Hi! I really like your worldbuilding and was wondering if you had any ideas for how their equivalents of a printing press would be considering that Firth mentions getting the paper and I imagine they have some type of reading material like books or scrolls.
Like if they use ink of some sort, the most obvious answer being from squids on some level or if they have a different form of manufacturing it as since squids are sapient here, they probably wouldn’t be too enthused about being mined for ink. Or it’s something like old thrown out paints, inks, and writing material from humans, though either way the question of how they would get certain materials to adhere underwater is questionable in itself. There are such things as waterproof paper and underwater writing utensils but I don’t imagine those would be common to come by nor do I think they would have that great of a ability really have much of the ability to manufacture them themselves on a large scale.
Or they just cut out the letters and symbols from stuff already printed by humans serial killer style, sort of like what the Bottom Feeders sign does
Hi, I wrote this one out in a doc to format it because i was thinking about so much information. This is going to be typed more formally than it would be otherwise because my program autocapitalizes lest i go insane. Its gonna be a little disjointed regardless. <3 giant wall of text under the cut im not subjecting anyones dash to this unprompted
As a preface: gonna assume paper, fabric, and other organic and/or delicate goods have a longer shelf life in this society, taking the same stance as for in-game props made of these materials. The cigarettes do not really dissolve and some paper can exist indefinitely, though it and cardboard are understood to be soggy. Whether this is due to sapient creature activity/preservation, or just due to the more cartoon logic of the setting and game design needs.
like this is just a good statement for my analysis and reads on this game's worldbuilding in general: there are a lot of things in crabgame that are not scientifically accurate and that is literally the most ok thing in the universe because of the needs of the gameplay, the story, just like ETC there is a lot of love for the real ocean in crabgame and thats what matters, and ill work around that. i, however, am also insane.
Also keep in mind that humans dont really do manufacturing and crafts underwater so while i’ve tried to keep water stuff in mind there is just not the info for how making oil based inks or individual batches of paper would work underwater yknow? Educated guesses. Wikipedia educated guesses.
Further assumption: Definitely agree with what u said about crabs not really having an ability to manufacture stuff on a large scale. I’m gonna assume factory work could definitely be a thing, but maybe not widespread like… industrialization. Industry is certainly a big and well-known thing in new-carcinia, and i don’t doubt that shellfish co. probably has some machine-powered factories, but most industry is probbbably going to be supplied through scavenging either way, even if it also includes craft and such.
Third assumption: easy answer is that due to the trash economy yeah a lot of paints and inks used in theoretical printing, writing, and art would probably be, and have been scavenged from trash for a long time, probably superceding any of the previously implied small factories or home production joints. This isnt to say that these production methods could not be adopted for the trash economy though. Ill get into it.
(clears throat) with all that said, through my basic research id have to say i think much manual writing and art, if made either through wholly original production or a mix of scavenging and refining, would be done through an equivalent to Grease Pencils, a wax writing tool which can make marks on hard and glossy surfaces, such as (relevant to crabs or other water critters) rock, ceramic, glass, metal, etc. there are many sources pigments for these writing implements could be derived from, like iron oxides (for use in reddish dyes), tyrian purple (there is actually a snail in the pacific that can be farmed for this dye without execution, Plicopurpura pansa iirc, who knew!) and carbon (ill return to this).
You mention the ethical concerns of farming sapient squids for their ink and I do agree with those, no matter how much ink cephalopods produce its still like… a resource made from a person and production cant exactly rise to demand without the horrors occurring. However, i’m mostly just skeptical of how useful squid ink would be for writing underwater. This ink is almost entirely melanin particles bound together with mucus, which does eventually disperse in water. Not to say it couldnt be collected, but i feel like underwater application would be kind of a fruitless task.
As an aside, with the general (really frightening (in a good way) to me) lack of molluscs we see in another crab’s treasure, tyrian purple or anything derived from molluscs would likely be largely out of the question. Some sea hares can also eject ink colored from the pigments they ingest from seaweed but also, this ink is toxic and… same mollusc problem. I guess people irl can eat sea hares so maybe with prep crabs could… who knows . Oh fuck pigments could be derived from seaweed and algae. Keep that in mind.
I don’t… reject the possibility that crab society could have agricultural or dye farms but we only hear tell of like… One sardine farm and it is not sounding good for them. I don’t think these guys would really have any incentive to farm as little guys who can eat most things, one soldier in slacktide mentions scavenging heartkelp with their own claws. Probably some very small operations if any.
