thinking about how that solavellan ending actually Works for lavellans who want that hopeful ending but arent as forgiving abt the whole situation as veilguard presented it. and i do think in ashara's case, yes, she goes with him out of love, but more so out of duty. post trespasser she drops the name lavellan in favor of her family name, dhavise, since her place in the clan had already been cast into question and her allegiances with the chantry/solas are cause for doubt as to whether she's even welcome back anymore. but i think by the end of veilguard she's reaffirmed her identity as Lavellan no matter what, and truly does see herself as the Keeper of not just her own clan but of her whole modern people, and with that rekindled purpose she chooses to watch over them all by way of watching over fen'harel. protecting them by protecting him from himself. which ironically is the reason the dalish HAVE keepers in the first place

Something that bothers me a bit about Americans talking about The Golden Age of the economy is... It wasn't a golden age, not for everyone.

People seem to universalize the fact that you could afford college and rent when... That was true for specific people. It wasn't the universal - especially those who were Black, or Indigenous, or for PoC in general, or women, or queer and trans people. Universalizing any stage of America's history only tells one story. You don't acknowledge the stories of anyone else when you do this.

This just reminds me of Paris Is Burning, and of what was said about the ballroom participates, many of whom were BIPoC and/or queer:

So let me get this straight. Max is Max, Franco is in contention for the other Redbull seat, Yuki is tied to a VCarb seat for Honda, and now this? Sooo that math ain’t mathing for someone. (The actual article says it’s dependent on what happens with Lawson or Tsunoda).

eheh ^w^ finally got my first beetle clear in the SimU :)!!! only level one but i'm sooo happy. with how bad it beat my ass when it released being able to take my really poorly considered team and beat it felt sooooo good.

Also!!! i did a couple of celebratory 10 rolls and i got Lynx! two of her even! (i also got 2 hooks but let's not talk about those)

#pity is up to 50 now so i gotta remember to factor that into my calculations in future -w-)#i gotta check my pity in GI to... see if i can weasel my way closer to that second guarantee #anyway! beetles!! i was just doing to run to test out Dh now that I finally got a 4th artifact for him #and i still haven't figured out my team so i just... slapped Bladie in there #so it was basically 3 good built characters (fire mc + Nat + DH) and Bladie just. hitting like a wet noodle because i dunno how to use him #so. it was very satisfying winning with this team because it was very bad. we only won because DH is so damn good.#feel good. i built him well so far :) even if he is only 80% done #and Lynx!! so so happy about her. i don't know how to use Shielders so. i need a second healer for the forgotten hall and such #and having an extra quantum character can't hurt ehe~#i... ran out of lightcone levelling mats so i think i'm just gonna use all my resin for golden calx runs for a couple day. stock up #post: pull #post: misc #game: honkai sr
