We’re chasing Desrosiers again.
Jim pulled his t-shirt up over his face and crept down to the lower edge of the crack.  With one foot, he broke some of the crystal flowers, then coughed and gagged when the stink of sulfur filled the air.  Once it cleared, he squatted down and peered into the darkness of the fissure for a moment. Then he straightened up and waved to the others.
“I think it’s okay!” he called.  “It’s warm, but not too hot.  Just be careful of the crystals.”
The others began to let themselves down.  Sharon and Natasha went first, and the rest of them formed a sort of human chain, holding hands up to the slope to where Sir Stephen, the strongest, acted as anchor point.  Nat let go of Sharon’s hand at the bottom, and let Jim help the rest of them down while Nat squatted at the edge of the cleft to see for herself.
Nothing but darkness was visible within, and no noxious vapors were rising out. The heat felt like an oven that had been turned off and was cooling, rather than one that was still on and blasting out heat.  Nat felt a bead of sweat roll down the middle of her back, but it was no worse than the heat of the full sun in Athens.
Clint came and got down on one knee next to Natasha.  “What do you think?” he asked.
“You still got that fishhook arrow?” she asked.
He pulled it out.
“Great,” said Nat.  “Hook it through the back of my t-shirt and let it unreel.  Then I can follow it back if I get lost.”
“And to think, you guys said I’d never use it!” said Clint.
With Clint’s fishline to be her thread out of the labyrinth, Nat turned on a flashlight and climbed into the fissure.  The blue-white LEDs illuminated weird, sharp shapes in the walls, formed by the folded lava.  In places it flinted off charcoal from long-buried trees.  In front of her was a steep slope heading down into the heart of the mountain, but the foamlike structure of the rocks was very rough, so that she didn’t have trouble keeping her footing.  Her main worry was cutting her hands and feet on the sharp rocks, or burning them on something that was still hot.
As she descended it got darker and darker, until the flashlight beam was the only illumination in total blackness.  This wasn’t safe, she thought.  There were too many unknowns.  Anything or anyone could be waiting in the dark.  The fishline could break on the rocks, leaving her lost and stranded.  Even girls from the Red Room had to weigh up the odds of success or failure in a situation like this.  A normal person would never have come down here in the first place.  It was time to go back.
Nat made it halfway, then slipped and fell and had to grab at the rocks. As she’d expected, this was painful, and the stoned dug into the flesh on her palms and knees.  Biting back the pain, she climbed the rest of the way on all fours and emerged, panting, back into the sunshine.  After the claustrophobic warmth inside the fissure, the cool outside air was a great relief.
“Are you o… your hand!” exclaimed Sharon.
Nat looked down.  Her knees were bloody from crawling on the rocks, as was her left hand.  The right one, however, the one that Newton had burned away and Jim had grown back – it was fine.
“Sharp rocks,” she said.  “The tunnel goes way inside the mountain.  It could come out anywhere.  We’d need proper caving equipment to really explore it.  I’m sure they’ve got something in there, though,” she added.  “Newton’s obsessed with the variations on his name.  He would think Naples is the only place for him to fulfill his destiny or whatever.  The New City.”  She paused as another piece clicked.  “Have any of you read the Greek New Testament?  Is what’s left after judgment day called God’s kingdom?  Or God’s city?  Because the New City…”
“Aw, man, this is making my head hurt,” Clint complained.
“A volcano has a channel that goes way inside the Earth,” Natasha went on, as things once again fell together.  “If you really wanted to blow a hole in the planet, to do something that would absolutely bring about the end of the world as we know it… deep down on a fault line would be the place to do it.  You’d end up with something akin to an asteroid impact, throwing dust and ash into the air to block out the sun.  A mass extinction.”
They wouldn’t have known that was possible in Newton’s time, when the best theory about the origin of life on Earth had been that God created it in seven days.  The Book of Revelation may have told Newton what the Anti-Christ was supposed to do, but modern science had told him how to do it.
“Desrosiers will stop him, though, won’t she?” asked Sharon.  “He must have told her that he only wants to make gold.  If he tries to do anything more, she’ll object, right?”
“She’s got the notebooks and everything,” Sam agreed.  “She’ll figure it out.”
She probably would. Desrosiers was the one who had told them that nobody wanted to die.  Even Newton didn’t really want to die.  He thought that by killing everybody else he could ensure his own immortality.  At the same time, when Nat looked around she could tell that not one of them was actually willing to just trust Desrosiers to take care of things. The only way to be sure was to take care of it themselves.
“We must find her again,” Sir Stephen said.
How would they do that? Finding her on Sicily had been very difficult and even then, they’d only succeeded because she’d wanted to be found. How would they find her when she was deliberately avoiding them?
“We know she likes swanky hotels,” said Sam.
“That’s true,” Nat agreed.  At Guedelon, she hadn’t been staying in the tents and bunkhouses with the workers. She’d had a nice RV.  She’d had a nice room in Athens, she’d been at one of the best hotels in Taormina.  She’d be somewhere with a pool and twenty-four hour room service.  “What’s the nicest place in Naples?”
