can we go back to that last par---
Cass (Ignoring Leo): Anyway, after learning that Shredder was your ancestor during the whole "stealing your dad's essence and betraying my clan" situation⊠I realized that must be why that rogue paper ninja--
Frankenfoot: BUDDIES!
Cass (cont.): --was so drawn to you to begin with. Based on lineage, you all should have the latent abilities for paper no jutsu. Kind of like how you all have your Ninpo thing. Shredder lost his connection to all that after he became Shredder, cutting off his opportunities at gaining full power but he still could pass along the origami technique used by his clan, which managed to continue to this day like with my old sensei. Raph here is obviously just better at harnessing it than the rest of you. I thought everyone here knew this already? Itâs kind of obvious.
Mikey: UhhhhâŠ. It is?
Raph: Aww, thanks Cass!
Frankenfoot: Buddy!Â
Leo: Wait! So does that mean we might also be related to the Foot Brute and/ or Lieutenant? Man Family get-togethers just keep getting more and more awkward in this house.
Donnie: Not everybody in a clan is related, Nardo--- (under his breath with sinister intent) But yes, we canât rule out the possibility just yet. Weâll need a blood sample to be sure.
Mikey: Daaaaad! Quick! Itâs an emergency! I need all the paper weâve got in the lair!
Splinter (panicked, off-screen): What!?! Wait! Why?!?Â
Donnie (taking notes): This is all incredibly useful information⊠and coming from Cassandra of all sources.Â
Cass: Hey!? (Instant Headlock)
Raph: Huh? An ancient clan power that isn't the same as ninpo. Guess I gotta learn more about origami, huh?
Leo: With those digits? Pffft! Good luck!Â
Raph: *Grumbles*
Frankenfoot: Buddy!
[End on Leo making fun of Raphâs huge hands. Splinter trying to make sure whatever Mikeyâs doing doesnât destroy the lair. Donnie getting beat up by Cassandra. Frankenfoot is just happy to be there. April walking in with pizza like that meme from Community where everything is on fire and chaotic.]

Seiraâs UB Biology Corner: Interdimensional Variants
Hello people of Rotumblr! Rotomblr? I donât know what to call this database, because you humans have a lotta confusing and conflating names for it. Iâm Seira, Pandoriaâs partner within the URS, but you probably already knew that. Today is gonna be my first real post on Pandoriaâs account that actually contains stuff pertaining to my research. And for my initial topic, I will be talking about something that is often overlooked: Ultra Space variants of PokĂ©mon.
You see, sometimes species from other worlds end up straying too far from home and end up in regions of Ultra Space, such as the Wilds and other areas inhabited by UBs. Due to the increased exposure of Ultra Energy to their bodies, they undergo rapid changes in order to better adapt to their strange new environments; and they look equally as strange too, I may add. The closest known concepts to these variations are Regional Variants and Paradox forms, and in a way they lie somewhere in the middle.
As with UBs, the strange is mundane for us and the mundane is alien. WellâŠtechnically weâre the aliens but thatâs not the point. The main point for this is education, but in an engaging manner. You may be wondering âwhat kind of PokĂ©mon species have noticeable adaptations?â Well, random Rotumblr user, I have the answer. Multiple answers, in fact.
Thereâs a variant of the species known as Drapion and Skorupi that has traded their potent poison for aquatic lifestyles. Thereâs a variant of Tropius that grows to massive size due to a surge in latent draconic energy and has lost the ability to fly. There are Mantine and Wailord fully capable of airborne flight in low-gravity environments. The Claydol and Baltoy resemble figures crafted by early civilizations that first travelled Ultra Space. Glimmora are said to be nature spirits by clans of Naganadel riders. The list is practically endless! And most important of all, we havenât discovered all the different variations yet because Ultra Space is so vast!
Though the title of this whole thing is âUB Biology Cornerâ, these variants are essentially honorable UBs in my eyes but are far less dangerous in regards to their threat levels. Heck, some stowaways arenât even effected by Ultra Radiation for some reason!Galarian Corsola has been spotted in Ultra Deep Sea along with their fully evolved forms and are compatible with their newfound habitats. UB biologists and xenobiologists like myself are still unsure how or why this happens.
But anyways, that concludes this blurb on interdimensional variations found in Ultra Space!

