eight - octopus familiar!König x witch!reader

"Bottom left shelf." You read, holding your arm out as the little creature slides down your shoulder to throw a tentacle at the bottle. "Thank you, little one."

It hums in response.

"You can turn human again, you know?" You measure out the amount for the potion, placing the bottle down as König reaches to put it back in its place.

The creature slides down your arm to the counter, and you turn around when the familiar sound of bubbles fills the air.

"Liebing, do you not like my small form?"

"I'd assume you prefer being human more." You tilt your head, ladle full of the potion lifted up as you tilt your head. "Color doesn't look right. You wanna—"

König presses his pinky in and has a taste, eyes squinting at the flavor.

"Does not taste right."

"Yeah, that's what I was gonna say." You grab a taste as well, frowning.

"What is the potion to do?"

"Poison."

"Liebing, spit it out!?" König reaches for your mouth, and you laugh, shaking your head as he keeps his hands on your face.

"Just messing with you. It's just for vitality..." You trail off, lips quirking up. "Quite a hit on the market recently."

You ignore the way his eyes darken after your words. It was just a lick. It shouldn't be that potent yet.

(The bed rest you're sentenced to for a week indicates otherwise)