They scrambled back down the mountainside, looking for a train station.  The Circumvesuviana Railway would be the quickest way back to Naples.  It was dark, and they were all sweaty and exhausted, by the time they reached the stop at Ercolano.  Luckily the station was offering water and wi-fi, and they were able to do a search for the most expensive places to stay in the city.  As they waited for the train, Nat called all of them, one by one.
“Bonjour,” she said, when the clerks picked up.  “I am looking to speak to Madame Helene Desrosiers.” They had no evidence she was still traveling under that name, but they didn’t know what other ones she might use. “I am told she is a guest with you, but I don’t know the room.  It’s very urgent.  Her daughter in France has been in an accident.”
The first two hotels she contacted apologized, but said they had no guest under that name.  On the third call, she hit pay dirt.
“I’m sorry, Madame,” the clerk replied.  “Signora Desrosiers has already checked out.  Her ship is departing tonight.”
“Her ship?” Nat asked. There had been a cruise ship in the harbor earlier… was Desrosiers leaving on that?  Had she already realized Newton was up to no good and abandoned him?  But if so, why was she simply leaving instead of trying to talk him out of the end of the world?  Maybe she’d taken the notebooks with her, or something else.  Something he wouldn’t notice was missing until he went to get the reactor started.  There was only one way to find out.
“Which ship?” she asked.
“I do not know, Madame. There are two in port right now.”
“I’ll see if I can catch up with her there.”  She disconnected and told the others, “she’s gotten on a ship.”
“Why?” asked Sam.
“We’ll ask her,” Nat promised.
They caught the train back to Naples, and reached the train station to find that the cruise ship they’d seen there earlier had already departed.  When they checked the timetables, they saw that it had been gone for several hours, and a bit of quick math told them it had put out to sea well before they’d seen the two figures on the volcano.  Desrosiers couldn’t be on that one.  Two others, however, had since arrived: the Pearl Princess and their old friend, the Scorpio II.
“I knew it was following us,” Clint declared.
Nat recalled something they’d read in one of Newton’s notebooks – something Newton himself had later referenced.  “Scorpio is supposed to be poison to the philosopher’s stone,” she said.  “Is it a coincidence, or did Newton deliberately put her on that ship?”
“Do we care?” asked Jim.
“Not really,” said Nat. “The only thing we care about is how we get on board.”
Sir Stephen frowned, watching the people coming and going on the docks.  It must have been nearly time for the Scorpio II to depart, because there was quite a lineup waiting to board.  Crew members were checking ID.  They weren’t going to be able to get on board that way.
Nat didn’t consider that a problem.  During her career as a spy, she’d stowed away on board airplanes, submarines, trains, and semi trucks.  She’d infiltrated banks, museums, shops, drug repositories, and police stations.  A cruise ship ought to be easy – every window and door on the entire ship was a possible way in.  They just had to pick one.
It couldn’t be anything on the side of the ship that faced into the port, of course, because they would be seen by hundreds of people.  There would be slightly fewer watching eyes if they went in at the stern, but still too many.  That meant they had to go around the starboard side, the one that faced out into the bay.
The first step to that was stealing a boat.  Naples was a holiday destination, so there were several private yachts moored in marinas all up and down the bay.  The group boarded one of these while the owners were eating a late dinner at a restaurant, and took it to the Scorpio II.  They approached from behind, figuring it was less likely anyone on board would see them from there.  The bottom few rows of cabin windows, likely to be splashed in rough seas, did not open. Higher up, there were staterooms with balconies.
“This is not a ship,” said Sir Stephen in awe, as they brought the little yacht alongside the towering vessel.  “This is a cathedral!  This is a dozen cathedrals!”
“It’s a palace,” said Nat.  “That’s the whole point.”  She studied the rows of balconies.  “We’ll take the lowest entrance we can, because that minimizes the risk of anyone seeing us climb past… that one there doesn’t have any chairs on it.”  She pointed to one on the corner on the starboard side.  “That probably means nobody’s staying there… they wouldn’t waste balcony chairs on an empty stateroom.”  She hoped.
“This is gonna require something bigger than a fishhook,” Clint said critically.
“You wouldn’t just happen to have anything, would you?” Nat asked.
His serious expression switched immediately to a bright smile as he pulled out another arrow. This one looked normal until he pressed a button, and four metal spines sprang out of the sides of the shaft.
“Grappling hook arrow do?” he asked.
“Grappling hook arrow sounds perfect,” Nat agreed.

“See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” -Exodus 25:40
The last section of Exodus (ch. 25-40) describes God’s plans for the tabernacle and the priesthood. God gave Moses the tabernacle pattern on Mt. Sinai and warned him to make everything accordingly.
So far, God has fulfilled His promises in Exodus 6:6-8 by delivering His people from Egypt (Ex. 1-18) and…

Our 2 Kings 7 Kind of Life
Don’t you love it when God shows up?
