An issue with the table saw spindle means full disassembly to see what’s going on. Bearing retainer came off with a hammer and punch, but needs a little more finesse for reassembly. Dubbed “Scrench” by my wife, I made a tool to reinstall the retainer and adjust it when the carriage is back in the cabinet.

This is where parts bins full of old tools and bolts really come in handy. Also, a 13/64 drill bit is 2 thou oversized for the correct #7 bit needed to tap 1/4-20 threads.
This side project is required to fix the table saw and partially inspired by Inheritance Machining’s latest video, in which spindle bearings are also a problem.

Choosing the Right Seat for Your Lawn Mower: A Comprehensive Guide
When it comes to maintaining your lawn mower or tractor, one of the most overlooked yet crucial components is the seat.
A comfortable and durable seat enhances your comfort and the seat is one of the most overlooked yet crucial components that improve your overall productivity and efficiency.
Whether you're replacing a worn-out seat or upgrading to a more ergonomic option, selecting the right seat involves considering several factors.
This guide will help you make an informed decision to ensure a more enjoyable mowing experience.

1. Comfort and Ergonomics
The primary function of a lawn mower seat is to provide comfort during long hours of operation.
Look for seats with adequate cushioning and back support to reduce fatigue and prevent back pain.
Seats with armrests can offer additional support and comfort, especially if you spend extended periods on your mower.
For instance, the STIGA - 05180600 with armrests and the Gravely 05181300 ZTX seat both provide excellent support and comfort, making them ideal choices for those seeking a plush and supportive ride.
For a range of top-quality lawn mower seats tailored to various needs, explore our selection at Mo Small Engine Sales.
2. Seat Material
The material of the seat affects both comfort and durability. Most lawn mower seats are made from vinyl or heavy-duty plastic.
Vinyl seats are generally more comfortable and easier to clean but may not be as durable as plastic options.
On the other hand, plastic seats are robust and weather-resistant but might lack the comfort of vinyl. Consider your typical mowing conditions and choose a material that best suits your needs.

3. Mounting and Compatibility
Before purchasing a new seat, ensure it is compatible with your mower or tractor model. Seats come with different mounting patterns, such as 3-bolt or 4-bolt configurations.
For example, the Milsco TS34-00004 Replacement Rider Seat features 4-bolt mounts, which might be suitable for some models, whereas the Milsco S934006AR has a 3-bolt mount.
Verify the mounting pattern and dimensions of the seat to ensure a proper fit.
4. Durability and Construction
Durability is crucial, especially if you frequently use your mower in rough or challenging conditions. Look for seats constructed with high-quality materials that can withstand wear and tear.
Seats like the Ariens IKON XD Seat OEM #05180900 are designed for durability and can handle extensive use while maintaining their comfort and support features.
5. Design and Aesthetics
While functionality is paramount, the design and aesthetics of the seat can also be a consideration.
Many replacement seats are designed to match the look of various brands and models, such as the John Deere OEM Lawn Mower Tractor Seat, which is specifically designed for John Deere mowers.
Choosing a seat that complements your equipment can enhance the overall appearance and cohesion of your lawn maintenance setup.

6. Budget Considerations
Lawn mower seats come in a range of prices, from budget-friendly options to high-end models.
For instance, the CUB CADET Lawn Mower Low Back Replacement Seat offers a cost-effective solution at $59.99, while the Deluxe Husqvarna Seat is priced at $149.99.
Determine your budget and select a seat that offers the best balance of comfort, durability, and price.
Conclusion
Choosing the right seat for your lawn mower or tractor is a crucial decision that impacts your comfort and efficiency.
By considering factors such as comfort, material, mounting compatibility, durability, design, and budget, you can find a seat that enhances your mowing experience.
Whether you're replacing a worn-out seat or upgrading to a more comfortable option, investing in a high-quality seat will contribute to a more enjoyable and productive lawn care routine.

