Now we're going into some comics and magazines. I won't include Marvel stuff because well, they just operate under those grounds, that's kind of obvious.

MAD Magazine Issue #7 2019. I try to keep this blog clean so I removed a suggestion in the speech bubble.

Zé Carioca ISSUE 2404. It's a Brazilian comic in Portuguese about none other than José Carioca (Zé being a nickname) who is commonly known from the Three Caballeros in America. There's a one-page comic inside the issue. I only have this because of @sugarloaf-mountain so THANK YOU! (I will also link a pic of the untranslated one here because I just threw it in Google Translate)

What are the best stories you've seen that have a theme of forgiveness? If not strictly about forgiveness, then any themes along the lines of retribution, redemption arcs, or even "seeing through another's eyes" (I may or may not have rewatched Brother Bear recently lol)

Well, we’ve got all my old standbys. Cinderella, of course, is a story that really has forgiveness in it, because Cinderella wholeheartedly forgives her stepfamily for mistreating her. (Actually, she might be “forbearance,” not forgiveness.) But they’re completely off her hook. I think there’s a really great moment of forgiveness between Nick and Judy in Zootopia that gets overlooked. Frozen, with Anna and Elsa. Brother Bear is a really great example, truly! I love that movie.

I think some of my other favorites include the original A Star is Born, or even the Judy Garland remake. (Those also might be more “forbearance.”) I think one of the best examples I ever saw of forgiveness was in Avatar: the Last Airbender, which everybody knows:

And of course, ‘Til We Have Faces and The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis have some of the best-distilled forgiveness moments in any stories, ever. There are sweet ones in The Princess and the Goblin by George MacDonald, too, though they’re not as dramatic. In Anne’s House of Dreams, by L.M. Montgomery, Anne’s repeated forgiveness of Leslie’s coldheartedness or rudeness is a really simple but awesome example of day-to-day forgiveness.

I don’t easily think of a lot of good examples of it in stories. Brother Bear definitely has it, because without it, the story doesn’t work—Sitka wouldn’t help Kenai to learn from his wrongs, Kenai would’ve been killed by Denahi, Koda would’ve been left alone—but I don’t think forgiveness is the main focus of the movie. I think it’s a load-bearing component, but not the focus.

You’re making me want to see a movie that really homes in on that!

The thing is, I guess, for forgiveness to be the focus of a movie, there has to be a character that 100% definitely does the complete wrong, inexcusable thing to another character. Something that he deserves to be on the hook for. Then he has to acknowledge that he did the wrong thing and want forgiveness. And then the other character, the one who was wronged, has to willingly acknowledge that wrong and then let the offender off the hook. It’s not just “we’ll pretend this didn’t happen.” It’s both parties acknowledging that wrong was done, and having an exchange that ends in reconciliation. It’s got grace and mercy wrapped up in it.

Not many movies have true moments like this. Usually, one character is super sorry and the other character just seems to brush off whatever they did with like, a callback to an inside joke or something. (I���m thinking if Treasure Planet, to be honest.) Or, the situation necessitates that they put their conflict aside and work together, and then after the day is saved they sort of “get over” all that and swagger off into the sunset together.

As far as “redemption” goes—gee, all the old standbys! All the ones I mentioned above, plus Star Wars, plus East of Eden (the movie, not the book) plus, of course, my all-time favorite movie, Lilo & Stitch.

In Lilo & Stitch, you have the ugly little creature who belongs absolutely nowhere, is by definition a blight on nature and an abomination of existence, who was actively created to ruin everything. And he does it, and he takes delight in it. But there’s this little girl who gets pushed down, gets her doll chewed on, gets rejected when she’s most in need of his companionship—and she just keeps on loving him anyway. Because she’s chosen to, not because he did anything to deserve it. And then that infects him. That idea of family—of someone choosing to love you, no matter how ugly you are inside and out, and by choosing to love you, they create a place where you belong. No matter what. And that changes him. A germ from outside of him changes him from a literal world-destroying, home-shattering selfish monster into something new, something adopted, something loved.

