Clary initially assumed he asked her because she was his little sister’s friend and didn’t have a date but he tells her he has feelings for her. They dated for about a year until his graduation. He was going to university across the country.

Jack Seymour and Clary had known each other for years. A member of the Chilton basketball team, Jack had joined up his freshmen year because he thought Clary was pretty. He made a habit of flirting with Clary, which she dismissed as just teasing. One evening at a party, Jack and Clary kissed. Clary quickly came to the realization that she had feelings for Jack. She asked him out a few days later and he said yes. They dated until a few weeks into college, when Jack broke up with her.

Patrick Nguyen

Patrick Nguyen deserved a lot better than what Clary gave him. Fresh off her breakup with Jack, Clary met Patrick at a college bar. They hooked up and she gave him her number. For the next year, Clary and Patrick entered a casual relationship. One evening, Clary told Patrick she loved him. She was drunk, and regretted it immediately. But, Patrick responded in kind. Clary couldn’t find it in herself to tell him she didn’t mean it. They started dating. For 3 months, Clary couldn’t get up the courage to tell him. Until, one night, it just slipped out. ��I don’t love you.” And that was that, they broke up.

Charles Wendler was Clary’s first devestating heartbreak. She met him in her Art History class. He was an exchange student from England completing his graduate program and, to Clary, completely fascinating. Charles strung her along for a while, sometimes seeming head-over-heels and other times completely uninterested. On Clary’s 22st birthday, Charles’s girlfriend came to his apartment to surprise him while they were in a… compromising position. She didn’t see Charles for a week after that and heard nothing from him. She learned from her art history professor that he had gone back to England.

Jess Mariano

Clarissa remains convinced her and Jess’s meeting was an act of destiny. She wasn’t planning on staying in Philadelphia beyond her six month contract. But, Clarissa came into Truncheon Books one day, and he was working. She recognized him and they started talking. They met for coffee, as she didn’t really know anyone in Philly. They became fast friends, and as her contracted period came to a close, their feelings for each other became more apparent. They both knew about their mutual feelings but refused to confront them. When Clary told him she would be leaving in a few days, Jess was angry. They argued and she stormed out. They didn’t speak until the day of her flight out. Jess came to her apartment and she kissed him spontaneously. She bailed on her flight and ended up staying in Philadelphia with Jess.

Is Media's Support of Kamala Harris doing more Harm than Good?

I wanted to hear from All Sides before going over the Presidential Debate. In My Opinion, The Winner of the Harris- Trump Debate was Dr. Jill Stein. Her Presidential Campaign w/ Running Mate, Dr. Butch Ware is gaining steam following their Interviews w/ The Breakfast Club & Mehdi Hasan. They look like the Adults in the Room. The ABC sponsored Debate generated a lot of feedback, but neither Candidate performed very well. Kamala Harris appeared poised, but her Message is [still] too general. Time is running out, so Kamala should be more specific about what a 'Harris- Walz Administration' will look like over the next 4Yrs. Donald Trump looked comfortable in 'Enemy Territory', but may have overestimated his readiness. The Man's debate performance resembled a Sales Presentation; he appeared to be ad libbing off a list of Bullet Points, opposed to the Talking Points that Kamala Harris used. NEITHER were effective in explaining their Agenda, so I gave both Candidates a Grade of 'C'.

Following the Debate, Kamala Harris gave a brief interview to Philadelphia Action News Anchor, Brian Taff that rose eyebrows. In that Interview, Kamala lacked the poise displayed during the Debate; she was back to her Bad Habits. Body Language Experts had a field day comparing & contrasting Kamala Harris' mannerisms from the Debate Stage, to the Action News Interview. A few Content Creators began to ask if Kamala was prepped for the Debate. Meanwhile, critiques of ABC Debate Moderators, David Muir & Lindsey Davis began to echo across Social Media Platforms. Harris' next appearance, at the NABJ Forum in Philadelphia didn't help. Despite a warm reception & softball questions from the Moderators, Kamala Harris appeared uncomfortable, uncertain, & eventually bothered by the questions being asked. She barely shook hands w/ the Moderators before leaving the Stage. Around this time, Post Debate Poll Numbers were coming out.

