Y'all wanted the Pokemon Au y'all getting the Pokemon au, explanations for the Pokemon and more Au info under the cut. Feel free to put questions about the Au in my Ask box
The Au is focused on Pirate captains being Pokemon trainers and their crew their Pokemon, with exceptions like non pirate characters who have Pokemon based on their personalitys.
The world is a mix out of the op world and Pokemon universe, so instead of canon Pokemon regions the regions are based of the op islands, as an example, Luffy is from the Goa Region and travels to other Regions like the Alabasta region or Wano region, in order to beat the strongest trainers in each place he visits in order to become world champion.
Luffys team
Zoro as Chine-Pao: Zoro is often associated with tigers (big cats) and obviously his swords. Luffy also meets him for the first time while he is tied up, wich can parallel how you optain a Chien-Pao wich is locked away
Nami as Liepard: Luffy would meet Nami as a Purloin, wich are known for tricking and stealing from people, her title is also “Cat burgler”
Usopp as Inteleon: Luffy would meet Usopp as a Wobble, since he's such a coward at the start of the series. He would evolve into Drizzile during Water 7 and latter into Inteleon. Inteleon was kind of a no brainer since it's the only sniper Pokemon.
Sanji as Cinderac: Cinderace's Signature move is a Flame kick of sorts. Luffy would meet him as a Raboot, and evolves intomCinderace during Enies Lobby. (British opla sanji…)
Chopper as Sawsbuck: Reindeer, Cheery blossoms.
Robin as Runerigus: Robin is an archaeologists who specifies in finding all of the poneglyphs so her Pokemon being made out off rune tablets makes a lot of sense. Plus the ghost typing can be a hint to her title of “Devil child”
Franky as Blastoise: Franky is basically a weapon himself so making him the literal Tank turtle makes sense to me, also remember the Squirtle with the sunglasses? yeah.
Brook as Houndstone: There aren't a lot of skeleton Pokemon so there was little choice. Houndstones is part of the Ghost gym leaders team, who is a Musician.
Jinbei as Empoleon: Jinbei used to be one of the seven warlords of the sea and is a very honorable person wich works with the personality of Empoleons. He's also shown using a Trident as a weapon.
Kobys team
Milotic: Both of them start of as ugly little loser boys but have one hell of a glow up /affectionate + Milotic would be a great swimming buddy.
Lycanroc: (dog boy koby is so real to me) Dog Pokemon, though more commonly Arcanine, are used as police Pokemon, most likely given to him by Garp.
Gallade: The Fighting type fits Kobys swinging hand approach well and the Psychic type his Observation haki plus being quite the noble Pokemon.
Togekiss: A flying type to reference his Moonwalk ability and generally seeming like a Pokemon would put the effort into raising.
Lucario: dog.. Again, Another Pokemon I feel like Koby would put the effort into raising, fighting type, and the Aura gimmick just matches the vibe as well yk.
Blissey: A healer Pokemon that would assist both hurt trainers and Pokemon, god knows it's good to have one on you when you travel with Luffy.

I love the way you drew little Sabo. So cute. Precious little gremlin child.
But I must ask a bit of angst question.
How did Croc react to Sabo explaining what his bio parents were like? I can see both Croc and Dragon reacting badly to how Sabo was treated in the past.
:D ♥
Sabo would stick to the story that he gave Ace - that he's an orphan who was living alone in the Grey Terminal. Since they're both still young kids Ace instantly buys that story.
Dragon on the other hand has questions. He knows Goa well enough to be able to tell that his clothes and his way of speaking hint towards a noble upbringing. And even if he is orphaned, he wouldn't have been cast out into the Grey Terminal.
And Outlook III and Didit certainly went to the police when their kid went missing. It's likely that he gets his hands on the police report or at least a note in the newspaper. But he might not approach Sabo about it and wait for Crocodile to come home to talk about it.
Because taking in a missing noble child has the potential to be dangerous for them, they don't need police to come sniffing around Windmill Village.
But when Sabo actually tells them why he ran away and why he can't go back, they probably decide it's worth the risk. (Especially Dragon. He's going to be furious at this child being caged like that by this rotten system. Crocodile probably has to grab his hair to stop him from setting a fire in the upper class district or something other impulsive and unwise of the sort *lol* )
It's a bit tricky. Also because how I'm wrangling the timeline, Sabo is quite a bit too young to really be able to verbalize the emotional neglect and the isolation and how much his parents consider him a tool to be wielded for their ambitions of social advancement. But I think Dragon would understand it for what it is.
It would be easier if neither Crocodile nor Dragon bothered to do any research on the kid but I don't want to make them careless for convenience's sake X3
And we can still pack more angst into it when the burning of the Grey Terminal and he visit of the Celestial Dragon happens 5 years later.

