It’s late, I’m trying to clear my head enough to go to sleep, and I suddenly realized something: there’s a continuity error at the end of Groundhog Day, of all things.

During the loop, Phil uses the money he takes from the armored car to buy piano lessons. At the banquet, the lady who taught him excitedly brags about it.

There’s just one problem with that.

In order for her to know who taught Phil to play the piano, he must have hired her during that specific loop.

However, there’s no evidence that he stole the money during the final loop, thus breaking the chain of events that led to her teaching him.

Either she has a ripple effect proof memory or Phil is about to be arrested once the police put 2 and 2 together.
