Ohh i could not stop thinking about the one commercial with the Wally plush!! Where he says "Groovy", "Far out", and such!! And if you look up "70's background" There is just soooo much aesthetic suiting of Wally!! So i really really wanted to dress him up in some Groovy clothes!! The fish shoes were his original shoes, but i made them an alt cause they are hard to draw! pfffft! Wally can Dance! He can teach You how to Dance!

Alternate blue glasses, i could not decide on the color of his John Lennon's, so he can have many pairs! Oh and he definitely has a wide wardrobe!!

Welcome Home - Springtime Salutations ! - A collection of every secret I could find

⚠️SPOILERS AHEAD!⚠️

This post is a collection of all the things I discovered during my exploration of the website. I'm not going to delve too much into theories, this is more of a list of curiosities with a pinch of speculation. Buckle up, this will be a long post! Enjoy!

1 - Where's Wally?

Where did Wally go?! Oh No!! It seems our beloved puppet went missing! Seriously, this is very strange, and probably the first thing everyone noticed when loging in. Instead, Julie is here to welcome us. Hello Julie! :)

Most noticeably, Wally is missing from the front page, the Guestbook page and the Welcome Home page. His absence is also alluded to in the Storybook "Sweet Briar". So... Where IS Wally? We'll come back to this in a minute.

2 - The page is still breathing

Look very closely, the image is still... breathing. This phenomenon was added during the homewarming update, however it's interesting to note the image still moves even after the outfit change, and after Wally's disappearance. Very unnerving.

3 - Audio Distorsions

I managed to find 4 instances with audio distortions, specifically in the storybooks.

You can find two of them in "Springtime Salutations" (0:26 & 11:35). And the last two are heard in "The Julie Guide to being Joyful" (4:06 & 5:19)

4 - Missing page

In the storybook "The Julie Guide to being Joyful", here you may notice there is actually a missing page, it seems to have been ripped off! Not only that, but the audio distorts right as we're supposed to read the missing page. This section might have been supposed to be about Frank. How curious!

5 - Goo be upon ye!

That mysterious goo is still everywhere! What I find very interesting is how it always seems to be present where some nefarious, secret stuff is happening. It's like an infection.

6 - New... Friend?

Hello there little guy! You seem... quite curious. The page is burned away you say? Strange, usually the damage is made by paint and ink. Let's keep them in mind for later, shall we?

7 - The Neighborhood

There is our good old familiar Neirborhood, beautifully blooming for spring time! Except... What's this? Look at the center. When you open the background image in a new tab, as ususal, you can see what's underneath Home. Here, it appears that the Welcome Home Restoration Project did their best to block out the black goo from pouring out, by scribbling on the hole. Is this why Wally is missing? Because they're trying to keep him away?

It might not be working as well as intended, because now, some sort of dark void is creeping out of the forest. Look closely That definetly wasn't here before. Something is desperatly trying to seep out of the website. But I digress. Why don't we click on home to see Wally's profile?

8 - Finding Wally

Oh! That is... very much unusual. They took Wally's canvas away, and most importantly, he is not looking at us anymore. Whoever is behing WHRP is doing their darn best to keep him at bay.

But that's not all! His audio changed too! It's a phone ringing for about 40 seconds. Hm, a phone ringing huh? Maybe a hint? Where have we seen a phone we can interact with on the website before?

Bingo. Go to the Toys page in Discoveries, and then click the red button, it will take you to this secret link. We found Wally!

There, Wally sounds... rough. His voice is quite distorted, and Home is there as well. I strongly advise you to listen to the whole thing, our beloved puppet has a LOT of things to tell us. Most importantly, he is sending us on a quest.

"Gather good words from the flowers."

... Hm.

You know where this is going. Here we go.

9 - The Floriography Puzzle

OH BOY OH BOY. We finally arrive at the meat and potatoes of the update. Strap in, this one was quite tough to crack. Let me walk you through the process.

First of all, what is Floriography? Floriography, or “the language of flowers,” was a popular Victorian fad in which specific meanings were attributed to different plants and flowers, specific words.

Knowing this, we are going to need two things : First of all I recommend using this website, it has a solid list to help you decode that flower puzzle. Then, we need the board game cards from the WH website.

