Top 5 Free Video Player Apps For Android, iOS, and Windows in 2024
Tumblr media
We enjoy the entertainment but it is most fun when in high quality. The Media and Entertainment industry uses advanced technology to keep us entertained. It is always finding ways to improve the quality. A media player is needed to access the best entertainment. A video player that supports up to 4K or 8K and even HDR with a powerful equalizer is the best. There are several players available for different OS like Android, iOS and Windows. VLC Media Player, MX Player, and YouTube are some known media players available on all these platforms.
HD Video Player All Formats is the best offline video player for Android and iOS. It has all the fascinating features of a media player to offer high-quality entertainment. It supports all media formats, plays videos and audio files in high quality, supports subtitles, built-in music player, video downloader, video hider, photo albums and much more. It can automatically read your local media files and manage them efficiently. It allows the users to filter duplicate files and large files and delete them easily. You can even watch trending videos online and relax.
Why Do We Need a Video Player?
It is an application that can play videos. We all have used them on our phones, laptops or PCs. However, the best video player apps are the ones that can play HD videos, all format media files, efficient file organization and more. Let us see what else we need it for.
• Offline Playback - You can easily watch local video files(media files stored on your device) in high quality. For offline playback, you do not need a stable internet connection. You can download videos and watch them later without the internet.
• Online Streaming - Media player apps are no longer limited to offline playback. We now have multiple video player apps that stream online videos like OTT platforms. Examples- YouTube, MX Player, Netflix and more.
• Media File Organization - The functions of the video player do not only include playing videos but also file management. These apps should be able to read and write the local media files on your device automatically without sharing the data with other apps. The easy file management helps users to browse any media file easily.
The Best Free Video Player Apps In 2024
There are several video player apps available for every platform. Some are available for free and some are paid. We will discuss the players that are free and widely used.
List of Best Free Video Player Apps
Let us explore media player apps available for free for Android, iOS and Windows in 2024.
1. HD Video Player All Formats- This app is for offline playback that can play media files of all common formats and supports HD, Full HD, 4K, 8K and HDR videos. It is available for Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, web browsers, Linux, smart TVs and streaming devices. It has also become the best video player for Android, iOS and Windows.
Conclusion
The media player apps mentioned above are available for free and widely used. Some of them are best for offline playback and some offer unlimited entertainment for free. Video player apps like VLC Media Player and HD Video Player All Formats. are great for offline video playback. However, VLC Media Player has complicated player settings which is not easy for a beginner to understand. Online video player apps like YouTube, MX Player and Plex have a huge media library. You get back-to-back entertainment from international production. With MX Player, you can get original production of the player and with Plex, you get to watch old to new movies and web series.
With so many options available, you can get confused about which one to choose. Let us make this process simple by understanding the requirements you want in a video player. You should know if you need an MP4 player with advanced settings or an easily accessible app. Once you understand these, you can make your decision. Still, if you have any doubts, HD Video Player All Formats is the best for offline playback, Plex and MX Player are the best for online streaming and YouTube is best for creators. Every app has its pros and cons but they all are the top MP4 player apps for everyone.

So it turns out I didn't even need to buy a DAC/Amplifier for my MacBook Air M2. The headphone jack supports lossless listening and playing through high-impedance headphones. i just needed to change the MIDI settings to match the frequency of the tracks I have - which I don't ever go no lower than MP3 320kbps. And yeah, now my music collection sounds bloody incredible through my HD 600's.
I'm a happy music enthusiast now (Girl4Music, isn't my IM name for no reason, you know) I really only needed the DAC/Amplifier for my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Good thing too because this IFI DAC/Amp is tiny and I wouldn't listen through these headphones in public anyway because they leak sound like I don't know what. Sennheiser open back wired headphones are only ever meant for private listening. Unless I can figure out how to work this DAC thing on my iPhone, I guess I'm sticking with listening through my Bluetooth earphones - which unfortunately doesn't/won't ever support lossless listening.