ASIDE OVER THAT WAS JUST PIGMENTS MOSTLY, to me the tricky part is what IS the waxy part. The grease. The thing that does not dissolve in water. Again, these component parts can probably be scavenged (and probably Have been scavenged since even before the trash economy, canisters of wax definitely fall overboard whaling ships and such) but i honestly can’t think of many ways a crab could make such a substance wholecloth. Perhaps creation of a quasi-inkstick with agar-agar or animal glue (fish glue/isinglass) and pigment? Which would naturally be a bit wet and wouldnt need an inkstone to gather the substance onto the printing apparatus.
For the stuff crabs actually write or print on, assuming a form of this is possible underwater i think pressed homemade paper would be a perfectly reasonable option for small-scale applications, though honestly imo “the paper” (newspaper) that firth mentions is probably printed on either re-used scavenged coated paper or scavenged/manually flattened thin plastic sheets. With access to machinery, shellfish co. would likely be able to manufacture thin plastic sheets, the npc LaTuna mentions her dress being created somehow by Shellfish co. and so i dont doubt that type of simple production is possible. We also see a lot of writing on cardboard so im gonna assume scavenged paints or these like. Agar inks and paint stamps will work on those? Maybe with some kind of sealant…
And of course as u mention bottomfeeders and shellfish desires both have signs that are made out of english letters that were pre-made, so thats probably a good option when applicable.

This is gonna be fun.
Tumblr media
I've been kind of breezing through these lately; with as long as I've been getting these, I kind of run out of stuff to say about the more common trinkets. This time, I'm spotlighting a few, because it's been too long, and they deserve better.
Tumblr media
Case in point: these pop beads. I loved Madballs back in the day. Oculus Orbus was my homie. Even had the Bone Head action figure. But despite my fascination with quarter machines, these utterly escaped my notice until I got into these boxes. The sculpts are actually pretty good for this size, with nice deep details. Haven't had one break yet, either.
Tumblr media
This isn't even all of them.
Tumblr media
A veritable army of vegetal varietals! Munch Bunch was common at party supply stores, the often meager toy aisles of drugstores and grocery stores, and of course mixed bags at garage sales. Functioning as either pencil toppers or keychains (or necklaces, or whatever. Fastenings not included). Cheap manufacturing led to a lot of variants, often in accidentally accurate colors other than green, yellow, or tan. The ones on the ends here are uncomfortably close to a human skin tone.
Here's some fun: which one looks the most like the drugs just kicked in?
Tumblr media
Peeps are mostly bog-standard, but I will note that the clowns seem to be going extinct. Which is a shame, as this specific mold has a delightfully creepy grumpy baby face. The armored warrior stares fearfully up at what I'm gonna go ahead and call a cordyceps fruiting body. He's going in a high place to disperse his spores. Kinnikuman knows this, and pleads to the indifferent sky. Brockenman, the German cyborg from WW2 (no, really) seems to be performing a truly epic "ehhhh...", as most specimens of this mold are.
Pocket Clip Skeleton's face looks like an unbaked bread sculpture.
Tumblr media
Natural Wonders are all killer, no filler. My first vintage Lambeosaurus is looking good, alongside that epic monochrome Styracosaurus. One of the first boxes had this very jiggler turtle, which I subsequently gifted. Good to have him back. The bat is interesting: there's a tube running through the back half, or rather a hole that would accommodate one. A dismantled squeeze-bulb hopper, then. It'll mount nicely on any number of things now.
Tumblr media
One lonely Art gets thrown in with the oddities: another rubber skull, in swank purple and red. That blow mold teddy bear is news to me, but the stacking idols are on their third column, which I guess shows you both how common they are, and how fun they are. I'm thinking about painting a set.
Tumblr media
No, really. There are two full-length stacks on the shelf above this, including 2 in copper and one in black. Again, likely cases of the factory running low on the usual, throwing whatever was handy in there, and shoving it out the door. It shakes things up a bit, and it's not like Hasbro and Mattel were above such shenanigans.
The milk caps (and slammer!) are a relic of the 90s, and carry a lot of themes common to Imperial and other such knockoff artists, such as Poison, Yin Yangs, and surfing. The coyote is just odd.
Well, that's the Grease. 'til next time!

Class: Chainsaw Artist
(for Buckets of Blood, probably)
Chainsaws are, objectively, the noblest of tools. All lesser instruments are dwarfed by its power and might, the sharpest of blades mere scrap metal in comparison.
