Ayurvedic Treatments for Sinusitis: A Holistic Approach to Healing with Ayushcare Medical Centre Sinusitis, characterized by inflammation and congestion of the sinus cavities, can cause persistent headaches, facial pain, and discomfort. While conventional treatments focus on symptom relief, Ayurvedic practices provide a holistic, root-cause approach to managing and healing sinusitis.
At Ayushcare, our Ayurvedic treatments address both the physical and underlying lifestyle causes of sinusitis, promoting long-lasting relief and improved respiratory health. Understanding Sinusitis in Ayurveda In Ayurveda, sinusitis is viewed as an imbalance in the Kapha and Vata doshas, which leads to an accumulation of mucus and blockages in the nasal passages. This congestion prevents the free flow of air and causes pressure in the sinus cavities. Ayurvedic treatments work to restore doshic balance and enhance the body’s natural defenses against respiratory conditions. hashtag #Bestayurvedacentredubai hashtag #Bestayurvedacentrenearme

Custom-formulated at Ayushcare, these herbal remedies help reduce sinus inflammation and strengthen the immune system to prevent recurrent infections.

I work in a specialized mental health facility and the ADHD anon has no place to be diagnosing people or spreading misinformation. There are plenty of reasons someone can dissociate for hours and not be productive, not just ADHD. Depression, trauma, current stress, even physical health conditions. And someone who actually has the disorder is highly unlikely to get addicted to the meds since they aren't getting a high from them like someone who is just taking Adderall to party or stay up studying for days before an exam. Some downsides seen with these medications are dental problems, dangerous lack of appetite, lack of personality or flat affect. But definitely not addiction in someone who needs it. I have an ex boyfriend who was a horrific drug addict and would periodically be medicated for his ADHD, his meds for it were probably the one substance I never saw him misuse cuz he felt no need to, it did nothing for him in that regard. Don't be afraid to talk to an actual medical professional and get help, the situation can always be something other than what you think and treatment/meds can always be changed if something isn't working for you. I hope you find the root of your problem, nobody should feel like their brain is against them :)
This was beautifully written honestly I read it like 3/4 times. I appreciate this. I love learning from people who understand these things. And I have taken the steps, am actively speaking to a therapist, and working through everything. What you said is somewhat similar to what she said. That it could a slew of reasons hence why the entire process first. She did, however, link me with a psychiatrist and I do have an appointment soon. It just sucks you know. I tried holistic medicine, including a lot of natural ingredients like Lion Manes mushroom but now I just need professional help. Thank you again for this, I will not hashtag it bcs I don't know, I don't wanna see this again haha not in a bad way tho, for me.

"Ayurvedic Harmony in Activism: Bridging Social Change and Holistic Wellness"
In today's interconnected digital landscape, the art of activism has evolved into a proportionate blend of passion, technology, and purpose. As a fervent advocate for prescribed alteration in my community, I have discovered a powerful platform that resonates deeply with my principles--Tumblr. In this article, we embark on a journeying of Ayurvedic concord within the realm of activism, exploring how Tumblr's dynamic ecosystem has get a bridge between societal change and holistic wellness.
Ayurveda, a system of ancient Indian medicine, emphasizes the interconnectedness of mind, body, and soul. Just as Ayurveda seeks to reestablish balance within the body, Tumblr activism endeavors to restitute balance within society by addressing systemic injustices. This inherent alignment highlights the profound potential for Ayurvedic harmony to flourish within the realm of digital advocacy.
The parallels with Ayurveda are evident--just as Ayurvedic remedies are crafted with precision to reinstate health, activists meticulously pastor their content to energize societal healing. By harnessing the powerfulness of trending tags, activists can propel their messages to the forefront of public discuss, fosterage awareness and sparking conversations that challenge the position quo.