Kiss the Queen
I rarely read anything about Kiss and Queen (1). In the same breath as people like to do with Led Zeppelin or Deep Purple, or for that matter Aerosmith, I mean.
I'm not sure if this could be due to a certain unpopularity of the song Boomerang. But if you use that as a comparison, Read My Body, for example, would have to be quite popular among the fan community, because Kiss and Def Leppard are always mentioned in the Kiss community at regular intervals. This even makes me think that there must be some latent Read My Body fans among the hardcore fans.
So why isn't anyone interested in Boomerang? Because this song, or let's say if you leave out its somewhat uninspired vocals and vocal chorus, would actually be extremely good and a real banger (2). True, not a classic, but what the heck?
I think I remember Bruce once describing it as something like AC/DC on speed, and I admit I quite like that comparison because I think you should always have a good, strong, big cup of coffee, before you even think about listening to it. This has a huge impact on appreciation, believe me (3).
*takes a sip from his cup and smiles contentedly.
Anyway, Kiss and Queen. Boomerang and Stone Cold Crazy. Coffee and more coffee. Need I say more? It's not that Gene grabbed their whole riff, but half of it is enough, and in this case he might as well have painted two big Qs out of coffee grounds around his eyes.
Or maybe I'm wrong, because I can't say for sure if it was Gene at all, and maybe this time it was Bruce, the old scoundrel (4), and I'm doing poor old Gene a bitter injustice. This one time.
Who can say for sure?
*finishes the coffee in one go.
Side Notes:
(1) Apart from what I write about this matter now and then myself.
(2) I guess because unfortunately these unfortunate vocals also keep coming back like a boomerang. Perhaps an instrumental version of this song should be released to give it a little boost in popularity.
(3) And I'm not even a big coffee drinker. Not anymore. One cup a fortnight is enough for me. It just has to be a good one.
(4) Speaking of Bruce, attention, attention Bruce fans. Here is a small four-parter containing a few lines about Kiss live during the Bruce Era and what I love about it: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 & Part 4. I could well imagine that a few more of these could follow in the future.

Youâre answer regarding my question about the Jabberwalkerâs mask got me thinking, there could be other Magical artefacts from during the age of the Gods, some old sorcerer staves, enchanted weapons/armor/jewellery, some cursed items maybe even a weapon similar to Craven Edge.
Yeah I certainly don't doubt we'll be introduced to such artifacts sooner or later. Heck, one was introduced in that D&d campaign that Eddy ran a while back (it was able to control Grimm to a degree).
In fact, I'm now wondering if this could possibly explain some of the funky stuff surounding Crescent Rose this volume. Because her Silver Eyes originate from the Gods, perhaps Ruby has unknowingly imbued Crescent Rose with some of her own latent power?

CW: Conditioning, Bloodlust, G*ns, Memory Play, Trancey Language
". . . 1, Wide awake, fresh, wonderful and Mine."
They shook themselves. They were no strangers to their partner's trances; far from it. This one felt different.
Stronger. Latent. A trap waiting to be sprung.
"How are you, hun?" Her sweet voice rang, a taunting chime.
"Mm. Yeah. Swell" They mumbled groggily. Her laugh gave them goosebumps. Was it their lust being used against them? The strongest desire to be her's? Or maybe. Just maybe. They just loved her.
Whatever it was, they couldn't get enough.
"You ready to queue, dummy?" She asked.
"Sure! Want me on support?" They asked. In recent weeks of playing Overwatch II (OWII), they had been placed on Support. Something about consciously sacrificing their play to keep watch of their partner felt so.. good? Right? The point was for her to have fun after all.
"Nope. You get DPS, Toy. I'll be supporting you today." She said smugly.
That didn't seem.. right. Why in the Heavens would she willingly give up her preferred class? For support?
Forgive them for being.
Skeptical.
"Ok, are you sure Love?"
"Oh. I'm definitely sure. But. Do your best."
They loaded in, and waited in queue. As they waited, anticipation built. Sure, they were getting what they wanted. But. Their reflexes had shifted towards keeping their Love alive.
What if their reflexes had shifted? What if they went up against stiff competition?
Or worse..
WHAT IF SHE WAS BETTER AT SUPPORT?
While their Love is good at. A lot. Admittedly. OWII is the one area they felt they had a shot to be their best for her.
"Toy. Are you ok?"
"Just nervous."
"About?"
"I... I want to be good for you."
"Oooohhhh, Toy. You will be. Just wait."
They loaded in. Following the Tank's lead, they each went for their preferred Poke heroes - Hanzo & Ana.
Love would never admit that they were a bad Ana - but that was not a unique trait amongst most supports.
They, however, were very good at Hanzo. Vicious even.
As the game began, it was clear the other team had the benefit of experience and skill.
Scattered and without direction, there was little that could be done to get things on track.
Of course, bad tended to get worse. Soon, they heard her voice.
"Toy. Turn up the heat."
In that moment, they blinked furiously, and rocked back and forth as the trigger shook them.
Their vision sharpened.
Reflexes hastened.
Elim after elim, they created space enough to get through.
Their placement and positioning was better than it had been in ages.
But the more they progressed, the more intense the focus. The more intense the focus. Heck. The more intense the pleasure.
Each elim shook them. Each dose made them crave another.
"Good Toy. Ease up, sweetheart."
Breathing, they reoriented. They were so focused on... the feedback. They didn't notice the shakiness that had taken over. The sweat that coated them. The moisture below that definitely, definitely, wasn't just sweat.
"What. The HELLS. Was that?
"Fun, Toy. That. That was fun."

