My favourite photography series!! lending hands is still my absolute favourite. a pair of gardening glasses+a pair of gardening scissors I'm also p fond of C:

This was made for my second year photography class, I believe it was our first digital photography assignment, around the theme of "intimate life".

A lot of people tend to get confused about the title lol which is totally fair enough. It essentially can be read in 4 different ways with slightly different meanings, though they're all kinda about wishing for something better:

a life, you know? (as if saying to someone)

a life, you know (same as above but different inflection)

a life you know? (as if unsure about the familiarity of the life)

a life you know (a life that is familiar to you)

The whole time while taking the photos I was listening to the Rolodex album by the French Cassettes. Set the mood so perfectly I had such a beautiful time taking photos... Though it was getting a little trickier as the sun was setting haha. I went out to get that golden hour lighting, so there wasn't much time before it was getting too dark.

that last photo's title is inspired by one of my art history foundation year profs talking about photography and how there's so many photos of sunsets and we don't need anymore lol; it was in relation to some art piece that had a bunch of photos of sunsets I don't recall its title... Yeah but when I heard that I was like. bitch I've seen so many sunsets and I stop to look every single time. It's a little hard to see in the photo I think, but I took the photo when I spotted a parent and their kid tucked away together watching the sunset. So lovely and sweet...

born to club, forced to bear the burden of supporting her planet's economy 😔 she's got the confidence necessary to get out on the dance floor and do whatever. unfortunately, she's never gotten the chance. had she lead a normal life, she would love the high energy. her and nona would egg one another on until lear steps in, ever the mother hen. nexus darling might not be confined to the LOTUS-EATER anymore, but there's zero chance blade is letting her go to an establishment like that. kafka might try and pull some strings to make it necessary for a job, as she lives for drama...

satoru caught her practicing perfume choreography one time and has never let her live it down. that's about the extent of her dancing, aside from some simple swaying when listening to music by herself. she'll go if shoko asks, otherwise, it isn't really on her radar. she isn't the type to go out there and dance by herself, she needs a few drinks in her system first. is more open to the idea once buzzed. she prefers dancing with shoko over dancing with satoru, finding how handsy he gets embarrassing. the man does not leave room for jesus. he is a fun dance partner though.

she wouldn't be a fan of the club. she doesn't like crowds, doesn't drink, and would consider dislocating anyone's wrist if they so much as brush against her. she speedruns any job that takes place at a nightclub. HWR reader is something of a neat freak, being near a bunch of sweaty bodies would make her eyes twitch. similar to chrollo in the sense that she can do ballroom dance but if you made her freestyle she'd be at a loss.

Description

The Greek lyric poet Anacreon lifts a garland up to a marble statue of the Three Graces whilst a child attendant, draped in a red ribbon, stands behind him, on the right holding a golden tazza on a tray. Two more children sit at the urn base of the statue, on the left, holding more flowers.

Anacreon (c. 573 – c. 495 BC) was a Greek lyric poet, notable for his drinking songs and erotic poems. Later Greeks included him in the canonical list of Nine Lyric Poets. Anacreon wrote all of his poetry in the ancient Ionic dialect. Like all early lyric poetry, it was composed to be sung or recited to the accompaniment of music, usually the lyre. Anacreon's poetry touched on universal themes of love, infatuation, disappointment, revelry, parties, festivals, and the observations of everyday people and life.

okay i’m going to describe what collar i’d get for each fave bc i truly love this idea:

zoro, a tiger hyrbid - a metal collar. i have to commission a blacksmith to make it, and they raise their eyebrow at the request, but the result is stunning and matches both zoro’s personality and interests 🩶

yuuji, a tiger hybrid - a cute, pink, kirby-themed collar that i probably have to find on etsy! it perfectly compliments his ears and tail 🩷

laios, a dog hybrid - a simple, brown leather collar; there may be a bit of embossing—a motif with vines or something botanical. a local artisan makes it and laios furiously wags his tail when i first put it on him 🤎

kabru, a cat hybrid - a simple, black leather collar. it’s almost identical to laios’s; it’s just a tad slimmer 🖤

childe, a fox hybrid - this menace doesn’t deserve a collar… but i get him one. it’s red, like his scarf and earring and mask. the cheeky shit wanted something nasty embossed on the inside so his neck would bear my “mark” as long as he wears it. whether or not i indulged him is anyone’s guess… ❤️
