The phone screen whirs to life to reveal… quite a peculiar place. Darkness creeps at the corners of your vision, and everything in the room is tinted slightly green with the night vision feature of the camera. One by one, some notable features become clear as the camera slowly adjusts to the dim light.

One- a stack of takeout boxes and bags that teeters ever so slightly to the side, but balanced with enough precision to remain standing for… who knows how long.

Two- a cat tree with various tattered felt rats and strings with bells on the end hanging from the ballasts of the fortress, obviously well used.

Three- an electric keyboard in the corner of the room, dusty with manila folders propped up where sheet music should be.

Four- a desk with two monitors and a high-backed swivel chair (what’s on the monitors is unclear, as they’re too blindingly bright to be picked up by the camera.) It’s facing away from the computer. It’s also occupied! She has picked up on the camera recording her a while ago, curiously following the lens with a catlike quirk to her lips.

Well Trish the time has come this post will describe my very Complex feelings about Amy Gardner whom you haven’t met yet but that’s okay here we go

1. Donna. The best love interest for multiple reasons one being they’re endgame and they’ve been dancing around each other since season 1 and they don’t get together until season 7. They’re the slow burn to end all slow burns. Donna is good for him they balance each other out. They sass and snark and banter with each other. She asks questions and learns and then also teaches him She’s that voice telling him to do good and to remember what’s important and 9 times out of 10 when he needs to talk something through that he isn’t sold on or sure of he talks to Donna. He values her opinion and her so highly. She’s invaluable. She’s brilliant but so kind hearted and her heart is so big and she’s smarter than so many people combined and he doesn’t even have the same education background as them. She wants to and can take care of josh and he wants to and can take care of her. They’re quite literally a perfect match. Plus they have the most romantic scenes.

2. Joey. I really prefer Joey & Josh in later seasons when they have more of that sibling relationship but I also really wish Joey had stayed around more I wish she’d run for something I wish she had become a congresswoman like they’d hinted at in s1. I love her so much she’s so good. But even when she was flirting with josh they always had a fun banter type relationship and I loved her making fun of him whenever possible like sticking her tongue out at him. Plus they have really sweet looks at each other I love it.

3. Amy. Ughhhhhhhhhhh. So here’s the thing about Amy. She’s brilliant. She’s so fucking smart. She’s smart and she’s (supposed to be) the hardcore feminist type (whether that really pulls through is hard to say) but whatever the point is she’s brilliant. She’s smart and determined and ambitious as fuck and it scares all the guys and she’s intimidating. And she’s also played by Mary Louise Parker who is... a goddess okay she’s stunning. Just holy shit. She breathes and I’m like yeah okay I get why josh is so obsessed with her I get it. But here’s the thing. I hate her and josh together. For multiple reasons and yeah one of them is because he’s not Donna BUT ALSO ! I think their relationship is just like ... bad. They fight all the time. Not bicker not banter they fight. They’re both so stubborn and hot headed and Amy will stop at nothing to get her way and she’s a power dater too they want the upper hand and they both out their jobs before each other but Amy still gets mad when the job is put before her. She also throws Josh’ phone in a pot of soup or chili or something. They’re just..bad for each other. And I can never tell what Amy is thinking she always has this same face on like show some emotion. But also we do get a good Vulnerable josh moment on the steps of his apartment with Amy so I can’t be too mad. Plus I mean! As I said! She’s gorgeous! And brilliant! I get it! Still hate them tho

4. Mandy. Since we never get to really see him and Mandy together I had to put it last. Also because ... Mandy is just so forgettable like half the time I forget she was a character I block her from my brain I can remmeber every plot of every episode of s1 and yet in my brain she is just never there even when she’s an integral part of the episode. I just forget she existed. Also I just have a feeling she was mean to josh and I don’t stand for that.

sighhhhhh i've been legit thinking abou승ㄹt seungtae all day like mate. Either that or just the day and me just associating him with the day bcos i enjoyed myself so much so it made me like him even more.