Have you ever missed it when God showed up?
What about now?
Today, opinions are a dime a dozen. Talk to a dozen people, and you’ll get a dozen different angles on any of a dozen subjects. But in spite of our differences of opinion on any of a wide range of topics, I think we all agree on one thing these days; had I interrupted your Christmas celebration this past December (whether or not I were wearing camel’s hair and in need of a good flossing to extract locust legs from between my teeth), telling you the following list of things would all come true in less than 90 days, you would have labeled me a complete crazy man and would’ve told me to go back beneath the rock from which I had come.
“In less than 90 days,…”
1.       You, over there in the Free Enterprise motor coach pullover (that would’ve been me) … you will be returning to the University of Indianapolis with the Men’s Lacrosse team from South Carolina before playing the final game of your trip–but oddly enough, both teams will be fully healthy, the weather will be ideal, and the trip will have been coasting along without a hitch. Oh, and the university’s administration will also require the other eight remaining U Indy teams, participating in their various collegiate sporting events from Florida to California and everywhere in between, to immediately return to campus as well. And, once you return, your entire fleet of buses will be emptied of fuel, removed from insurance plans, and put out of service–though all machines are mechanically sound and all drivers are healthy and available to drive.
2.       And you, in the red Community Hospital valet shirt (that would’ve be my wife) … you will be in your new role in the front office of the Center for Genetic Health. But having been asked not to congregate with your co-workers in the perfectly suited and newly designed office space the hospital had just finished, you and all of your co-workers will be working from home to reschedule all patient appointments sixty days or more into the future–unless they are willing to conduct their appointment over the phone or via video-chat.
3.       The NBA post-season will never happen, and the balance of the season itself will be stopped cold in its tracks at half-time of a game in the Mountain Time Zone on Wednesday, March 11th.
4.       All NCAA spring athletic events will be cancelled for the remainder of the school year and March Madness won’t happen.
5.       There will be no date set to begin the MLB season.
6.       Grocery stores will have been unable to keep chicken, ground beef, bread and toilet paper on their shelves.
7.       Gasoline will, in some places, be under a dollar a gallon, but few will be filling up.
8.       The nation’s restaurants will be closed for all dine-in experiences while the fortunate will try to stay in business by doing carry-out or drive-through business only.
9.       All shopping malls, strip malls, barber shops and hair and nail salons will be closed.
10.   The Federal Government will be sending $1,200 tax-free cash gifts to the vast majority of American citizens.
11.   The world will have a drastic shortage of personal protective equipment.
12.   The Down Jones Industrial Average will suffer 3 of its worst days since the “Black Monday” market crash in 1987 in the span of less than a week, losing roughly one-third of its value in a matter of about eight days.
13.   State governors will be requesting their citizens “shelter in place” by remaining home but for essential trips for food or health-related emergencies, while in some states it will be a finable offense to travel anywhere but to secure such.
14.   The President and VP of the United States will be holding daily, 2-hour press briefings for weeks on end.
15.   Frequent air travel will be little but a memory, international travel banned, airfares costing less than a good meal out (which will no longer be happening).
16.   The President will sign a presidential memorandum that will require the likes of General Motors to begin manufacturing respiratory ventilators.
17.   Dozens of privately held companies like Michael Lindell’s “My Pillow,” will be transformed into N-95 facemask factories.
18.   Samaritan’s Purse will have set up and be running a fully-functioning hospital in the middle of New York City’s Central Park.
19.   The United States Naval Hospital Ship “Comfort” will have been deployed to New York to help in the cause.
20.   Most people will be wearing PPE masks everywhere they go.
21.   All public concerts world-wide will be on hold.
22.   Churches will be asked not to meet, and nearly all will comply without resistance.
23.   Employees representing nearly every U.S. industry will be furloughed, let go or kept on payrolls with forgivable loans from the Fed.
24.   People will be asked to stand in lines outside Lowe’s stores at six-foot intervals to ensure active shopper customer quotas are kept while both one-way entries and exits are monitored.
25.   Many stores will be required to close down public access to much of their merchandise not deemed “essential,” to help support the cause.
26.   Pork, chicken and other meat packing plants in the U.S. will be closing down.
27.   U.S. unemployment will be at the highest rate since the Great Depression as new weekly filing claims will be counted not in the hundreds of thousands, but in the millions.
28.   The nation’s, and most of the world’s movie theaters, will be closed.
29.   People without facemasks will be shunned and avoided by “mask-wearers.”
30.   Neighbors will be sitting in their driveways and on FRONT porches again.
31.   College students will be home with their families, taking part in online classwork since all university campuses will be closed prior to semesters’ end.
32.   In lieu of our celebrating athletes and Hollywood types, doctors, nurses and healthcare workers will be the new heroes.