An American woman has been found chained to a tree in an Indian forest where she had been for 40 days, triggering a manhunt for her former husband.
Lalita Kayi Kumar, 49, was found by a shepherd in a forest near Sonurli village, Goa, after he heard her crying for several days.
Unable to speak following her rescue, she wrote a note that alleged her ex-husband had left her to die and that she had been without food for 40 days.
She also claimed she was administered an “injection for extreme psychosis which caused severe jaws locked and inability to drink any water. Need intravenous food later ... husband tied me to a tree in a forest”.
Ms Kumar was found with her legs tied to the tree but her hands unbound. A police officer said she was too weak to unchain herself. There were also reportedly marks from numerous other injuries on her body. She was wearing a see-through raincoat, an olive green shirt and worn-out brown trousers when she was found.
Police have registered a case of attempted murder against her former husband, who is accused of chaining her up before he escaped. Relatives of the couple are being interviewed by police.
Ms Kumar was transferred to Goa Medical College for specialist treatment after doctors raised concerns about her mental health.
A hospital official said: “She is out of danger, but she is suffering from severe depression and other mental health illnesses. We have found medical prescriptions in her possession suggesting she was on antidepressants.”
Documents found on Ms Kumar show that she was a resident of Tamil Nadu, a south Indian state, about 600 miles away from the forest where she was found. It is thought that she had been living in India for the past decade.

Several Dead, Hundreds Injured in Pro-Independence Rallies in New Caledonia
Pro-independence protesters say France's new constitutional reform will dilute the share of the vote held by Kanaks, the Indigenous group that makes up about 41 percent of the population.

At least three people have been killed and hundreds more were injured during a second night of protesting in New Caledonia, authorities said.
Wednesday was the third day of demonstrations against a constitutional reform pushed by Paris that has roiled the archipelago, which has long sought independence.
Despite heavily armed security forces fanning out across the capital Noumea and the ordering of a nighttime curfew, protesting continued until overnight Tuesday virtually unabated.
The reform — which must still be approved by a joint sitting of both houses of the French parliament — would give a vote to people who have lived in New Caledonia for 10 years.
Pro-independence forces say it would dilute the share of the vote held by Kanaks, the Indigenous group that makes up about 41 percent of the population and the major force in the pro-independence movement.
In Noumea and the commune of Paita on Wednesday, there were reports of several exchanges of fire between civil defence groups and protesters.
Security forces regained control of Noumea's penitentiary, which holds about 50 inmates, after an uprising and escape attempt by prisoners, it said in a statement.
Police have arrested more than 130 people since Monday night, with dozens placed in detention to face court hearings, the commission said. About 60 police have been injured, it said.
A nighttime curfew was extended, along with bans on gatherings, the carrying of weapons and the sale of alcohol.
The territory's La Tontouta International Airport remained closed to commercial flights and people were urged to restrict any travel during the day, the high commission said.
Pacific Rivalry
Macron said French lawmakers would vote to definitively adopt the constitutional change by the end of June unless New Caledonia's opposing sides agree on a new text that "takes into account the progress made and everyone's aspirations".
In the Noumea Accord of 1998, France vowed to gradually give more political power to the Pacific island territory of nearly 300,000 people.
As part of the agreement, New Caledonia has held three referendums over its ties with France, all rejecting independence.
As part of the agreement, New Caledonia has held three referendums over its ties with France, all rejecting independence. But the independence movement retains support, particularly among the Indigenous Kanak people.
A New Caledonia pro-independence leader, Daniel Goa, asked people to "go home", and condemned the looting.
But "the unrest of the last 24 hours reveals the determination of our young people to no longer let France take control of them," he added.

Thousands of doctors across major cities in India, including the capital, New Delhi, on Tuesday, joined in on protests sparked by the alleged rape and murder of a trainee last week.
A 31-year-old female medical trainee was found dead at one of the largest government hospitals in the eastern city of Kolkata on Friday. Her body sustained multiple injuries and an autopsy report described evidence of sexual violence.
After the incident, doctors walked off their jobs at government hospitals, demanding better security and safety measures for health workers. The chief of the institution involved, RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, resigned on Monday.
Protests flare as doctors demand better safety
Protests picked up across government-run facilities in the eastern state of West Bengal, home to Kolkata, on Monday — with doctors saying they would suspend emergency services as well until at least Tuesday.
"As resident doctors, we are on the frontline and deal with lots of patients, which makes us quite vulnerable to these attacks," Doctor Rajat Sharma, vice president of India's Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA), told DW.
"It's a scary situation which we see working on a daily basis. Doctors in West Bengal are protesting for their rights. We want to have better security for our resident doctors."
Around 75% of doctors in India have faced some form of violence, according to a survey by the Indian Medical Association.
Sharma's FORDA colleague Sarvesh Pandey told Indian media that doctors' demands included a specialized law protecting healthcare workers from violence on the job.
"There should be stringent security measures in hospitals and CCTV cameras should be installed," he said.
Students at universities in Kolkata also joined in on protests, demanding better safety measures for women in particular.
Sexual violence against women is a big problem in India.
The National Crimes Records Bureau reported that in 2021, an average of 86 rape cases were registered every day and 49 cases of crime against women lodged every single hour.
Protests spread to major cities, some services hampered
The incident has struck a nerve in the medical community who have repeatedly said they face threats from angry family members, especially in the case of bad news involving medical issues.
In the western Maharashtra state, home to financial capital Mumbai, around 8,000 doctors at government hospitals walked off their jobs on Tuesday.
In New Delhi, junior doctors wearing white coats held banners that read "Doctors are not punching bags" as they sat outside a big government hospital to demand an investigation into the incident.
Protests hampered medical services in the city of Lucknow in the most populous state of Uttar Pradesh, as well as in the popular tourist state of Goa.
How have Indian authorities responded?
The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday ordered the case to be transferred over to a federal agency, meaning that Kolkata police will have to submit all case documents to the agency.
Kolkata police initially set up a special investigative team and arrested a man in connection with the case.
City police chief Vineet Kumar Goyal told reporters a case had been registered against the suspect under provisions of the law relating to rape and murder.
The National Human Rights Commission on Tuesday sent notices to the director general of police and the chief secretary of West Bengal state, asking for a detailed report within two weeks.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met the family of the victim on Monday, telling reporters later that police were "giving utmost importance to the investigation."

