Symbolism and Hidden Secrets that we learn through the The Gospel of Mary Magdalene
Every character in scripture is symbolic. There may be a relationship to a historical person, the main purpose is to teach us about ourselves. Therefore, each character represents what is within us.
It is said that he (Jesus- The Divine Within) had 12 apostles. Those 12 apostles are inside us here & now. Astrology expresses those energies through the zodiac. We have all the 12 houses in our natal chart.
“Will matter then be destroyed or not? The Savior said, All nature, all formations, all creatures exist in and with one another, and they will be resolved again into their own roots.” *As within so is without*
Space is filled with universes. Thus, while some solar systems of worlds are coming out of their profound night, others are arriving to their dusk (zero state).
All of these (contemporary) tragedies, all of these catastrophes, all of these prophecies (of the end of times), all of these cataclysms have a very solid foundation. This solid foundation is a return of life towards the Absolute…" – Samael Aun Weor
“That is why the Good (Law, Dharma, Elohim, came (up) into your midst (that is, into the midst of your spinal medulla as Kundalini) to the essence of every nature in order restore its root, (to make sure what is owed is paid; the Law must be fulfilled).”
(Why yogis and spiritualist turn to celibacy) Then He continued and said, “That is why you become sick (psychologically) and die (spiritually), for you are deprived (due to animal behaviors) of the Divine (Mother Kundalini) who can heal you.
“He who has a (solar) mind to understand (intuitively), let him understand.”
“He who has ears to hear (in meditation), let him hear (the Voice of the Silence, the Being).”
Namaste...

It is important to understand that real knowledge is of the heart. Real wisdom is what we live. Real knowledge comes from experience, and more importantly, that experience of higher realities comes when we investigate our own heart, our own mind, our ways of living, and to look, not to assume that we know, “I am of this race, this culture, this religion, this belief system, these politics, this upbringing.” It means to really look at what is inside in terms of our emotions, our impulses, our will.
This active looking is precisely what every tradition teaches about meditation: to look, to observe, to acquire new information―not to assume that we already know who we are, but to be open and to watch in a state of stillness, of observation, of clarity. It is that inner discrimination of ourselves that really helps us to distinguish right from wrong. It is our heart, our conscience, that tells us what is right and what is wrong. We may have traditions that tell us these things, but what do we know in our being about what to do? ― especially when we are faced with situations that are so complex that we are baffled. We are confused. We are overwhelmed, like you heard in Carmina Burana. When fate hits, the hammer of karma, of hardship, strikes, and we find all of those things that we typically ignore come to the surface of our mind, things we may neglect or fail to look at.