33.   People in some industries will be earning more to stay at home than while working full time.
34.   The Fed will be paying the unemployed an additional $600/week over and above the state provisions.
35.   All elective surgeries will be halted while hospital ORs remain unused.
36.   Online church “attendance” will skyrocket, leading to thousands and thousands of new believers.
37.   American celebrity musicians will be holding online “Global Citizen” concerts to raise millions of dollars to give to the World Health Organization which is being held liable for its part in enabling the death of hundreds of thousands in nearly 200 countries world-wide.
Would any of these things been plausible just a few months ago?
Obviously, this is only a partial list, and one to which most of us could quickly add another dozen. And NOTE they’re not all bad! Isn’t it just like God to orchestrate blessing in the face of difficulty?
But in my mind, these “90-days-ago incomprehensible occurrences” are not unlike the similarly baffling predictions that Elisha, in 2 Kings Chapter 7, was revealing to the king and his officer.
Here’s the short version:
Elisha replied, “Hear the word of the Lord. This is what the Lord says: About this time tomorrow, a seah [probably about 7 lbs] of the finest flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria.”
The officer on whose arm the king was leaning said to the man of God, “Look, even if the Lord should open the floodgates of the heavens, could this happen?”
“You will see it with your own eyes,” answered Elisha, “but you will not eat any of it!”
The officer was utterly confounded. “Really? How could this be?” And to be sure, there is no way, given their circumstance at the time, they could have concocted such an unlikely series of events.
(Read verses 3-13 to learn how this mystifying prophecy actually took place.)
But then, the verdict is recorded in the later verses...
“So they selected two chariots with their horses, and the king sent them after the Aramean army. He commanded the drivers, “Go and find out what has happened.” They followed them as far as the Jordan, and they found the whole road strewn with the clothing and equipment the Arameans had thrown away in their headlong flight. So the messengers returned and reported to the king. Then the people went out and plundered the camp of the Arameans. So a seah of the finest flour sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley sold for a shekel, as the Lord had said.”
Now the king had put the officer on whose arm he leaned in charge of the gate, and the people trampled him in the gateway, and he died, just as the man of God had foretold when the king came down to his house. It happened as the man of God had said to the king: “About this time tomorrow, a seah of the finest flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria.” ...but your officer will not eat any of it.
What’s my point?
God often does things in ways no man would ever script. What we deem impossible is a drop in the bucket of God’s immeasurable and endless power and insight. After all, He knows the future!
But here’s what WE do.
If told of how the above-mentioned improbables would come true by late-March, we would have responded, “Oh I see. What a tragic series of events. But I understand now how that will happen. It all makes sense.”
And because it “makes sense” in hindsight, we disregard the overriding variable of the supernatural God into the equation and chalk up the now-plausible circumstance as nothing more than the “natural” occurrence of things.
No matter how crazy things get, when viewing world events on merely the natural plane, most won’t need a God to “see it.” It will all make logical, cause-and-effect sense.
In the same way, I believe much of what will lead up to Revelation 12 and is told us in Daniel 11:31 and following, will likewise “make good sense” to the mind of mankind at the time. Going so far as to think of the Anti-Christ to come, we have to assume he will not come into power forcefully, but peaceably, with the full support of a global community…one that is now forming rapidly. Yes, it will all “make perfect sense,” for the answers and charismatic leadership of the one we know is to come will help to solve what will have become the world’s most pressing and previously unsolvable complexities. And the world community will give him his prominent role.
Still, for those in Christ, let me be clear that these can be days of amazing intrigue and anticipation, not fear and worry.
But, you see, my point is that this is how God usually chooses to bring about his plans, through a course of events that will be laced in the common sense of man … so much so that even the elect would be deceived were it possible (Matthew 24:24).
BUT, He gives light to the eyes of his children. Our great and unshakeable God has let us in on his plans. We are his friends if we do what He commands (John 15:14). And as friends of the Son of God, the Son has made known us to his agenda (John 15:15).
Now, my intention is not to insinuate we are absolutely on the cusp of the rapture of the Church, or teetering at the edge of the Tribulation–though I’m also not saying that we couldn’t be, for the Father alone only knows the day of Jesus’ return for his children (Matthew 24:30-42).
What I am saying is that if we can learn anything from history, and from an acquaintance with the scriptures, we can assume that the initial events predicted in the Bible will likely “make sense” in the moment to the mind of unregenerate man.
So, one last question.
Given our current sermon series at my home church, Northview Church, I am wondering if you are listening, watching and fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit living inside you? It’s something about which I wrote in great length as well in SET FREE.
Do you know the mind of Christ? Do you have the mind of Christ?
If not, it’s time to change that. If not, you may be missing that God himself is showing up right now on planet Earth.
Place your trust in Jesus Christ. He is ready to open your eyes.
Maybe it’s time you learn more about the God who is doing something incredible right now in the midst of this unprecedented time. Maybe it’s time you gain in you the Resource that dispells anxiety and replaces it with a calm assurance the world will never understand.
You can learn more about having a relationship with Jesus here. Or, reach out to a pastor at Northview Church by texting “NEXT” to 85379 and selecting Option 2.
