To the Christians who have the ideology that we will never stop sinning. . .how do you expect to get into Heaven? Now I might assume your answer is that it's by faith in Jesus Christ because that's how we are saved; gratefully through the grace of God.
Nevertheless, apart from that if you have it in your being that we will never be perfect or stop sinning, have you forgotten that God is holy and the word of God expressly says we are to be holy as He is holy?
Do you realize that to be in His presence, and especially for eternity, we are to be righteous as well as holy and not in sin? Or do you think that you could continue being sinful in Heaven? My brothers and sisters let it not be so.
While we're on this earth through the gift of life that God blesses us with; as those who start off as disciples of Jesus, we are to learn from His Way as we follow Him. We are to imitate Him and how He lived His life, as we grow in Him.
As Christians, we are to live by the Spirit of God and not our flesh. We cannot be Christians who willfully walk in the flesh, and continue to commit the same sins or even others. . .especially when we know the truth about sin, our salvation and the Spirit convicts us. The Spirit of God will not lead us into sin, but our flesh would cause us to if we choose to engage in it.
Regardless, those who are still struggling, rely on God for help against the flesh; the Spirit is there to guide us and help us. We are not alone in it. The work that God has started within us through His Spirit will not stop until Jesus Christ returns.
However, we are to be obedient to the counsel of the Spirit and the convictions we receive for any sins. Let us not abuse the grace God has given to us who are free from the Law; who now live as well as walk by the Spirit of God.
The grace of God is not a license to sin nor continue to do so. Jesus Christ said "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."
Repent and guard yourselves, keep watch and be sober minded for your adversary, the Devil walks around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.
This post will not be for everyone, but if the Spirit convicts your conscious, please pray and take it to God and ask Him if this is something you need to repent of and denounce. May the grace, mercy, love, and peace of God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ be upon you ✝️🤍.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
The spiritual gift of exhortation is often called the “gift of encouragement.” The Greek word for this gift is parakaleo. It means to call to one’s side to help, come alongside, beseech, exhort, to encourage and to strengthen.
¹¹ “Therefore, encourage one another and strengthen one another, as indeed you are doing.”
—1 Thessalonians 5:11
The primary means of exhortation is to remind the hearer of the powerful and amazing works of God in Christ, particularly in regard to the saving work of Jesus in the atonement. We see Paul commanding Titus to use this gift:
⁹ “In addition, he must hold firmly to the authentic message he has been taught, so that he may be able both to exhort with sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict it.”
—Titus 1:9
¹¹ “For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation to the entire human race. ¹² It teaches us to reject godless ways and worldly desires, and in the present age to lead lives that are temperate, just, and godly, ¹³ while we await our blessed hope, the appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. ¹⁴ He gave himself for us in order to deliver us from all iniquity and to purify for himself a people as his own who are eager to do good. ¹⁵ These are the things you should expound. Exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you.”
—Titus 2:11-15
He also charges Timothy to:
² “preach the message; be persistent in doing so, whether in season or out of season; convince, reprove, and encourage, but with great patience and instruction.”
—2 Timothy 4:2
The Spirit of God gives this gift to people in the church to strengthen and encourage those who are wavering in their faith. Those with the gift of exhortation can uplift and motivate others as well as challenge and rebuke them in order to foster spiritual growth and action. The goal of the encourager is to see everyone in the church continually building up everyone else in the body of Christ and glorifying God.
⁸ “If it is a gift of exhortation, we should encourage....”
—Romans 12:8
²³ “When he arrived and perceived the grace of God, he rejoiced, and he encouraged them all to remain faithful to the Lord with resolute devotion, ²⁴ for he was a good man, filled with the Holy Spirit and with faith. And a large number of people were added to the Lord.”
—Acts 11:23-24
²¹ “After they had proclaimed the good news in that city and gained a considerable number of disciples, they returned to Lystra and then moved on to Iconium and Antioch. ²² They strengthened the disciples and encouraged them to persevere in the faith, saying, “It is necessary for us to undergo many hardships in order to enter the kingdom of God.”
—Acts 14:21-22
³² “Judas [Barsabbas] and Silas, who were themselves prophets, spoke at length to strengthen and encourage the brethren.”
—Acts 15:32

