The Crow Sisters — HCs

Warnings: mentions of sexual abuse, mental illnesses, incest, animal cruelty… pretty much a lot of inhumane stuff. Also this is kinda short? At least I’d say it is, so I’ll go into more depth in a separate post (whenever I finally get pt. 2 published lol)

Tilphousia (b. 1897) and Penthesilea (b. 1898), also known as the Crow Sisters, were members of the Carrow family, who were notorious for their pure-blood mania and their tendency to practice close kin marriages within the family.

It wasn’t uncommon for the Carrows to exercise more extreme methods of keeping their bloodline pure, with members sometimes engaging in avunculate marriages.

Even unions between siblings weren’t foreign to the Carrow family, although this mostly occurred during the family’s early history and was not as commonly practiced by the 1860s.

Due to the family’s constant inbreeding, many of its members fell subject to mental illness and physical deformities that would later cause the Carrows to reconsider their approach on keeping their family line pure.

They began arranging marriages with other families, but in spite of their newfound commitment in diversifying their bloodline, the defects resulting from previous inbreeding still lingered.

The sisters themselves inherited their family’s mental illnesses, such as Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD), which manifested in manipulative behaviors and profound lack of apathy.

During their youth, Tilphousia and Penthesilea took pleasure in harming animals, a chilling expression of their emotional detachment and burgeoning sadistic tendencies.

They were left to their own devices by their parents who were quite neglectful of the sisters, but in their early years, Tilphousia and Penthesilea were looked after by a caretaker.

The family could never keep one in their household for long because the sisters would often drive them away with their torturous pranks and psychological manipulations.

In their teens, Tilphousia fell subject to sexual abuse by her uncle Reginald, the father of Casimir and Lavinia Carrow. This was all before Reginald went on to marry his wife Claribel Nott.

Reginald was a charming man, the most handsome of his brothers. He was deceptive and cunning, with the ability to bend others’ emotions to his will without any detection of deceit.

Tilphousia fell victim to her uncle’s charm, believing his sweet words and tender gestures were a sign of love rather than his own twisted sexual desires.

She loved the attention that he gave her, especially since her own parents didn’t show such affection.

The Carrow sisters’ parents didn’t seem to realize Reginald’s attraction or special attentions to their daughter. If they did, it wouldn’t be likely that they would’ve cared much to say anything about it.

The eldest Carrow sister didn’t know what real love was, so she took Reginald’s attention for genuine affection. Although Tilphousia’s relationship with Reginald would soon decline when he forced himself on her.

Tilphousia was eighteen in 1915 when Reginald violated her during time away from the wife and child he despised. Afterwards, she became disillusioned by her uncle’s affections, realizing now his true intentions.

The only one who ever knew about this interaction between Tilphousia and Reginald was Penthesilea; the sisters having not told one else.

Shortly after this, Tilphousia and Penthesilea would find themselves marrying Melchior and Damocles Rowle. The men were brothers, with Tilphousia marrying Melchior, and Penthesilea marrying Damocles.

The Rowle brothers were like the sisters’ lap dogs, always eager to please and ready to do their bidding. They were completely and utterly devoted to their wives, who valued them as servants and nothing more.

Tilly and Silea refused to take on the surname of their husbands, preferring to keep their own while remaining undoubtedly in control of the whole marriage.

In 1927 when Grindelwald rose to power, the Crow sisters were one of the first to devote themselves to his cause. Tilphousia and Panthesilea were very confident in the dark wizard’s capabilities to reshape the wizarding world and overpower the muggles.

The sisters made a major contribution in helping to gather more followers for Grindelwald’s movement. One of the first followers they recruited was their own cousin, Edeva Carrow.

Edeva is three to two years younger than the sisters, being the eldest child of their uncle and Tilphousia’s abuser, Reginald.

The sisters’ aunt Carlibel Nott was thirteen when she was married to Reginald Carrow who was twenty-five at the time. Carrow hated his wife, treating her with cruelty and contempt.

He was the master and she was his prisoner, and although Reginald’s sick infatuation with his niece often kept his unwelcome advances towards his wife limited, the young Claribel sympathized with her niece who become a victim of her own uncle.

Unlike her more sympathetic disposition towards Tilphousia, Claribel took comfort in the fact that her husband had someone else to go to within the household that he could use to fulfill his needs.