How To Stop Gas Leakage On Commercial Kitchen Devices
Gas leaks in commercial kitchens are a grave issue. They might lead to safety dangers, such as fires or explosions, or produce health-related problems. For those operating commercial kitchens in Canada, preventing gas leaks is vital for employee and customer safety. Proper maintenance and safety techniques implemented by commercial kitchen equipment repair will avoid operational risks associated with commercial appliances, and appliances will serve these facilities safely and effectively.
Importance of gas leakage prevention Leaks in commercial kitchen appliances might be hazardous compared to traditional kitchens. Exposure to leaking gas for an extended period may also cause dizziness, headache, and other critical illnesses. Thus, both human beings and belongings require the prevention of such leaks.
Periodical Inspection and Maintenance of Appliances One of the best ways to prevent gas leaks is to inspect and maintain commercial kitchen appliances regularly. Appliances that rely on gas, such as ovens, stoves, and grills, should be checked periodically for wear or damage. Ensuring all components, including gas lines, valves, and connections, are in good condition is essential.
Proper Installation of Appliances Another critical factor in preventing gas leaks is the proper installation of commercial kitchen appliances. If appliances are not installed properly, gas lines and connections can loosen or be poorly sealed, resulting in possible leaks. A qualified technician should install all gas-powered kitchen equipment. Do not hesitate to seek the professional help of experts in commercial kitchen equipment repair if you are unsure about how the appliance was installed.
Ventilation and Airflow Proper ventilation is essential for preventing gas leaks and safety in the kitchen environment. A well-ventilated kitchen will help spread any gas that might leak out, preventing accumulation. Commercial kitchen appliances, especially gas-powered ones, should be installed in areas with proper ventilation.
Ensure your kitchen has exhaust systems, like range hoods and vents, to remove excess gas or smoke. Commercial kitchen equipment repair should clean and maintain these regularly so that they work correctly.
Train staff on gas leak detection Employees must be taught how to identify a gas leak and what to do during an emergency. They must also be instructed on how to shut off the gas supply without creating further leakage.
Staff should be aware of the smell of natural gas, often added with a sulphur-like odour, for easy detection. In case of a suspected gas leak, staff should know to evacuate the area immediately and contact emergency services. Regularly practicing gas leak drills can help ensure everyone knows how to react in an emergency.
Repair Leaks Now The leak should not be attempted to be repaired unless experienced in gas appliances. Gas leaks should only be repaired by authorized professionals who know how to work with such problems.
If you smell gas or suspect leakage, switch off the gas supply to the appliance. Leave the surrounding area and seek professional commercial kitchen equipment repair and servicing to fix this issue.

loom angst again sorry
>:( if that louet erica weren't 30cm it would be perfect. i could even go pick it up on the commuter rail line
is it stupid to buy a loom if i'm planning to replace it with the 50cm version of itself, possibly quite soon/as soon as i get frustrated with only making 9" wide fabric. i'd currently be getting a good deal on the loom + stand, but i'd have to resell the loom for pretty close to its original sale price in order to have meaningfully saved money on the accessories it comes with after buying a new one, & i really don't think that's realistic. so i'm going to go with "yes that is dumb" and may just buy a new loom at rhinebeck if no one's selling a table loom near here that i can get to and actually would want
#uuuugh i want. loom#the fact that it's not that good a deal if i don't really want the 30cm specifically is helping though. im coming to terms with it#catch me buying an 8 shaft 16" ashford for fucking $975 next week like 'this is a better decision actually!'#it even MIGHT be if i use it for a long time/it fulfills most of my loom desires. but also. yikes#this is even after scouring the guild secondhand listings yes. people mostly aren't selling table looms around here idk#if i had space for a floor loom and owned a car id be all set though.#box opener#theres also a used equip auction at rhinebeck w looms but i am very nervous about saddling myself with something broken/missing parts#and do not want an involuntary third hobby 'finding out how to repair a loom'#i kind of hate building things. i don't want loom repair homework#if youre wondering im feeling pretty chill and positive about everything else in my life#this isn't displacement about something else. im just really stressed out about dropping several hundred dollars on a loom#as a completely voluntary purchase i have no obligation to make.