God is showing up right now. Don’t miss him in the details.
Keep watching.

Potential Post-Pandemic Changes – My 50 Pointer
1.       Most of us might grow our own fruits, vegetables and herbs in our backyards or even as a container garden in the kitchen. Few might go vegan or adopt vegetarianism for good.
2.       After months of lockdown, we now know what other living beings have been going through for ages, inside the cages in zoo and at home. Maybe, it’s time to set them all free.
3.       Greeting which involve physical contacts like hugs, kisses or handshakes might not be a sustainable option now.
4.       Tele-visits to consult your GP, doctors or therapists might continue since few might find it as a safe option.
5.       An increase in online learning, home schooling and Work-from-home are a sure thing! Companies that sell gym equipment, gadgets and Internet providers will continue to do very well along with online learning websites, online payment system and remote conferencing services companies.
6.       Pollution control is the silver lining during the pandemic. Going forward, we might even have a lock-down dedicated for controlling pollution levels. We might bring down the use of air purifiers, with such lock down in the future.
7.       With so much news doing the rounds that air travel and hotels are big breeding grounds for virus, few companies might choose to have business meetings online and call off the practice of dinner with clients at expensive restaurants for good.
8.       DIY videos for masks, hand wash and hand sanitizers will urge us to make our own products at home. Most countries might start manufacturing everything they need locally. In-sourcing of essential goods could be a good start point.
9.       With a tiger contracting COVID-19 in a New York zoo, few reports have come out that the cat family is vulnerable to the pandemic. There are chances people might stop having cats as pets for a while.
10.   The lockdown has forced most of the restaurants to be closed, since the take-away weren’t helping either. This has forced us all to realize how homemade food is super healthy.
11.   Since people with persistent ailments are more susceptible to COVID-19, this pandemic will increase our awareness and mindfulness when it comes to staying healthy, exercising and regular health checks.
12.   Smokers and alcoholics will think twice before going for it.
13.   Being indoors, family time fun will increase in few households. Most of us will utilize this housebound time and get back to reading, pick up new hobbies and hone our skills.
14.   As an aftermath, even the slightest symptom like a cough will freak out everyone. The term ‘Virus’ is scarier than ‘Cancer’ nowadays.
15.   After-parties, audio and trailer release functions, bachelor parties and other gatherings will drastically see a downward trend. All essential meetings with delegates will look like exam halls, where people distance each other.
16.   Imagine your favorite actor with a mask in his next movie! Film making will call for a lot of creativity to make a movie or a web series with all the actors socially distancing from each other.
17.   Visiting theaters, supermarket, airports or any public gathering for that matter, will give you so much anxiety as if you are at a war zone. Watching movies in theaters might stop soon. Movies, just like web series, will target Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Quibi and the likes.
18.   Social distancing is directly proportional to social networking. The more we are housebound, the more we will utilize social networking sites.
19.   Brick-and-mortar supermarkets might end up closing their stores and instead sell everything online.
20.   We might end up shopping and spending more on masks rather on other clothing. On the lighter side, it might not be surprising if we might have to wear spacesuits in public places as a protective measure.
21.   While this pandemic has forced divorce rate to go up in some countries, gang life and prostitution has come down drastically in few others.
22.   Though COVID-19 has forced China to ban dog meat, people in some parts of the world continue to eat bizarre food like kangaroo meat and crocodile meat. Poaching and trafficking rhinos and pangolins in the name of making medicines continue though.
23.   While few of us will try to stick to our current jobs whatsoever, the ones who lost their job due to the pandemic, might be forced to re-skill in coming days. Multifaceted skills might be the new norm.
24.   Even though someone knocking your door during the lockdown is unwelcome and creates some anxiety, delivery guys are our new heroes.
25.   We might end up giving up on our servants, household help, nannies, caretakers etc for good, since this lock down period is long enough to train us to be self-sufficient.
26.   In few countries, violence against women might come down, while domestic violence faced by women indoors might continue with no voice.
27.   Shortage of basic needs, money and food might lead to violence in few parts of the world. Job loss, recession, stock market crash, food shortage, bankruptcy, looting etc might resonate with the aftermath.
28.   With the COVID-19 vaccine predicted to be taking a year to come into action, the test kits could be manufactured and sold in large numbers like pregnancy test kits.
29.   Not guns, but cough could be the next self-defense mechanism.
30.   The pandemic has forced interest rates to be slashed and this might happen for a year or so.
31.   Rents remain unpayable by many all over the world. But during this crisis, some good Samaritans, celebrities and the rich have voluntarily come forward to help and empathize with people in need.
32.   We might end up becoming self-dependent with our daily necessities like cooking, washing, laundry, cleaning, mowing and domestic repairs. Women will continue to have more workloads with kids learning online.
33.   We might clearly understand and implement ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’ concept, which was long pending.
34.   With wild animals and birds venturing into the cities and other rural areas around the world, we might end up accepting other creatures, at last and begin to live and let live. This way we will know to survive peacefully and give them their space too.