I'm guessing anyway. I don't know if Apple will eventually invent its own audio codec that will support its Apple Music lossless feature through Bluetooth. I know that at the moment it doesn't with any of its headphone/earphone products. Including the high end ones. Not that I would ever use Apple's products for audio listening/playing 🤣

one of my favourite examples of preserving atmosphere in a remake or HD version of a game will always be deciding not to remaster any of the music for twilight princess HD, and actually not changing much of the visuals either, something about that games atmosphere comes from the hazy and and dream like quality of digital media from the time. the muffled audio has this incredible ethereal quality to it that you just do not find in games anymore. there was something truely magical about 2000s dark fantasy media that i hope we will see again someday

Ace Attorney Investigations Collection Announced
Tumblr media
At the Nintendo Direct today, news I have been tirelessly waiting six years for arrived: The Ace Attorney Investigations games are coming to all modern consoles! This includes Ace Attorney Investigations 2 (now officially known as Ace Attorney Investigations: Prosecutor's Gambit), after THIRTEEN YEARS of being a Japan-exclusive game!
Now everyone gets to experience Debeste Ace Attorney games! ... The Winner Ace Attorney Games!
Key Information
The collection is coming out on September 6, 2024 to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, XBOX One, Windows, and Steam. It will be available in Japanese, English, French, German, Korean, and Traditional and Simplified Chinese, with new voice dubs. Most of the information in this post will be coming from the official website, which you can check out for more details.
The reveal trailer is as follows:
youtube
There's lots of information here, so let's break it down:
New Features
Since these were originally Nintendo DS games, there's a massive jump in graphic quality to HD! This includes a new interface for Logic, the court record, and redone full-body sprites. But if you prefer the classic look, the AAI collection will let you swap between the sprite styles:
Tumblr media
Similarly to the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and 456 Collection, the AAI Collection includes story mode, dialogue history, a gallery containing concept and special art, and music including orchestral arrangements of the soundtrack.
You can also change the in-game soundtrack to rearranged tracks! This applies to Confrontation - Allegro, Confrontation - Presto, Objection 2009, and Pursuit - Chase Down The Truth (commonly known as Lying Coldly) with and without the intro.
Pre-Order Bonuses
Much like the AAI tracks, AAI2 arranged tracks can play in game, but these are currently restricted to pre-order bonuses (though this might change in the future). This includes Confrontation - Allegro 2011, Confrontation - Presto 2011, Objection 2011, and the intro and non-intro versions of Pursuit - Uncover The Truth (commonly known as Wanting To Find The Truth).
That's all on the English side, but much like the 456 collection, Japan has a physical collector's edition called the Mitsurugi (Edgeworth) Checkmate Set. This includes an arranged mini-album of songs by other composers, and new album art by Tatsuro Iwamoto.
Tumblr media
The new songs include "Objections of Different Eras" (seemingly a remix of Objections 2009 and 2011), "Raven that Pursues The Truth" (remix of Kay's theme), "It's Time for Action!" (remix of Gumshoe's theme), "Howling Echoes" (remix of Lang's theme), and "Unveiling the Truth" (remix of the Pursuit songs).
This collection also includes a diorama set:
Tumblr media
The set has two backgrounds (the rooftop of the Grand Tower and Edgeworth's office), and has standees of Edgeworth, Kay, Gumshoe, Franziska, Lang, Gregory, and... Verity and Eustace.
Which is a good segue into:
Localization Differences
Since most AA fans will be familiar with the fantastic AAI2 fan translation, the new names will likely be an adjustment for all of us. Characters in AAI (like Kay and Lang) will not have their names changed, just characters that were previously exclusive to AAI2.
Known name changes include:
Yumihiko Ichiyanagi / Sebastian Debeste -> Eustace Winner
Hakari Mikagami / Justine Courtney -> Verity Gavèlle
Tateyuki Shigaraki / Raymond Shields -> Eddie Fender
We also know that Manosuke Naito / Horace Knightley's new last name is Knight, and Gai Tojiro / Ethan Rooke's last name is Rook, which isn't much of a departure from fan translation names. We also know that Mikiko Hayami / Nicole Swift's new last name is Lloyd. I will provide updates on more names when they become available!
