A few things I noticed in my S3 and S4 rewatch. And I finally have a theory about what all those wagons mean!
A hidden Chicago mention in S3
I didn't remember that the kids' codename in S3 is Griswold family!
This is a reference to the 1983 movie National Lampoon's vacation. The story of a man who decides to lead his wife and their kids, a boy and a girl, on a cross-country expedition from the Chicago suburbs to the southern California amusement park Walley World.
In S3 El hears Hopper and Joyce talk about going to Illinois, and at the end of the season Joyce and the kids move to California. They are the Griswolds. I mean, we know that Hopper is El's father and Joyce is Will's mother. But since Jon is never included in these references I think it means that Will and El are Joyce and Hopper's kids, and Jon is Joyce and Lonnie's son. Also, I have thoughts about the wife in the movie, Ellen, meeting her cousin Catherine (russian variant, Katerina-> diminutive form, Katinka) who's married to a guy named Edward. But that's for another post.
The meaning of the wheelbarrows
I'm analyzing all the hints that there might've been a car crash in 1976 and that that's the event that separated Jane from her family. I don't think she was abducted when she was born, I think her life changed because of the car accident: time loop/time manipulation made her end up in the lab and it was like she was never part of the family.
But if she is connected to water- the void, the water tanks, even Stobin's sailor outfit, since they represent Willel (a car accident in a frozen lake?) Will has always been associated with fire. And we see three cars on fire in the show: the engine of Hopper's car explodes in S3, Billy's car catches fire in 3x08, and Fred has a vision of a car on fire in S4. When I rewatched Fred's vision I realized that this is connected to Will.
Before Fred sees the car, a dog barks and we see a wheelbarrow in the trailer park. A clear reference to Will's vanishing in 1x01.
A car in the middle of the street. In 1x01 Will swerves off the roard and crashes his bike in the woods. In 3x01 Billy gets possessed after he's run off the road by a creature.
In his vision, Fred also sees a coffin and the grandfather clock, which has the name Williams on it. A car on fire, the name William on a coffin, and in the same season we see the tombstone of William Hargrove.
I think the wheelbarrows represent the car in the accident in 1976 that changed everything. Maybe a station wagon?
The wheelbarrow in front of Mrs Driscoll's house, when she's already possessed by the particles, after the Castle Byers scene, in which a dog barks and Will is about to realize that the Mind Flayer is back.
And in S1 we see the other person who's involved in all this. Brenner.
EDIT: Found another wheelbarrow
This one. And we even get an "upside down" mention in this scene
And a red one at the end of S4, behind Joyce, Hopper and El, and the wooden pole points right to Joyce and El

During the summer, cottages can be rented by the week or by the month. Give them what they want if they ask for it realtors in old lyme ct Because Lyme Street is the main business street in the hamlet, the area around it was chosen to be part of the town's historic district. A lot of people are retired ship captains whose ships used to explore the water near them. These brand-new homes are different from all the others in the area. The city was chosen to host the event in large part because it has a lively arts scene and a well-known museum. The name probably comes from Lyme Regis, a famous English beach resort. The town is in England, in Lyme Regis.
The Lyme Art Association and the company offices of Callaway Cars are both in Old Lyme, Connecticut. The Florence Griswold Museum is also there. One of the many businesses and groups that call Old Lyme, Connecticut home is the Florence Griswold Museum. Another is the Lyme Art Association. The house that Florence Griswold used to live in in Old Lyme, Connecticut is now owned by several different companies. They could live in the same town. People who lived in Old Lyme were the first to notice how quickly the sickness spread.
In Old Lyme, there are both business and residential areas. Places and areas like South Lyme, Laysville, Black Hall, and Soundview are among those that are included. You could take one of these day trips from the area. You have a lot of good options. In 2010, there were 7,603 people living in the town as a whole. In 2010, quantitative counts were done.
In the Connecticut town of Old Lyme, there are a number of new homes for sale.

Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, Nevada
The second day of this overnight in the Ruby Mountains, I headed for the Ruby Dome, high point of Elko County. There was a slight hiccup as I took a poor route and scared myself. Had to have a little sit before settling into one of the nice safer routes instead.