Assigning Star Rail cast the songs they would sing in Yakuza/Like a Dragon karaoke along with the cinamatics.
1. Tail - Bakamitai
He's the most unfamiliar with emotional attachment so he def the type to rather just sit in a room and drink helio-whiskey instead of showing any real affection as a green ball floating above a stool.
Of course the pictures being replaces with his moments with Huohuo in his mind cuz hes basically her family now đđđ
Also its funny cuz Huohuo would be too scared to sing but the gang somehow got him to sing so she has to akwardly stand off the stage nearby so he has his wifi connection.
2. Caelus and/or Stelle Judgement -Shinpan-
Its all about breaking za law and they always say that "Rules are meant to be broken." They would be into that cheesy image of cool.
March (or even the other Trailblazer) would be in Nishiki's spot with Dan Heng or Welt as the keyboard player as they rock out.
3. Caelus - 24 Hour Cinderella
Of course both TBlazers can be interchange able but I like to think they have their own slight personality differences.
In their mind this would have a March theming in colors and outfits and who ever they first think up as the background dancers. He did this to out-idol and out-cute March, somehow gets a higher rating from the machine at the end.
4. Stelle - Machine Gun Kiss
Much like Caelus, this is her way of out-cooling Welt even though he sung a completely different genre of song. Also gets a higher rating but just barely. She especially would really ham it up especially on the end with the "aaaRRUUHHGGG!!!" like Adachi.
5. Clara and Svarog - OtoMetal MY LIFE
The name alone should be enough. Small child with a red and white color scheme with a menacing seemingly emotionless legendary guardian with a deep voice? Heck yeah it works.
First, she asked for him to participate in karaoke,
Then she asked he do the actual back up vocals instead of replaying the built in cheers. After a few songs, Svarog began to understand the energy he had to put into the vocals.
6. Sushang - The Future I Dreamed of
Both Ichiban and Sushang dream to be a hero who does good and with friends even if they have more heart than brains.
Basically are both shonen protags who hit things with metal objects with a big smile on their face and never back down even at impossible odds (unless its ghosts).
It wouldnt even matter if she could hit the notes either because she rarely sings due to her training, Sushang would put in alot of effort in her singing and that alone is enough.
7. Bronye and Seele - Like a Butterfly
Seele and butterflies, what else is there to say.
Bronya singing the softer vocals with Seele complimenting it with more "aggressive" back up matches their dynamic pretty well, also its funny imagining her going all out on a song and going "Oh yeahhhh."
8. Guinaifen - Spring Breeze
"All the pictures that I could take,
All the gigs these videos make,
None of it replaces the you that I know.
But they'll be there after you go."
I mean cmon, this is easily her singing to her SQUAD outside of her streaming stuff. 'Blazer, Sushang, Huohuo, they would all be in her imaginary MV as she sung. Would be one of the better singers in raw quality.
9. March - All Idol songs + 3x SHINE
I am certain she would be a bonafide idol if she had the opportunity. All the interjections are basically any of the Star Rail passangers minus Pom Pom unless she convinced him its an essential for the sake of the ride.
Even someone like Dan Heng would be going off with their interjections she just has that latent power.