The Harris- Trump Debate was anticipated, but did little to change hearts & minds. Kamala Harris Supporters felt that she not only handled Trump, but clearly won the Debate. Donald Trump Supporters admit this wasn't his best Debate performance, but they say that Trump held his own in a '3 against 1' Fight. Even CNN pointed out that ABC Debate Moderators fact checked Donald Trump far more than they did Kamala Harris. The usual back & forth between Pundits followed, but was brought to a full stop when an ABC News Whistleblower released a letter that accuses ABC/ Disney of colluding w/ the Harris-Walz Campaign. In a Sworn Affidavit, the Whistleblower says that Harris Staffers dictated which Topics were off limits, while ABC provided Harris w/ sample questions. Using Post Debate Interviews as a Standard for Comparison, Kamala Harris' Opponents point out how much her Pre & Post Debate Interviews contrast w/ her Debate Performance. They cite them as proof that ABC prepped her for their Sept. 10th Debate. Kamala's association w/ Disney Co- Chair Dana Walden & Anchor Lindsey Davis didn't help matters.

Despite the narrative of a Harris Victory, Post Debate conversation hasn't benefitted Kamala Harris or helped her Poll Numbers. Any percentage bump that she may have gained was quickly nullified by a 2nd Assassination attempt on Donald Trump at a neighboring Golf Course near his Mar A Largo Residence. Political Insiders say that regardless of what Polling Trends may show, Kamala Harris is in the Electoral College 'Danger Zone'. Her numbers are starting to plateau, while Trump is on the rebound. This might have been the inspiration behind Oprah's Town Hall Rally in Michigan. In yet another DNC friendly environment- complete w/ Celebrity Endorsements, Kamala meandered her way through some pretty straight forward questions. Oprah had to lend an assist on more than one occasion, & very few missed it. Her overall performance was underwhelming; even Oprah had to admit that Kamala failed to answer questions. The Harris-Walz Campaign attempted to shore up deficits in Pennsylvania & Michigan, but did little to influence Rural or Muslim American Voters in either Swing State.

In what has been a very busy News Cycle for Presidential Politics, an unexpected comment from Janet Jackson has created yet another Media Storm. In an interview w/ The Guardian, Janet was asked her thoughts on a 'Black Woman' winning the Election for POTUS. She replied: "Well you know what they supposedly said? She's not Black. That's what I heard. That she's Indian". When the reporter tried to insist that Kamala was BiRacial, Janet doubled down on her answer. Democratic Shills- from Joy Reid & the Ladies of 'The View', to DL Hughley & Roland Martin had something to say about Janet's opinion. To Date, I think I heard Kamala say that she is Black ONCE. This came after seeing a number of Campaign Ads that identified her as a 'Black Woman of Asian Descent', & hearing several Democratic Shills say [relentlessly] that Kamala Harris IS Black. For The Record, BOTH of her Parents identify as 'Caucasian' (Aryan) on their Birth Certificate. I don't understand what the DNC is trying to accomplish. Kamala has yet to be specific about her Agenda for the next 4Yrs. She has begun to put Policy Measures on her Website, but hasn't explained how she will attain Policy Goals.

Mainstream Media has provided cover for Kamala Harris, like they covered for Joe Biden. DNC Friendly Outlets share the same tactic; a knee jerk response of gaslighting Harris Critics & Undecided Voters that contest her History or Agenda. It's painfully clear that Kamala Harris is struggling on Policy Issues. Her response to specific questions has been so redundant that critics believe she's reading from a script. After 3Yrs 8Mos of serving as Vice President, more is expected out of her. Shills like DL Hughley have said that [the Office of] Vice President is not a position of relevance, but Harris casted the Deciding Vote 33 times during her Tenure. In contrast, Mike Pence did this only 3 times. Clearly, Kamala has been an integral part of the Biden- Harris Administration & should be able to ride w/o Training Wheels. The fact that so many 'Aides' have to set her up has Harris Critics & Undecided Voters questioning her ability to Serve effectively.