Return, O Israel, to the LORD your God
1 Return, O Israel, / To Jehovah your God, / For you have fallen by your iniquity.
2 Take words with you, / And return to Jehovah; / Say to Him, / Forgive all iniquity, / And take us graciously; / Thus we will render our lips as bulls.
3 Assyria will not save us; / We will not ride upon horses. / Neither will we say again to the work of our hands, Our God! / Because in You the orphan finds compassion.
4 I will heal their apostasy; / I will love them freely; / For My anger has turned away from him.
5 I will be like the dew to Israel; / He will bud like the lily / And will send forth his roots like the trees of Lebanon.
6 His shoots will go forth; / And his splendor will be like that of the olive tree, / And his fragrance, like that of the trees of Lebanon.
7 Those who sit under his shade will return; / They will revive like grain / And will bud like the vine; / His renown will be like the wine of Lebanon.
8 Ephraim says, What have I yet to do with idols? / I respond and look on him. / I am like a green fir tree; / From Me your fruit is found.
9 Who is wise? / Then let him understand these things. / Who is intelligent? Then let him know them. / For the ways of Jehovah are right, / And the righteous will walk in them, / But the transgressors will stumble in them. — Hosea 14 | Recovery Version (REC) The Recovery Version of the Holy Bible © 2009 Living Stream Ministry. I have an interview tomorrow morning with an organization I still don't know a great deal about yet... And I'm feeling very nervous about it... And I have other interviews upcoming - a bit later in the week and next week. The interview tomorrow is with a marketing firm, positions as yet unknown.... But marketing isn't my area ( no problems with it - just idk man - sales is not usually my thing, so I'm very unsure- and nothing in my background is related.) and I feel like I'm kind of walking in blind. One possible position would likely be same old same old role that I have done before and i'm not excited about.... The other would be a stretch ( and i think they would be less likely to give to me) and i would need quite a bit of training up- AND this is marketing - so very image conscious and welp... my guess is they won't be thrilled with my looks. (it sucks and yes it's unfair but i also know in this moment unlikely to change right now.)
So why the angst right? If I feel this unsure and I'm not really sure I even WANT to work for them? Well... I really, really need a job. And the people whose house I am living in - with them are really exhorting to me that i need to get back to work more than ASAP. They've been very generous to me. So, if I get an offer - I'm unsure what to do... I also HATE rejection - so as much as i am handing it during this job search anyway - after an interview it hits so much harder... I want them to like me.. But I have other irons int he fire and I feel like I might want those more. But those interviews haven't happened yet.. and I'm scare if they give an offer would I be turning down a sure thing for a maybe... and if I did that - I'd have to tell the people I live with that. and Ugh - the stress. :(
Sorry for the even more than usual missing punctuation, and flouting all customary notions of english grammar. It's the anxiety brain. I'm used to having a sense of which way i want things to go- and I have no idea right now - or maybe it's i want both ends of the spectrum at once? I just want to push the button that says "finacially stable and happy without anyone (including me) getting hurt in the process of achieving the above." But it appears that button does not appear in this iteration of the multiverse. :( I know, earning it and self-esteem etc , but... BUTTON please.
Ok I'm going to try and get ready for bed. But some day I'm going to look back on this and laugh, right? or smile? or be proud of myself? Or something that will make all of this worth it? That's what I'm telling myself anyway.... God, I hope I am not wrong.
#God being used here as an expletive rather than an exhortation to a diety- though hey God if you're out there maybe some help plz?#and if there are several... many? i can't say i offer anything in the worship dept because clearly i don't but that doesn't mean#I wouldn't accept help - and this is me saying thank you in advance if you do. because i'm really in it now kids (whatever it is exactly)#at least i still have my nihilistic sense of humor - it's comin in clutch!#smh - ok bedtime.

Show us the way in which you want us to walk, Father, and guide us along your right path. Be the lamp that guides our steps and teach us what’s right and what’s wrong. Give us discernment through Your Holy Spirit, Lord, so that we can do as You have called us. And all of this I ask in Your Son’s Mighty and Powerful Name, Amen.
“For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths.”

