Some Grimmsnarl headcanons :3

Grimmsnarls are highly intelligent creatures, they use their superior sense of smell to find food, they are opportunistic eaters meaning they’ll eat things like carcasses if they can’t find any food in their territory.

When it’s cold out, multiple Grimmsnarls will huddle up in a tight spot like a corner for warmth, they use their heat and hair as insulation, these “knots” or “clumps” can also include Morgrems and Impidimps that have no shelter from the cold.

A group of Grimmsnarl is called a “knot”, referring to their hair covered bodies

Grimmsnarls can show affection in many ways, they’ll rub up against you, they kiss by licking either your hand or face depending on how much they trust you, they can hug you (be cautious when letting one hug you since their grips can be very strong)

Wild Grimmsnarls live in dens and other similar spaces, a den mostly consists of a pair of male and female Grimmsnarls, mating pairs stay with each other for life

Some behaviour of Grimmsnarls is reminiscent of cats, they groom themselves, their mates and their young, as a result of this they sometimes cough up hairballs, they purr when they feel content or happy

Some Grimmsnarls communicate by vocalizations while others are capable of speech

Grimmsnarl mothers are incredibly protective and loving towards their young, baby Grimmsnarls are called “pups” or “puppies” a Grimmsnarl’s lifespan extends 500 years or more, an average Grimmsnarl litter contains 1-6 pups

Grimmsnarl mothers use their sheddings similar to how birds use down for nesting material

Grimmsnarl sheddings can be used to create clothing like fur coats, fur boots etc

There’s different breeds of Grimmsnarl, normal (wild), show/beauty, ensnarement/catch assist, battle/labour and alpha which are Titus and Aphrodite, and Atlas since he’s their offspring

Most show Grimmsnarls are shinies with hair that almost glows, the gem in their chest may be brighter and shinier than a normal Grimmsnarl’s gem

Grimmsnarls are very loyal towards their owners, they’ll do anything to ensure the safety of their trainers, they are also very affectionate

Here’s a age chart for Grimmsnarls

1-2 = newborn

2-15 = baby

15-30 = toddler

30-70 = preteen

70-100 = teenage

100-380 = adult

380-500+ = elder

A Grimmsnarl’s hair needs to be properly maintained to ensure its healthiness and effectiveness in battle, a Grimmsnarl must be bathed at least once a day with shampoo and conditioner that has little to no harsh chemicals, their hair must be brushed three times a day

So called ‘Glimwood Imps’ love shiny objects, if you ever anger a Morgrem or Grimmsnarl, get something shiny and toss it aside, they get distracted easily.

Grimmsnarls clean their young with their tongues, like a mother cat cleaning her kittens.

Half shiny Grimmsnarls are a common amongst trainers who look for beauty in their Pokémon, their unique hair and skin patterns are sought after as well

Chimerism is almost 50% guaranteed if one parent is normal and the other is a shiny

Morgrems have a very rare chance of being born with fully functional wings, each winged Morgrem has a unique and distinct pattern on their wings

There’s an obscure breed of Grimmsnarl that only exists through a royal bloodline of sorts and that’s the alphas, Titus and Aphrodite are the current alphas, Atlas is known as the young Prince

A Grimmsnarl has been located as far as the shores of Alola, she’s the only documented Grimmsnarl on the islands and considered the only native Alolan Grimmsnarl since she was born and raised there by a since deceased parent, she lives in a old warehouse with a gang of young wayward Ultra Beasts

A Grimmsnarl’s fur will poof up if it has been frightened

Grimmsnarls pose no direct threat to humans unless provoked, a Grimmsnarl’s claws are sharp enough to slice someone’s head clean off

Grimmsnarls will eat pretty much anything food wise, they’re omnivorous and sometimes opportunistic eaters meaning if they’re actively starving they’ll eat anything they can find

Their diet mainly consists of fruits, vegetables and meats

Pixie mainly eats fruits and some raw fish every once in a while

Atlas is a little picky, he’ll eat certain things only if they’re cut up into bite sized pieces