There are, you know, others drawn to the call of the chainsaw, who find themselves enthralled by its siren song - from mere murderers who fail to appreciate the beauty of the machine, to dangerous madmen who lose themselves in its potency. You’re not like them at all - you’re an artisan, wielding the power of the chainsaw to create beautiful art and do beautiful things, with a healthy respect for safety and decency. Capital-c Chainsaws think you’re a prissy idiot, as do Chainsaw Wizards and Killers.
Tumblr media
Starting skills: Either 1) Natural sciences, 2) Fine arts, 3) Classical history, 4) Literature, 5) Mechanics, 6) Law
Starting equipment: tasteful and seasonally appropriate outfit, a set of proper safety gear (hardhat with faceshield and earmuffs, + protective vest, gloves, chaps, boots, etc), license and certification to operate power tools, a well-maintained, properly registered, and legally purchased chainsaw, and 2d4 hours worth of fuel
A: Power Sculpting, ChΔinsΔw Δrts B: Chainsaw Connoisseur C: Ambidextrous D: King of Tools
Power Sculpting: You’re a master of chainsaw-assisted sculpture. You’re proficient with all typical forms of chainsaw-assisted sculpture (really just wood and ice), and can gain proficiency in any other sculptural material or type of art which you can justify performing with a chainsaw with a day of practice.
ChΔinsΔw Δrts: You have the ability to learn “chainsaw arts”, special techniques performable with a chainsaw. You do not gain these automatically but must fufill some requirement first. Treat as delta templates basically
Chainsaw Connoisseur: You’ve developed an even more extensive knowledge of chainsaws. You can identify the specific make, model, and modifications of any chainsaw on sight, know by heart the years specific models were manufactured, and can psychoanalyze people from the marks they make with chainsaws.
Ambidextrous: Your skill with chainsaws is such that you can use them with no penalty in any pose or position- running, climbing, somersaulting, held with feet or in teeth, it doesn’t matter, you use them with the same grace as you would if held perfectly straight and two-handed.
King of Tools: You can use chainsaws in place of essentially any other tool, as long as it makes some sense - can use a chainsaw as a mixer, can-opener, beard shaver, etc. Also, if you couldn’t before, you are now fluent in chainsaw - both the spoken (unhinged screaming/extremely loud motor noises) and the written (chainsaw gouge marks - chainsaws love writing shitty, self-aggrandizing poetry on the things they cut).
ChΔinsΔw Δrts, list- These are special techniques you can learn to do with chainsaws, but you don’t get them automatically or by leveling. Only way to learn them is either through fufilling the requirements or by being taught them by another Chainsaw Artist.
Technically speaking anyone can learn them through the latter route (though not the former), but Chainsaw Artists generally refuse to teach anyone except other Chainsaw Artists, some excuse about being “trained professionals performing high-skilled techniques of potentially great danger to amateurs” or some shit like that.
Not a complete list, if you can think of any others you can also unlock those probably as long as there’s an appropriate prerequisite for unlocking.
Δ: Chainsaw Grease Chainsaw-sculpt a statue out of butter. Must be at least 5’ tall. Keep it on public display in pristine condition for a week. If it’s stolen or destroyed (by melting, animals, vandalism, etc), start again. Using some weird trick with the internal mechanisms, render some part of the fuel of your chainsaw into lubicrant, then dump it on the floor - 10’ pool diameter for every half-hour of fuel so expended, dex save vs slipping.
Δ: Chainsaw Light Chainsaw your way out of a burning building. The fire can be one you set yourself, but it doesn’t count unless there’s serious danger to yourself involved. You can fiddle with the chainsaw such that part of it’s fuel is caught on the chain and ignited. Somehow, this is perfectly safe - for the chainsaw, that is, not anything you set it on. Sets anything flammable you cut with it on fire, sheds light like a torch, burns through fuel at 4x normal rate as long as it’s burning.
Δ: Chainsaw Invisibility Sneak past people who seriously intend to kill, arrest, or otherwise harm you while keeping your chainsaw running, fully revved up and such. As long as you’re concentrating on making it so, your chainsaw is imperceptible to anyone save wizards and other chainsaw users (chainsaw wizards, killers, artists, etc). No matter how openly you display it or how loudly you rev it, they’ll simply attribute it to an odd fashion choice or something with the pipes. They can still perceive stuff you do with the chainsaw, they just can’t comprehend how exactly you’re doing it.