Now that we have our decoding tools, we may begin gathering the flowers. To do so, you need to spot them in the website's new additions. Then after spotting them, you need to translate their meaning using Floriography ! Don't worry, I already did the work for you, here's all the flowers I could find :

Storybook - Springtime Salutations : Trefoil, Iris, Oleander = Revenge, Message, Beware

Storybook - Sweet Briar : Quince, Osmunda, Hawthorn = Temptation, Dreams, Hope

Storybook - The Julie Guide to being Joyful : Daffodil, Moonwort, Belladonna = Regard, Forgetfulness, Silence

Food - What makes the Flowers Bloom : Daisy, Bluebell, Witch Hazel = Innocence, Constancy, A spell

Music - "Devotion" Album cover : Helenium, Rosemary, Dahlia = Tears, Remembrance, Instability

There we go, fantastic! But now, what do we do with that big bouquet of words? That one took me a while to figure out : We need to find secret links! The way to do so is rather simple once you figure it out, at the end of the WH web adress, type in the words you decoded from the flowers in order of their appearance.

This will lead you to hidden links! Videos, to be precise. These videos are all part of a story focussing on Julie, I won't say anything else, just watch them! No worries, I've prepared all the links for you, in chronological order too ! Enjoy the show, neighboor :

10 - Super secret link

One last secret link to find. If you take each first flower word of each link, in chronological order, and then assemble them, you may find one last (to my knowledge) secret link! This link leads you to an image. Frank is looking directly at the viewer. It's not the first time this happened, curiously enough, if you remember the Homewarming update.

11 - Awayfrompryingeyes

Let's end this with a visit inside W's eldritch horror-proof bunker website, Away from Prying Eyes.

Here, you will find three new entries from our mysterious "W". One of them is titled "April 12, 2025" a general update on their situation, which seems to have gotten better according to W.

The second one is titled "Joy", and features W trying out the so called Joy Soda. You can see the advertisement for this drink in the Food section of Discoveried on the main website.

Oh... that's... Hm.

W, sweetheart, we appreciate your dedication to the cause, we really do, but I really don't think drinking something that was made in the 70s is a particularly good idea.

And finally, most interesting of all in my opinion, we have an entry titled "Toy Box". In this, W wrote about this so called toy box, expressing their excitement about recieving such an object. They then post a picture to show us. At first glance, the picture is completely dark... but with a few adjusments...

There it is. From what we can see, there seems to be some kind of green leaf motif here, with the characters "GLE ' " at the bottom, and what I think might be the MARLO logo on the bottom right. Beyond that, we can't really make out anything else. Fascinating, thank you W. Please don't sink further into madness.

in reality of the welcome home world, Wally's two older brothers finally find him after being separated as children

Barry being the eldest, and Danny being the middle child.

Barry is an inventor whose quiet, smart, and sometimes grumpy. in reality hes not much of a talker and only really talks a lot when its about engineering or his inventions. he has a talking tool box named Redd who seems to have no bottom, and has an ENDLESS amount of tools and supplies for Barry, all barry needs to do is ask for the right one!

Danny is a musician with a talking Van/Buss named Frizzy (reference reference) he's been traveling the world and learning about different cultures and writing music! hes more worldy and knows a lot about various cultures in the world, and loves to talk about his travels! hes FAR more of a yapper than his two brothers. he has more energy as well, being more hyperactive and happy at times, but more relaxed and groovy at others.

both of the brothers arriving in the neighborhood seem to be causing odd events occur... they also seem to be just as eerie as wally is when left alone. Danny speaking in odd symbolic poetry and making references to things he would or should never know, and barry seemingly making odd contraptions or writing letters in his sleep...

seems absurdity runs in the Darling family...

An example of a music video that influenced pop culture: Jamiroquai- Virtual Insanity

Hey everyone, I had this clip in mind for a few weeks and also had it a few years ago in my instagram feed spoofed in different pop culture references especially in internet memes by recreating the caracteristic move of Jay Kay when he is just sliding towards the camera and keep doing the same in various directions during the whole video. Jamiroquai is a Soul Funk, R&B, House band created in 1992 and was composed initially of Jay Kay as the singer, Toby Smith as the keyboardist, Rob Harris as the guitarist, Derrick McKenzie as the drumer and Wallis Buchanan as the didgeridoo player (similar to a long flute but comes from Australian Aborigenes). The video remains iconic: you have Jay Kay sliding around in a strange room covered in white boxes as I said previously, you have people (these are the other band members btw) and sofas sliding too, you have cockroaches and blood (maybe coming out of the sofas) and that's all to summarise the video. Now for the lyrics, you have this really striking element sang by Jay Kay: This dystopian future ruled by technologies and people living in an insane virtual reality (cf. the title). "Futures made of virtual insanity Now always seem to be governed by this love we have For useless twisting of our new technology Oh, now there is no sound For we all live underground" … I must admit that I did not really care for the lyrics the few times I had this song in my ears especially when you have this groovy theme that could cover your understanding and make you focus on the rhythm rather than the speaking but when you watch the video it makes sense really. As an influence in pop culture, you have the king of the cover versions named Pitbull appearing with Austin Mahone - Mmm Yeah (not the best cover you could find, not going to lie) You also have a TV Promo made by Chris Rock parodying the same move for MTV Awards. I could not list the tons of millions internet memes covering social media so I let you choose the one that suits you ! In a nutshell, Jamiroquai did find a way to get remembered as an iconic song and move not only from his lyrics but also for the several ways he has been spoofed up to now !