I’d call it a story about committed love and grace, not necessarily redemption—because the focus of the story isn’t really “Stitch does something wrong but then through a process of pain and transformative struggle, redeems that wrong.” That’s not the focus of the story. But it’s still “bad character becomes good.” And I can’t help but talk about Lilo & Stitch once you get me started on it, sorry!

I think the best redemption stories are some of the ones I’ve listed above, plus East of Eden, Beauty & the Beast, and really, truly Sydney Carton from Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities.

And I think Kylo Ren was well on his way to being one of the best redemption stories of all time, if TROS hadn’t fumbled the ending so clumsily—but that’s another post for another time! I don’t know if this satisfactorily answered your question, but it was fun to ramble about and I’ll tag you if I make another post as more come to mind.

Winx Club Seasons & Movies Rating

This is just due to boredom, but... hehe I am biased as I grew up with the later seasons so. Going to rate them from worst to best, at least in the way I feel about them.

Even though its weird to rank the movies with the seasons, but trust me.

Season 8: I acually kind of enjoyed season 8 not gonna lie. The first half was misery but it got better when the Trix came in. Though there were only three braincells in that season.

Darcy got 1, Icy and Stormy each got half a brain cell, the Winx each got a sixth of a braincell, and the Specialists didn't get shit.

I feel like part of the reason I acually liked this season is because of the clip of Icy's backstory/her trying to save Sapphire with the Prime Star on youtube a long ass time before the season came out.

Season 7: I might just need to watch this season again, but I did enjoy it a decent bit. While in my opinion season 8 is misery in the first half and genually interesting in the second half, season 7 is just a constant "well... okay"

Season 5: I feel like season 5 would land below season 7 if I wasn't so emotionally attached to the first 7 episodes. I first watched them on a DVD that had them and both one of the first two movies (probably Magical Adventure) and I watched them so much.

This season was my first introduction to the Trix (also homosexuality) and this is also why I don't mind their Nick voices. Even though the Nick dub is... the Nick dub, I still like it for nostalgia's sake.

The Lilo episode and the Rainbow Horse something something episode were my favourite as a child and honestly it still is.

The pillar quest episodes of season 5 make me want to delete that part of the season, and how the episodes sometimes drag on to two episodes when it could've just been as one (ie, the gem episodes).

Musa's episodes were amazing.

Tritanus x Icy was... eh I don't have strong feelings about that. Love Darcy and Stormy getting disgusted by it though.

Mystery of the Abyss: This is nostalgia. I don't know what else to tell you... wait.

I have no idea when I first watched this season. I know I was a child but I have no idea how I got my hands on it. Wait. Acually might've been on TV nm.

Then this movie might've been my first introduction to the Trix. Either that or season 5. That's why my standards are low as hell when it comes to the later seasons. Either this or season 5. Most likely near the same time.

Nostalgia. I liked the scene of the Trix kidnapping Sky and almost killing Bloom because of how 'dark' it was. Also liked the idea of Oblivion. OOO and the opening scene where the Winx talk to the students of Alfea.

But the dancing scene at the end.... I want to get that out of my head.

Season 3: This is going to get me cancelled that I put season 3 lower than season 6 lol. But literally, I have no emotional attachment to season 3 whatsoever. I only found out it existed after I watched season 7 when it was just beginning to come out.

I only found out about it when I saw a thumbnail of an episode with Valtor on it and I was like... who the hell as that? I literally thought there was nothing between season 2 and the movies (don't ask why I didn't question the Winx having Enchantix I don't know).

And when I first watched the season as someone who was emotionally attached to a certain trio of witches, I saw Valtor and my little child brain hated him. I created a list of seasons I disliked season 3 and it turned into a "why I hate Valtor list" at the time. I was immune to his charm.

I'm currently watching the 4kids dub for season 3 and ugh I wish I either first watched it now when I could actually see Valtor as a good villain, or when I was still a smol child.