Regardless of your feelings on the new names - it's going to be an adjustment for everyone used to the fan translation that has been around ten years now - let's all keep in mind that despite the new names, the characters behind the names will be the same. And personally, as a massive fan of AAI2, I think the adjustment will be worth it if it means that more people get to experience my favorite ace attorney game for themselves.
With this announcement, all canonical ace attorney games have been ported to modern consoles and given an English translation. As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, this announcement is thirteen years in the making for AAI2! This is an unprecedented time for the popularity and accessibility of Ace Attorney.
(All we need now is the Layton crossover...)
Thank you all for joining me in this excitement and I look forward to collecting and sharing more updates as they arrive!

Yo Goldenheart and Nimona nation, do i ever have good news for you!
Do you like homoerotic betrayals?
Do you like lovers best friends being torn apart upon finding themselves on the opposite sides of a war? Where each is burdened with the responsibilities from their chosen role?
Tumblr media
Do you like couples where one half represents the oppressive regime and the other half embodies EVERYTHING the said oppressive regime hates? Where the one half, acting as a tool of violence and subjugation for the oppressive regime, has to HUNT DOWN and ARREST the other half who has sworn to attack the oppressive regime head on?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do you like couples with opposing colour schemes? Where one half embodies a particular element and the other half embodies a contrasting element? Do you like couples who are each other's foils? DO YOU LIKE COUPLES WHO ARE THEMATIC PARALLELS TO EACH OTHER??
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do you like a story that's rich in symbolism? Rife with metaphors? A movie that you can rewatch again and again and STILL discover new stuff to lose your mind over?
Tumblr media
Do you like a story where love shines brighter than the sun? Where love conquers all the hurt, anger, grief, heartbreak, generational trauma and violence? Where love heals? Where the sheer power of love changes the entire course of the narrative? Where love rewrites history itself?
Tumblr media
Do you like movies that make you feel THE ENTIRE SPECTRUM of human emotions within its runtime?
Tumblr media
Do you like gorgeous, jaw dropping cinematography? Do you like highly stylized action sequences?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do you like banger music and a soundtrack that slaps HARD? Do you like a wonderful song and dance interlude in a movie as it shifts into the next act?
Tumblr media
Do you like a character who is just the sweetest and the best and deserves everything that is good in the world and has BIG BROWN MASSIVE ADORABLE DOE EYES? And then proceeds to go through the literal WORST TIME ever?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course, you do! You like Nimona!
And ho boy, are you gonna LOVE RRR. Because this movie has got ALL of that and then some more. It's an epic, it's a war movie, it's a love story, it's highly symbolical, it's going to take your heart and rip it into two. And you will thank it for that.
Hmm, Enigma. But where can I watch it? 🤔
It's available on Netflix but only as the dubbed Hindi version. It's pretty good for a dub as the actors dubbed their characters themselves and the director oversaw the translation but! But! Listen! There is a magic in the original Telugu version and if you want to experience it, then thank @charcubed for this post where you can download the original Telugu version in crisp HD with English subtitles FOR FREE
There is a third option. You can stream it for free in Einthusan here. However, the quality of the Einthusan stream is not good, and if there is one movie that DESERVES to be watched in crisp HD quality? Trust me, it's RRR
Tumblr media
So, what are you waiting for? Go watch it, RIGHT NOW. Seriously

I think part of the reason I hate the switch so much is because I had years with my 3DS which had so many more social and artistic functions and all in all felt so much less... Sterile.