When she was eight, Edeva began to be targeted by her father to please him physically, which was a routine she’d grow used to well into her early teens.

The Carrows aren’t exactly a tightly-knit family, especially due to the lack of fondness for each other. In spite of this, the sisters felt protective of their little cousin, particularly Tilphousia, who knew that Edeva was being abused by her father.

Knowing that Edeva strived to disassociate herself from the Carrows, Tilphosia and Panthesilea took their cousin under their wing and introduced her to Grindelwald.

The dark wizard saw much potential in Edeva and made her a close acolyte once she proved her loyalty to him. Because of this, the Carrow name was just as closely associated with Grindelwald as the Rosiers were.

his height is around 177 cm and 180 cm with his shoes/heels , he is quite tall, as he claims. is an Ambidextrous user but often uses his left hand as his dominant hand.

His birthday is around May 20, so he is a Taurus

His favourite Food is Gummy Strings and he hates any Bacon + Pancake mix dishes, He doesn't like that combination

He dyes his hair many times as possible, but at the moment, His hair is white + turquoise combo, He'll stick in that way

He is a Carefree and Chill student who got magically transported in the NRC, his first appearance is when Riddle and Azul is trying to catch Grim. Well Grim jumped to "Casimir" and he fell down. People assumed that "Casimir" owns Grim, and blah blah blah. Stuff happens.

He is great at Cleaning things up, but sometimes he ending up messing things up, which he dislikes it. "Casimir" Is quite decent at Academics works (usually great at creative works) but as a student who doesn't have any Magic, he struggles at magic-related subjecys ( Like Flight ) but he is eager to learn it. He can cook but can't bake, don't let him bake.

Casimir's Beast HCs

I said it would be a while before I posted something, right before I just sat down and wrote an entire scenario/imagine/headcanon thing. Strike while the iron's hot, I guess!

I haven't edited this much, I just wanted to post this while I still had the attention-span. Shoutout to anyone still into Monster Manor, I sure am. ✌🏽If you have any ideas or requests, my inbox is open as always!

-It’s hard to see on certain occasions, as Casimir tends to crouch and bend lower to the ground during his transformation, but he has a heart-shaped pattern on his abdomen, towards the side of his ribcage. It’s a pattern that shows on his fur more prominently, and shows up as a small birthmark in his human-form. 

-He’s embarrassed to admit or acknowledge its existence. 

-Casimir tends to walk on all fours, but standing up, reaches ~7 feet tall, and his steps are very long; He can close distances very quickly that way, which makes for a more terrifying thought. 

-According to Casimir, the deity that cursed him planned for him to act as “prey”. However, in the main story, and according to the tales of the Beast of Gevaudan, it seems more of a “predator” type of attack. So…I headcanon that Casimir was meant to be a prey animal, but his anger, grief, and frustration twisted the curse’s effects until he was lashing out at himself and others for years. 

-When confronted with your nature, a little bit of that aggression dissipates more and more, thanks to your self-preservation and the House’s refusal to let Casimir hurt you. Not that he would want to, anyway. 

-For the first few times after that first transformation, Casimir hides away until the curse passes. It’s hard to find him, as he moves to the more unkempt parts of the House to withdraw from you, not wanting to be seen, or risking hurting you. 

-However, as time goes on, you’ll find glimpses of the beast lurking around corners and walls. Not threateningly, but….Almost hesitant. Scared. He recoils from your attempts to reach out to him, and sticks to sniffing your hand and growling, before slouching away to sulk. 

-It takes a while for him to finally approach you…Looming over you in wait. Waiting for what? He doesn’t know, and neither do you. So, with caution but kindness, you talk to him, keeping your physical touch away. You assure him you’re not going to hurt him, you’re here to help, just like you always have. 

-It takes even longer for him to sit next to you, to sniff your hair and hand, keeping the sharp horns away, his teeth hidden and claws curled. The untransformed Casimir knows you, and knows your intentions. This beast does not, and so it’s building another relationship from the ground. Just….With a little more danger. Neither of you want to be hurt. 

-When you tell Casimir your progress, he’s…Baffled? Flabbergasted? Shocked, horrified- You get the idea. 

-”You’ve been doing what??” 

-He is not aware of any of this, and can only imagine glimpses of you if he really tries. When he transforms, it is out of his control, and his mind. 