It's an amazing season and I'm trying so hard to form an emotional attachment to it. 4kids dub give me mercy for my sins.

Tecna's sacrifice episodes I love though.

Season 6: This was the first full season I watched (either this or seasons 1 & 2 I'm not fully sure which, but probably this one before). I immediately loved the mythology vibes as well as Selena's design, and the Dark Witch forms as well as Bloomix.

As the first season I had more of the first seven episodes with, I have such a nostalgic attachment to this season (more so seasons 5 and 4, but anyways). I can't bring myself to hate it.

(Literally mentally memorized the intro at the time to the point where I could play it in my head and visualize it to a T)

This was also the season I watched when I actually tried for my writing. I wrote little fanfictions in my notebooks for all the seasons up until this one, and I only started using dialogue and dialogue tags halfway through writing season 5 because I was afraid of making the characters sounds cringe.

I wrote all of season 6. No skipping episodes I didn't like, which is what I did for the earlier seasons I wrote. With dialogue. Angst. Actual character development.

Up until the Musa-getting-her-voice-stolen episodes as that was when I got more into publishing my writing and soft of left the others behind except for writing oneshots/short fanfictions in my notebooks.

You can never make me hate this season XD. I understand why it's bad and why people hate it, but my heart belongs to this season.

(Thinking of re-writing it, but honestly, that's not likely. Maybe a few one-shots here and there though)

Secret of the Lost Kingdom: This was the first movie I watched and it came along with the first few eps of season 4 on DVD. I still vividly remember watching it (once again, the Nick dub) and the beginning scene where the Winx are in robes and they transform into Enchantix still had my heart!

I really need to watch this again because it is so good. I had no idea that Domino was even dead though (watched this before season 1 and 2 sooo) so I just vibed with what was going on.

Mandragora scared me to death.

Loved the Ancestral witches though. Them and the Trix are some of the villains closest to my heart ngl.

Magical Adventure: This movie and Secret of the Lost Kingdom are close together, but this one I enjoy watching more currently. I remember as a child watching the Pixies get their village invaded by the Trix, and how Icy genually looked afraid of Belladonna.

I got robbed though.

Cause I watched the Nick dub which removed several scenes from whatever the original dub was (Dubbing Brothers or something I dunno). I didn't watch the Alfea celebration scene or the Winx chilling in Gardenia Park scene until two years ago and damn I felt betrayed.

I need to watch all the movies again I swear. Even Mystery of the Abyss.

Season 4: This was the second season I had the first seven episodes of along with a movie (season 4 came along with the Secret of the Lost Kingdom movie I think).

But even before then I saw the Amazon episodes on TV and that was my very first introduction to Winx Club. I remember watching the one where the specialists got captured and all. The dub I watched was the Nick dub for this season and not the Rai, so I favour the Nick dub of this season but then again I've only watched the Rai dub of it once.

AHHH I love this season.

Season 1: This season as well as season 2 was the first full seasons I watched after I watched season 6 all the way through. I was told that OH there are seasons that show the beginning of Winx so I watched them.

(I watched the Rai dub for this one initially and only found out about the Nick specials about a year ago. I actually vibe with them ngl cause once again, Nick voices + nostalgia)

I've watched this season so many times and I still love it. The angst! The dialogue! (Even though understandably it is a bit awkward and cringy at times but so sue me).

Not as much emotional attachment as season 6, 5, and 4 but I still really love it and it is so good. I vaguely remember when watching this season for the first time was that, the Trix are scary as hell, and two, that Lucy was gorgeous even without the disguise and I was so confused about the Miss Magix episode at the time.

Season 2:

I still vividly remember watching the first episode with Aisha trying to break into Darkar's fortress, but that's all I remember from watching this season.

The soundtrack is ingrained into my brain (ie, the song playing in the background while Musa is standing over her mom's grave) and the concert episodes I think (key word think) were my favourites and they still are. They're my comfort episodes and ahhh love them.