The beauty of Tumblr's approach lies in its ability to make activism approachable. The platform's creative versatility allows activists to express their messages through multimedia formats, from compelling visuals to heartfelt poetry. This multifaceted approach mirrors Ayurvedic principles, which advocate for various healing modalities to accomplish holistic well-being. Just as Ayurveda recognizes that wellness cannot be achieved through a one-size-fits-all approach, Tumblr enables activists to reaching their audience through a diverse reach of mediums, resonating with individuals on a personal level.
Consider the front that aimed to address mental health stigmatization. By leveraging poignant stories, evocative artwork, and empowering hashtags, this campaign sparked candid discussions around mental wellness. The resonance between Ayurveda and this movement is evident--the campaign acted as a healing balm for society, destigmatizing mental health struggles and promoting holistic well-being.
In conclusion, the synergy betwixt Ayurvedic principles and Tumblr activism transcends mere happenstance. It reflects a deeper connection between the pursuit of holistic well-being and the quest for societal transformation. Let us remember that every reblog, every tag, and every engagement contributes to a harmonious tapestry of activism. Just as Ayurveda fosters equilibrise within the body, Tumblr activism seeks equilibrium within society, ultimately forging a path toward a world where holistic wellness and societal alter coexist in harmony.

Tumblr media
The Miracle Herb: Unlocking the Health Benefits of Withania Somnifera (Ashwagandha) – A Must-Read White Paper The Miracle Herb: Unlocking the Health Benefits of Withania Somnifera (Ashwagandha) – A Must-Read White Paper Withania Somnifera, also known as Ashwagandha, is a popular herb in Ayurvedic medicine, a holistic system of medicine originating from India. Ashwagandha has a broad range of health benefits, and it has been used traditionally for thousands of years to help with stress, anxiety, and various other ailments. Recently, a new white paper was released, summarizing the scientific research on Ashwagandha and its potential health benefits. In this article, we'll dive into the most important findings from this white paper and explain why Ashwagandha could be a game-changer in the world of health and wellness. The Health Benefits of Ashwagandha Ashwagandha has been shown to have a wide range of health benefits, including: Reducing Stress and Anxiety: One of the most well-known benefits of Ashwagandha is its ability to reduce stress and anxiety. Studies have shown that Ashwagandha can reduce cortisol levels, which is known as the "stress hormone," and improve symptoms of anxiety and depression. Improving Brain Function: Ashwagandha may also improve brain function and memory. One study showed that Ashwagandha had a significant impact on cognitive function and reaction time in healthy individuals. Decreasing Inflammation and Pain: Ashwagandha has anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce pain and inflammation in the body. This makes it a potential treatment for conditions like arthritis and other chronic pain conditions. The Science Behind Ashwagandha The white paper on Ashwagandha summarizes the current scientific research on the herb. According to the paper, there have been over 200 studies conducted on Ashwagandha, including both laboratory studies and human clinical trials. The research has shown that Ashwagandha can have a significant impact on stress, anxiety, and other health conditions. One of the reasons why Ashwagandha is so effective is its ability to modulate the body's stress response. Studies have shown that Ashwagandha can reduce cortisol levels and improve the body's natural defenses against stress. Ashwagandha also has antioxidant properties, helping to protect the body from oxidative stress, which has been linked to numerous chronic diseases. How to Use Ashwagandha Ashwagandha is commonly available in supplement form, such as capsules, tablets, and powders. When choosing an Ashwagandha supplement, it's essential to find a high-quality product that is standardized for the withanolide content. Withanolides are the group of compounds in Ashwagandha that have been shown to have health benefits. It's also important to follow the dosage instructions carefully, as taking too much Ashwagandha can cause side effects like upset stomach and diarrhea. Conclusion As this white paper shows, Ashwagandha could be a game-changer in the world of health and wellness. The herb's ability to reduce stress, anxiety, and inflammation, along with its potential impact on brain function, make it a powerful tool for improving overall health and well-being. However, as with any supplement, it's important to talk to your healthcare provider before starting to take Ashwagandha to ensure that it's safe for you to use. Hashtags: #ashwagandha #health #wellness #herbs #ayurvedicmedicine Summary: Ashwagandha, also known as Withania Somnifera, is a popular herb in Ayurvedic medicine with a broad range of health benefits, including reducing stress and anxiety, improving brain function, and decreasing inflammation and pain. Atlantoaxial Instability/Subluxation