The party was getting crazy. The dancing, singing, and the loud music, it got crowded fast. I kept bumping into people while trying to get to the table "sorry, sorry,oh sorry" I kept apologizing. I kept going until I was shoved but got caught by someone, I looked up to see that it was the blue dog "nice to see you again groovy person you good, you seem a bit out of it" he said as he helped me stand up "oh I'm so sorry, sir" I apologize and looked down in shame "woah chill down, accident happen and sir, HA! Just Barnaby baby is fine" he said be for taking his hat off to bow down in a joking way "hehe, thank you Barnaby for catching me" I said "any time, oh your hair, it's becoming undone, probably from all the fun and dancing huh" he pointed out "what!?" I was trying to get to the table hoping to see my love to give them the gift I got them but no, only Barnaby "hey there little buddy" he said "hello Barnaby, have you seen my beloved" I asked "them? Oh yeah they headed towards the town, the poor thing looked like they needed some air" he said a bit worried "oh, thank you Barnaby I'll be off then" "wait!" He said holding me back "they dropped this" he handed me a hair clip that looked like a beetle "thank you again" I said as I rushed off after them and made it into town

"Darling, where are you?" I looked around for my beloved after we got separated during the dance

"If you ask me, I think your date-friend is a bit too quiet" the worm called Home said suspiciously "they're not my date-friend they're my partner" I corrected Home as I showed off my ring "I'll keep an eye out for them" Home said before popping out my eye that I caught.

"Darling?" I looked around "there they go, there they go,! They're-they're getting away!" Home cried as I saw something white go past the skeleton horse statue. I put back in my eye as I rush to follow

After a while I lost track of them again until a shop owner pointed me toward their direction "thank you" I said before following "dear, where are you?" I called out near some coffins until I saw a spider "hello there Miss Widow how are you?" I asked her "oh I'm doing just wonderful! This person wearing a wedding dress complimented my weds now I'm inspired to make a new one" she said "oh how lovely by any chance you saw where they were going" I asked "yeah, they went a little more that way" she nudged her head as I thanked her and walking off

"Dearest, darling" I shouted before seeing another corpse sweeping "excuse me sir have you seen my partner" I asked "the breather?" He asked as I nodded "yeah they went that way, they're a nice one, they helped me when my head fell off" he said as I walked away. With all the compliments my partner was getting I feel even more in love 'they're just so sweet, the sweetest!' that thought made me more excited to find them as I skipped off until and stopped at a ledge seeing them walk up the stairs

I rushed up the stairs to join them, noticing them in trouble, with their veil off trying to fix their hair "hello dear" I said quietly giving off my presence softly as they lifted their head up "oh, hello" they said shyly "isn't the view beautiful? It takes my breath away, well, it would if I had any" I said jokingly as I saw them giggle before looking at the view "isn't it romantic?" I said placing the present down and sat next to them being careful of their vail "why keep your hair up?" I asked as they kept struggling to keep their hair back "my Aunt wants me to look perfect and that my hair was a distraction..." They said sadly "but I would like to see! I'm sure you look wonderful" I said curious "but... but it'll look improper" they said "it looks like it hurts from how tight it is" I finally blurted out stunning them "I-i... okay" they finally agreed letting it flow out as it naturally curled "oh my!" I said placing my hand over my mouth from shock "I guess my Aunt was right, it is bad" they said with a sadden smile "OH! no,no,no, your hair is, oh gosh, wait give me a sec-" I grabbed their vail and placed it on them "there... wait one more thing" I said as I grabbed out the beetle and clipped it in "there the gold beetle really compliments you" I said "oh, gosh I didn't realize that I dropped it!" they touched the clip in disbelief "I was right, you look wonderful" I said seeing them blush a bit.