I found Darkar more tolerable than Valtor ngl, but as a child I still didn't like him too much since, again, my favourite villains were the Trix.

There's so many good things about this season and it's still my favourite one to watch.

(Also the Cloud Tower episodes are amazing).

No Jack Skellingtons or Syndromes either. I tried my very hardest to follow your "has to be good"-rule, which in my hands is "can't be written in a way to which the writer is either forgiving the character's shortcomings OR villainizing a specific mindset."

A villain with a genuine point to make can be a really compelling, tragic, WONDERFUL character as that's almost always some kind of person with a level of self-awareness, pain and even good in their heart still who has fallen HARD. A villain with a point can also be an absolutely horrifying obstacle for your heroes, because just like in real life, awful people will use your own faults and the preexisting misery of the world to justify their own actions.

Summery: Jake finds out the kids went into the caves and met the cave na’vi and that they are welcomed into the clan as friends and the sky people attack again and the Cave clan disappears off the sky peoples maps to protect their clan.

Gun shots fired through the air screams of many of the Na'vi echoed through the forest. Neteyam was the first to wake up out of all the Sullys he quickly shook his dad to wake him up which when his ears finally adjusted, he heard all the noise and quickly woke up his family and hurried and got them to safety.

You father understood what they were doing and readied everyone for battle women who had children were to stay in Underwent, women which were warriors were to help with the attack, your mother Tsahik stayed in the village to help the mothers with the children, while you, Weap, and Ne’yah got prepared for battle.

As you were getting ready to walk out Lilo tried to follow but you stopped her “I know Lilo, i know but you must stay here where it’s safe i’ll be back i promise” and with that you grab your Ikran and hop onto his back, flying through the air being about to see everything from above wasn’t something you do often.

As you and your Ikran soared through the air, Weap and Ne’yah were right next to you you all smiled to each other knowing this would be fun.

You turned and seen a helicopter “dive, i got this one” you said as weap and ne’yah dived, you turned your ikran around and dived down under the helicopter and turned your head to the sky along with you now that was already loaded you aimed for the blades doing the same to the other side hitting them perfectly swiftly flying high into the air to dodge the falling debris from the explosion.

You regrouped with weap and ne’yah still flying forward when you heard war cries from other na’vi that were just a bit ahead. you, weap, and ne’yah all followed suit allowing your war cries to come out of hiding.

When you three arrived to the battle field you split ways to get things done faster you ended up leaving your ikran behind and moving on foot for it would be easier to land a hit.

Though you skin was far more pale and you’re markings were pale blue you didn’t have a hard time blending in the forest around you.

you climbed up a tree to hit from higher ground you aimed your arrow at a man’s head, you breathed in and out and released your arrow, landing a perfect hit.

It went like for awhile until you seen Neteyam fighting people and he just happened to be fighting someone much stronger than him, you snuck up from behind and grabbed the man’s hair rolling him off neteyam and had no mercy when you knife sliced deeply crossed his throat, the man’s screams were heard and he started to choke on his own blood it was an instant kill you didn’t bother to look at the man dead on the ground and walked to Neteyam who was not staring at you in shock from what he just watched.

You held your hand out which he still took the look in your eyes now gone for when you looked at Neteyam the look you gave the man had now dissolved.

“scan the person your fighting style, then think of a way you could kick their ass or they’ll kick yours with no mercy, these people aren’t your friends, show them no mercy, only those loyal to the Na’vi deserve mercy” you said while looking him in his eyes.

He scanned your face, you meant what you said.

“understood” he said smiling at you causing a small smile to place itself on your face, your ears twitched hearing your brothers scream of pain.

you quickly turned and ran towards his voice seeing a man holding him with a knife to his throat, your eyes zoned in on the blood trickling down his neck, weap hissed at the man who only pressed the knife deeper into his neck causing weaps hissing to stop.

ears pinned to your head you grabbed the man and threw him to the ground, causing weap to fall to the ground as well, you claimed on top of the man stabbed him over and over again his blood landed on your body, only until you knew he was dead did you stop.