My neurologist was very much against holistic medicine and I didn’t realize how much that would impact my condition. I have a serious chronic condition with my nervous system (my C1, C2, C3, C4, and C5 have the problem, but my nervous system is directly affected because of it) that isn’t well understood still. Essentially my C1 and C2 were lodged against my brain stem (choking it out and cutting of my nervous system from working) and as a result shutting down my nervous system. I was losing all my motor functions slowly and dying. At this time though, I didn’t know that. My neurologist had me tested, poked and prodded so many times with no success of a solution. She put me on some nasty medication that wasn’t helping at all. She refused to send me to other neurologist for help because she felt “she could help me and was the only one capable of helping me”. After months of unsuccessful treatment, she told me, “okay well there is only one route left for treatment and it’s going to be surgery on your neck and …” (more details I don’t wish to recall or remember at this point). I asked her if there was any other possible form of treatment, anything, because this surgery was highly invasive and risky. I had asked about holistic treatment options. Maybe chiropractic? Or any other option than such a surgery. My neurologist at the time insisted this was the only route possible and holistic medicine was a hoax. At this point I remember telling her at age 15 that I can’t do this and wheeled myself out of that appointment. She walked up to my wheelchair and stood in front of me saying, “Well if that’s how you feel, enjoy dying then. Good luck finding a doctor that can help you”. I remember looking at her and saying nothing. I couldn’t believe a doctor would even say something like that. Because of that neurologist, I spent more months going untreated. When I met with a different neurologist, he immediately gave me a list of dozens of possible treatment options if the first one he suggested didn’t work out and sent me to the doctor that would and still to this day be successfully treating me. Because of my first neurologist, I gained more permanent damage to my nerves that made my condition worse and chronic with only temporary relief from treatment. If I would have been pointed in the right direction right from the start, I would probably be in a better condition today.
Side note though: Last I checked, that specific neurologist got released from practice a year ago so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ served her right I guess

Using the same tactics as ‘Big Tobacco’, Juul may have intentionally targeted teens
After a hearing this week, members of the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Reform said that Juul, the ultra-popular e-cigarette brand, may have intentionally targeted teens in schools and online.
Based on 55,000 non-public documents out of Juul Labs, the subcommittee said that Juul’s Youth Prevention Plan recruited schools into a program that put Juul representatives and students in the same room. Schools received payment for participating in the program.
According to the release, one testimony put before the Subcommittee on Economic and Consumer Policy described a Juul representative telling students that vaping was “totally safe,” and recommended that one already nicotine-addicted student use Juul.
The subcommittee also reported that Juul spent $134,000 to set up a five-week summer camp for 80 children through a charter school, according to documents obtained for the hearing. The camp was meant to be a “holistic health education program.”
Dr. Robert Jackler, Stanford University School of Medicine, testified about his conversations with JUUL co-founder James Monsees, who said the use of Stanford’s tobacco advertising database was “very helpful as they designed JUUL’s advertising,” according to information provided by the subcommittee.
“The Subcommittee found that: JUUL deployed a sophisticated program to enter schools and convey its messaging directly to teenage children; JUUL also targeted teenagers and children, as young as eight years old, in summer camps and public out-of-school programs; and JUUL recruited thousands of online “influencers” to market to teens,” the memo states.
The company also turned to more modern methods. Using an influencer marketing program to “curate and identify 280 influencers in LA/NY to seed JUUL product” and find social media “buzzmakers” with “a minimum of 30,000 followers” to attend launch events for the company’s products.
JUUL shut down its social media marketing program in November of last year. While it closed its Facebook and Instagram accounts, the company’s products still circulate on social media through hashtags from users themselves.
