synopsis gonta doesn't understand what he feels. what is it? why does he feel this way? all he knows is that he cares more than he thought. warnings none author’s notes of course! gonta is so precious. although i do admit it was a bit difficult to write lol but i couldnt just ignore, this request is perfectly fine. i hope you like it!!

a sweet, gentle soul— and that was your boyfriend, gonta gokuhara. always so eager to learn more and understand things better in your relationship. with how innocent he is, the thought of jealousy coming from him seemed.. impossible you could say— so what happens when he actually does feel that way?

at first, gonta would most likely not understand what he’s feeling. it’s like his heart twists and has him feeling somewhat upset– then feels the need of wanting your attention and whisk you away from who was being flirty with you at the moment, but still felt confused from it, gonta never felt this way before, what is it called?

it ends up with gonta going up to you and making up some excuse of one of his “bug friend who run away”, before apologizing for lying to you once you both are alone.

“gonta feel weird way in his heart. gonta don’t understand what is this feeling, can you help gonta understand?” — cue him trying to explain what he felt

“well..is it a good feeling or bad?” you asked

“bad feeling, gonta don’t like it”

realization hit you once he said that. was gonta actually jealous? you didn’t think this day would ever happen– although he was so cute telling you about it and wanting to know what it was

you chuckled, “gonta, what you felt is called jealousy..”

“oh. what is jell-o-see?”

in other scenarios, gonta might remain quiet, sulking to himself if he sees someone being a little too close to you, waiting until you turn your attention to him. gonta wouldn’t confront you, accuse you of anything– just be down for a while, hoping you reassure him

although if he feels you aren’t comfortable but can’t get away, gonta will become overprotective and gently pull you behind him as he politely asks said person to leave you alone, then turn to you with a look full of pride as he defended you, as a gentleman should

would feel guilty about it afterwards. gonta trusts you and knows you wouldn’t go behind his back, but he can’t help but feel such way, you know? he can’t control it, and it upsets him even more.

give him a kiss and a hug, he’ll be back to his usual happy self in no time

A/N: sorry if this is too short or anything, it’s my first time writing head canons.

Would discover your fear at your first date. After he talked about his love for bugs he could see the little hilt of fear in your eyes.

Would ask what’s wrong ‘till you’ll tell him about your fear.

At first would change your fear for hate. So when he found out he wasn’t so sure about going for a second date, or to start a relationship with you.

Just explain to him that the fear you feel is different from the hate and he’ll absolutely do his best to help you overcome your fear, like a true gentlemen!

If you don’t want to even try overcome that fear he’ll probably be disappointed and will always wonder if this relationship is a good thing.

If you do want to try and overcome your fear he will take you on a date in the woods.

Would prepare a picnic (with the help of Kirumi) and ask the bugs to spend the time with you.

Would try to make you hold a bug, probably a butterfly, consider by him one of the most gentle and cute creatures.

You’ll probably be able to hold the butterfly on the palm of your hands with the help of Gonta’s hands holding the back of yours.

Thanks to him it’s most likely that you’ll overcome your fear of bugs, however if you haven’t he will not give up until you’ll love bugs, just like Gonta (or maybe not that much).

If you still won’t stop being scared of bugs even after all his tentatives, he will give up, but just for now.

Will think of a plan for getting you to stop be scared.

Just give him sometime, he’s not very good at thinking complicate things.

Overall will do his best to help you if want to overcome your fear and it will bring joy to the both of you.

     It was clear, to everyone else at least, that you and Kokichi liked each other. You always took his side during trials, always walked back to the dorms with him at night, and he actually defended you when someone else insulted you. You of course, were not immune to his pranks and jabs, but only he was the only one allowed to tease you, no one else. He still hadn’t officially asked you out or made any physical moves, and many people were placing bets on if he ever would.

     “Nah, that little freak’s too much of a coward,” Kaito would say.

     “I just can’t see Kokichi actually caring about someone other than himself, at least not in a romantic type of way...” Shuichi would ponder.

     “He probably just wants to get into their pants,” Maki replied with a monotone voice. “Little creep.”