The Suchana Seth Case: Unraveling the Enigma of a Mother's Devastating Act
In the wake of the shocking revelation involving Suchana Seth, CEO of a Bengaluru-based start-up, allegedly murdering her four-year-old son, the nation finds itself grappling with a perplexing and tragic tale. As the details of this heart-wrenching incident continue to emerge, numerous questions remain unanswered, further shrouding the case in mystery.
1. Motive behind the Murder: The first and perhaps most haunting question revolves around the motive that propelled Suchana Seth to commit such a heinous act against her own child. Initial police questioning has painted a contradictory picture — Seth, known to love her son deeply, supposedly became possessive after his birth. The estranged husband’s role in the tragedy is cited as a potential motive, with Seth allegedly aiming to prevent him from meeting their son. However, the question lingers: Why would a mother resort to such an extreme step, leading to the tragic demise of her own flesh and blood? Despite her claims of not intending to kill, the motive remains a perplexing enigma.
2. Sudden Trip to Goa: The circumstances surrounding Seth’s impromptu trip to Goa add another layer of complexity to the case. As a Bengaluru-based individual, the choice to travel to Goa, allegedly for the sole purpose of committing the crime, raises numerous questions. With a Bengaluru family court allowing the father to meet the child every Sunday, the motive behind choosing Goa remains unclear. Reports suggest that Seth may have orchestrated this trip to delay the father-son meeting, but the reasons behind this strategy remain elusive.
3. Bloodstains and Cough Syrup Bottles: The crime scene itself presents a myriad of unanswered questions. The discovery of bloodstains in the Goa service apartment, coupled with empty cough syrup bottles, adds a chilling dimension to the tragedy. The post-mortem report indicates that the child was smothered, possibly with a cloth or pillow. The presence of cough syrup bottles raises questions about whether medication was administered to the child before the fatal act. Furthermore, Seth’s attempt to end her own life by slitting her wrist introduces additional complexities, as the origin of the bloodstains in the room is yet to be officially confirmed.
As the Suchana Seth case continues to unfold, each revelation raises more questions than answers. The nation awaits a thorough investigation and a deeper understanding of the factors that led to this heartbreaking incident. The enigma surrounding the motive, the choice of location, and the disturbing details of the crime challenge our comprehension of a mother’s unthinkable act against her own child. In seeking justice for the innocent life lost, the pursuit of truth becomes all the more urgent.

A 50-year-old American woman was found chained to a tree and left to die in a forest in India, police said.
The woman, identified as Lalita Kayi Kumar, was rescued after a shepherd heard her cries on Saturday evening in Sonurli village, located about 450km from India’s financial capital of Mumbai in the south-western state of Maharashtra.
Police registered a case of attempted murder against Ms Kumar’s former husband based on a note scribbled by her at the hospital.
The authorities ascertained her identity and residential address from photocopies of a US passport and a national identity card recovered from her.
”Based on the note written by the woman at the hospital, a case has been registered against her former husband on charges of attempted murder, act endangering life or personal safety of others and wrongful confinement under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS),” Saurabh Agrawal, superintendent of police of Sindhudurg district, said. BNS is India’s official criminal code.
She was transferred to a hospital in the neighbouring state of Goa, Mr Agrawal told the wire agency Press Trust of India. She is “weak” and “not in a position to give her statement”, he said.
Officials do not yet know how long she was left tied to the tree. “The area where she was found had experienced heavy rain,” Mr Agrawal said.
“We have found that the woman, who appears to have been born in the US, had also resided in Goa for some time. We are trying to find out whom she was in touch with in the past few months,” he added.
Police say she appears not to have eaten for several days. The husband, whose name was not disclosed by officials, allegedly hails from Tamil Nadu. Forest inspector Vikas Padve told The Hindu newspaper that while doctors told the authorities she was doing “fine”, Ms Kumar was “suffering from psychiatric issues.
“She is unable to speak and remains under observation,” Mr Padve said.
“She reportedly left her husband after a quarrel,” a police official was quoted as saying by the outlet.
The victim was believed to be living in India for the past ten years, reported the Hindustan Times, quoting officials from the local police station. The authorities have sent a team of investigators to Tamil Nadu and Goa to trace her relatives.
