I LOVE THESE PHOTOS🥺❤
BRAND NEW photographs of the Grand Duchesses, found in the Darmstardt Archive
Shared by Ilya, @sledstvie on Instagram / LastRomanovs on Flickr, these photos show the Grand Duchesses having fun with their Uncle Ernie whilst on holiday in Livadia. Whilst a few photos from this day were found in the Grand Duchesses' albums (and hence known to the public) these funny photos were hidden away in archives!
A number of previously unknown, rare, and high-quality photographs have been uncovered in the Darmstardt Archives in the recent weeks.

Ernest Louis, later Grand Duke of Hesse and by Rhine, with his aunt Princess Louise, Marchioness of Lorne, 1881.
“She was so nice to us children, and it always gave her pleasure if she could do things with us. She was beautiful and I worshipped her... we could talk over so many things together. She has always remained the same to me, and now when she is almost ninety, she is still a match for any beautiful woman.”

You can also see Princesses Louise, Victoria, and Maud of Wales.
And I also believe that girl behind Maud whom of which is peaking out on the left, could possibly be Princesses Irene or Elisabeth of Hesse(?)
Royals from Denmark, England and Greece. Among them we can see Ernst Ludwig of Hesse, Alix of Hesse (later Tsarina of Russia, behind Ernst), Grand Duke Louis IV of Hesse, the Prince and the Princess of Weles, Prince George of Greece, King Christian of Denmark and others.

Paintings from Buckingham Palace: part II
A retexture by La Comtesse Zouboff — Original Mesh by @thejim07
Spread among 13 occupied and historic royal residences in the United Kingdom, the collection is owned by King Charles III and overseen by the Royal Collection Trust. The British monarch owns some of the collection in right of the Crown and some as a private individual. It is made up of over one million objects, including 7,000 paintings, over 150,000 works on paper, this including 30,000 watercolours and drawings, and about 450,000 photographs, as well as around 700,000 works of art, including tapestries, furniture, ceramics, textiles, carriages, weapons, armour, jewellery, clocks, musical instruments, tableware, plants, manuscripts, books, and sculptures.
Some of the buildings which house the collection, such as Hampton Court Palace, are open to the public and not lived in by the Royal Family, whilst others, such as Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace and the most remarkable of them, Buckingham Palace are both residences and open to the public.

Disclaimer!
Some paintings in the previews look blurry but in the game they're very high definition, it's just because I had to add multiple preview pictures in one picture to be able to upload them all! Also sizes shown in previews are not accurate to the objects' actual sizes in most cases.

Grand Duchesses at the Coronation of Nicholas II and Alexandra Feodorovna
Nicholas II and his consort Empress Alexandra, were crowned on Tuesday, 14 May (O.S., 26 May N.S.) 1896, in Dormition Cathedral in the Moscow Kremlin. The magnificence of the occasion was never again seen in Russia. The Grand Duchesses were in full regalia. Here are two great photographs of them.
Above:
Sitting: Grand Duchess Alexandra Iosifovna (who had been present at the coronation of Alexander III); sitting on the floor at her knees is Princess Olga of Wurttenberg; sitting next to Alexandra Iosifovna is Princess Louise Margaret, Duchess of Connaught
Back Row Standing from Let to Right: Grand Duchess Vera Konstantinovna, Grand Duchess Anastasia of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna (the elder), Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna, Grand Duchess Elizabeth Mavrikievna, and Princess Elena of Saxe-Altenburg
Above:
In the center of this group, is Grand Duchess Marie Alexandrovna, (daughter of Tzar Alexander II, wife of Queen Victoria's second son Alfred, Duke of Saxe Coburg and Gotha, who is standing behind her.)
On the right side of Grand Duchess Marie Alexandrovna, is her daughter Victoria Melita, Princess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Sitting to the left of her mother is the Crowned Princess of Romania, Marie (same name as her mother; known by the family as Missy). Her husband the Crowned Prince of Romania, Ferdinand, is standing slightly to the side, behind Missy.
Next to Ferdinand of Romania is Ernest Louis, Grand Duke of Hesse and By Rhine, husband of Victoria Melita at the time and brother of the Empress being crowned, Alexandra Feodorovna. To the right of Victoria Melita is her brother, Prince Alfred of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha who died at age twenty-four.