     “Gonta think they are cute together. Kokichi’s friends should want to see Kokichi happy! Maybe he can ask them to be his mate with bugs?” When Kirumi inquired how that would work and what Gonta meant, he scratched his head, “Hmmm...maybe spell out ‘you are special,’ in bugs?” The maid was about to ask how one would get the bugs to stay still, but decided her time was much better spent elsewhere.

     “I just hope his feelings are genuine,” Kiibo spoke frankly. “They are really kind person and it would be horrible if he takes advantage of their feelings, not that I’d put it past him,” he grumbled.

     You strolled through the hallway that afternoon. It was noon on the dot, in fact, and Kirumi always prepared a royal feast for every meal. Everyone else was probably there already. Kokichi was at your side, eager to tell you of all his plans for the day, but nervous about it his feelings. They were getting in his way. The more he liked you, the harder normal conversation became. He wasn’t one to tell the truth about anything, but especially not the contents of his heart.

     “So you’re like….what? The Ultimate Secretary?”

     You rolled your eyes. You know he knew exactly what your title was. He was just like this, making dumb conversation or trying to start a little argument and put someone in a huff to avoid silences.

     “You gonna organize all my files and come help me cheat on my wife after work?” he continued. “Should I bend you over my desk in a little mini skirt?” Kokichi teased, a far too innocent tone on his lips for the words he was saying. You were embarrassed, but not surprised by his words. He was always vulgar and bold. Fuck it, he thought. He was done being a pussy about it. He’d wanted to be more romantically and sexually forward with you for awhile now, and he knew your shyness was no match for his advances. You couldn’t help but get a bit flustered at his words. The desk comment was a bit much.

     “N-no, it’s Ultimate Personal Assitant, and you know that! I do much more than sort files! I run errands, arrange events, network, do volunteer work, take phone calls, scout for new employees, fire incompetent ones, fundraise, attend meetings, help with mental heal-“

His hips held your own in place, and he placed one hand on the wall beside your head before leaning in menacingly. You were really grateful that no one else was in the hallway where the little tyrant had decided to bully you on your way to Kirumi’s lunch. You found this position extremely compromising and didn’t know if you could handle on-lookers

     “You know, y/n, it’s realllllly dangerous to make fun of an evil supreme leader. Maybe you should choose your words more carefully…” Your face heated up, and you couldn’t help but tremble under his unrelenting stare.

     “I could show you just how dominating I can be, yeah?” His hand ghosted across your neck before pulling away, your breath catching in your throat. “Maybe you should be my personal assistant! I doubt you’ve ever worked for someone as important as me before.” You looked away, your heart beating too fast to face him. He grabbed your chin with pale, slender fingers and forced you to look into his violet, violent eyes.

     “Kokichi, if you like me, you should just say so,” you spoke quietly, but refused to allow your voice to waver. If you had to be cornered emotionally, then dammit, so did he!

      “Who would ever like you?” He snarled and leaned in, still holding your chin, until his smirking lips hovered dangerously closely to yours. “Sigh...oh well!” He backed off of you, hands behind his head, “I’ll convince you to work under me one day. The benefits are great~” He skipped off down the hall as if nothing had happened, a child-like grin on his face.

Gonta knew he was tall, the tallest in his class throughout his elementary and middle school days. Now as a student at Hope’s Peak, Gonta remained the only student to tower over everyone, even teachers. Yet, there was only one person Gonta ever ran into who towered over him.

Gonta remembered it clear as day when he met (Y/N) (L/N), there was a joint graduation ceremony between his middle school and another because of budget cuts. His parents stood next to their son with proud smiles, as they waited for the photographer to snap a photo of the moment. 

Gonta remembered feeling bored at the ceremony, waiting to go home and tend to his ant farm. He stared over the heads of his fellow classmates at an even six feet tall, scanning the crowd mindlessly. Another boy stood nearby with his parents, a blissful smile gracing his face. 

Gonta’s eyes widened in surprise when the boy began to approach Gonta, growing taller and taller the closer he got. For the first time, Gonta had to tilt his head up, as he locked eyes with the boy who stood at least five inches taller than Gonta.