35.   With restrictions on visiting places of religion, we will learn to see God in each other. This will teach us to respect all religions and races.
36.   Since it is believed that currencies are carrier of the virus, currencies are soon going to be a thing of the past. Digital payment methods are inevitable. This might pave way for accelerated Cryptocurrency adoption.
37.   Digital reading, audio books, e-magazines and newspapers are the new norms. Going forward, the best option to gift others could be gift cards, online subscription coupons or anything delivered home.
38.   We know that Italy lost many seniors to the pandemic due to the joint family culture it follows. But in few places, job loss might force few youngsters to come back and stay with their families. This will create a lot of contemplation whether youngsters should stay with seniors are not.
39.   Visitors to the senior living or old age homes might need a lot of tests and checks to be permitted.
40.   With WFH adults and online learning kids, electricity and internet are dire essentials these days. It wouldn’t be surprising if the world moves towards more solar panel installations.
41.   We might learn never to waste our food and other resources, the hard way. With food shortage, decrease in food export, import or shipping, population control might soon be the need of the hour.
42.   Respect for stay-at-home moms, delivery guys, front liners, health care workers, police officers, handyman and all daily wagers who still show up during the pandemic, will increase drastically.
43.   Few opportunists might misuse this period and come up with tricks to rip the peace in us.
44.   Soon, with everyone going around with masks on, the sales of lipstick will come down.
45.   For those who habitually spit in public places, this might be a chance to change.
46.   Automobile sales in near term might come down, with the comfort of WFH and avoiding the unpeaceful, crowded and long travel time to work-place.
47.   The current security checks at airport is already exorbitant, but with the pandemic, we might have to spend more time for a mandatory temperature screening and maybe a COVID-19 test too.
48.   More people might move to countryside and villages soon, thereby creating another set of problems in the rural areas.
49.   With many front liners affected by COVID-19, we might soon see robots in places of doctors, lab technicians, nurses and in other healthcare services. More drones might be used in assisting Police. The adoption of AI will increase multi fold and investments in healthcare might increase.
50.   With an increase in masks, gloves and other PPE, developed nations might dump more trash in poor and developing countries.

1 Kings 7; 2 Chr 4; Psalm 44; 1 Tim 2
Discuss in the comments section.
The following text is from the English Standard Version.
1 Kings 7
7:1 Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished his entire house.
2 He built the House of the Forest of Lebanon. Its length was a hundred cubits and its breadth fifty cubits and its height thirty cubits, and it was built on four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams on the pillars. 3 And it was covered with cedar above the chambers that were on the forty-five pillars, fifteen in each row. 4 There were window frames in three rows, and window opposite window in three tiers. 5 All the doorways and windows had square frames, and window was opposite window in three tiers.
6 And he made the Hall of Pillars; its length was fifty cubits, and its breadth thirty cubits. There was a porch in front with pillars, and a canopy in front of them.
7 And he made the Hall of the Throne where he was to pronounce judgment, even the Hall of Judgment. It was finished with cedar from floor to rafters.
8 His own house where he was to dwell, in the other court back of the hall, was of like workmanship. Solomon also made a house like this hall for Pharaoh's daughter whom he had taken in marriage.
9 All these were made of costly stones, cut according to measure, sawed with saws, back and front, even from the foundation to the coping, and from the outside to the great court. 10 The foundation was of costly stones, huge stones, stones of eight and ten cubits. 11 And above were costly stones, cut according to measurement, and cedar. 12 The great court had three courses of cut stone all around, and a course of cedar beams; so had the inner court of the house of the Lord and the vestibule of the house.
13 And King Solomon sent and brought Hiram from Tyre. 14 He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in bronze. And he was full of wisdom, understanding, and skill for making any work in bronze. He came to King Solomon and did all his work.
15 He cast two pillars of bronze. Eighteen cubits was the height of one pillar, and a line of twelve cubits measured its circumference. It was hollow, and its thickness was four fingers. The second pillar was the same. 16 He also made two capitals of cast bronze to set on the tops of the pillars. The height of the one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits. 17 There were lattices of checker work with wreaths of chain work for the capitals on the tops of the pillars, a lattice for the one capital and a lattice for the other capital. 18 Likewise he made pomegranates in two rows around the one latticework to cover the capital that was on the top of the pillar, and he did the same with the other capital. 19 Now the capitals that were on the tops of the pillars in the vestibule were of lily-work, four cubits. 20 The capitals were on the two pillars and also above the rounded projection which was beside the latticework. There were two hundred pomegranates in two rows all around, and so with the other capital. 21 He set up the pillars at the vestibule of the temple. He set up the pillar on the south and called its name Jachin, and he set up the pillar on the north and called its name Boaz. 22 And on the tops of the pillars was lily-work. Thus the work of the pillars was finished.
