IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!!!! Honestly my personal Shadowzel head canon is that shadowheart is uming and arring about catching strong feelings in a friend with benefits weird situationship because lae'zel doesn't seem to want more, while lae'zel is convinced she is with the love of her life.

This is mostly on Shadowheart for not bothering to work at a cultural barrier but it's also a little on Lae'zel who refuses to use any terms of endearment that aren't in Githyanki, a language she mostly switches to in order to insult people.

He came to me as a suprise gift. I had been asking for a dog and my mam had bought me him to stop me from asking possibly thinking he was going to be lower maintenance than a dog (HA) but hes the best gift ive ever been given. No bunny will ever compare ever again.

He's 8 today and when i look at his little greying face i see the dark handsome teenager and that blue eyed baby staring back at me. My boy will probably outlive us all out of spite.

in another ending you can just convince the princess... to Not become a god and Just Become Mortal and presumably enjoy the world as is (i know the context is i guess we... destroy the world as gods? but idk. other than i feel it'd be... not more explicit but more i guess... hinting at it, a tad, unless i'm wrong, i feel like the 'destroying of the world' is just... 'death existing', given... again the narrator wanted to DESTROY DEATH ITSELF.)

and for one just. reinforces how. tragic the narrator is in hindsight?

he can't enjoy his ideal version of a world, and you won't either obviously (in some cases, not all to be fair, should you choose to do so), and like he probably didn't think it was as 'simple' as 'just love her'. (which isn't to simplify it but. you know. true love helps and all that)