-When the initial emotions simmer down, he’s not sure what to feel, or what to think. For 200 years, more than that, he’s been a threat and a danger to everything and everyone around him. And now, what you’re telling him is….He’s changing. For the better? It sounds impossible. 

-But, somehow, you’re a master of the impossible. And so it shouldn’t be that much of a surprise. 

-He makes another vow, and takes the effort, too, to make the House a better place. It’s the least he can do, but he wants to do something. 

-He still has many thoughts and feelings about his curse, too complex to get into. It sends him into bouts of silence sometimes, as he ponders over a project or task. He does what he can to make you feel safe and comfortable, and reminds you to please…Be careful. 

-And you do. The beast seems to understand that as well, still shy of your touch and apprehensive at best. But you can’t help but smile a little at the progress, seeing Casimir sleeping in a block of sunlight through a window. 

-There are things you might not ever understand, or see for yourself. But you can at least attest to one thing: 

-One step at a time, things are getting better for them both.

There’s lore for this! Mary’s the only one out of them who a) doesn’t have permanent leaking goop/rot/blood as part of the clan curse (Elaine’s in a state of permanent rot and tries to compensate with bandages, Casimir’s skin is hardened and always cracking open and weeping vitae, Adam has a similar problem on his shoulders and also frequently has to rip his mouth open to talk/feed due to flesh growing over it) and b) actually cares about looking decent in public (Athanasia and Iphigenia are a couple thousand years too old to care anymore).

Aside from Mary and Adam they all were also alive at times when bathing wasn’t frequent. Mary and Adam would both appreciate a nice bath. I like to hc that Adam tried to keep up with the grunge for the first few nights and ragequit lol.

I won’t stop anyone from giving them a good hosing though. Throw a couple dozen bath bombs in there for good measure. 😁

Nope! In fact I have very thoroughly thought out Misha's middle name and the lore behind it (partially because I headcanon him as trans, so his name is obviously an important decision to him)

Middle names are patronymic in Ukraine, he's going to get his father's name, despite the fucker being better fit as a sperm donor than an actual father.

But Misha has a rebellious attitude, and a forged birth certificate, so he can fix this.

So while his mother puts in Михайло (Mykhailo) on the birth cert, and asks about changing the suffix of his middle name (because it's gendered, translates to son/daughter of ___) he's like "actually, I've a better idea"

Because this is the fake one, and his adoptive parents will have no concept of Ukrainian naming customs. It's also the one the government will never find, so he doesn't have to stick to Ukrainian naming customs if he doesn't want to (and he doesn't, because his dad sucks).

Everyone but him and his mother will be none the wiser. But they know what his birth cert says, and they are the only people who need to know that at least on a sentimental and not-quite-legal level, that his name is Михайло Тамаравич Бачинський, Mykhailo (Misha) Tamaravych Bachynsky.

According to the government though, his name is Тетяна Олександрівна Бачинський, Tetyana Oleksandrivna Bachynsky

Noel Dorian Casimir Gruber

I think Constance's brothers (I hc there's two of them, fraternal twin boys) would have classic names like Constance does, but they can have cute nicknames like Connie. I've named them Matthew/Mattie and Alexander/Lex. Lex has a very similar personality to Constance, he tends to stick by her or his brother, and is extremely shy. He's not very vocal about his wants or needs, but Mattie was always ready to speak up for him if he needed it. Mattie is a complete social butterfly, and has enough energy and enthusiasm to make up for the timidness of his two older siblings. The second he learned to talk, he did not shut up.

Noel's mom is Roxanne, and to put it simply, she would lay down her life for her son (in fact she basically already has, if we're going by my idea of what happened with Noel's dad. And she'd fucking do it again) and sure, maybe she didn't deal with his coming out in the best way possible, but she does care about him and she just wants him to be safe above all else, and unfortunately in the situation they're in that means they have to barricade the metaphorical closet door just a little. I also headcanon that Noel has an older sister named Camille, she's about 7 years older than him and moved out without any indication of where she was going or where she might be now.

Misha's mother is Tamara, obviously, she's named in the musical. She was the coolest mom ever. She never cared about his grades in school (thought to be fair to him, he was a great student when he lived in Ukraine), she was always encouraging about his hobbies, and she was definitely the first follower of BagEgg on YouTube. She wanted to raise him to be as independent of her as he could be, and she realised once she got sicker that it was the best possible thing she could have done. She was very accepting of him when he came out as trans; well it wasn't coming out as such, it was 6-year-old Misha insisting he wasn't a girl and that he didn't want to be Tetyana anymore. She tried to help him as much as she could, and when she had to forge his birth certificate to get him out of the country she happily changed his name on it, if it meant he could live a safer life in Canada without any judgement based on what he was or wasn't born as. I also think Misha has a little sister, Lyuba. She also emigrated to Canada with Misha, but they went to different homes at opposite ends of Saskatchewan, and he hasn't seen her since.

