Right now my only reason to live is to see the new update for Godus. That’s it. I NEED to see how they’ll expand the game and if they’ll give more plot.

Jesus Christ just when you thought Peter Molyneux couldn't get worse, he fucking manages it and comes out in favour of AI taking over the entire gaming industry
Fuck that man
Fuck everything about him and everything he's ever made
Fable was shit and I'm tired of pretending otherwise, same for everything he's made since

Gen V Preference: First Date
A/N: I know I'm awfully late lol but I'm re-watching Gen V and I am in love with Jordan and Luke lol and I just thought this would be cute :) Once requests open again, Gen V characters will be added to the list! Feedback is always appreciated! 💜💜💜
Luke takes you to the movies. He's a classic guy, it's a classic date. At first you thought it was a joke. You being asked out by Golden Boy? You laugh, unsure of what else to do. You tell him that's funny, cruel but funny, and you try to walk away. When he gives you this speech about him being serious, his tone genuine, you say yes, still unsure. He picks you up on a Friday night, grabbing tickets to a midnight showing. You two end up talking through the whole movie, whispering funny commentary, making the other laugh. You learn he likes chocolate with his popcorn and makes fun of him because of it. Big, famous, soon to be part of The Seven Golden Boy can't eat popcorn without a pack of M&Ms. It's so silly and yet so fitting. It isn't until halfway through do you realize you're actually on a date with Luke and that you're enjoying yourself.
Jordan isn't the best at expressing their feelings, but they do get jealous over you incredibly easily. They intercept another classmate inviting you to study with them, turning them down for you. When you ask why they did that, it just sort of comes out before they can stop: They want to go on a date with you. You weren't expecting that. You and Jordan had been academic rivals from the beginning. You thought they couldn't stand you. You ask if this is a trick or joke and, reluctantly, they admit that it isn't. You and Jordan end up going to the club their friends go to. You have a surprisingly nice time despite getting too competitive and taking too many shots. You play a game of who can get the most phone numbers. Jordan wins, but you accuse them of cheating. You're working with one gender, they have two. It's the best date you've ever been on. Not only is someone challenging you, but they're just as good as you are. It feels like a fair competition. Even if they are a cheater.
Andre wants to show you off and show off in general at a club. He knows this kind of thing isn't advised on campus, going against the rules clearly stated, but you're worth it. Andre is pretty speechless when you show up. You wanted to impress him, so you went all out. You dance and drink and show off your super abilities. It's fun. You forget that you're nervous, you forget all about your insecurities. He gives you this look like you're the only person in the room, in the world. Andre's been working up the courage to ask you out for ages. You've known one another since freshman year, but he was always too scared. It was Luke and Jordan who pushed him to ask you. Now you go to that club frequently, reminiscing about that first date, grateful he had taken that chance and you had said yes.
Cate asks you on a study date. You have a few classes together and she's still trying to figure out if you like her or not. She wants to play it safe, so she hints that she might need some help with a few subjects. Of course she doesn't, she's a straight A student, but you don't need to know that. She sets up a little study date at the library on a Friday night. She doesn't want to come off as clingy or needy, especially if you're not interested. You two get off topic pretty quickly. From family to friends, careers after GodU, petty drama, movies, shows. You end up spending hours together, laughing and talking, your homework is the last thing you're thinking about. She's still not 100% sure how you feel, but she's got a better sense that at least you could be friends. When you do actually get together, she admits that that night was a sort-of date. You had no idea, though looking back, you're of course glad it happened. It was the start of your relationship.
Marie has never been on a date before. This is a bigger deal for her than it is for you. Sensing her nervousness, you offer the idea of going to a party together. It's low-key, you can talk and drink and dance and, when you want to, you can leave. Emma helps her pick out an outfit and when you see her, she looks great. You walk together to the frat house, making small talk, the two of you equally nervous for different reasons. You're the first person she's ever liked. She wants to leave a good impression. She doesn't want you to be scared or creeped out by her Supe abilities. Whenever the conversation goes towards the subject she finds a way to change it. She wants to know about you. You're not sure what will happen after this. You really like her, but you know there's a lot she's not saying. Whatever she's hiding, you assure it can't be that bad. It definitely eases some of her worries, but she also knows it could be as bad as she fears. Maybe even worse.
Emma and you end up getting high in her dorm and watching movies. You and Emma met at the freshman orientation and clicked instantly. Maybe it was too fast to have feelings for you, but she didn't care. She presented it as a casual hangout. She had a mini fridge full of booze and a bong, you were more than happy to join her. You two laughed so hard you cried at the dumbest movies you could have picked out. Because she's high she's a lot less nervous around you, though she's worried she'll slip up and admit her feelings without even realizing. After you two become a couple she admits that that was an attempt at a date. You laugh, saying you would have liked to know it was a date, but it was perfect nonetheless.
Sam doesn't exactly know what is and is not a good date. He mostly knows what to expect from movies. You offer the idea of going to an arcade, some place familiar and low-key. He loves it. Despite his strength, Sam absolutely sucks at skee ball and you end up kicking his ass. He's better at pinball and driving games, but only because he has no idea what he's doing and wins because of dumb luck. He nearly breaks the buttons on the fighting games when he gets too excited. At the end of the date, he uses all his tickets to get you a little duck plushie. He's embarrassed, but you love it. You still have it. It's a reminder of that first date, how nervous and awkward you were, and how far you've come as a couple since then.