Titus is a big meat lover, as an active hunter he brings home deers and other animals he’s hunted and makes meals for himself and the other sanctuary residents though most of its for him, he stores some of the bones he gets from his carcasses and stored them in his family den just outside of sanctuary boundaries for later since he likes to chew on them and clean off some meat he missed

Atlas likes his meat cooked, he’s afraid of getting parasites from raw meat, though a Grimmsnarl’s gut bacteria helps to mitigate the chances of any parasites doing any harm, he also meat if it’s cut up into little pieces, he hates the taste and texture of gristle and cheap $1 meat cuts

A Grimmsnarl’s stomach acid is much stronger than a human’s, some say it can burn through titanium with ease

It also makes for one hell of a heartburn, Grimmsnarls often stop eating when they have heartburn because of how uncomfortable and painful their gut feels, it can become a problem if they haven’t eaten anything for days on end, there have been some antacids made specifically for a ailing Grimmsnarl though some might refuse to take it fearing that it’ll make their heartburn worse

In winter or somewhere with cold climates, a Grimmsnarl’s hair grows to be very thick to shield them from the cold and snow, paired with their extreme sense of smell and hearing, Grimmsnarls have been used to aid in rescue teams in the arctic and after avalanches. As the seasons turn to spring and summer, the temperature starts to warm up, since they have no use for their winter fur they shed it off to make way for thinner hair that makes it easier to tolerate the hot climates, winter Grimmsnarl sheddings are highly sought after for their thickness and softness, sheddings have been used for stuffing, sewing material, a substitute for fur coats/boots and more

Titus has trouble keeping cool in the summer since his hair is naturally dense, Azimuth gives him ton of frozen treats and keeps a fan or two by his favourite resting spot in the living room

Atlas loves the heat, he can’t wait for summer when he can play outside and bask in the sun, he likes to take like naps by the pool and soak up the sun, he also takes his new buddy Masky out to sunbathe with him, he thinks she’ll grow big and beautiful if she gets lots of sunlight

Pixie also likes to sunbathe and nap in the sun, her pure white hair repels heat, the sun also reflects the sunlight off her hair which will make it appear that she’s glowing if you look at her at the right angle

Pokemon Horizons Theory: Kieran's current team (Spoilers for Horizons and the DLC's to Scarlet and Violet!)

Hello everyone, here is Star-Arcana and I am here with a bit of a small theory and some quasi predictions on Kieran's team!

Since Horizons is going to show us his sister Carmine, who is probably going to get her ass handed by the RVT!

With Kieran I had a lot of thoughts and a lot of speculation before it, my most notable one is that he is going to be a dark-counterpart to her in the far future, since we know how his final team looks like in the Indigo Disk. Here is a small team that he owns in my own theory/headcanon for Horizons:

As I mentioned above, I think the writers will set him up as the Anti-Liko due to their similarities as characters: Shy, introverted, have a fierce battle side, are highly sensitive and compassionate, as well as having been rather lonely for much of their lives . So to make someone a dark shadow of what they could have become,had they allowed their darkness to corrupt them, Kieran would be perfect for Liko as her most dangerous rival ever. In the future I will expand on this idea, but as of now, I am sick, so I keep it brief, witty and simple!

The idea of them being counterparts is also based on the fact that they share something in common with 3 of their Pokémon:

Incineroar is of the Litten evolutionary line, which is a Fire/Dark Type Starter Cat, kinda like with the Sprigatito line being Grass Types, with the final evolution Meowscarada being Grass/Dark Type. And since currently Floragato (Grass Type middle evolution of Sprigatito) is Liko's ace, we make here his Torracat as his ace, and that Pokémon is good. To diffrenciate it from Roy's Crocalor, it's ability is Intiminate. These cat Pokémon are a popular pairing and the Incineroar line being Kieran's ace makes sense with his heel-turn and then again his big heel turn once a certian experience with a legendary Pokémon shapes him into becoming good again! So a turn-heel warrior that changes from good, to bad and then true good again, is perfect for him and contrasts with the witchy vibes of Floragato and Meowscarada to his brawler vibes with, in this case, Torracat and Morgrem.