The 3DS had drawing, animation, music making apps that were more like toys than anything, a music player, a pretty Alright camera app, notes, a screenshot function, an entire social network, and you had stuff like legacy pictochat through the built-in DS emulator, SwapDoodle which I still wish worked because some of my warmest memories were of using the swapnote app to send people little doodles and letters, and a pretty robust mii maker. Streetpass made carrying teh console around actually fun, and for a while it was a pretty entertaining part of my daily routine. Everything had built-in animations and music that gave it so much personality. It really felt like, even if it wasn't as technically potent as a PSP or Vita, everything worked so well and was so polished and high quality. And themes! And badges! Folders! Wallpapers! How can I forget those. Everything in the 3DS' user experience felt like it had so much life to it. Also durable as all hell, a lot of them are still going despite being about 10 years old or more.
The switch? Minimalistic UI you can't customize or organize. No music. Barely any sound effects. A touchscreen but no pen to use it, so there are no decent apps to draw or make music or anything like that. Store barely works and starts lagging as soon as you navigate one page down. Absolutely flooded with shovelware. Sales section is useless because actually decent sales get buried under dozens upon dozens of android games that are 90% off forever. No social functions, you get a friend list and a screenshot function but that's about it. Online services that you have to pay for and barely work. Shitty wifi connectivity. None of the features they managed to cram into the little pocket-sized console 10 years ago. You don't even get any free apps to play with when you first open the console up. It just feels like a console designed from the ground up to be as economical and sanitized as possible. With less interactivity and personalization. "Less" is how I describe the entire console as a whole, really.
But hey. It's got HD rumble, I guess.

"But no new content 😭!!" that means jack shit. We have several literal decades worth of content we can watch or rewatch. The writers and now the actors too are not only fighting for their livelihoods but for the futures and the soul of their industries.
Fuck new content, fuck the executives and producers and powers that be who make millions upon millions while the people, who create the content that make them rich, can barely make ends meet.
Here's some suggestions to anyone who doesn't know what to watch;
Nostalgia rewatch; watch old favourites, shows and movies you haven't seen in years but that stayed with you, the ones that mattered to you.
Watch the shows your parents didn't let you watch growing up because they thought the show was "too mature" for you.
Watch the shows and movies people have recommended to you that you never found time for before.
Watch indie films!!!
Look at different genres than what you've watched before and give them a go.
Try films and shows from other countries and/or in other languages. There's dubs and subtitles available and these shows and movies can be just as good if not better than their American and/or English speaking counterpart.
And remember when watching shows, that you do not have to binge them all at once, you can have your own personal tv schedule and watch say an episode a week like you would've done when/if they aired before streaming
Look at some older films and shows, why does it matter if it's in black and white or the camera quality is lower than 4k and hd, so long as it's good? And so many of those shows and films, while not perfect, have aged better than shows that have come out in the last decade, like the golden girls for instance has aged so much better than say glee (ok many many many shows aged better than glee but let's be real for a second, music was better when artists were terrified of the Glee cast doing a better version of their song on the show. I do still wish it was a show my mom didn't let me watch tho, lmao glee was fine but no, her twelve year old being obsessed with Les mis and rewatching it religiously was cause for concern 😂😭 I was just as obsessed with glee for seasons 1-4 especially).
It's ok to indulge your inner child and rewatch the classics tm. The shows and movies you grew up with. Rewatch the shows that got you through sick days from school, the tv movies you remember watching premiere, the cartoons that MADE your Saturday mornings, etc.
On the topic of animation, that's literally an unlimited genre you can tap into, which rarely gets the recognition and respect it deserves.
Don't be afraid to watch the one season wonders, the shows that networks and streamers cancelled after one season in spite of strong reviews and good ratings. Or the shows that ended abruptly around the season 3 or 5 mark because networks and streamers cancelled them because they didn't want to negotiate contracts and have to pay the actors and writers more. Get angry, remember what the actors and writers are fighting for.
The privilege of older shows that either concluded naturally or that writers were given a heads up on might be on it's last season is that you get closure, unlike with the above. That might not mean an ending is good but a bad ending is better than a cliffhanger. There's always fix its fics for a bad ending. And if the ending is good, it's typically GOOD in my experience. The fear of a cliffhanger and zero closure has already turned many against watching new content until the show is renewed for another season or is fully wrapped (and fans don't hate the ending).