things to do with one hand/limited grip strength in your dominant hand
hi spoonies and suchlike. i am having some sort of a flare-up (probably carpal tunnel at this point, tbh) in my dominant hand, & i've been going CRAZY INSANE trying to keep myself occupied without exacerbating it. here's some stuff i have tried/am meaning to try that seems doable, even with the working hand being my non-dominant one :] feel free to add further suggestions!
crafts
finger painting (or drawing on the shower door/mirror when it's steamed up. you will have to BYO steam though)
air-dry clay with one hand? anything's possible! (keep it small, maybe?)
you could try learning to write/draw with your non-dominant hand (if that one isn't also fucky) (and not if you, like me, are prone to going "ah fuck it, i'm faster with my dominant hand, surely it can't hurt") (it CAN hurt) (ow)
pixel art! no gripping necessary; especially easy with a touchscreen. i've been using Pixel Studio on my ipad and it's pretty good! Aseprite on the computer will always win out for program quality, but clicking on my trackpad is more arduous than tapping a screen
music! i loveeee beepbox and it's all piano roll, so you don't have to play stuff realtime. otherwise you could try really resting your long-suffering fingies and doing a vocal mix on a DAW like garageband, cakewalk, logic, or reaper
origami if you can use your offhand for some support when folding
character playlists (suggested by a friend. love u, pal)
a friendship bracelet if you can secure it on something (and if you can do lots of tying knots)
write something? (dictation software might help if you can't type/handwrite with your off-hand. you could also just record yourself and transcribe it later)
games
some computer games can be played one-handed (either by default or with some remapping)—here's some reddit posts with suggestions in the comments (1) (2) (3) and a list article from thegamer and a steam collection. i don't think it's on any of those posts so i also rec Hades—you just need to remap the attack action (i put it on L-shift usually) but then you're good to go
on mobile: puzzle games like monument valley, a dark room, gubbins (hi nerdfighters), colour-matching games (i played I Love Hue for a while). is bejeweled still around?
on mobile again but fast-paced: platformer/tappy games like alto's adventure (or the sequel), crossy road, jetpack joyride, temple run
on mobile but longer-form: a dark room (again), godus, any town-building game (i think simcity is still kickin')
card games or chess online, Perhaps? i like a good bit of solitaire
outside
i don't have the energy to do these sorts of things, but perhaps you do
go to the park!
get a little treat and perhaps even sit in a nice location to consume it
window-shop (craft stores are excellent for this. don't bring a bag unless you want to Accidentally purchase pretty fibres that you will not use)
browse in the library. use your good hand to get stuff off the shelf
#me.txt#spoonie#chronic pain#invisible disability#physical disability#chronic illness#also you can shake your fist at god#brought to you by a guy who Cannot occupy himself just by watching a Media#i always need to have my hands busy. it's an affliction#(it's adhd)

Been thinking of the mobile game Godus lately. I’ve already played it through a few times. I wish I could play it on other devices, but I’m sure it’s a mobile exclusive game.

Peter Molyneux was not a name I expected to hear in the year of our Lord 2024, let alone see his face. The man has aged. I think the last time I've seen him was from the announcement of Godus. Had no idea he was still working after the debacle that game was. His new game looks interesting, especially since it seems to be an improved version of what Godus could've been. Just don't believe in whatever he says. He should not be taken at face value.