Speaking of whiches, Liko has currently a Hattrem (Psychic Type), which could evolve into Hatterene (Psychic/Fairy Type) in the future . This Pokémon is a female counterpart to the demonic Grimmsnarl(Dark/Fairy Type) line, with Morgrem(Dark/Fiary Type) being the middle evolution of said demonic Pokémon. They are both native to the Galar Region, their dex entries are next to each other and both have as secondary type, fairy, since they are based on fairy tale figures such as forest witches and ogres respectively. They also respond to emotions, but whereas the Hattrem line is irritated by emotions, even happy ones, the Morgrem lines feeds on negative ones as without it, it will bore itself. Because of this, the Hattrem line is for those who are empathic and have a calm personality like Liko, while the Morgrem line is for those who are thinking about gloomy things and have a lot of negative emotions, like Kieran. So a theme of light and darkness is seen with the two, Liko represents light, while Kieran respresents darkness.

Finally there is one Pokémon that is important to the two of them, and has shaped both lives tremendously:

Terapagos!!!

Liko and Kieran had this Pokémon in both of their lives involved heavily, as with Liko it saved it from a missfired Psycho Cut and is rather comportable with her partner, not just because she resembles his friend Lucius from ages past in terms of looks (strongly implied to him being Liko's ancestor), but is also because Liko is really kind-hearted and empathic. Kieran had by the time it forcibly made Terapagos his Pokémon due to his urge to become the hero of his own story and wanting to defeat the main character, who not only bested him many times, but caught the Pokémon he always wanted: Ogerpon!

In Liko's case, it started her adventure with the Rising Volt Tacklers, who are rivals and enemies to the explorers , an evil organisation that sought to hunt Liko down for the pendant containing Terapagos! Kieran sought Terapagos, Area Zero's Hidden Treasure, for himself. Liko due to this event made many irreplacable friends and became a happier person as a result, while Kieran became more lonely with him pushing away everyone after he was left out of something he cared about and wanted to get revenge on the player for taking away "his treasure" away. However Kieran lost Terapagos, as he terastalized it and made it agrressive, but that isn't the end of him. A fight with the Stellarform Terapagos ensues and when everything was nearly hopeless, Kieran got the encouragement needed to fight and help the player to pacify this Pokémon. Afterwards he became nicer and the only one able to help us against Pechurant after it turned his entire village into zombies...again.

In conclusion, they share 2 counterparts to the other's Pokémon evolutionary line, and had the same species of Pokémon.

OH my God I don't know why I didn't see this sooner, but YES YES YES I ALWAYS WANT TO TALK ABOUT HIM, MY HORRIBLE GREMLIN WHO COMMITS CRIMESSS! Since you asked, I think I'm going to bring up some of my especially out-of-the-box Geara headcanons >:)

As far as we know, Geara was just a researcher at Wispy Tower. However, I think it'd be very silly if he also did some of the radio broadcasts. You can always tell when it's his shift because he plays nothing but emo and metal music

Because the only other Type:Null in Aevium is found in Wispy Tower, I headcanon that Zepto was made there as well. Both were originally Geara's (Vitus wanted nothing to do with his failed experiments), but when the tower burned down, the one the player can catch was left behind. When Zepto and Zetta started bonding, Geara let Zetta have him and pick out the name.

Narcissa had to put up the "Keep Out" sign on the Lost Castle because Geara liked to hang out there so he could blast his music without "bothering the neighbors"

Geara likes most ghost types but not the Duskull line. He refuses to explain why.

Geara keeps asking if he can wear platform boots with his Xen uniform. Nastasia keeps telling him no. (Once he's no longer under Vitus's influence, he starts painting his nails black too)

I think I've mentioned this one before, but oh well. Even after Nastasia put him back together, Geara still glitches sometimes, usually when he's especially angry. And yes, it still hurts.

The imps are playing a game!

They’re running around hitting each other with sticks while one of them pretends to be a “dragon”. 

It seems that, after a “dragon” is slain (hit until it begs for mercy) they vote for a new “dragon”.

The one picked to be a “dragon” this time is quite upset by the fact, and starts crying and running away while all the other imps cheer and rush after it with their sticks raised high.

Its not entirely unusual for different names to develop for similar- or 'the same'- holiday in different places around the world! You can see something similar with Luvdisc Day VS Valentine's Day. I suspect Arcmas, like the term Valentine's Day, is more popular in more heavily religious areas (even if the person using the term is not religious themselves).