The Path of Purification and Healing the False Self
In esoteric Christianity, the spiritual journey is traditionally divided into three stages, known as the Threefold Path: Purification, Illumination, and Union. These stages map the soul's ascent from the ego-driven state of separation to its ultimate reunion with God. The threefold path reflects not only the individual’s inner spiritual process but also echoes the stages of the mystical ascent described in many Christian writings, from early church mystics to the Desert Fathers.
Let’s begin by fully exploring Purification, the first stage in this journey.
Purification: The Beginning of the Threefold Path
The Threefold Path provides a systematic blueprint for the transformation of the soul, and the process starts with Purification. In this stage, the seeker embarks on a path of cleansing both internally and externally, purging the soul of attachments, illusions, and distortions created by the ego. The aim is to prepare the soul to receive divine illumination, which can only occur when the inner being has been sufficiently cleared of the barriers that obscure spiritual truth.
At the heart of purification is the dissolution of the false self, or ego. The ego is the part of us that is driven by pride, fear, and desire for control. It identifies with the body, with material possessions, with societal roles, and with the world of forms. The ego is, in essence, the accumulation of conditioned responses to the world, built upon experiences and traumas that reinforce the illusion of separateness from God.
In esoteric Christianity, sin is understood not merely as moral failure, but as the condition of living in separation from God, which is perpetuated by the ego. The purification stage, therefore, involves confronting the ways in which the ego has created false attachments, desires, and fears, and how these patterns keep the soul trapped in duality and suffering.
Purification requires a deep commitment to spiritual discipline and self-awareness. It often involves painful encounters with the shadow aspects of the self—those parts of the ego that have been repressed, denied, or hidden from conscious awareness. However, this process of self-confrontation is essential, as it leads to the dissolution of the ego’s control and opens the way for divine light to begin illuminating the soul.
Spiritual Practices for Purification
One of the most powerful tools in the purification process is the practice of self-examination. In this practice, the seeker regularly reflects on their thoughts, words, and actions, seeking to understand where the ego has been in control and where alignment with divine will has been lost. This leads to a deepening awareness of one’s inner state and the recognition of those aspects of the self that need purification.
Confession, whether in the context of a sacrament or as a private practice before God, serves as an act of humility and release. By naming the aspects of the ego that have been uncovered through self-examination, the seeker begins the process of letting go of the false self and its attachments.
Prayer is central to the purification process, particularly forms of prayer that focus on inner stillness and receptivity to divine grace. As mentioned earlier, contemplative prayer, such as the Jesus Prayer ("Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me"), is a method used in the esoteric tradition to quiet the mind and focus the heart on God’s presence. Through repeated, focused prayer, the ego's hold is gradually loosened, and the soul begins to experience a deeper connection with the divine.
Fasting, both from food and from other attachments, is another essential practice in purification. By fasting, the soul learns to let go of its dependence on the physical world, training the body and mind to surrender cravings and desires to God. Fasting also has a symbolic dimension: it mirrors the soul’s hunger for God and teaches the seeker that true nourishment comes only from the divine.
In the esoteric Christian tradition, the heart is seen as the center of spiritual perception. However, the heart is often clouded by the impurities of the ego—anger, envy, pride, and fear. Purification of the heart is therefore a crucial step in this process, as it allows the soul to perceive spiritual truths more clearly.
The purification of the heart is a gradual process, often aided by practices of forgiveness and compassion. By learning to forgive others and to release judgments, the seeker begins to free the heart from the ego's need for control and superiority. Compassion, especially toward those who have wronged us, dissolves the barriers created by the ego’s desire for separation and division.
The Role of Grace in Purification
While purification involves active participation from the seeker, it is ultimately a process guided by divine grace. The soul, on its own, cannot achieve purification through mere willpower or effort. It is only through God’s grace that the ego can be dissolved, and the soul can be restored to its original purity.
Grace is often described as an unearned gift from God, a divine force that works within us to transform and heal the soul. In the purification process, grace acts as both a healing balm and a purifying fire. It burns away the impurities of the ego while simultaneously restoring the soul’s capacity for love, compassion, and divine awareness.
The seeker’s role is to remain open to grace, to be willing to surrender the ego’s resistance to transformation, and to trust in God’s ability to heal and purify. This requires a deep act of faith—a recognition that true purification can only occur when we allow ourselves to be guided by a power greater than the ego.
The Fruits of Purification
The path of purification, while often challenging and painful, ultimately leads to profound spiritual growth. As the ego is gradually dissolved, the soul begins to experience greater freedom, clarity, and peace. The attachments, fears, and illusions that once defined the false self are replaced by a deeper awareness of God’s presence within and around us.
One of the key fruits of purification is inner peace. As the ego’s grip loosens, the constant striving, anxiety, and fear that characterize the false self begin to dissipate. In their place, the soul experiences a deep sense of stillness and trust in God’s providence.
Another fruit of purification is greater compassion. As the seeker releases the ego’s need for superiority and control, they become more open to others, seeing them not as competitors or threats, but as fellow souls on the same journey toward divine union. Compassion flows naturally from a heart that has been purified of ego-driven judgments and desires.
Finally, purification leads to a greater capacity for divine illumination, which we will explore more deeply in the next lesson. As the soul is cleansed of egoic attachments, it becomes more receptive to the light of God’s truth, allowing divine wisdom to flow more freely into consciousness.
Purification is the essential first step on the spiritual path in esoteric Christianity. It involves the deep cleansing of the soul from the illusions, attachments, and wounds created by the false self. Through practices of self-examination, prayer, fasting, and purification of the heart, the soul becomes more receptive to divine grace and begins to experience the fruits of inner peace, compassion, and clarity.
However, purification is not the end of the journey. It is merely the gateway to the deeper stages of spiritual transformation. In the next lesson, we will explore Illumination—the second stage of the threefold path—and examine how the purified soul becomes a vessel for divine light and wisdom.