Fable 4 - A Frightening Proposition
Fable has always been one of my favorite gaming franchises.
Ever since Peter Molyneux introduced us to Lion Head Studio's Crasser Parody of Albion, I was immediately hooked on every little aspect. The gameplay was simple and satisfying with the staples of Melee, Ranged and Magic being there for players to utilize without any limitations.
The morale system was campy but serviceable and novel for the time, with no glaring defects with how it worked and operated. It was a mechanic that did what it said on the tin, If you do good, you get a little halo, if you do bad, you sprout horns and become generally more evil looking.
Fable would go on to mature over time, with Fable 2 being my favorite entry in the series, doing a lot of what Fable 1 did and put in exciting and interesting features like online co-op and mini games galore. (Plus an excellent dog to accompany you on your adventures, and that was genuinely lovely.)
However as jaded as Fable 3 made me, the story telling for all three games was spot on. It was comedic, painfully British and witty. It was the perfect Parody of an RPG in every way, down to the last nook and cranny. This is, however, what brings my worries.
On April 16th, 2016, Lion Head Studio was dissolved, Good Ol' Peter Molyneux went on to create a quirky, but ultimately doomed "Godus" and made people wonder about a strange magic cube you could tap on your phone. With the studio dark and Microsoft owning the rights to fable, my favorite action RPG was cast adrift in a sea of 'Maybe So' after a quirky brief teaser at 2020's Xbox Live Showcase. We got to see a fairy get eaten by a frog in a very tongue in cheek (Pun? Maybe?) way of saying "FABLE IS BACK BABY!" before we heard nothing for another four years.
Now the stagecoach driver is Playground Games, who's stellar track record is... Forza. Well, the game is off to at least a pretty and polished start. Forza's a solid racing game with some of the best graphics and simulations in the industry. An RPG it is not, however, and the Forza series isn't exactly known for it's stellar story line or quirky comedy. That's about when my potentially unfounded fears began.
Fable is only half gameplay and graphics. The charm of the game is what got me into it in the first place. It was surreal, grim, silly, and strange with titles like "Chicken Chaser" and "Arseface" being utilized by townsfolk and dark and sinister cults making poker and bingo nights on Fridays. They might worship a decaying old God of malice but they're still human after all (Virgin Chicken Sacrafices in all).
This year came about and we got two gorgeous trailers featuring a retired, jaded hero and a farmer who thinks he's better than any hero. The graphics are incredible and the voice acting is exactly on par. The two snippets into this new fairy-tale inspired world got my spark and excitement up but, really? Will any of that flat, English wit carry over into the games? I hope so, I can't wait for some piss-drunk commoner to call me Chicken Chaser incredulously after I killed a giant wasp that was about to murder him.
Just Albion things.
Stay Salty~

Writing Pattern Game
Thanks for the tag, @phoenixtakaramono !!
Rules: Share the first line of your last ten eight? published works or as many as you are able and see if there are any patterns! Considering my only published works are 'Homesick' and 'A Friend is Another Self', I'll also be posting some stories Irish and I have written privately for fun with story names/general plots. Since I mainly do co-author work I'll be posting the lines/replies I've written for these stories! Homesick:
Some people liked to say they were born to be parents. To bring someone into the world and give them purpose, to give them a life worth living. John never understood that. Wanting to be held accountable for another being..- bringing your own life to a halt to aid someone else's... That was until he met Ryan. A Friend is Another Self: The minute they arrived home, Steven opted to plop down onto the couch closest to the entrance, kicking their shoes off and tossing them aside as he sunk into the ratty old cushions. Their body refused to move after that, Steven letting their head hang off the backrest and letting out a tired noise. “I’m stuffed.” NOT POSTED / PRIVATE STORIES FROM IRISH AND FUCKINGPAJAMAS: An Education in Violence: [Synopsis: A young HL and Billy attend GodU to be #1, Butcher coming from an abusive home while John is fresh out of the lab, ready to prove himself to Vought] “He’s not ready.” “How sure are you?” Jonah paused, unease settling in as he remembered the last outburst. Six dead. Three injured. “He’s not ready, Edgar.” An annoyed sigh, followed by the methodical cleaning of glasses. Edgar simply nodded, eyes darting to the small window within the door leading to a hallway where a blonde boy was being kept but a few doors down.
Fuck Ikea: [Synopsis: John and William build a desk. Chaos ensues.] "John, desk's 'ere!" Homelander tossed the final stray lego into Ryan's bin, closing the lid and sliding it back under his bed as he moved to follow the sound of Butcher in the living room. It hadn’t been a significant amount of time since they’d moved in together, but John was already enjoying the new dynamic they’d fallen into. Something about the character-traits that made them both abrasive assholes also helped to maintain a balance. They handled each other well. John could tolerate William and William seemed docile enough. It just... worked.
Blood Upon The Risers: [Synopsis: A young Butcher fresh out of special ops has been tasked to watch over a young HL and ensure he is properly trained in combat situations] “Homelander, come on in.” Madelyn opened her office door, having expected her new hero as he nervously shifted his way over to the seat across from her desk. John wasn’t just brand new to the hero world, he was new to the world. Being the Homelander was a stark contrast to the over-abused lab rat he’d been a few years ago. But, he was here and free, at least. Entrusted to join the greatest team of heroes known to man and hopefully work his way up as he showed the public just how trustworthy he could be. Our Story: [Synopsis: A continuation of 'The Song Achilles' by Madelyn Miller] I see my name carved and finally, I am free. Tears fall from me and I breathe in, ready to see him again. To reclaim the piece of my soul that was so brazenly stolen from within my chest. When I awake, I only see a flash of light and then I understand as quickly as I fade away. I am reborn, destined to walk the earth without the man I love so. Before I can mourn my mind is gone, shoved into whatever flesh I have been assigned, screaming out a yell that never releases, watching his memories slip away from me. New Blood: [Synopsis: A young Hannibal and Will meet in New Orleans, their paths crossing when Will is shot in combat and brought to the hospital Hannibal Lecter resides in] Staring at the shiny metal roof of the ambulance, Will could register the gentle sway of the vehicle as it rushed towards the hospital, the voices of the paramedics inside no more than a dull ring that resided in the back of his skull. He wished he would've passed out like most people did. Instead, he remained awake, hair clung to his forehead thanks to the mix of blood and sweat that had gotten everywhere after catching the killer. How embarrassing would it be going back to work when he finally recovered? Bathed in Solitude: [Synopsis: Tony and Steve are dealing with the fallout post civil-war, having separated during the conflict] It’s days like these when Steve wonders what Tony must be up to. The quiet that came with the sunrise used to bring him calm, a sense of relief that the day was new and things started fresh. Now the gentle purple fading into yellow became his cruel reminder of each passing day, spent in shabby apartments and motels as he lived his life on the run. Gone were the days of private flights to Paris, only to watch Tony complain about the amount of froth in his lattes. It was as endearing as it was annoying. But as the shitty coffee machine in his latest room whirred and clanked in a way only old things could, Steve had to admit that he missed those complaints as much as everything else.