While we're talking about this holiday's origins though, here's another facet to it I don't see much talk of:

I've heard some regions have a fairytale (for lack of better term) related to the holiday about a Grimmsnarl. It roughly says that on Chrismas, if children are naughty, instead of a Delibird visiting, a Grimmsnarl will bring a band of Morgrem and Impidimp with it to prank the naughy child and ransack their home.

I assume this fairytale was simply born out of Impidimp's inclination to do this- break into people's homes to prank them- but if anyone from a region where this fable is more popular has any additional knowledge on why and how it got started, I'd love to hear it!

Why do so many people call it Arcmas?

I'm often imagining what type of Elite Four Kieran was before becoming a Champion. As a Champion, he has various types of Pokémon, but we know that can't be the case with Elite Four (unless you're Green who has various types even in his Gym back in Viridian City but anyway), and I think some of the Pokémon he has + etymology hint something.

Kieran's japanese name, Suguri, comes from ribes also known as currants (his Italian name also sounds similar, Riben). Kieran also means currant, but it also means "dark" in both Irish and Scottish Gaelic.

His ace is Dipplin, which then in The Indigo Disk evolves into Hydrapple, a Grass/Dragon dual type Pokémon. His other Grass-type is Shiftry, who we do not see in The Indigo Disk but we know he still has it, and is a dual type Grass/Dark. Now, while he has only two Grass-type Pokémon (I remembered one more but alright) which may lead to him being a Grass-type Elite Four (he could've been the first canon Grass-type Elite Four!! But there I'm fanboying because I have my own two Grass-type Elite Four in different regions lol), I'm also thinking he might have been a Dark-type Elite Four.

Shiftry is Grass/Dark, but he also has Grimmsnarl that's Dark/Fairy and Incineroar, Fire/Dark. And it's at least three types, so one more than the Grass-types.

My headcanons are exploding and thinking about both Grass and Dark teams,,

(Edit: ALSO OGERPON!! is a Grass-type!!! What if he got jealous because he has a strong bond with Grass-types?? Alright I'm running away now)

not a headcanon but more of a story of playing indigo disk blind... so during teal mask, i had my usual team - including a hatterene and a meowscarada - that during the champion battle, i was thrown off guard when i saw kieran bring out his grimmsnarl and incineroar back to back that my first thoughts were "Wow, Rude!!" and immediately afterwards "is he trying to hard counter me or match with me, i can't tell" 😂

Honestly a lot of Kieran's battle feels personal.

He was upset with you. LOL

I was overanalyzing the symbolic meaning of each of his team members and was happy gamefreak pulled what they did but also felt so much pain because it just really showed how high stakes everything was for Kieran.

Love the assumption that I know enough about Pokemon to answer this-- I do, of course, but I don't think it's ever come up before. Anyways, I figured I'd just go ahead and do the rest of the Maximoffs while I was at it.

Lorna-- Bronzong; Electrike; Magnemite (shiny); Vibrava; Golett; Celesteela

A combination of steel, electric, and ground-type pokemon (bc she's a geophysicist!) and-- most importantly-- they're all green!

Wanda-- Mismagius; Hatterene (shiny); Florges (red); Oricorio (baile style); Delphox; Spectrier (shiny)

A primarily ghost, fairy, and psychic team with a witchy aesthetic and red coloring. Baile Oricorio is based on flamenco, which doesn't fit Wanda's background, but I love it because I'm gitano.

Pietro-- Zebstrika; Grimmsnarl (shiny); Raboot; Rapidash (shiny); Chewtle; Glastrier

Grimmsnarl is Hatterene's male counterpart and the shiny form has white hair so I thought it was a good fit. Chewtle is here bc Mr. Dibbles. I made up a headcanon for this AU that Spectrier and Glastrier are legendary pokemon native to Transia.

Billy-- Misdreavus; Hattrem; Sobble; Meowstic; Pumpkaboo; Cosmog

Billy and Tommy have younger versions of some of Wanda and Pietro's pokemon. I like that Meowstic is wearing a scarf.