23 Then he made the sea of cast metal. It was round, ten cubits from brim to brim, and five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference. 24 Under its brim were gourds, for ten cubits, compassing the sea all around. The gourds were in two rows, cast with it when it was cast. 25 It stood on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east. The sea was set on them, and all their rear parts were inward. 26 Its thickness was a handbreadth, and its brim was made like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily. It held two thousand baths.
27 He also made the ten stands of bronze. Each stand was four cubits long, four cubits wide, and three cubits high. 28 This was the construction of the stands: they had panels, and the panels were set in the frames, 29 and on the panels that were set in the frames were lions, oxen, and cherubim. On the frames, both above and below the lions and oxen, there were wreaths of beveled work. 30 Moreover, each stand had four bronze wheels and axles of bronze, and at the four corners were supports for a basin. The supports were cast with wreaths at the side of each. 31 Its opening was within a crown that projected upward one cubit. Its opening was round, as a pedestal is made, a cubit and a half deep. At its opening there were carvings, and its panels were square, not round. 32 And the four wheels were underneath the panels. The axles of the wheels were of one piece with the stands, and the height of a wheel was a cubit and a half. 33 The wheels were made like a chariot wheel; their axles, their rims, their spokes, and their hubs were all cast. 34 There were four supports at the four corners of each stand. The supports were of one piece with the stands. 35 And on the top of the stand there was a round band half a cubit high; and on the top of the stand its stays and its panels were of one piece with it. 36 And on the surfaces of its stays and on its panels, he carved cherubim, lions, and palm trees, according to the space of each, with wreaths all around. 37 After this manner he made the ten stands. All of them were cast alike, of the same measure and the same form.
38 And he made ten basins of bronze. Each basin held forty baths, each basin measured four cubits, and there was a basin for each of the ten stands. 39 And he set the stands, five on the south side of the house, and five on the north side of the house. And he set the sea at the southeast corner of the house.
40 Hiram also made the pots, the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram finished all the work that he did for King Solomon on the house of the Lord: 41 the two pillars, the two bowls of the capitals that were on the tops of the pillars, and the two latticeworks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the tops of the pillars; 42 and the four hundred pomegranates for the two latticeworks, two rows of pomegranates for each latticework, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars; 43 the ten stands, and the ten basins on the stands; 44 and the one sea, and the twelve oxen underneath the sea.
45 Now the pots, the shovels, and the basins, all these vessels in the house of the Lord, which Hiram made for King Solomon, were of burnished bronze. 46 In the plain of the Jordan the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarethan. 47 And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because there were so many of them; the weight of the bronze was not ascertained.
48 So Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of the Lord: the golden altar, the golden table for the bread of the Presence, 49 the lampstands of pure gold, five on the south side and five on the north, before the inner sanctuary; the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs, of gold; 50 the cups, snuffers, basins, dishes for incense, and fire pans, of pure gold; and the sockets of gold, for the doors of the innermost part of the house, the Most Holy Place, and for the doors of the nave of the temple.
51 Thus all the work that King Solomon did on the house of the Lord was finished. And Solomon brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, the silver, the gold, and the vessels, and stored them in the treasuries of the house of the Lord. (ESV)
2 Chr 4
4:1 He made an altar of bronze, twenty cubits long and twenty cubits wide and ten cubits high. 2 Then he made the sea of cast metal. It was round, ten cubits from brim to brim, and five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference. 3 Under it were figures of gourds, for ten cubits, compassing the sea all around. The gourds were in two rows, cast with it when it was cast. 4 It stood on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east. The sea was set on them, and all their rear parts were inward. 5 Its thickness was a handbreadth. And its brim was made like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily. It held 3,000 baths. 6 He also made ten basins in which to wash, and set five on the south side, and five on the north side. In these they were to rinse off what was used for the burnt offering, and the sea was for the priests to wash in.
7 And he made ten golden lampstands as prescribed, and set them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north. 8 He also made ten tables and placed them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north. And he made a hundred basins of gold. 9 He made the court of the priests and the great court and doors for the court and overlaid their doors with bronze. 10 And he set the sea at the southeast corner of the house.
11 Hiram also made the pots, the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram finished the work that he did for King Solomon on the house of God: 12 the two pillars, the bowls, and the two capitals on the top of the pillars; and the two latticeworks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; 13 and the 400 pomegranates for the two latticeworks, two rows of pomegranates for each latticework, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars. 14 He made the stands also, and the basins on the stands, 15 and the one sea, and the twelve oxen underneath it. 16 The pots, the shovels, the forks, and all the equipment for these Huram-abi made of burnished bronze for King Solomon for the house of the Lord. 17 In the plain of the Jordan the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredah. 18 Solomon made all these things in great quantities, for the weight of the bronze was not sought.
19 So Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of God: the golden altar, the tables for the bread of the Presence, 20 the lampstands and their lamps of pure gold to burn before the inner sanctuary, as prescribed; 21 the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs, of purest gold; 22 the snuffers, basins, dishes for incense, and fire pans, of pure gold, and the sockets of the temple, for the inner doors to the Most Holy Place and for the doors of the nave of the temple were of gold. Psalm 44; 1 Tim 2
To the choirmaster. A Maskil of the Sons of Korah.