You stood and ran to weap “weap,” you bent down picking him up with his arm around your shoulder helping him support his weight “you okay?” he catch his breath “i’m fine thanks to you” you walked him far into the forest and sat him down.

“will you be okay here?” he nodded at you, you looked at the cut it wasn’t deep but just deep enough to draw blood “you’ll be fine it’s not deep,” you said standing up “i’ll be back”.

you walked back to the battle field and called your ikran and instantly took to the sky looking for your father.

when you found him he turned to you concern in his eyes “where’s your brother?” “he’s in the forest his neck it cut, it’s not deep though he should be fine but it’s best for mother to take care of him when we get back” he nodded at your words.

he shot a arrow at one of the men’s mask, the arrow breaking through the mask and stabbing him in his eye causing the man to shout in pain your father showed no mercy landing another arrow in his chest.

the other man dropped you and started backing away your father started lowering his arrow allowing the man to run, until another arrow hit the man in the back of the head, making him drop dead, your father untied you and hugged you close “are you alright” he started checking you for any wounds you smiled at him “i’m fine father”.

an explosion was heard and you and your father ran behind a tree that was knocked over taking shelter from the blow, once it was over you could smell fire and the air was full of smoke you father looked at you “let’s go get your brother”.

as you were in the sky you looked at the ground from above many Na’vi lost their lives, it pained you to see this must destruction at once, but you forced yourself to look forward and continue flying to your brother.

once you found him he was standing and smiled when he seen you, you held your hand out and he took it and hopped on the back of your ikran and made your way towards home.

upon returning your father had to tell everyone about the lives lost, many Na’vi fell to the ground sobbing in their hands because of there mates who didn’t survive the battle, their younger children confused and just holding them in comfort, the sobs could be heard through the caves, the sounds of the sobs could cause anyone who heard them pain, and heart break.

your father told the clan that you were going to disappear off the sky people’s maps and limit leaving the cave until it’s safer, everyone agreed it would be best.

the next morning neteyam and his siblings came to see you, you smiled at them sadly “what’s wrong?” neteyam was the first to ask “since i almost was taken and my dad barely managed to get to me on time, he decided it would be best for us to disappear off the sky people’s maps completely to protect us, until it gets a little safer for us” neteyam looked at you in shock “what do you mean? i won’t be able to see you again?” you looked away at his statement.

“not at this time, but i will find away to see you i promise, no matter what, just give it time,” you said hugging him

Hello! It's the Archangel anon again! I finally found the time to type out some "general" headcanons I have about the Archangels! Also, I'm sorry that even when trying to keep things short and sweet, I still ended up writing a damn novela🥲

Okay! A quick refresher first! Before he fell, Lucifer was an Archangel, along with his father (the Metatron) and his five siblings (Michael, Raphael, Uriel, Gabriel, and Zadkiel). We see, presumably, the other six Archangels during Lucifer's brief flashback in episode 5. I headcanon that the two angels with the biggest, most ornate halos are the Metatron (the leader of the Archangels) and Michael (the Metatron's second in command). The Metatron is on Lucifer's right, and Michael is on his left.

There! Nice and refreshed! Now for the others. The angel standing directly behind Lucifer, I feel, is Zadkiel. The angel on Michael's left is Uriel, and the one on his right is Gabriel. This means Raphael is the tall angel standing between Zadkiel and the Metatron.

Now for more detailed general headcanons. These are all a hodgepodge of actual attributes I found after researching the Archangels, along with ideas I liked and thought would work. To keep from going on and on about their personalities and stuff, I made lists of characters that reminded me of the siblings. Hopefully, that will give you a quicker idea of what I think these guys are like.

Michael (He/Him): Patron Archangel of Warriors (also chivalry, the sick, the poor, the suffering, and tradesmen ((grocers, bakers, fishermen, etc.))