Comes to You
Have you ever noticed that the world comes to you? In fact, the entire universe comes to you! It all comes to you, and the question becomes: what is your answer?
"Comes to you" comes from all your sensory processes. You do not have to do anything. You don't have to lift a finger! It is a gift from the universe. The chemical-electrical signals of the universe enters inside of you. Then, what do you do with this gift?
You are in an enclosed bubble and the entire universe is outside. The universe enters inside your bubble, one input at a time. The amount the universe enters inside your bubble depends on your reaction. What do you do with all of this?
Your reaction is your answer. You push back. You take the very, small piece of the universe and you bounce it back to where it came from. A small piece of the universe stays with you and the rest bounces back. What stays with you, changes you.
The universe enters and the universe leaves. How much the universe leaves behind depends on you. That is how simple this is! This is what the universe left behind: The universe gave you life. Gave you consciousness. Gave you existence. And now, what do you do?

“In this tradition we have explained that a real human is someone who created the soul. Someone who is not an animal. There are very few of them on this planet. True human beings are those who trapped in the middle between the upper and lower worlds, and who are working to liberate themselves from all of it. Most “human beings” on this planet know nothing about liberation. Really, all of us are animals. Really, when we look at our lives, we can see that we are animals controlled by forces that we cannot change: cultural, political, economic, forces that push us from one place to another. We have to work constantly, and we are enslaved by the beings that have power. We have no freedom. Instead, everything we do is to help them get more money and more power. They drive us to work more and more, yet in the end we gain nothing. What we generally eat is poisonous and bad for us. We cannot get pure food on this planet anymore. We cannot get clean water or air on this planet anymore. Everything is polluted because of the wars between the gods and demigods. Worse, we are sent to fight in those wars, dying for ideas and concepts that hide the truth: wars are about money and power, neither of which are ever given to the animals. We are the animals. We are ruled by our instincts.
[...] We are all at the animal level. I apologize, I do not mean that as an insult, but really, if you analyze our minds, and the way people behave on this planet now, we behave like animals. We do not behave like human beings. Human beings are gentle, kind, and someone who remembers god and acts to benefit everyone. Animals only want to survive. Animals are ruled by instinct, lust, anger, and envy. This human populace is not human not yet.”

A New Start
Title: "Eve" by me, 2023 / Re-use with credit to my username
I'm really excited to start sharing a passion that is hopefully going to start being a "side hustle" for me. I am applying for a dream job, and I want to not only have a collection of posts that reflect who I am and my love for social justice (I'll wear that SJW badge with honor) but I also want it to reflect my spiritual views.
I don't think I've really explained this, but I am a very active Unitarian Universalist and the job I hope to get is through the Unitarian Universalist Association of America. It's going to be competitive, but I don't want to give up on finding work through my faith. As such, I will be curating old posts to mostly be about our mission for spiritual faith through social justice and deleting old posts that don't reflect those values.
(For more information about the UUA, here's their website. It's a great resource for anyone interested in secular religious studies: link)
I also have an interest in Earth-centered religions, which are one of our Sacred Six Sources. While I have secular views about gods, I have been able to meditate transcendentally and see beyond the cynicism of the modern world to communicate with these divine archetypes. I know that Mother Earth wants us to see her as a person, and despite her life-giving power, she needs our help to keep the web of life alive for all of us.
It's time I start sharing pages of my grimoire (spell book), which is nearing completion after nearly 4 years of customizing spells and learning from different sources. It's also time to share my spell prompts and writing that I've been doing over the past year. Finally, I plan to publish a list of youtube channels, podcasts, and web resources for people interested in learning more and obtaining personal gnosis.
As a final aside, I have been really into learning about angelology and Semitic Neoaganism lately (wikipedia article). Asherah, the Shekinah, and the Sophia are all goddess figures of the Abrahamic faiths that I never knew growing up, and frankly I feel robbed never knowing them. I will definitely be posting more about them, but my above illustration of the enlightened mother Eve is very related to my personal gnosis.
Blessed be.

Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are based upon belief in resurrection, yet its spiritual reality is not realized nor understood by the uninitiated. Only those practitioners of the direct path, the revolution of the consciousness, can hope to achieve the heights of resurrection: the culmination of profound psychological works and the complete annihilation of the animal ego. When the "I" is eliminated, the Being resurrects within the purified soul, which rises from the grave of Klipoth to enter the heavenly realms.
This card synthesizes the victories and struggles of the previous arcana, which liberate the soul through mystical experiences and payment of one's karma. When the self dies, the consciousness escapes and resurrects within the higher regions of nature. Learn how through a profound study of mummification, astral and jinn experiences, the famous Day of Judgment within the Qur'an and the Egyptian Book of the Dead, the fall of Count Zanoni during the French Revolution, the three types of resurrection within the writings of Samael Aun Weor, the mysteries of Osiris within Freemasonry, and the Kabbalistic mysticism of the Hebrew letter ר Resh.

"Then Peter said to Mary, "Sister, we know that you are greatly loved by the Saviour, more than any other woman. Tell us those words of His that you remember, the things which you know and we don't, the teachings we never heard."
Mary answered, saying: "What is hidden from you I shall reveal to you. Whatever is unknown to you, and I remember, I will tell you."
And she began saying these words to them.
She said, "Once I saw the Lord in a vision and I said to him:
'Lord, Rabouni, now I see you in this vision.
He answered me and said: 'Blessed are you Mary, for you do not waver at the sight of me. How wonderful you are! For this is where the treasure lies - in the nous, that place where heaven and earth meet, where deep understanding arises in the heart and mind."
I asked him this: 'Now tell me Lord, how does a person see such a vision, is it through their soul or through the Spirit?
asked him this: 'Now tell me Lord, how does a person see such a vision, is it through their soul or through the Spirit?
The Saviour answered: 'It is neither through the soul nor through the Spirit, but through the nous, the understanding which arises between the two, that is how the vision is seen."

The Soul's Divine Origins and Fall into Duality
According to esoteric Christian thought, the human soul has its origins in the divine realm, having been created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:27). This means that, at its core, the soul is a direct emanation of the divine essence. However, the soul, through its fall into the material world, has forgotten its divine origins and become ensnared in the illusion of separation and duality.
The Soul as a Divine Spark
In esoteric Christianity, the soul is seen as containing within it a divine spark, sometimes referred to as the imago Dei (the image of God). This spark is the innermost essence of the soul, the point at which the soul is directly connected to God. It is the uncreated, eternal aspect of our being, untouched by sin, death, or the limitations of the material world.
However, while the divine spark remains pure, the outer layers of the soul become clouded by ignorance and attachment to the ego. The journey of spiritual awakening is the process of removing these layers of illusion so that the divine light within can shine forth fully.
The Fall into Duality and Separation
The "fall" of the soul is a metaphysical concept that refers to the soul’s descent into the realm of duality. In this state, the soul becomes identified with the ego—the false self that sees itself as separate from God and others. The ego is rooted in fear, desire, and a sense of lack, always seeking fulfillment in external things rather than in the divine presence within.
In the esoteric Christian tradition, this fall is not viewed as a punishment but as a necessary stage in the soul's evolution. The descent into the material world and the experience of duality allow the soul to learn, grow, and ultimately return to God with a deeper understanding of divine love and unity.
The Path of Return
The central task of the spiritual seeker in esoteric Christianity is to return to the original state of unity with God. This path of return is often called the "mystical ascent" or "spiritual journey." Through practices such as prayer, meditation, contemplation, and inner purification, the soul begins to awaken from its slumber in the material world and ascend through the layers of reality, back to its source in the divine.
This journey is symbolized in many Christian mystical texts by the image of the ladder, the ascent of the mountain, or the journey through the wilderness. It is a gradual process of transformation, where the soul moves from a state of ignorance and separation to one of divine union and illumination.
As we continue this exploration, we will build on these foundational principles, examining how the seeker can move through the stages of purification, illumination, and ultimately, divine union.