Would it be stupid to have middle name headcanons for the choir?

Casimir is a soft boy with a dark gift/curse, who definitely would blame himself for injuries to his family. Which is kind of silly, because by him being sick as a kid, his mother stayed home while his father, aunt, uncle, and Mikey went out and there was the car accident where the adults died and Mikey survived.

But ever since gaining the gift/curse from the Order of Dracul/The Dragon, he's pushed himself to protect his family as much as he can, especially since he's a target now of malicious beings.

Renovating is pretty exhausting so of course a lot of work means a lot of rest. There's many ways to do so such as sitting down with some tea and snacks, reading together or to each other, cuddling or watching movies; either way you spend this time together quite often 

speaking of movies, movie and show nights! At first at least there might be more of Casimir nerding over the technology than watching though /hj. Someone just please show this man the Beauty and the Beast. Or Transformers. First one is self explanatory, second one I just think would be funny. Also maybe Howls moving castle. That might be super far fetched but I think he'd like studio Ghibli. 

Bonding with Mimi! Casimir really wants to gain back her trust and having you be there calms him Mimi. Though it's better than it used to be already there's still some tension between them and you're definitely helping. You also get to spend time with both of them so that's definitely a win!

You cannot convince me this man doesn't go into hour long rants and rambles about his interests after you asked one simple question. He can get pretty lost in it once he started and tends to get a little embarrassed about it once he realises. Cmon, he was all by himself for multiple centuries, he's not used to people being around. You encouraging him to go on, asking questions or referencing things he told you later on means a lot to him. 

Of course it goes both ways, he absolutely loves listening to you talk, especially about things you're passionate about and will try to bring it up again later or engage in your hobbies with you together. He genuinely wants to know about you and your interests, for one he hasn't really heard from/about anyone else for a very long time (not counting cats and buildings) and also you're, of course he wants to hear everything you have to say

Okay okay okay this one's my personal favourite: hide and seek.​ I actually might write a whole own thing about that at some point soon because it'd just be so much fun!​ The house is quite big with super many hiding spaces. Now it's not something he'd suggest and yeah it might take some force persuasion to convince him but if you ask him really really nicely hell probably say yes, or just annoy him till he agrees (even more effective if Rainier joins). Alternatively just hide somewhere so he has no choice but to search (you definitely gave him a heart attack the first time you did that)

Casimir is old fashioned (I mean- how wouldn't he be) so your regular date nights are pretty classic. Bringing him modern things from shopping trips. It started off by you bringing him something he was curious about after you mentioned it and quickly developed into a habit of you bringing him trinkets whenever you're out. His curiosity makes you much more aware of how interesting even little thins can be and soon turned to you coming back from trips out the house with a bag of things like toys, gadgets and other fun things from the dollar store or similar. You then spend the day looking at what you brought, how it works and so on. Imagine spending the day with Casimir trying out a bunch of toys you bought or found with your old stuff (the type for children, don't think wrong here)

adding onto this because I love the idea of doing fun childish things with him (you'd have to be the one to initiate them though, potentially ‘force’ him, but he secretly enjoys it). Silly sleepovers with pillow forts, movies, teeny magazines (I want to just hand this guy a stack of these teen magazines and see what happens so bad), and snacks! 

related a bit to the one above but spa days! He definitely needs some more self care. I do kinda think he likes stuff as skincare and and used to have a routine (nobility and stuff) he likely had to cut short or even drop it completely with the house's hostility. But now you're there and not only are there so many products your world has for this, it's also much more fun together, leading to entire days planned only for spa and wellness activities (like doing each other's nails, I have a little theory connected to Casimir and acrylic nails but that's all I'm saying on that)

An anon brought up that Casimir could've either been a child or really young when he first got his crown. I hc he was early into his ruling when Valencia suffered from the wars, and put his complete trust in Kane since he didn't know better at the time. The fact that he's known him for so long contributes to his faith in the Supreme Commander.