The New Republican Supreme Court
The U.S. Supreme Court won’t block a Texas law that allows private individuals to sue to enforce a ban on abortion after about six weeks of pregnancy – before many women are even aware they’re pregnant. The law went into effect Wednesday, September 1.
It’s the most restrictive abortion law in the country, imposing a huge burden on women without the means or money to travel to another state where later abortions are legal.
It’s also a sign that the Republican-appointed justices, who now hold six of nine seats on the Court, are ready to overturn the Court’s 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade, striking down anti-abortion laws across the nation as violating a woman’s right to privacy under the fourteenth amendment to the Constitution.
Last week the Court held that Biden’s moratorium on evictions was illegal. A few days before, it refused to stay a lower court decision that people seeking asylum at the southern border must remain in Mexico until their cases are heard -- often subjecting them to great hardship or violence.
What links these cases? Cruelty toward the powerless.
I remember a very different Supreme Court which I had the honor of arguing cases before almost fifty years ago. It embodied the idea that the fundamental role of the Court is to balance the scales in favor of those who are powerless. The other two branches of government cannot be relied on to do this.
Even Nixon appointees Harry Blackmun, Lewis Powell, and Warren Burger understood that role. Blackmun wrote the Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade, and Powell and Burger joined him, as did four Democratic appointees to the Court – William O. Douglas, Thurgood Marshall, William Brennan, and Potter Stewart.
The cases I argued were insignificant. I was a rookie in the Justice Department who was given either sure winners or sure losers to argue. But I vividly recall Douglas, who had recently suffered a stroke and was in obvious discomfort, looking sharply at me as I made my arguments.
I was awed. Here was the justice who wrote the 1965 decision in Griswold v. Connecticut, finding that a constitutional right to privacy forbids states from banning contraception. The man who argued the Vietnam war was illegal and issued an order that temporarily blocked sending Army reservists to Vietnam. The justice who wrote in the 1972 case Sierra Club v. Morton that any part of nature feeling the destructive pressure of modern technology should have standing to sue in court – including rivers, lakes, trees and even the air – because if corporations (which are legal fictions) have standing, shouldn’t the natural world?
Sitting not far away from him was Thurgood Marshall – who succeeded in having the Supreme Court declare segregated public schools unconstitutional in the landmark 1954 case Brown v. Board of Education, and who did more than person then alive to break down the shameful legal edifice of Jim Crow.
Today’s Supreme Court majority is a group of knee-jerk conservatives whose intellectual leader (to the extent they have one) is Samuel Alito, perhaps the most conceptually rigid and cognitively dishonest justice since Chief Justice Roger Taney.
Five of today’s Supreme Court majority were appointed by presidents who lost the popular vote; three of them by a president who instigated a coup against the United States.
The authority of the Supreme Court derives entirely from Americans’ confidence and trust in it. As Alexander Hamilton wrote in The Federalist Papers 78, the judiciary has “neither the sword” (the executive branch’s power to compel action) “nor the purse” (the Congress’s power to appropriate funds).
The Court I was privileged to argue before almost fifty years ago had significant authority. It protected the less powerful with arguments that resonated with the core moral values of the nation. Americans didn’t always agree with its conclusions, but they respected it.
Today’s cruel and partisan Supreme Court is squandering what remains of its authority. It is also imposing unnecessary suffering on those least able to bear it.

I’ve seen Stranger Things fans who are concerned about the show being so widespread and everyone being separated from each other... thinking that it’s gonna make it lose the charm that it had. That got me thinking about how Stranger Things has always been that way...
Season 1 you had Mike, El, Lucas, and Dustin on their own mission. Nancy and Jonathan were on there own. Joyce and Hopper were on their own. Of course, Will was separated from everyone.
Season 2 had El on her own mission for much of the season. Nancy and Jonathan were in Illinois with Murray for some time. Steve, Dustin, Lucas, and Max were separated and dealing with Dart. Joyce, Hopper, Bob, Mike, and Will were in the lab trying to help Will.
Season 3 found the Griswold Family, the Scoops Troop, and the Eagles Nest all separated and on their own missions.
So for season 4 I don’t feel like it’ll feel really any different. Each group is so dynamic. You have the Hawkins Crew (Steve, Robin, Nancy, Dustin, Lucas, Max, Erica, and Eddie), the Eagles Nest (Joyce, Hopper, and Murray), and the Cali Gang (Mike, El, Jonathan, Will, and Argyle). With Stranger Things you can put any two people together and they are going to be funny, dynamic, and dramatic with incredible chemistry so no matter what group you flash to it’s going to be fun, funny, dramatic, and exciting.
Every season starts with them being separated and then coming together and I don’t think that it is outside of the realm of possibility that all three groups are going to come together in Hawkins at the end. The Hawkins Crew is just gonna stay in Hawkins of course. The Cali Gang seemingly goes on a roadtrip. I don’t know what their mission is exactly but i’ve seen screencaps that seem to indicate that they end up in Salt Lake City Utah to see Suzie and who knows where they go from there. They could find out about all the shit going on in Hawkins and decide to all go back there to fight. The Eagles Nest could also potentially go anywhere. Joyce and Murray go to Russia to rescue Hopper but once Hopper is rescued they could go anywhere. I mean, El is on a mission to get her powers back and once she gets those back there is no way she’s not gonna want to go back to Hawkins and save the day there. The Cali Gang isn’t even in California after a certain point and Hopper won’t let El go to Hawkins without him. So all this to say that I feel it’s very likely that Joyce and Hopper will go back to Hawkins, at least temporarily to save the day. In fact, this following picture of Millie behind the scenes shows El in Hopper and her cabin... so further proof that El goes back to Hawkins.