We know that Obama Operatives like David Plouffe & Eric Holder have been inserted into the Harris- Walz Campaign, so catch words like 'Energized', 'Freedom' & 'Joy' aren't surprising. Mainstream Media has been literally paving a Yellow Brick Road for Kamala Harris to work her Magic, but she lacks the special sauce of a Barack Obama or Bill Clinton. The Truth is, Clinton & Obama did MORE DAMAGE to Black America than either Bush [41 & 43] or Trump. Kamala Harris is in the unfortunate position of following in their wake. She can't run the same Game on Black America that they ran. Blackfolk have Buyer's Remorse & won't tolerate a 3rd Serving of 'DNC Double Talk'. Hillary Rodham Clinton had the same dilemma w/ Black Voters in 2016. Like Hillary, Kamala lacks a Silver Tongue, but has an expectation of privilege that is supposed to carry her into The White House. Mainstream Media has foregone any appearance of objectivity in their effort to make Kamala Harris a Political Rock Star. Unfortunately, this effort has put a spotlight on her consistent inconsistency.

In their attempt to present Kamala Harris as a brilliant Presidential Candidate, Journalists & Shills are revealing that she is not ready for Prime Time. Is this by design? I recall a rumor that started not long after Kamala's 'Selection' that she was being Set Up for a Great Fall. According to the rumor, Barack Obama & Nancy Pelosi weren't pleased w/ Joe Biden seeking a 2nd Term in Office. Americans aren't satisfied w/ the performance of the Biden- Harris Administration, so Gavin Newsome, Gretchen Whitmer, & Josh Shapiro were among those being considered as potential Candidates; Kamala wasn't in the conversation. The Biden- Harris Campaign War Chest necessitated keeping Kamala on the Ballot, but there was a rumored concern about Joe Biden's 'Legacy'. Apparently, the Obama- Pelosi Camp don't want him to have one. Barack & Michelle withheld their support for Kamala, to leverage placement of 'their people' into Harris' Campaign. This increases their influence while diminishing Joe Biden's influence on a 'Harris Administration'.

Billionaire Donors have thrown Hundreds of Millions of Dollars into the Harris-Walz Campaign, but it only appears to be treading water. As We approach the Home Stretch to Election Day, NEITHER Candidate on the DNC Ticket holds a strong position on Important Issues. BOTH have to rely on Media Support & Emotional Buzz Words to keep potential Voters 'in line'. The General Public is more focused on Kitchen Table Issues like The Economy, than supporting 'Forever Wars' in Ukraine & Gaza. This is hurting Kamala Harris w/ Young Adults & Muslim Voters. Taking a step back to review how We got here, I have to ask: Are Democratic Elites & their Donors manufacturing a losing scenario intentionally? Are Content Creators being On Point when they theorize that the DNC wants to weaponize Kamala Harris- in an effort to destroy Joe Biden's 'Legacy,' while they begin the process of selecting a 2028 Presidential Candidate?

All I know, is Kamala Harris had the lowest approval rating of ANY Vice President; then Joe Biden 'bowed out' of the Election & she suddenly became a Political Rock Star. It's pretty clear that Kamala is not living up to all of the Hype, but is it her fault? -Afterall, she is who she is.

A visit to Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is special with the Shawnee Island Course being the crown jewel of the property, where 24 of 27 holes are located on an island in the middle of the Delaware River. The parkland-style course is not the norm in the Poconos, but a nice change from the hills and valleys of the typical Pocono offerings. The historic Shawnee Inn has been entertaining and playing host to the who’s who of celebrities since the beginning of the 20th century. Jackie Gleason learned the game here; Arnold Palmer met Winnie here; Sam Snead spent time as the pro. About Kathy renting a house near Camp Toccoa and how disconnected people state-side from people at war

Biggest Brother: “Winters knew her somewhat. She had taken a house near Camp Toccoa while the 506th was in training, and Nixon had often invited Winters to the house for meals or conversation.”