44:1 O God, we have heard with our ears, our fathers have told us, what deeds you performed in their days, in the days of old: 2 you with your own hand drove out the nations, but them you planted; you afflicted the peoples, but them you set free; 3 for not by their own sword did they win the land, nor did their own arm save them, but your right hand and your arm, and the light of your face, for you delighted in them.
4 You are my King, O God; ordain salvation for Jacob! 5 Through you we push down our foes; through your name we tread down those who rise up against us. 6 For not in my bow do I trust, nor can my sword save me. 7 But you have saved us from our foes and have put to shame those who hate us. 8 In God we have boasted continually, and we will give thanks to your name forever. Selah
9 But you have rejected us and disgraced us and have not gone out with our armies. 10 You have made us turn back from the foe, and those who hate us have gotten spoil. 11 You have made us like sheep for slaughter and have scattered us among the nations. 12 You have sold your people for a trifle, demanding no high price for them. 13 You have made us the taunt of our neighbors, the derision and scorn of those around us. 14 You have made us a byword among the nations, a laughingstock among the peoples. 15 All day long my disgrace is before me, and shame has covered my face 16 at the sound of the taunter and reviler, at the sight of the enemy and the avenger.
17 All this has come upon us, though we have not forgotten you, and we have not been false to your covenant. 18 Our heart has not turned back, nor have our steps departed from your way; 19 yet you have broken us in the place of jackals and covered us with the shadow of death. 20 If we had forgotten the name of our God or spread out our hands to a foreign god, 21 would not God discover this? For he knows the secrets of the heart. 22 Yet for your sake we are killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.
23 Awake! Why are you sleeping, O Lord? Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever! 24 Why do you hide your face? Why do you forget our affliction and oppression? 25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our belly clings to the ground. 26 Rise up; come to our help! Redeem us for the sake of your steadfast love!
2:1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. 7 For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
8 I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling; 9 likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, 10 but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works. 11 Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve; 14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. 15 Yet she will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control. (ESV)
The reading plan I’ve chosen is from Bible Class Material and it’s a 5 day plan, with weekend days to catch up or get ahead or just take a break!

Righteousness
Matt 5:6 [WEB] Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.
Matt 5:10 Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
Matt 6:33 But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matt 13:41-43 41  The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and those who do iniquity, 42  and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth. 43  Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Matt 13:49, 50 So will it be in the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked from among the righteous, 50  and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.”
Matt 23:28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
Matt 25:34-46 34  Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; 35  for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. 36  I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.’ 37  “Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? 38  When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? 39  When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’ 40  “The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,‡ you did it to me.’ 41  Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels; 42  for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink; 43  I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’ 44  “Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’ 45  “Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’ 46  These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Luke 14:13, 14 13  But when you make a feast, ask the poor, the maimed, the lame, or the blind; 14  and you will be blessed, because they don’t have the resources to repay you. For you will be repaid in the resurrection of the righteous.”
Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness
Rom 1:29-32 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers, 30 backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.
Rom 2:5-10 5 But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath, revelation, and of the righteous judgment of God; 6 who “will pay back to everyone according to their works:” 7 to those who by perseverance in well-doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life; 8 but to those who are self-seeking, and don’t obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, will be wrath, indignation, 9 oppression, and anguish on every soul of man who does evil, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 10 But glory, honor, and peace go to every man who does good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Rom 6:13 Also, do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
Rom 6:16 Don’t you know that when you present yourselves as servants and obey someone, you are the servants of whomever you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?
1Cor 6:9-10 9 Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom.
1Cor 13:4-7 4 Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, 5 doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; 6 doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
2Cor 6:14 Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?
2Cor 11:13-15 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as Christ’s apostles. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is no great thing therefore if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
Gal 3:11 Now that no man is justified by the law before God is evident, for, “The righteous will live by faith.”
Eph 4:23, 24 23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
Eph 5:9, 10 9 for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, 10 proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.
2Thess 2:8-12 8 Then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will kill with the breath of his mouth, and destroy by the manifestation of his coming; 9 even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn’t receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 Because of this, God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie; 12 that they all might be judged who didn’t believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
1Tim 1:9-11 9 as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine, 11 according to the Good News of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
1Tim 6:11 But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
2Tim 2:19 However God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.”
2Tim 3:16, 17 16 Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, 17 that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Titus 2:11-13 11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12 instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age; 13 looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
Heb 10:38 But the righteous will live by faith. If he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”
Heb 12:11 All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Jas 5:16 Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
1Pet 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
1Pet 3:14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “Don’t fear what they fear, neither be troubled.”
1Pet 4:18 “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will happen to the ungodly and the sinner?”
2Pet 2:9 the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment
2Pet 2:20, 21 20 For if, after they have escaped the defilement of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in it and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 21 For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.