Day 40, Thursday, October 7, 266 miles, 100 outta the way. Milford Lake State Park to Webster State Park near Stockton, KS
Look who showed up in my campsite tree this morning?
Kansas turned into Kansas today. Similar to the Dakotas, though the bit more scenic North than South. Small rollers, no sweepers, lots of farms growing the short stalk corn. What is that? So much for knee high by the fourth of July! Dark Green with huge tassels. Hmmmm.
Stopped for a rest in the little town of Lucas. Art is important here. The Garden of Eden display? idk. Great displays downtown, loved the mural depicting the struggles of a an emigrated Czechoslovakia family back in the day. The noon whistle scared me to death. It's loud and it's long. Hung out at Centennial Park.
Very stiff south wind all day and I was heading west, so strong side wind. Pretty brutal, not a lot of fun fighting it.
Crossed the 6,000 mile mark today. Bike's running great, tires are holding up.
Checked the boxes on a couple of my Bucket Listers! Yep, inspired by Clark Griswold himself, I went a bit out of my way to check out the World's Largest Ball of Twine! Heck yea I did! Then, further on a bit out of my way, I stopped at the Geographic Center of the 48 States! I'm still on the fence which one really did it for me.
Windy camp set-up, though wind died down by bedtime. Coyote Choir again :), along with 3-4 owls in the trees above my campsite. They're loud Whoooers! Heard fish jump all night, as well as the sounds of a few other critters I couldn't make out. Great camp spot, right on the lake. Very quiet. Great sunset, even greater stars. Stayed up a bit later than usual just looking up.
I know! The little corn stalks. They grow the small ears of corn in Chinese food!

Omaha Household Services provides the best regular cleaning services in the morning or in the evening when we have this free “ hard to find” minute.
For many people this process is a daunting work. Then, they decide to do only a monthly cleaning. They arrange the day and time to cope with all the necessary stuff. This task is difficult, time consuming and sometimes unpleasant ( there can be a big mess in the house after a month without cleaning). But it is a chore that should be done anyway.
There are cases when monthly cleaning is not enough. For example, without vacuuming our home or business on a weekly basis, a dust can trigger allergies and respiratory issues. There are areas which should be vacuumed on a daily or monthly basis. Regular cleaning demands less time and it prevents us from more intense cleaning later.
Planning of a special event involves a lot of work. We should be ready for this special one-time cleaning. If you plan a party with many important guests, you need to schedule a special occasion cleaning and transform your house into a crystal-clean place.
Call us today for a regular cleaning service in Omaha NE estimate followed by a tailored proposal that is suited for your office cleaning or building cleaning requirements.

✹ character intro — rin watanabe
⇻ a life in her sister’s shadow is not one worth living. she’ll do whatever it takes to get out.
BASIC INFO // fifteen years old, cis bi girl (she/her), jhanese (japanese)
PHYS. DESCRIPTION // short, choppy black hair, dark brown eyes, sharp cheekbones, light brown skin, thin brows. almost always covered in bruises.
BACKGROUND // growing up in coastbone might have been a lesson in boredom, but rin was never good at paying attention. whenever she got the chance, she showed off; passing a flame from finger to finger, lobbing a fireball off the cliffs into the churning waves below. rin lived for the attention. if her fire was the one thing that set her apart from her sister, she’d hold it close.
it wasn’t until her mother died and her father began to slip away that they grew close. strangest of all, it wasn’t as difficult as she thought. sure, hanako was a little weird, but they were sisters. family. the only thing either of them had left. thinking of her mother still put an ache in rin’s chest, but she was shocked to find that she was almost happy.
and then her father ruined everything.
nearly a year after her mother’s death, she’s plucked from coastbone and dragged across the country to redwall, a dusty town far from the sea. there, his trips turn to full absence. soon he’s not even leaving money. the final straw comes when he’s gone for a full six months. once again rin is forced to shift her life to a new, unfamiliar place as her sister attempts to join the local guild.
it shouldn’t sting as bad. she’s had a whole lifetime of it. but for some reason, hanako’s shadow falls even heavier now.
rin can’t help but resent her for it.
TROPES // playing with fire || always second best || the heart
STATS // intelligence: 6/10 || charisma: 5/10 || strength: 3/10 || cooperation: 4/10 || loyalty: 9/10 || agility: 6/10 || kindness: 6/10 || bravery: 7/10 || endurance: 2/10
AESTHETICS // the bright flash of fire in an otherwise dark room, teeth bared grins, scabbed knees, flushed cheeks, pancakes sizzling in a skillet, fireworks, bravado, dark green lily pads, the warmth of your bed after a long day, sunsets, hot cups of cocoa, bragging, angry crying, sun warmed lake water, the crackle of burning logs. knowing there’s still so much to do, but not being sure where to start.
SONGS // like o, like h — tegan and sara || interlude: i’m not angry anymore — paramore || are you what you want to be? — foster the people || be impressive — the griswolds || sit still — grouplove