Tommy-- Blitzle; Morgrem (shiny); Scorbunny; Tyrogue; Phantump; Bolthund

Phantump and Pumpkaboo are said to contain the souls of lost children, which I thought was fitting for Wanda's phantom babies.

Luna-- Minior; Lunatone; Ralts; Hatenna (shiny); Teddiursa; Stoutland

Ralts can sense emotions, Hatenna is the baby of the witch family, and Stoutland is here bc Lockjaw :)

she has 2 alpha sized gengars (nicknamed Walter and Martin) , they act as her personal security team . and they have a set schedule to decide who's gonna be hanging around in the boss lady's shadow and who's gonna be patrolling the venue.

her parasol not only can function as a mike , it's also packin' a nasty surprise for some unwanted party crashers .

she also has a Grimmsnarl & umbreon .

the reason why her pigtails are rather lopsided is because Obstagoon tried to trim her hair , and while she was in the salon to get her hair touched up by a professional, Obstagoon was sitting in her lap blubbering a little.

her role in a standard Pokémon game would be an interpol agent ( like looker and anabel ) but if the game had a similar story premise akin to scarlet & violet , she'd be the school's Director instead.

in either setting she's definitely ice miku's sugar mama .

Pokemon Horizons + Scarlet and Violet DLC's theory(and headcanons) and small analysis on 4 major characters with their Pokemon and their archetypes. Btw Spoilers for Horizons and SV DLC's; Teal Mask and both parts of Indigo Disk

Hello, everyone, here is Star-Arcana again and here is an addition to @sxmmyspam's post (link is https://www.tumblr.com/sxmmyspam/765188173627375616/i-tell-you-its-totally-done-on-purpose-by?source=share) regarding how Nintendo might have intentionally built these Pokémon for those 4 to create meaninful interactions between them, though I had before their post some of these themes and similarities noticed, so I am not plagarizing here. However for the sake of keeping things brief, I assume most of my audience already knows what Pokemon Horizons as well as Pokemon Scarlet/Violet with it's 3 DLC storyline are, so I ask you better to watch the show and play the DLC, if you are not spoiled already. So without any further do, my small anaylsis:

With the 9th generation, we got for the SV 3 DLC storylines that featured most prominently one of the newest rising stars in the hall of fame for the greatest Pokemon characters ever, that character is Keiran at the top, literally, and he has a sister, Carmine, to the right. However with the 9th generation, the anime side of Pokemon also got after Ash's retirement a new storyline called Horizons, in which a new protagonist carries now the torch and is already massively popular, and becoming one of the newest rising stars in the hall of fame for the greatest Pokemon anime character ever, that character is Liko to the left, and she has a rival that is also an enemy of hers, Amethio, at the bottom.

These characters have diffrent storylines, but some similarities, especially with many of their Pokemon and I also think they can function as representations of classes and archetypes in role-playing and storytelling, primary the classes of warriors and mages:

Liko being the main hero of Horizons has two Pokemon based on mages: Floragato and Hattrem that could evolve into Meowscarada and Hatterene respectivey, with Meowscarada being a magician and Hatterene being a Witch. So Liko fits into the mage archetype, a hero that is magical and fights with her spells to repell evil. Kieran being a character from the Teal Mask and Indigo Disk DLC's shifts from ally to enemy and then back to ally and has two Pokémon that have a lot in common with Liko's, but are based on warriors: Incineroar and Grimmsnarl, with Incineroar being like Meowscarada a cat starter Pokémon and Grimmsnarl being a male counterpart to Hatterene, similiarly how Latios is a male counterpart to Latias. So Kieran fits into the warrior archetype, a friend who is strong and fights with his muscles against evil! These two have with these Pokémon (and without, which I will get in the future to in much greater detail) thematically a lot in common as trainers, since both Cat starters(with a secondary dark typing btw) are also cunning and crafty Pokémon, since both are said to use tricks and underhand tactics to win, as Meowscarada is a magician using illusions and Incineroar is a heel using unruly moves to win. This also works with the two direct Galar counterparts being magical beings based on folklore and fairy tales, hence both have as secondary type, the, well, fairy type. If these two ever meet, then I hope they would interact with each other a lot and their Pokémon as well, given their established similarities, while also being really diffrent in their themeing with their mons; Liko is a Witch, Kieran is a Brawler, which are highly compatible archetypes and balance each other out, like their Pokémon.