Watch the shows that were in their day or are popular or critically acclaimed, they usually hold up to the hype.
Watch the old shows and movies your favs were on/in before they were your favs.
Try a soap or a telenovela, they can be entertaining af (holby city my love, Tuesdays have never been the same since the BBC robbed me of you).
If you liked a reboot or a revival of a show, try the original (in certain cases, the og is even better, see boy meets world v girl meets world).
If you like period dramas, try shows and films from other countries based on their history. A lot of times when people are telling their own history it goes far better than when Hollywood tries it (see the many times Hollywood has actors brought in because producers think they're good for box office and they then go on to butcher the accent their character should have, see Cameron Diaz, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep and so many others who have absolutely butchered the Irish accent over the years for instance. There's also many many instances even recently of just blatant whitewashing see Matt Damon as the last samurai...).
Listen to recommendations, watch the shows and movies you know your family and friends loved but you never got around to watching.

Something I really lament is the move towards digital media. Slowly we start to never own the things we like. Even if we "buy" a digital game, or movie or show. It's locked behind a certain platform or service. Once it shuts down we lose it forever.
Tumblr media
(me when big booby anime girl explosion Is taken off of Netflix)
I also feel like there's a certain charm to owning physical media, like things you can hold and the satisfaction from pressing a clicky button or putting a disc or cassette in and seeing it work.
Tumblr media
(oooh so classy so retro so.. expensive in the modern day)
More people should try to make copies of what they own digitally, or try to buy physical media before it's lost from streaming services and digital storefronts forever. Like the case with certain games like Godzilla 2014 and Transformers War for Cybertron. They don't exist digitally anymore. Only hard copies exist outside of emulation and at insane resell prices like... INSANE ones for a mediocre Godzilla game
Tumblr media
So yea. Buy some more CDs of those albums you have on replay! Buy a DVD of that niche obscure anime you like! And most importantly PLEASE PLEASE START MAKING HARD BACKUPS OF SHOWS YOU LIKE THAT YOU PIRATE!!! media preservation is important!
Tumblr media
(me downloading every episode of Daredevil onto my hard drive to burn to a DVD later so I can give it to all my friends)
This is now going to be a Comprehensive guide on how to rip a CD
POLL TIME!
Burning and Ripping Disc's❤️❤️💕💕🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️
STEP ONE:
BUY A CHEAP BLU-RAY/DVD DRIVE FOR YOUR WINDOWS COMPUTER
here are some I recommend!!!
i personally use this pioneer one :)))
DVD drives in general are relatively cheap from 30-20 smackeroos, but Blu-ray drives are around 80-100 bucks depending on the manufacturer but offer better support for copying HD video such as on a Blu-ray.
STEP TWO:
FIND A PIECE OF MEDIA YOU ENJOY.
in this case its gonna be a CD!!
i really enjoy Vespertine by Bjork, but i wanna have it on my computer just in case anything happens to my CD. SO. ill open Windows Media Player
Tumblr media
(she hasn't changed since 2011 <3333 be urself girl)
NEXT
ill insert the disc into the player. and it'll start playing!
Pause the disc and go into Rip settings
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NEXT!! select the format!
if you want to conserve space and don't mind sacrificing audio quality select MP3! if you want to hear the same level of audio quality as preserved on the CD, select a format labelled LOSSLESS. I recommend .WAV files as they'll work with most devices including an android phone or iTunes on PC (more on that later ;3 )
NEXT!
create a folder on whatever u wanna save ur music to! (u can call it whatever u want the world is your oyster bestie)
THEN!!! FINALLY
go into more options on the Rip Settings menu!
select ur folder and press Rip CD!!!!
the fun thing of this now, is that you can pull these files on your computer and put it onto your Android device so you can listen to your hearts content without lugging around your CD in a player at high quality without any subscription service with free reign of who you can give your download to!
But Magenta! what if i have an iPhone?
ohohoo fear not bestie because iTunes on PC has an even EASIER way to do it
because simply putting in a disc with iTunes downloaded prompts THIS
Tumblr media