Δ: Chainsaw Knock/Lock Get one of your chainsaw sculptures into an art gallery. Has to be a real one, the fancier the better. You can precisely mangle locks with your chainsaw, while leaving whatever object they’re attached to untouched. The lock becomes either locked or unlocked, your choice - this is irreversible, on account of the lock being mangled by a chainsaw into tangle of scrap metal.
Δ: Chainsaw Feather Fall Survive a fall from a distance high enough to kill you while carrying a chainsaw While falling, no matter the speed or distance, you can break your fall by grabbing onto any nearby walls, trees, etc, with your chainsaw, allowing you to slow your descent to any speed you wish, preventing fall damage. This effect also applies to anyone else who holds onto you while you’re using it.
Δ: Chainsaw Create Food and Water Get at least 50 different people to eat food you made with a chainsaw in a single day. Sneak into a restaurant maybe? You can use chainsaw fuel as a food additive without people noticing. Can stretch two rations into seven for every hour of Chainsaw fuel you expend. Still gain full benefit from consumption.
Tumblr media
This is Chainsaw Feather Fall, basically.
I have no idea if this fits the whole Buckets of Blood theme but it also doesn’t make much sense except in relation to two existing buckets of blood classes so.
Basically the idea here is like, reverse Chainsaw Killer as opposite exaggerated Chainsaw Wizard, emphasizing the Wizard-y aspects over the Chainsaw-y aspects.
Not super supernatural, though there are plenty of impossibilities - the intent here is essentially that the Chainsaw Artist is, rather than possessing any supernatural connections themselves, simply so skilled at their craft (that being doing stunts with chainsaws) as to reach essentially supernatural heights.
As usual, this class has not been play tested at all and it’s probably insanely unbalanced.
Has mixing GLΔG-style delta template advancement into an ordinary ABCD 4-level advancement schema been done before? No idea.
All the Chainsaw Arts are intended to be mostly utility-focused on purpose, since I want to make something with a different skillset to either of the existing Chainsaw classes, though there’s probably some overlap.

WHAT IS MAGNESIUM USED FOR IN MANUFACTURING?
Magnesium is a lightweight, durable, and highly versatile metal that has a wide range of applications in various manufacturing industries. This metal is the eighth most abundant element in the Earth's crust and has excellent corrosion resistance, making it an ideal choice for many industrial applications. In this blog, we will explore some of the most common uses of magnesium in manufacturing.
Magnesium metal used for Die Casting:
Magnesium is widely used in die casting applications due to its low density, high strength, and excellent dimensional stability. Magnesium die casting is used to manufacture parts for the automotive, aerospace, and electronics industries, among others. Some of the parts that can be die-cast from magnesium include engine blocks, transmission cases, steering wheels, and laptop and mobile phone frames.
Some of the benefits of die-casting magnesium include:
1. Lightweight: Magnesium is one of the lightest metals available, with a density that is two-thirds that of aluminum and one-quarter that of steel. This makes it an excellent choice for applications where weight is a critical factor, such as in the automotive and aerospace industries.
2. High Strength-to-Weight Ratio:
Magnesium alloys have a high strength-to-weight ratio, making them stronger and more durable than many other materials. This is particularly important in applications where the part must withstand high stress and loads.
3. Good Corrosion Resistance:
Magnesium metal alloys have excellent corrosion resistance, which makes them ideal for use in harsh environments. They are particularly resistant to saltwater and other corrosive substances, making them useful in marine applications.
The combination of low weight, high strength, good corrosion resistance, good thermal conductivity, and excellent machinability makes magnesium an ideal choice for die casting applications.
Magnesium metal used for Welding
Magnesium is also used in welding applications due to its low melting point and excellent heat conductivity. Magnesium welding is used to manufacture components such as aircraft and aerospace parts, bicycle frames, and automotive parts.
Magnesium is a reactive metal that is prone to oxidation, which can create problems when welding. Here are some of the key factors to consider when welding magnesium:
1. Cleanliness: Magnesium must be cleaned thoroughly before welding to remove any oils, grease, or other contaminants that can interfere with the welding process.
2. Shielding Gas: Welding magnesium requires the use of a shielding gas, such as argon or helium, to protect the molten metal from the surrounding air and prevent oxidation.
