All I need to be happy is to ship Grove Marcus and Great One, because human x eldritch being is most blessed ship dynamic in this world.

And I. Am. So. Happy. Now.

(Disclaimer for those familiar with canon: fuck book Grove, but movie Grove deserves all tentacled hugs he can get)

Also I made DnD character based on this ship and now I am double happy.

Finally nailed down most of what Cecil's Great One form is like!

My design ethos going into this was as follows: Moon Presence + Choir set + my own headcanon that you never actually see a complete Great One in Bloodborne, just parts/most of them

today i spent the day creating a great one form for my hunter lenore.... here's the process and result:

my first decision is that i wanted her to have a centauresque form, inspired by the mussushu babylonian dragon and egyptian sphynxes, since she has a strong sun thematic running. i also wanted her fighting to look as gracious and swift as a GOW valkyrie, which is something that i am not sure i nailed much JFJFISAJFJ but she still has her scythe (burial blade remnant)!! the last sketch with the three tails is the most similar to the final version (although i've decided she can divide her big tail into three smaller ones to be easier for me lmfao)

and the result:

i was also inspired by mother kos and her uncanny resemblance to our planet's creatures, contrary to cosmos great ones who are much more alienesque and slug like. since lenore is an earthly being i wanted her form to be an amalgamation of desert animals and having feathers as a defining feature instead of scales (like mother kos) or tentacles (like cosmos great ones)

her appearence was also inspired by accurate biblical angels but perhaps its very obvious

edit: i still wanna refine it and make some changes to make her look more bloodbornish but i am already pleased that i have a base of sorts now

AND THE SOOPRIZ!! i've been grinding fallow deer for a while (and im back on the grind again, who wouldve though, smh) and got blessed :,)

my first great one! not sure how many kills, but well over a thousand bullets, so lets just say in the 1250-2000 kill range. i am now trying to get an irish elk rack or blade/saw rack on a silver or hooded one

The Great Ones are unkillable, they are immortal. We can kill their physical bodies, but they can't actually die. Said physical bodies are nothing but avatars they use to interact with humans. What do you think?

I agree with you. Oedon is proof that the Great Ones don’t need a physical form to exist. If he can live that way, why shouldn’t this also apply to other Great Ones?

Also, you can still use the Augur of Ebrietas after killing her. Since they partially summon her, there must still be a connection. Otherwise, it should stop working once she is dead.

And Mergo was stillborn, but you still hear a baby crying in the Nightmare of Mensis. It looks like even though s/he was never truly alive, Mergo still existed in some form.

The best part of Bloodborne is that you get to become a great one in the end. You first start out as a living failure, but now you're a great one.

Maybe that's why they won't give us bloodborne 2 because we're already a powerful being who can crush foes beneath our tentacles. I bet we have the power to pause the game.
