Can you tell i like my spreads as noisy as i like my music?
A (little past) quarterly update with my Hobonichi weeks!
4.15.24
It took a little of bit time, but i think i've finally familiarized myself and made a home out of this notebook. It's the only writing vessel i actively attend to currently, so it's quite gratifying that this wallet size (a kinda massive wallet, ok) book is able to answer me both in function and form.
I had been worried that i was growing somewhat bored (and at times frustrated) with the Week's shape, but after everything we have been through, it's hard to imagine a canvas more fitting for the types and frequency of entries i collect.
Pictured here are some Machine Girl fangirling hysteria, an article on "Poor Things" (extending to several more pages that deserve their own spotlight i think), and a couple of personal journal entries where i braindump. I also started collecting my notes from Art History class in here as well, and I'm thrilled that the content does feel like home within these pages. (very much inspired by @blvddays on instagram for her use with transparent paper here [figure 6], mine are Office Depot sticky notes).
Massive adoration goes out to @petite-gloom's stickers. I love my loud and colorful spreads, but they plainly would be inferior without the minimal twinkle from Megan's art. I have the most fun looking through her sticker sheets, and figuring out how to add the final accessory to my spreads.
I don't know! Life beyond has been hectic and uncomfortable lately, but there's a sense of harmony i find here that is making my heart sparks a little bit as I'm looking at these pages. I hope to nourish and fertilize this little collection of thoughts and ideas faaar and further into the year.
This has been the lengthiest that Tumblr has ever seen me. I require a new badge, immediately.

Something was up with the settings on my printer and I wound up with some big Gloomies stickers. Despite the giant size, this one still managed to find a home in my commonplace book.
Gloomies stickers are by @petite-gloom .

A brief dip into Filofax Holborn. This blue has to be my favourite Holborn shade.
Edited to add: can we just take a moment to appreciate how flat this Filofax lies.

Got to print out one of @petite-gloom ‘s cute little gloomies to celebrate her 50k! I’ve been adoring her content and it’s helped me really find a commonplace/journaling system that works for me 🥺 It’s still ever evolving, but I’m so grateful for her inspiration as a fellow neurodivergent human.

[11-22-2023] Transcription_ I keep thinking about pants styles and what I want to look for in my wardrobe. Skinny jeans go with a lot, but can be too tight to wear all day. Most of my skinny jeans are very high waisted, which is uncomfortable to wear while sitting most of the day. I have a lot of shoes that look nice with them as well. Since I’ve been looking into more punk clothing, I want to revise my wardrobe a bit for stylish comfort. I love the idea of Frankensteining my pants and adding patches to make them tailored exactly how I want. I bought a pair of flared jeans, but that style doesn’t feel exactly right, either. I like this look of straight leg, rolled cuff, and harem pants. Something not too wide so I can tuck the cuffs into my boots. They need to be practical, but I love how expressive and custom patch pants are. I like the neutral, muted color palette of black, white, gray, and brown. Patch pants would help me to work with what’s in my closet and repair over the years to reduce waste. I like the casual slouchiness of the harem pants and could see making a pair for casual hangouts. My stretchy jersey pants are losing shape and seem to fall apart at the seams when I wash them. My calves are becoming intolerant to tight fabric, especially around my period. I’ve been wanting to incorporate more hand-dyed elements and patches of cotton for textural interest. I could make a wrap skirt with scraps as well, which would be great for changing sizes and bloat. I want to be more in tune with my wardrobe. (another digitized spread of one of my old journals, sticker and Gloomy are by @petite-gloom)

A look inside the front cover of my Hobonichi Weeks. I have my word of the year, a place to put whatever Gloomies card is speaking to me in the moment, and my DopaMenu. The DopaMenu is a list of activities that increase dopamine in the brain, divided up into a menu that makes activity selection easier during times I have trouble with decision-making.
Note: Gloomies cards are by @petite-gloom .
DopaMenu concept is by YouTube channel, HowToADHD.

sun: your sun sign is wonwoo! you like your alone time, but can be drawn out of your shell when you are comfortable enough. you may worry about how others perceive you or not living up to expectations. you are very observant, and pay attention to others’ emotions.
moon: your moon sign is seungcheol! you may internalize a lot of your concerns or worries because you keep up a strong front. you can get overwhelmed from pressure sometimes. you care so much, and devote everything to the people you love.
rising: your rising sign is vernon! on the outside, you may be considered ‘weird’ or ‘quirky.’ you don’t mind showing your outlandish side, because you’re authentic and refuse to conform to society. you don’t take life too seriously, and live how you want to.
tagging: @wonustars @smileycarat @coupsie-daisies @seungkw1 @cheolism & anyone else that wants too!! (as usual feel free to ignore if you've already done this)