Emet-Selch in game: *knows he's chasing after something that's impossible to attain, but he's already committed so many atrocities in the name of seeing his loved ones again that he can't bring himself to stop now* Emet-Selch in fandom: It's okay that I'm a fascist because Venat was mean to me. >:(
GODU R RIGHT UR SO RIGHT!!!!! spot on w them vilifying venat too and them being like "ACKTHUALLY!!! SHE WAS THE FASCIST FOR SHATTERING AN ENTIRE GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT WERE GOING TO KILL THEMSELVES ANYWAY"
like the best part abt emet-selch is that even though he still believes in his convictions he still acknowledges that his actions were misguided. the wol power-of-friendshipped him so hard, he gets over his disdain for humanity and trusts them with his legacy
but nah wol shouldve went to aumorat alone and help him blow the world up bc hes sad

dove did u ever play iphone games,,, like not the super memorable angry birds or whatever but like a pet shop builder game
no one in my family owned apple products (besides my brother who got a macbook from work), so I can't say iphone games specifically because I vividly remember that a lot of cool apps were ios exclusive and I was very sad about it LOL. but generally speaking yes I definitely played app games! here is a selection of 6 random games I remember, for nostalgia's sake.
lps (gameloft)
I kept uninstalling and reinstalling this one but I truly harboured a weird sense of attachment to it. I just liked LPS and pet care shit so it was a collision of my interests. Look at those puppies!
2. hay day
I think I enjoyed this game a bit too much for an 8-year-old.
3. talking angela
I ONLY installed this because of the hoax. remember the hoax? the really famous one about this being a tool for child trafficking and there being "a pedophile in her eyes snapping photos of you" or something equivalent? 2014 youtube was absolutely full of 43838829 dogshit analysis videos zooming in on her eyes trying to figure out if the reflection was a human person.
I'm pretty sure this app had a very peculiar and dysfunctional AI freechat function, which was actually more unsettling than the hoax itself.
4. godus
this was a peculiar app where you essentially play as god and have free reign to terraform and control the world at will. you witness and help humanity evolve through different phases (or wreak havoc if you want to). I don't think the average child played this, but my friend and I did because 9-year-olds love playing god.
5. the toca boca app collection
THIS SHIT ROCKED.
6. this cunt

I like the game Godus. I feel like it’s not a game that a lot of other people like for some reason? I saw some talk about something to do with the people who made the game, but I still can’t figure out why. And honestly? Idk if it’s something I even wanna know.