"I-I'm sorry for what had happened to you and for everything but I must get home soon" they said looking down again "but this is your home" I said trying to convince them "but I don't even know your name and you don't even know mine" they said instantly "well that's a great way to start a marriage" Home said in my head "shh, shut up" I said realizing I said that out loud look at them as they gave me a wide eye stare, I giggled out of embarrassment "it's Wally Darling" I answered "Wally" they said 'gosh I feel like if my heart could beat it would burst' "now what is your name darling" I said "oh... It's Gold... Gold Treasure" they answered 'even their name is unique' I snapped out of my thoughts realizing I forgot some thing as I grabbed the gift

"it's a wedding present" Wally said giving me the present topped with a bow, the box was light but something was moving and clanking inside. I was shaking, wondering what was in it "thank you" I said to Wally when he lifted the lid showing a skeletal cat as it jump out as I dropped the box. It landed on my lap looking up at me I then looked at it's pink collar, checking out their name tag I realized who it was "Rascal?" it meowed "RASCAL!" I cheered as Rascal rubbed his head on my face "my cat, Rascal!" I was happy to see my childhood friend again

Rascal walked off my lap to Wally's as he pat him causing Rascal to purr "oh, what a cutie" Wally said "even without fur he is still so cute" I said remembering the yellow and green fur Rascal used to have "Aunt never liked Rascal, she never approved anything" I said "do you think she would approve of me?" Wally asked "you're the luckiest that you won't have to meet her but..." I stumbled off "maybe you should meet Papa... since we are... well married I do think you should meet him 'and it gives me the chance to talk to a friend' "... we should go see them" I said "oh, what a fantastic idea! Where are they buried?" Wally asked excitedly making me realize that my biological parents were buried back at my old town and that Papa lived in the living world as I tried to think of a response Wally could seem to read me "what? What is it?" He asked "well... they are not here, at least..." I stopped from continuing "where are they?" He asked as I pointed up to let him know "oh, they're still alive" he said "I'm afraid so" I answered

It was until Rascal meowed at Wally getting his attention "what is it Rascal?" Wally asked my cat as Rascal meowed again "oh, no, we couldn't possibly" Wally said only to be cut off by Rascal's meow "oh, well, if you put it like that" Wally said

"What did he say?" I asked Wally

"Frank Frankly"

"Frank Frankly... are you there" Wally shouted as he took me through an ancient looking library with books and papers scattered everywhere "hello, is anyone home... hello?" Wally kept searching for Frank 'wait I know that name" I thought to myself before nearly tripping over a book. Seeing how messy the room was, I didn't want to step on any books or paper that might be important so I start to pick up a few and placed them on a stack when some crows start to fly past me making me close my eye for a second, when I opened them I saw another corpse with grey skin, black hair, purple suit, glasses, and his left arm and side rib cage had decayed.

"There you are!" Wally exclaimed cheerfully running to Frank "oh, my dear boy, there 'you' are" Frank said annoyed "I've brought my partner, Gold" Wally said happily showing me off to Frank who took a look at me shocked before spinning his head around really fast "WHAT!PARTNER!" He said before stopping his head with his hands before taking a closer look at me "and you're alive! how are you here?" He said as he grabbed my face to inspect it "this is remarkable!" He said as I looked at him 'wait now I remember' "um exhausted me Mr. Frank but is Frankly your surname by chance?" I questioned when he let go of my face "yes... it is, how did you know that?" He asked looking at me suspiciously "so you are Eddie's husband! Your Frank Dear!" I said excited "wait! My husband, how is he? is he okay!?" Frank said as he grabbed my shoulder a bit rough "um Frank be careful of them, they're fragile" Wally said worried "Eddie is alright, he's been with me whole life, he always told stories about you and him" I said as Frank hands loosen their grip letting me take them off my shoulders before gently holding them both in my hands "he would tell me how much you made him happy and how much he missed you, he loved you so much Mr. Dear" I said when Frank gave me a sad smile when I released his hands "thank you" he said before turning to Wally "now what do you need" he asked Wally

"We need to go up, upstairs? To visit the land of the living" Wally explained "land of the living? Oh, my dear boy" Frank said looking down pinching his nose "please Frank" Wally begged "now, why go up there, when people are dying to get down here" Frank said sarcastically "please Mr. Dear it would mean so much to us" I said making him soften a bit "I don't know, it's just not natural" he replied

"Please, Frank surely there must be something you can do" Wally begged again before Frank gave in "okay fine, let me see what I can do, where did I put that book? I left it somewhere" he began looking everywhere for a certain book "left it here somewhere" Frank started to through books around looking while me and Wally catched them and placed them on different bookshelf "oh! There's the one!" Frank held a large maroon book before coming back to us and started to search though it "ah there's the one, I have it, a Ukrainian haunting spell, just the thing for these quick trips" Frank explained "so glad you thought of this" Wally joyfully whispered as I nodded