Amethio is a major antagonist and opponent of Liko in Horizons, and his two Pokemon are based on knights: Ceruledge and Corviknight, which fits with Amethio's honorable nature as someone who shows mercy towards those in need and is not nearly as brutal as the other explorers are, which is why he is portrayed as more sympathetic as antagonist, than say Spinel, who erased the memories of Liko once and set Amethio up for failure by making it look like he betrayed the explorers, which worked. So with all of this, he is like Kieran of a Warrior archetype, but unlike our ruthless and brutal warrior, Amethio is a chilvarous and honorable warrior, who may fight for the wrong side, but shows mercy when needed. Carmine is a supporting ally in SV's DLC's, but started out as nasty rival with her ace Poltergeist, that evolved into a Sinistcha. Sinistcha is a Pokémon that was used for Tea ceremonies, which were common in Japan and often done by monks, so I give this archetype to Carmine, as she uses a mon based on a ritual for healing and hospitality(an ability that heals the ally when Sinistcha enters the battle). Morpeko is the weakest link, but like all support mon, it is from Galar and has to fit here. It could be seen as a Pokémon using the power of the heavens when fed well, but falling to the dark side when hungry and represents the struggle of a monk dealing with earthly urges. Even so, Carmine fits the archetype of a mage like Liko and is also profficient in healing, but Liko is a kind-hearted and gentle as mage, whereas Carmine is mean-spirited and strident as a mage. With that said, her closest match here is Amethio, since their aces share not just a Ghost type, but similiar origin stories. Ceruledge and Sinistcha (or rather it's previous evolution Poltchageist) are Pokémon that were once simple objects that had the regrets of a human within them, and thus came to existence as will of a deceased person that failed at their task, Ceruledge with probably a heroic quest, Poltchageist/Sinistcha with making the perfect tea. this also reflects their characters as people who often failed in their task, and feuded with Friede, who just defeated them constantly. So maybe they can bond due to their failures and over hating Friede...And since Kights and monks are part of religious and spiritual orders, they fit as the motiv of roleplay classes that serve an honorable, but misguided goals; Amethio wanting to make his grandfather pround, who however cares little about him, while Carmine wants to protect her brother Kieran, only for her to break his trust and furtherly damage his mind. Maybe the two will team up to beat Friede, and since Carmine can be petty and highly prejudice, she would have not much to object against it, she really can go too far.

Also, yes, my fellow Horizons fans, I do ship Liko with Kieran. Sorry Likoroy or Likodot fans, but my true Pokémon ship is LikoKieran or as I call it, Indigo Shipping, since when you mix Blue with Purple, you can get Indigo, and guess what is Indigo? Terapagos and both had interacted with one. They are my true OTP and I will die on that hill!

Pyroar, because while he did work for and was eventually betrayed by Lysander, you can't deny that Alain would slightly miss him, and would catch a Pyroar for the sake of it.

Pokémon I PERSONALLY think Alain would've caught:

Grimmsnarl, because I think Alain needs a menacing Fairy type on his team, and a great counter to Dragon Trainers, like Iris or Drasna. Low Key Form Toxtricity, because while I get that it's supposed to represent a bass guitar player, the Low Key Form of the Punk Pokémon seems like the chill, idgaf vibes, which is kinda what Alain is like in the anime.

I added these two because we all remember how he lost to Leon HORRIBLY in the first round of the Masters 8 Tournament, and I thought maybe adding a few Galarian Pokémon to his team would be nice, plus both of these Pokémon are Gigantamaxable, and I think Alain needs some Gigantamax power along with his Mega Evolution abilities. There's one other Pokémon, I want to give him and that's...

Runerigus, because this Pokémon is creepy, cool, and mysterious zand I think that Alain needs a Ghost type in his team, for the fun of it!

Drayton and Carmine would absolutely wreck his shit

Drayton does it more or less to piss him off while Carmine usually gets him as revenge for whatever he's done to mildly inconvenience her that day

Crispin's probably got him a couple times just for fun

Doesn't really fight back unless he's feeling playful. After indigo disk he started to fight back more during tickle fights.