Conversations with Major Dick Winters: “Nixon had been married, but he had no love at home. I went to his house many times. He would invite, not just me, but he would invite a group of officers and company to his home on weekends.“

This house was actually near Camp Mackall & Fort Bragg in North Carolina (or, it’s possible that Kathy rented houses in both Toccoa and NC)----but the place discussed here is the one in North Carolina.

The house was called “Primrose Cottage” in a neighbourhood named “Cottage Colony” (somewhere near Cherokee Rd, Pinehurst, North Carolina)----20min by car to Camp Mackall; 40min by car to Fort Bragg.

Miss Paola de Janze (who later became the Countess de Rougemount) was living at Primrose Cottage with Kathy and Lewis Nixon. She was a grandniece of Simeon Brooks Chapin (a famous financier and philanthropist who founded the Pinehurst Soldiers’ Lounge). She was an ethusiast of equestrian and Polo match. She was also a socialite and quite acitive in high society, and that’s why we can find Lewis Nixon’s name in the social notes of North Carolina.

Kathy was living in Pinehurst from March 1943 to March 1945 (Lewis Nixon was shipped to England in Sep 1943 but she was 8-month pregnant back then so she can’t travel back to Arizona. Michael was born in Pinehurt NC in Oct 1943. She lived in Pinehurst until March 1945, then she moved to CA to live with Mrs Stanhope Nixon (only for a brief time before the divorce).

I was thinking the cottage was like a modest 2-bedroom townhouse, but now I think I might be very WRONG. and prob it’s not only Kathy that Dick didn’t like. It’s probable that Dick didn’t like the whole neighborhood. Here is why:

Dick mentioned that he was invited to Nixon’s place along with other officers. I was thinking it’s Harry and Hester and other officers from 101. But probably not only them. Here in the social notes showed whom Mrs Lewis Nixon dined with: 12 Dec 1943 "Following cocktails in the Pine Room at The Carolina, Miss Paola de Jonze gave a dinner in honor of her sister...Her other guests were Mrs Lewis Nixon, Lt. Nicholas Biddle......” This  Lt. Nicholas Biddle was the son of renowned Anthony Drexel Biddle, who was a US ambassador, from the famous Biddle family of Philadelphia (Norman Dike’s mother pretended to be from this Biddle family but she was actually not).

Also living in the “Cottage Colony” neighborhood was Liet Col. J. Stillman Rockefeller (James Stillman Rockefeller) from the Rockefeller family.

On 17th December 1944, German invaded Bastogne, and on the same day these activities were going on in Pinehurst: "Christmas is in every Pinehurst plan. The hotels and cottages alike look to a gala holiday, with many servicemen on leave...For Christmas Day an equestrian afternoon is schedules, with a horse show in the Carolina ring...The Golf club's annual turkey shoot will be held on Saturday...Miss Paola de Janze, who lives at Primrose cottage with Capt. and Mrs Lewis Nixon, shot the goal which made the difference between win and tie when she played at the Pinehurst polo match."

In summary, at the Pinehurst Soldiers' lounge and Country Club there was endless bridge games, dinner parties, golf tournaments, polo matches, horseback ridings (all the prominent horse owners are “wintering their horses” here) There were equestrian matches and polo games between Camp Mackall and Fort Bragg, in 1944!  On 1st Jan 1944 “a soldier escaped prison in Camp Mackall on a thoroughbred mare”, and on 16 Jan 1944: "Pinehusrt's servicemen's lounge seemed "a bit o' Heaven" last week to the airborne troops completing their maneuvers in this vicinity and coming in from the "battle" area after a bout with sleet and snow, as well as a four-day fight with an imaginary enemy. The US has reported at least 50 mass shootings since the Atlanta spa shootings

The United States has seen at least 150 mass shootings in 2021, according to data from the GVA, a non-profit based in Washington.

Appradab considers an incident to be a mass shooting if four or more people are shot, wounded or killed, excluding the gunman; so does the GVA.

Here are the incidents reported since March 16.