Characters I associate with Michael: Zuko (AtlA), Hunter (The Owl House), Alucard (Netflix's Castlevania), Miles Edgeworth (Ace Attorney), Donatello (Rise of the TMNT)

Associated color: Royal Blue

Primary weapon: Shortsword

Bonus:

Tells everyone his favorite instrument is the harp

(it's actually the accordion)

(Lucifer is the only one who knows this)

Raphael (He/She/They): Patron Archangel of Healing (also travelers, lovers, the blind, and children/young people)

Characters I associate with Gabriel: Literally every single blue character Ben Schwartz has ever voiced, specifically Rise of the TMNT's Leonardo (I don't know why, but I feel in my bones that Hazbin Gabriel is a Ben Schwartz Blue Guy™️. Maybe it has to do with the association I have between Gabriel and the Greek messenger god Hermes?🤷)

Associated colors: White (and light blue)

Primary weapon: Glaive

Favorite instrument is the violin (he calls it a fiddle to annoy Mike)

Loves all his siblings but is closest to Mike and Kiki

In the event of a prank-war, he can either be your greatest ally or your worst nightmare

Can always get his siblings to smile and laugh no matter how down they are

Is his father's second biggest mistake

And that's the six siblings down! All that's left is the Metatron. But, to be perfectly honest, that piece of work is gonna need an entirely separate ask dedicated solely to him. Plus, I have another separate headcanon ask about Gabriel that I desperately want to type out first. So I'll have to get back to you about Old Man Meta at a later date.

I will say this, though, out of all the shitty dads that exist within the Hellaverse, the Metatron is on a completely separate level all his own.

Oh! Also, he and Roo have MAJOR beef with each other. The Metatron and the Root of Evil go way, WAAAAAY back🙂

I am writing them down. I might not use all of them, but they seem like a very good foundation to build on. I like all the little tidbits and fun facts about them too XD And specific relationships they have with each other.

Also, everytime I see Metatron I read it as Megatron and I'm surprised by it each time. What are Transformers doing in the Bible. Hahah, but yeah, I didn't even know of the Metatron until "Good Omens." Very interesting that he and Roo have some beef that goes WAY back.

It makes sense, in a way, but still 👀 I like it.

Wilder Minds by Mumford & Sons

Much like how “In Case I Make It” by Will Wood and DEATH OF PEACE AND MIND by Bad Omens, Wilder Mind takes a big jump from Mumford & Sons usual style of country/folk rock for more electronic pop rock. Where Will Wood and Bad Omens excel with the style change, Mumford & Sons doesn’t quite nail it. The songs sound good, yes, but they don’t quite have the same emotional impact as their previous albums. It may have to be another one of those albums I have to listen to again to give it another chance. 6/10

(Also retconning and making “Lies for the Liars” by The Used a 4/10, I liked like 4 songs from that album)

Lilo & Stitch

After not having watched it for so long I finally decided to actually watch this movie from the forgotten era. The movie was cute to say the least! Some parts were charming and hilarious (I think Jumba, Pleakly, and Bubbles had the best writing in the whole movie). What kinda irked me about it though was the tonal whiplash. There were parts that would be heavily comedic slapstick and followed up with very depressing moments (not the extreme degree of tonal whiplash that Hunchback of Notre Dame had). Still, it’s a cute movie with a good message about sticking together as a family. 7/10, have mercy on my soul

(Also Steve Blum was in this movie???)

Nightmare Kart

To preface this: I have not played Bloodborne ever, I caught glimpses of this game after seeing the reveal trailer of Micolash, seeing some wild idiot with a caged head running, and thought “Oh this is a FUNNY game”

Well fast forward and (after legal issues with Sony from what it seems), I have finally played the now Nightmare Kart, and I must say it is a delight!

The story is very befitting for a gothic horror kart race that takes place in a nightmare. The change in designs to be legally distinct from Bloodborne (Nicholas having a little bird in his bird cage is incredible). Gameplay is very solid and fun, using the echos(?) system from Bloodborne as a way to increase max speed. The campaign is also quite fun (apart from the capture the insight mission but I think that’s just me being mad cuz bad). The music is also incredible with my fave song being either Angel Graveyard or Miralodia College.