Juul tightens up social media to focus on former smokers switching to e-cigs
Documents delivered to the Subcommittee show that JUUL was aware that its prevention programs were “eerily similar” to those used by the big tobacco companies (which were ultimately forced to pay states and the U.S. government  $27.5 billion in a master settlement agreement over their marketing and sales practices).
As we reported:
Juul currently sells eight different flavors of pods. Pods that don’t come in existing tobacco flavors — Virginia Tobacco, Classic Tobacco, Mint and Menthol — will be removed from all stores effective immediately. In other words, the only place to buy Creme, Fruit, Cucumber and Mango (Juul’s most popular flavor) is on the Juul website.
There, the company verifies that customers are 21+ by either cross-referencing information, such as DOB and the last four digits of a Social Security number, with publicly available data, or asking users to upload a scan of their driver’s license.
Responding to pressure from the Food and Drug Administration, JUUL has taken other steps to limit access and curb underage use of its products. The company pulled most of the flavored versions of its vaping liquids and has
JUUL also targeted Native American populations, where smoking rates are higher than the general population. Rae O’Leary, of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, testified that JUUL targeted Native American tribes to use as “guinea pigs.” According to O’Leary’s testimony, in exchange for a $600,000 investment, JUUL solicited tribal medical professionals to provide their devices to tribal members for free and collect information on the tribal members.
JUUL declined to comment at the time of publication.

#Repost @brothahassan The death of the beloved herbalist Dr. Sebi after he was arrested in Honduras under suspicious circumstances and caught a fatal case of pneumonia has rocked the homeopathic medicine world and left many wondering how and/or why did it happen But did you know that over 50 holistic doctors have died mysteriously over the past year? Some say that many of these doctors actually knew each other and were going to blow the whistle on certain cancer and autism causing enzymesthat are being put into vaccinations. OT THE KEY PLAYER IN PHC
As defined by the World Health Organization, health is not merely the absence of disease. Health considers the person holistically within their complete state of physical, mental and social well-being. Primary health care (PHC)  is essentially based on maintaining this state of well-being achieved through various factors such as lifestyles, housing, relationships, spiritual beliefs, income, and workplaces which are important indicators of health and well-being. As an upcoming Occupational Therapist I feel privileged to play a key role in this service delivery. There is, however, little knowledge on the expected role of occupational therapists within PHC practice. As a consequence of numerous economic and political issues the government has faced, the establishment of a strong primary care network has proven hard. This blog aims at unpacking the role of OT in PHC, hope it hit the bulls’ eye.
The PHC has greater role assigned with great responsibility which focuses on community with emphases on promotion, prevention and rehabilitative services. It is set to provide life skills programs, work readiness skills, individual task analysis In primary health care. Yet they have been poorly integrated in less manifested within the Kenville clinic this is because they might be running less on multi-disciplinary team at site. We as OTs possess the supernatural power, allow me to say to transfers basic rehabilitation skills to community members in the form of caregiver training to decrease the burden of care. The unknown role within the PHC still makes the flag hard to raise high. We still remain one of the key players towards the role of first line referral services and guidance to help people find their way into the system through clinics and community engagement in health promotion talks. OT’s presents with enormous  skills and knowledge in health promotion, different kinds of chronic disease management, individual lifestyle interventions, and adaptive equipment to benefit clients accessing primary care this was supported by LeClair 2005. So I guess it’s not far-fetched right? LOL
Tumblr media
The principles of PHC includes equity, community participation, social and economic development as well as interventions focused on the determinants of poor health. This is an important aspect that is needed in disadvantaged communities such as Kenville where they need  the role of PHC as a proved theory based on actions. This community should have information delivered to them and informed about the services, but we have covered lesser spectrum since we as practitioners mostly use social media for our personal benefit more than health promotion, prevention techniques, cure and rehabilitation that have been the core existing cornerstones of PHC, but we want to be the same as greedy politicians withholding peoples services. With the use of social media we could establish An integrated referral system to facilitate a continuum of care, teams of health professionals with specific and sophisticated biomedical- and social skills, adequate resources, and a client-centred approach is of vital importance. Service delivery and training of occupational therapists (OTs) need to be aligned with these principles of PHC to bring the best services to the public eye, but we keep blinding it by our old fashioned approaches that are said to be ineffective, I truly kid you not.