His Furret would accidentally tickle him all the time while cuddling up to him. Later, his Grimmsnarl would pull tricks that would sometimes involve tickling.

Kind of has a loud laugh he gets embarrassed about.

Can and will try to bribe his way out of it

He's the biggest baby afterwards. He's all huffy and upset but he'll get over it in like ten minutes.

The Chain and Fierce end up finding out more about Pokemon Trainer!Reader. Wild had found their trophy room, the shelves lined with various trophies to awards. Some having pictures of Reader alongside different Pokemon but the most eye catching is the oldest photo.

They appear to be 10 years old in it and next to them were two Pokemon, a white rabbit alongside a familiar looking pink imp. All three smiling as Reader holds up a badge that happened to be in a display case. This, of course, leads to questions.

Time: Is that you and your Grimmsnarl in the photo?

Reader: Yep, the good ol' rookie days. That's when I won my first gym badge, the Boulder Badge from Pewter City in the Kanto Region.

Legend: Who's that other Pokemon?

This is where the group learns about Starter Pokemon. Wild is definitely giddy as Reader explains how new Trainers can get their very first Pokemon and each region offering a three different types of Starters: Fire, Water, Grass. They had choose Scorbunny for their Starter, a Fire Type from the Galar Region.

Reader already been friends with their Grimmsnarl, who was an Impidimp back then, and caught em once receiving a Pokeball. Everyone is curious about the currently absent Pokemon especially Legend. I headcanon the Vet having a close connection to rabbits since his Dark World form is a bunny.

Reader doesn't answer and instead leads the group to the training grounds. Some of their Pokemon tend to train amongst themselves so the place is a good distance away from the house to avoid any property damage. Neither the Chain or Fierce didn't expect to come across an intense training session between two Pokemon.

A 30 ft metal snake trying to swat away a super fast white blur. The blur turning about to be a familiar looking rabbit Pokemon just a few inches taller than Four. Whether it be summoning boulders from the sky or slamming its tail, the metal snake couldn't hit its target as their smaller opponent kept dodging.

Reader's Pokedex: Cinderace, the Striker Pokemon and the final evolved form of Scorbunny. A Fire Type. Skilled in offense and defense skills, it takes great pride in its abilities. This Pokemon often puts itself in a tough spot due to its habit of showboating when cheered on. Cinderace juggles a pebble between its feet and turn it into a fiery soccer ball to scorch opponents with.

Steelix, the Iron Snake Pokemon. A Steel/Rock Type. Tempered underground by high heat and pressure, the iron from the soil it ingested made its body harder than diamonds. Steelix uses its sturdy jaws to chew through boulders and eyes to see in the darkness underground.

Reader: They evolved into Cinderace a long time ago and help train any Pokemon who have issues fighting fast opponents like my Steelix over here. A Training Coach of sorts when I'm not testing any new challengers.

Amongst the group, Legend is the most impressed and slightly jealous. He can barely do much in his rabbit form as it isn't an offensive animal like a wolf. Yet Reader's Cinderace is a total terror, moving fast and clearly holding back against their much larger opponent. Steelix is the only one attacking as any move usage from the Striker Pokemon was to cancel out an attack they can't dodge.

It takes a bit before both Pokemon notice they're being watched and stop their spar. Cinderace instantly greets Legend as if knowing he's a fellow rabbit. The Veteran definitely got himself a fan since the Fire Type acts more giddy around him than anyone else in the Chain.

Four would love Steelix cause he definitely main Steel Types as a trainer. It reminds him of his work at the forge since it takes a skill and dedication to craft the finest steel. The Iron Snake was definitely careful not to knock any of the Chain down when wanting attention.

Except Fierce who got playfully knocked on his ass by Reader's Steelix. Some of their Pokemon have a bet on who can mess with the 'walking white haired wall'. They can easily tell Fierce is interested in their Trainer so it's only fair to test him.

Reader's Pokemon are little shits especially when it involves potential suitors. A certain Fierce Deity better watch out as mischief is in his future.