"Now, then where were we?" Frank asked

I was working on one of my projects when Poppy came in "oh hello Poppy what brings you by?" I asked "oh dearie I have such news, Wally has finally gotten married" she said with excitement "really? Wally finally got married?" I was shocked no I have never really talked with the others only customers that come in but Poppy along with Sally have been my top costumers and close friends, letting me know all the gossip that's happening around so I know who Wally was and how he dies even if I've never met him "thats wonderful who are they?" I asked "you won't believe this but they're a breather!" She said shocking me "a breather!?, wow that's new" I said focusing on my project "yes dearie and looking at them reminded me of something" she said "what was it?" I asked trying to get the stitches straight "they wore what sounded like the wedding dress you made dearie" she exclaimed

I stood up straight 'my dress!?' "what did it look like?!" I said frantic but trying to stay calm "oh, it was white, light blue ribbon around the waist, it has sleeve with pearls on top along with the top part of the dress, they were beautiful" she said joyously I quickly turned to her to ask her something serious "did they have a white choker with ruffles and a blue gem?" I asked "but of course" she said as I realized what this meant 'no one knows about the chokers, no one knows except... damn it! those two of course they stoop that low!' I slapped my head "oh dearie are you alright" Poppy asked "yes... I am" I said trying to go back to my work "no you aren't dear, something is up in that head of yours" Poppy said as she walked closer to me "they're your younger sibling, the one you were forced to leave behind isn't it" Poppy placed her wing on my shoulder as I stopped working placing the needle down "where are they?" I asked wanting to reunite with them "from what Sally told me, the couple left to the living realm" Poppy said as we walked towards the shop's door "oh... hey Poppy" I said "yes dearie?" She said "please let me know if they come back please, I would love to see them again, more then anything" I said giving Poppy a hugs

"Of course... Jewel" with that she was gone

So I'm not completely done with the update, but wanted to give some thoughts (mostly me gushing on lol) on the general stuff~

Putting it under a cut, in case some folks still haven't had the chance to see the update.

So!

I had started with the storybooks and they are always my favorite. The writing, the voice acting, the voice direction, everything! Frank script reading/having an unenthusiastic tone for his lines as the prince was hilarious and fantastically symbolic. Howdy as the Good Fairy stole the show. And Julie <3 I'm so glad to get a better peek into her whole personality.

And the joyful siblings!! They're so cool and I love that they have such fun and unique personalities!

No one was ready for Jonesy's Liverpool accent xD

Bea being the peace keeping, groovy, sunshine character was 'not on my bingo card' lol. Honestly, I had it in my mind that Franny and Bea would have swapped personalities, but it's refreshing that Bea is the chill one. And omg their interview xD "where did the poppy go?" "Did it die?" "Oh no!" Had me cackling. I love that they're a band and it reminds me of a lot of cartoons from that era had a band aspect (Josie and the Pussycats, Archie, sometimes scooby doo and Jabber Jaw had band scenes. Most mystery solving shows had a band segment).

speaking of the interview, the radio spot was fascinating! People were pointing out that Wally was talking faster and a little more expressive than usual and I mostly noticed the faster talking lol. I'm not sure if he was doing it for the bit, OR this is heavily implied that this is not a usual occurrence, but it does make me wonder, were there times that Wally preferred one medium over the other? Wally wants to be a news anchor? Maybe we're looking into too much? Who knows!

Moving on to the Crispy Sweets audio, I'm most curious about what was said about rainbow monsters. "One color that represents us" or something like that. Franny, Jonesy, and Bea all have monochromatic color schemes, with shades of their main color with either a neutral or accent color. Julie does not. So I'm curious if this is significant in some way.

Oh, and Julie being a drummer is amazing and I love that. (I wanted to learn drums, still do, but never had the opportunity)

Plus loving your family, but not wanting to live close or hang out a lot with them is a mood xD

The lamb monster cakes are adorable.

Front page Julie also threw me for a loop xD love it and her flowers, and the pink spring theme~

Ms. Nelson Wally is missing and that is interesting! And the secret audio makes me wonder...is W (away from prying eyes person) becoming Wally? Because the voice valleys and wording make me wonder, are the dudes merging? XD OR is it that W was once Wally's puppeteer? No idea, but we'll find out! Lol

But gosh what an update. I'll watch the secret video eventually just haven't found the time yet. But from what little I know sounds like Julie is super relatable lol

And now I need to save up to buy all the plushes and pins xD