3. Welding Technique: Magnesium is best welded using the gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) process, also known as TIG welding. This process allows for precise control of the heat input and minimizes the risk of oxidation.
4. Preheat: Magnesium material should be preheated before welding to reduce the risk of cracking and ensure a strong weld.
5. Filler Metal: Magnesium filler metal should be used when welding magnesium to ensure a strong, durable weld. The filler metal should match the composition of the base metal as closely as possible.
Welding magnesium requires careful preparation and execution to ensure a strong, durable weld. It is important to follow best practices and work with a skilled welder who has experience working with magnesium.
Magnesium metal used for Welding
Magnesium metal used for Extrusion
Magnesium extrusion is used to manufacture a wide range of components for various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and construction. Extruded magnesium components include window frames, door frames, heat sinks, and decorative elements.
Magnesium and magnesium alloys are easy to machine and extrude, which makes them an excellent choice for complex shapes and designs. And magnesium has good thermal conductivity, which means that it can quickly dissipate heat. This makes it useful in applications where heat dissipation is important, such as in electronic devices and automotive parts.
Overall, the combination of low weight, high strength, good corrosion resistance, excellent machinability, and good thermal conductivity makes magnesium an ideal choice for extrusion applications. It is important to note, however, that magnesium is a reactive metal and must be handled carefully to prevent oxidation during the extrusion process. Special precautions must be taken to ensure that the metal is properly protected from the surrounding atmosphere during extrusion.
Magnesium metal used for Extrusion
Magnesium metal used for Sheet Metal Fabrication:
Magnesium sheet metal is used in the manufacture of various components for the aerospace and automotive industries. Magnesium sheet metal is lightweight, strong, and easy to work with, making it an ideal material for producing complex shapes and designs.
Magnesium metal for sale at Yirui Metal can be used for sheet metal fabrication, but there are some important considerations that need to be taken into account. Sheet metal fabrication involves forming, cutting, and joining thin sheets of metal to create a desired shape or structure. Here are some of the key factors to consider when using magnesium for sheet metal fabrication:
1. Cutting and Forming:
Magnesium metal can be cut and formed using many of the same tools and techniques used for other metals. However, it is important to use tools that are designed for use with magnesium to prevent damage to the metal and to ensure a clean, accurate cut.
2. Welding and Joining:
Magnesium material can be welded using a variety of techniques, including gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and laser welding. However, it is important to take special precautions to prevent oxidation during the welding process, as magnesium is highly reactive.
3. Surface Treatment:
Magnesium materialcan be treated with a variety of surface coatings, such as anodizing or plating, to improve its corrosion resistance or to enhance its appearance.
Magnesium material can be a good choice for sheet metal fabrication when its unique properties are needed. However, it is important to work with a skilled fabricator who has experience working with magnesium and who understands the special precautions that must be taken to prevent oxidation during the fabrication process.
Magnesium metal used for Machining
Magnesium metal is also used in machining applications to produce a wide range of components for various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and electronics. Magnesium can be machined to produce complex shapes and designs, making it an ideal material for producing intricate components such as gears, bearings, and connectors.
Magnesium metal is often used for machining because it is a lightweight and easy-to-machine metal with good mechanical properties. Machining involves using cutting tools to remove material from a workpiece to create a desired shape or finish. Here are some of the key factors to consider when machining magnesium:
1. Cutting Tools:
Magnesium material is a soft metal, so it requires cutting tools that are designed for use with soft metals. Carbide tools are a popular choice for machining magnesium, as they are durable and can be used at high speeds.
2. Lubrication:
Magnesium material can be prone to galling, which is a form of surface damage that can occur during machining. To prevent galling, it is important to use a suitable lubricant during the machining process.
3. Safety:
Magnesium material is a flammable metal and can ignite when exposed to heat or sparks. It is important to take proper safety precautions when machining magnesium, such as using fire-resistant barriers and ensuring proper ventilation.
4. Surface Finish:
Magnesium material can be machined to a high degree of accuracy and can achieve a smooth surface finish. However, care must be taken to avoid creating burrs or other defects during the machining process.
Magnesium is a good choice for machining when its unique properties are needed. However, it is important to work with a skilled machinist who has experience working with magnesium and who understands the safety considerations that must be taken when machining this metal.
Magnesium metal used for Powder Metallurgy
Magnesium is also used in powder metallurgy applications to manufacture a wide range of components for various industries, including aerospace and automotive. Magnesium powder metallurgy is used to produce components such as engine parts, gears, and bearings.