April 18: Kenosha, Wisconsin

Three people were killed and three others wounded in a shooting at The Somers House tavern in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, according to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office.

April 17: Columbus, Ohio

A shooting at a vigil in Columbus, Ohio, left one dead and five others — including a 12-year-old child — wounded, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said. No suspects are in custody.

April 17: LaPlace, Louisiana

Nine juveniles were wounded by gunfire during a 12-year-old’s birthday party Saturday in LaPlace, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans, authorities said.

Deputies found multiple people shot when they responded to the scene Saturday, officials said in a statement posted to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

The agency initially said six people were injured, but in a subsequent post said nine were shot or grazed by gunfire, including two who remain in a hospital — a 14-year-old boy shot in the head and a 16-year-old hit in the stomach.

The shooting started “when verbal confrontations during a child’s birthday party led to gunfire,” officials said.

The sheriff’s office said that it is not aware of any fatalities related to the Saturday shooting, and no arrests have been made.

April 16: Detroit

The Wake Robin Golf Club founded

*On this date in 1936, the Wake Robin Golf Club of Washington, D. C., was formed. This was one of the first all-Black Women Golf Clubs in America.

Thirteen women held their first meeting at the home of Helen Webb Harris at 79 R Street NW that evening. She was an educator and the wife of a prominent Washington physician. Each founding member was married to an associate of Washington's all-Black, all-male Royal Golf Club, and they were tired of staying home on weekends while their husbands played.

They weren't trying to get into country clubs; they just wanted to get on the golf course. At the time, all but one of the District's public courses, the Lincoln Memorial, a nine-hole, sand-green design in what is now West Potomac Park were off limits to any Black players. Country clubs across America were off limits to almost all people of color, unless they were carrying golf bags, shining shoes, or serving food. Named after the purplish wake-robin wild flower plentiful in the Mid-Atlantic region, the club blossomed almost from the start though not without a few problems. There was some resistance from the men of the Royal Club. Yet Wake Robin members played regularly at the Lincoln Memorial course, still enduring the taunts of men. They made frequent excursions to courses in Baltimore and Philadelphia that were more accommodating to Blacks.

In 1938, the Wake Robin Club pushed the process of desegregating the public courses of the District of Columbia by drafting and sending a petition to Secretary of the Interior Harold Ickes. To mollify the petitioners, Ickes approved the construction of a nine-hole course on the site of an abandoned trash dump. In 1939, Langston Golf Course was built near Spingarn High School in Northeast Washington. It wasn't pretty, especially when players tried to retrieve balls from under the old tires or rusty tin cans strewn about the property. But finally, Black golfers had a place to call their own. Today, Langston is an 18-hole public facility that still attracts a predominately Black clients. Both Wake Robin and the Royal Club continued to press Ickes to open up the city's other public facilities, and in 1941, he issued an order that did. When the doors opened at the city's other courses, some members (at the East Potomac Course) were actually stoned.

White men around there harassed Blacks, and when they'd hit the ball, the children who lived around there would come out and pick it up and run with it. Still Wake Robin didn't curb its political action to the D. C. area. Along with many other minority clubs, Wake Robin was part of the movement to force the PGA to drop its "White-only" rule for eligibility, which it did in 1961. The club also helped organize and support the United Golfers Association, which put on tournaments throughout the country for the best Black professionals. Wake Robin carried on and prospered while it battled to end the exclusionary heritage of golf. Currently, members, now numbering more than 50, play every week throughout the Washington area. There are regular weekend matches, monthly tournaments, and a club championship.

Most of the current members are aware of their gracious history. The current membership inherited all of the clubs memorabilia collected through the years, including Helen Harris's original postcard inviting her 12 friends to the first meeting in 1936. 2019 Summer Trip.

July 12...

Got to the fabulous Fairfield Inn near FLL at about 7pm. Checked in and told the receptionist we needed to be on the 4am shuttle, as we had a 6:25 flight. She asked if we needed a wakeup call. I suggested the university of Miami marching band outside the door at 3:30.