9/10 game, fave new game I played this year so far!

Oh, how desperate I’ve been to find nonexistence . . . the sweet bliss of erasing every hurt and failure? Not wanting to experience an eternal emptiness, while feeling too evil to accept mercy, I know that paradise is guaranteed. What good is such eternal joy when the provider has been my dartboard? Blasphemy and hatred painted every conversation behind my fake smile and action. Frustration and sadness overrode love and kindness. To exist as a grace project was too much for my ego to bear. Past tense gives room to extinguish worry. “Humility” looks good on paper. The human experience “justifies” being wrong ten trillion times. Were it not for their superior stubbornness, I would have blotted my soul out from the DNA of existence outright. If not for the fear of them, I would have done worse things than my putrid imaginations have dreamt of silently over the years. Because of tangible evidence and damning intervention, I couldn’t pull the trigger to eradicate my heart. How quickly history gets snuffed out by current iterations of self? So, don’t be surprised if I project low self-esteem and avoid praise. Like everyone else, I am atoms synthesized by those much more deserving of credit for any good than me. I continually observe how they look at me despite the lies and accusations I’ve brought against them. Crazy? If you’re “normal,” we shouldn’t be friends. I’m just a pessimistic fool caught up in the whirlwind of infinity’s purity and love. Our sources’ devotion is unbreakable. If I could have avoided such, I wouldn’t be alive to admit it.

Good Morning:

I wanted to drop these few lines with this reflection from Magi life ministries. The picture of Lilo and Stitch is a reflection of a true confession of believers. We aren’t perfect and often are broken while gathering together with those who seek help from a source greater than ourselves and whom has proven worthy of His promises and His ability to help.

He promises in Psalms 71:20-21

Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once more.

He goes on to tell us in Deuteronomy 30:3

And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

When you think of what is lost during trials etc. It is usually the sense of peace, sense of security, the sense of trust, perhaps we don’t think of these things that God restores. A person once told me they could see I found peace in religion I in correcting them expressed I have never found peace in religion but in the understanding God lead me to in regards to those things in my path. To understand what I experienced and experience grant the opportunity and opportunities to continue to experience the love of God and His ability for me. The restoring of heart, mind, body, and soul is often what God longs to restore in individuals everything else seem nothing when He restores within us the emotions and feelings that were damaged due to human folly, ignorance, sin and or evil circumstances and situations people faced in their journey.

The last picture is how God feels about family and why He asks us to pray for others, so they might experience the love of God for themselves and the freedom from the things that way them down.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6

Patience is a virtue that's often easier said than done, right? But let me tell you about Joseph, the guy from the Bible who can teach us a thing or two about waiting without grumbling. This dude went through some serious stuff but never lost faith. He was sold into slavery by his own brothers, spent years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, and endured all kinds of setbacks.

But through it all, Joseph kept trusting God's plan and stayed patient. And you know what? In the end, God totally blew his mind with how things turned out. Joseph became a powerful leader and was able to help a ton of people because he never gave up on God's timing.

Isaiah 30:18 says, "Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him."

So next time you're frustrated with waiting, just remember Joseph and keep the faith. If he can do it, so can we! Let's trust that God has a greater purpose for our waiting, just like He did for Joseph. After all, if he could hang in there and come out on top, then we can too! Keep the faith and remember that our waiting is not in vain.

I encourage you to maintain your hope and trust while navigating through this season of waiting without getting disheartened. Just as Joseph's perseverance led him to triumph, so too can ours lead us to fulfillment. Let this story inspire us to hold onto our faith in challenging times and believe that what seems like delay is often divine timing at work. Psalm 27:14 says, "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord."

Prayer for the Day.

Lord, grant me the perseverance to continue faithfully serving you while waiting for the fruition of my prayers. Strengthen my spirit so I may not grow weary but find joy in trusting you wholeheartedly. In Jesus' name. Amen.