Tumblr media
Social media should be increasingly used in public health and health promotion as it provides many options for distributing research, ideas and strategies concerning health promotion. However, these interventions can also possibly increase health inequities for individuals who do not have access to or do not use social media but an area like Kenville with free WIFI from Ethekwin municipality, this leaves no room for excuses unless you just want save your phone battery .There are also other forms of media that can be utilised in the community, such as the local newspaper, includes radio, TV and social media (i.e. Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to name a few). In the community of Kenville, we now have Occupational Therapy students who work closely with the primary health care workers at the clinic. The most prominent services provided by the students includes health promotion talk, screenings of paediatrics and adults and provision of home-based interventions. Within the primary health care system of Kenville, the students can be seen operating with various structures such as schools, crèches & personal homes within the community to prevent disease and promote health.
As an OT student there are various ways that I can use media to not only promote health in general to also advocate for my profession. The media can be used as a form of educational platform to inform people on the services provided within the health care by OT . Health promotion can be done through various social media strategies such as creating hashtags on social platforms such as twitter based on current or relevant health issues. Media can be utilized in various form to bring awareness, advocate, and promote for health in social groups.
OTs can contribute to the health care profession and offer important services within the primary health care system. I believe we are highly capable of providing holistic and client-centred support and services to tackle problems in occupational performance areas & limitations in everyday tasks to the community at large. And the readily available resources that supports social media serves as a key to equip us to be one of the best service providers and having to advocate successfully for our profession. If you can use social media to get us to know all about your personal life, you can get social media to inform us about OT, health promotion and prevention within PHC.

I’ve been craving some fancy dairy-free nachos and this plate did NOT disappoint. The @CholulaHotSauce cashew sour cream took it to the next level 🙌🏼🙌🏼They were so good I might have made them twice already😬 This is one of those meals that will impress your friends and make you seem like a fancy master chef 💁🏻‍♀️but is actually super simple and can be whipped up in just under an hour. Although this recipe as written is vegan, swap out the beans and corn for ground turkey taco meat and you are good to go for a Paleo or Whole30 approved meal. [ad] MAKE THIS PLATE: CHOLULA CASHEW SOUR CREAM: (Adapted from @ohsheglows cashew sour cream) -3/4 cup water -1 1/2 cups cashews -2 Tablespoons lemon juice -2 tsp apple cider vinegar -pinch of salt -5-6 Tablespoons Cholula Hot Sauce (depending on how much flavor you want) DIRECTIONS: 1. Soak cashews in boiling water, for at least an hour. Blend all ingredients together in a high-speed blender until the consistency is smooth. 2. Sweet potato fries (I think they are easier to pick up than circular shapes): Preheat oven to 425, wash sweet potatoes, cut into wedges/fries, brush with avocado oil and use s&p. Cook for 40-60 minutes, stirring halfway through. 3. Top fries with: baby tomatoes, avocados, black beans, black olives, fresh corn, jalapenos, a squeeze of fresh lime, cilantro, and the Cholula sour cream

Dr. Christina Iglesia | Mental Health Patient Leader
2019 Best in Show: Instagram Finalist
On October 10th, 2018 (World Mental Health Day), Dr. Christina Iglesia launched the #therapyiscool mental health action campaign. Dr. Iglesia launched this initiative after several patients disclosed how they don’t disclose the fact that they participate in therapy, even to the closest people in their lives. Statements shared, like “My parents don’t believe in therapy” or “People would think I am crazy or something” continued to make their way into the therapy room. The theme of these conversations kept coming back to stigma, this implicit agreement that mental health issues are not to be talked about. It became clear to Dr. Iglesia that people will continue to suffer in silence until we make it socially acceptable to partake in mental health treatment, such as therapy. It is with this in mind that Dr. Iglesia created the #therapyiscool mental health action campaign, with the intent to encourage authentic and open conversations about mental health.