Off to del Frisco's on Las Olas for a romantic dinner of Martinis and steak. Susie accuses me of flirting with the rather well presented Jennifer. I don't know what she was talking about. By the way, Jennifer is 29, blond, about 5'6", size 6. just broke up with her boyfriend, and gets off at 11. Susie insisted on a terribly decadent chocolate cake for dessert. Also told Jennifer to cut me off.

North Las olas area pretty busy for a Friday night on the summer.

Back to the Fairfield for 4 hours of sleep before the aforementioned u of m band wakes us up at 3:30.

July 13.

6am.. on board southwest flight to Baltimore.

First crisis. Susie can't connect her headphones to her Iphone. Problem solved when I suggested that she then the headphones on. Its kind of like the guy who complains that he never won the lottery.. he also never bought a ticket.

6:30 pm... off to dinner at Ocean Blue with Susie and Jen.

Anonymity is a wonderful thing. Unfortunately, it does not exist in Utica, NY. We got to the restaurant. We made it... two steps out of the elevator, there was my dear friend Mikey... at the bar eating oysters and drinking vodka.

Well that took a whole eight seconds. He joined us, and, wait for it... 3 minutes later the table was loaded with oysters and more vodka. Even Susie, who I've been trying to get to eat an oyster for 40 years had one.

So, during the course of dinner, it comes out that Mikey it's quite the artist. Hard to believe if you know Mikey. Mike is a great golfer and an even better drinker. Also, and I mean this in the best possible way... He's nuts. After dinner we went up to his apartment to see his work...

All I can say is "Absolutely Unbelievable ".

July 14th

Really looking forward to playing at the Yahnundasis, my old club, today. Michael Stone made a surprise early return from Philadelphia. Being at the club was like old home week. Played with Jerry and Scotti. Scotti has a unique view on life, and provided four hours of non stop entertainment. They even had a flyover by two F16's to mark the beginning of Mark Stone week in New Hartford.

July 15th.

Another great day... Lunch with Mac at Del Buono's, followed by golf at the Yahnundasis with Mac, Michael, Jerry and Tony T. Tony has been club champion about ninety times and, along with our new artist Mikey, and Jerry, made up the annual florida golf trip group before I moved down. Chad played, too, so we had a great sixsome... Chad and his lovely wife Kait bought our house in what was probably the fastest real estate transaction in history.

After golf, we bee lined to Cafe CaNole for drinks, dinner and debauchery. Susie Bull joined us... always a treat. He fear husband Marty was a staple of our group until his untimely passing a few years ago... by the way, he passed on Jerry's birthday.

July 17th.

Michael got tickets for tonight's NY Yankees game against Tampa Bay. Seats are in a fabulous suite above the Yankees dugout. The Deacon, no really he's a Deacon, drove to the Bronx, as Jerry, Michael and I enjoyed each others company. Got to the stadium early. Walked around the whole place. Saw monument park... awesome.

Did a little shopping and went up to the suite. Got some dinner, and at 6:40, they cancelled the game due to impending bad weather. Oh well...

Back to Utica...

July 20th.

Went to the Pittsburgh Vintage Car Show. Pretty good. All kinds of cars in Schenley Park. Saw something that might work for golf trips and the like.

July 21st.

Up early, out for breakfast at Eat and Park, then to the field for some flying. The boys in Billy's flying club are awesome. They are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Billy did a great job flying his Taylorcraft and T34. The T34 was too fast for me. The Taylorcraft 450 was fun to fly. I bought a Taylorcraft 25e (62" wingspan) from Seagull. Should get it next week.

Back to the homestead, good nap, dinner at the Murray Street Grill, TV... a perfect Sunday.

July 23rd.

After a great time in Pittsburgh, we hit the road at 7:45 and made it to NYC about 1:30. Checked in to the Dream hotel on west 55 th and went for a walk.... what a surprise.. we wound up st Lavo for several drinks and some great mussels. Back to the hotel to clean up and then off to the Sondheim Theater to see "Beautiful"... Absolutely fabulous.