Magnesium metal can be used for powder metallurgy, a manufacturing process that involves forming metal powders into a desired shape or structure using heat and pressure. Here are some of the key factors to consider when using magnesium for powder metallurgy:
1. Powder Production:
Magnesium powders can be produced using a variety of techniques, including atomization, chemical reduction, and mechanical milling. The choice of production technique depends on the desired powder characteristics, such as particle size, shape, and purity.
2. Forming:
Magnesium alloy powder can be formed into a desired shape or structure using various techniques, such as hot pressing, cold pressing, or injection molding. Care must be taken to ensure that the powder is properly consolidated and that the final part has the desired properties.
3. Sintering:
After forming, the magnesium part is typically sintered at high temperatures to create a fully dense, solid structure. During the sintering process, the powder particles are bonded together to create a solid mass.
4. Surface Treatment:
Magnesium parts produced using powder metallurgy can be treated with a variety of surface coatings, such as anodizing or plating, to improve their corrosion resistance or to enhance their appearance.
Magnesium is a good choice for powder metallurgy when its unique properties are needed. However, it is important to work with a skilled metallurgist who has experience working with magnesium and who understands the special considerations that must be taken when working with this metal powder.
In conclusion, magnesium is a highly versatile metal that finds a wide range of applications in various manufacturing industries. Its low density, high strength, and excellent corrosion resistance make it an ideal choice for die casting, welding, extrusion, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and powder metallurgy applications. As technology continues to advance, the use of magnesium is likely to expand further, making it an increasingly valuable material in the years to come.

I think there is something crossing into general 'fuck capitalism' if you'd indulge me.
I can't count how many times my mom said 'this is meant for xyz' when I find some little McGuffin and offer weird way to use it for something we need.
I always just think 'does it explode if you use it wrong WHY DO YOU CARE'.
For those who don't know, genedered clothing is kinda new. Pre-Hitler pink was a boy color, while blue was girl color. Beyond that, before clothing manufacturing became a thing there was also much less gendered styles (not completely of course). Your child wore hand-me-downs from their siblings whoever they wear until pretty much teens/young adulthood.
Toddle boys used to wear dresses because it's best clothing for kid you gotta constantly chanfe a nappy for. Nobody gave a damn.
Then capitalism discovered that if they gender-code clothing and you have a boy and a girl, you have to buy twice as much. And it's not always obvious, but it spreads everywhere.
Want a detergent for your kitchen? Sure thing, here is one for tile and one for stove-top only and one for just the glass and one used for grease and nothing else and one for the plastic and special odorless if you wanna clean the fridge too, this one is to clean dishwasher inside and this one for the washing machine.
Want a shampoo? Here is a mask, then a washable conditioner, then a shampoo step1 and shamptoo step2, then don't forget leave-in conditioner and then special oil.
Meanwhile I use a crafts-box as my medication cabinet, I use a children's storage box as hard-drive storage. A sauce bottle to hold tea-concentrate/oil/pancake butter/beaten eggs. A travel dip holder to mix soda toothpaste in. A photo as reminder-board that also hangs on sticky holders used for curtains.
[It's ironic we're fed DIY-craft white noise from massive content farms while advertised to never try it.]
You can use any item as anything you want, as long as it functions.
literally everything is unisex if u stop giving a fuck

Cleanliness is paramount!
Grease left on a stovetop will catch dust and dirt—and leave spots on anything it touches.
Detach all removable parts and pack them safely in a box.
If you are moving a gas range, have a qualified technician disconnect it and cap off the gas line (see above note about your moving personnel).
When arriving at your new residence with your gas range, you will need a qualified gas installer to check your gas supply, connect the gas line, seal any openings, light the pilot and handle any other hook-up requirements.
Refrigerator and Freezer
Dispose of all perishables.
Unplug the power cord to wash and dry all removable parts thoroughly.
Allow the parts, including the interior of the refrigerator and freezer, to dry thoroughly.
Pack all loose parts, including bins and shelves, in a secure container.
Vacuum the condenser or compressor to remove dust.
Empty and clean the evaporator pan and allow time for it to dry.
If you have a cold water dispenser or automatic ice maker, turn off the water and disconnect the water line.
Empty the water reservoir.
Have a professional reconnect the icemaker and water dispenser to the waterline in your new home.
Additional equipment including copper tubing, a shut-off valve, and fittings may be required at your new place.