Caring For the Aged (1 Timothy 5:1-8)
“It is easier for one poor father to bring up ten children, than it is for ten rich children to provide for one poor father.” Dutch proverb
Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity. Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need. But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and…

God Uses Bible Teachers to Help Us Grow Spiritually
Almost anyone can be used by the Lord to communicate divine revelation. Even a jackass can be the mouthpiece of God (Num 22:28-30). Biblically, Christians are directed to “teach and admonish one another” (Col 3:16), which shows that all believers can teach and counsel one another with the Word of God. Of course, this assumes they’ve been “constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the…

How should we respond together to the Lord's discipline?
Hebrews 12:11-17 discusses the Lord's discipline and how believers should support one another through it. This unified response showcases peace and holiness, helping others to see the Lord through our lives
The theme of the entire passage, Hebrews 12:11-17, is the discipline of the Lord and how we should respond to it together. First, we must recognize that our Father disciplines us to improve ourselves and become more like Him. Although discipline may seem painful as long as it continues, it produces justice and peace afterward. For this reason, we must understand that the Lord is not imposing a…

Inviting the Holy Spirit: A Personal Reflection on Reading the Bible and Prayer
July 30th, 2024 There are so many revelations to be found in the Bible. When we question “does this decision align with His word?” or “is this God speaking?”, I feel like it goes beyond just reading the scripture exactly how it is on the page. As I read stories and books in the Bible, I’m noticing there are themes to be found and lessons to be learned. It’s interesting the difference studying…

An interruption of the Layman's commentary. Are there prophets in this enlightened time of the New Testament?
My pastor, who is not the only one, will adamantly proclaim that there are NO prophets since the arrival of the New Testament. Is that true? David’s Charge to Israel
1 David held a meeting in Jerusalem for all the leaders of Israel-the leaders of the tribes, the leaders of the army units that served the king, the commanders of regiments and battalions, the officials in charge of all the property and livestock belonging to the king and his sons, the palace officials, the soldiers, and the fighting men. 2 David stood in front of them and said, "Listen to me, my relatives and subjects. I had my heart set on building the temple where the ark of the LORD's promise could be placed. This temple would be a stool for our God's feet, and I have made preparations to build it. 3 But God told me, 'You must not build the temple for my name. You have fought wars and caused bloodshed.' 4 Yet, from my entire family the LORD God of Israel chose me to be king of Israel permanently. He had chosen the tribe of Judah to lead [Israel]. From the families of Judah he chose my father's family. From among my father's sons he was pleased to make me king of all Israel. 5 And of all my sons (the LORD has given me many sons) he chose my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the LORD's kingdom to rule Israel. 6 "He told me, 'Your son Solomon will build my temple and my courtyards because I have chosen him to be my son. I will be his father. 7 I will establish his kingdom forever if he will remain determined to obey my commands and laws, as he is doing today.' 8 Now, [leaders, I order you] in the sight of Israel (the LORD's congregation) and as our God listens to dedicate your lives to doing everything the LORD your God has commanded. Then you will be able to possess this good land and leave it as an inheritance to your descendants.
9 "And you, my son Solomon, learn to know your father's God. Serve the LORD wholeheartedly and willingly because he searches every heart and understands every thought [we have]. If you dedicate your life to serving him, he will accept you. But if you abandon him, he will reject you from then on. 10 So be careful, because the LORD has chosen you to build the temple as his holy place. Be strong, and do it."
11 Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the entrance hall and the temple, its storerooms, upper rooms, inner rooms, and the room for the throne of mercy. 12 He gave him plans for the courtyards of the LORD's temple and for all the rooms around it. (These rooms served as treasuries for God's temple and the gifts dedicated to God.) 13 He determined the divisions of priests and Levites. He planned all the work done for worship in the LORD's temple. He designed all the utensils for worship in the LORD's temple. 14 [David specified] the weight of gold to be used for each of the utensils for worship, 15 the weight of the gold lamp stands and their gold lamps ([that is,] the weight of gold for each lamp stand and its lamps), the weight of silver for each silver lamp stand and its lamps (according to the use of each lamp stand for worship), 16 the weight of gold for each table with the rows of bread, and the silver for the silver tables, 17 the pure gold for the forks, bowls, and pitchers, the weight of each gold bowl, the weight of each silver bowl, 18 and the refined gold for the altar of incense. He also gave Solomon the plans for the chariot, that is, the gold angels with their wings spread to cover the ark of the LORD's promise.
19 [David said,] "All this was written for me by the LORD's hand. He made all the details of the plan clear to me."
20 David also told his son Solomon, "Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don't be afraid or terrified. The LORD God, my God, will be with you. He will not abandon you before all the work on the LORD's temple is finished. 21 Here are also the divisions of the priests and Levites for every type of worship in God's temple. You have with you every skilled worker to do all the work. In addition, all the leaders and people are at your command." — 1 Chronicles 28 | God's Word Translation (GWT) The Holy Bible, GOD’S WORD® Translation Copyright 1995 by God’s Word to the Nations.