Find out more about Dr. Iglesia’s mission and add her to your feed.
@cinnamillie_ | Eating Disorder Patient Leader
2019 Best in Show: Instagram Finalist
After being diagnosed with the most deadly psychiatric condition (Anorexia Nervosa) at the age of 15, Millie went against all odds to become the inspiring young woman she is today. Born and raised in a little South Yorkshire town in England, Millie personifies the “she may be but little, but she is fierce” quote by Shakespeare. Since creating her Instagram account to go in-depth about her mental health struggles, Millie has amassed over 11.5K followers, as well as finding love through her account too. Millie explains the ins-and-outs of having anorexia, whilst also going into the nitty-gritty areas which are too “taboo” in society, such as the physical effects of eating disorders, the hardships that arise from weight restoration and the suicidal ideation; but, Millie manages to twist this into a positive, encouraging her followers to fight against the cruelty of eating disorders, revealing what her life is like with the illness (mostly) not in her life anymore.
Add Millie’s motivational voice to your feed.
Natalie Kelley – @plentyandwellwithnat | Ulcerative Colitis Patient Leader
“There were moments in that hospital bed I thought I would never be where I am at today – running my own business, helping other women with IBD and connecting with the most AMAZING IBD community on Instagram. But most importantly, I’ve learned that an autoimmune disease doesn’t make it harder to reach my dreams, it adds TO my dreams because without ulcerative colitis I wouldn’t have found my passions, I wouldn’t be a holistic health coach, I wouldn’t have the amazing community that I now have and I wouldn’t be able to change other IBD patients’ lives, and that is truly priceless.”
Want to learn more about Natalie? Click here to follow her.
Arafa Salim Said | Sickle Cell Disease Patient Leader
Arafa’s biggest advocacy aim is to move toward a sickle cell-free Africa in future generations. In the meantime, she promotes healthier, stronger, and more supported living with sickle cell disease. Specific objectives include country-wide pre-marital sickle cell testing, promoting literacy for young people with sickle cell, and increasing the standards of sickle cell care. Through instagram, twitter, facebook, youtube, and other social media platforms, she is able to build a large digital community that can work together toward these aims. Her digital media advocacy also offers inspiration, education, and advice for Tanzanians living with sickle cell disease. Her hope is that her efforts will lead to a brighter future for the next generation of Tanzanians.
Check out Arafa’s important advocacy work.
Megan King @thetravelinghaloofhope | Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Patient Leader
“Becoming an advocate for EDS happened by chance. My journey began in Sept. 05′ at 16. I can’t believe 1 decision changed the trajectory of my life forever. I’ve endured 35 surgeries due to EDS with the next 1 scheduled for Sept. 19′. Due to limited resources I wrote about my journey in the hopes to connect with others. I want to be a small part of the solution for EDS treatments. It’s classified as rare but it really isn’t. No two cases of EDS are the same. This can make diagnosis difficult because there’s no “face” to EDS. We are all unique individuals with our own unique presentation of symptoms. As I wrote, to my surprise, people responded to what I was sharing.”
Follow Megan and see the important work she’s doing.
Rachel Straining – @thenoglutengirl | Crohn’s Disease Patient Leader
“When I was first diagnosed, even though I knew it wasn’t true, I just felt like the only person in the world who had this disease. I didn’t realize that there were other people out there who were fighting battles so similar to one that was waging war within my own life. ⁣One day, I made the random decision to make an Instagram account to find some gluten-free food inspiration. That day, I also found myself searching the hashtag “Crohn’s Disease.” That day, I realized that, all along, I had never really been alone.”
Add Rachel to your feed and stay updated about her advocacy.
Lucy Johnbosco | Diabetes Patient Leader
“I have been using my Diabetes experience as a Type One diabetes patient to motivate and inspire others who have lost hope.”
