watching my dash and half my friends suddenly get into parkour civilization and i am honestly not sure if it would be better to actually watch it or to instead keep on hearing fun facts like "you have to do the vertical jump for raw beef" or "parkour jail for 50 years" or "chosen by parkour god" or "bribing officials using diagonal parkour jumps" or "it was written in parkour" or "the economy runs on parkour" or "this is all also an edgy dystopia" or "they make the farm animals do parkour". like what could i possibly get out of watching it that my confused delight that all of these things are apparently canon would not provide me,

i've said this before but it's an endless source of amusement to me how hypocritical and petty the interpersonal drama between the tma avatars is... our noble patrons of the dread powers vs. their sicko cultists. that being said there is definitely something uniquely fucked in the head about the ones that kept larping as regular guys at their day jobs instead of quitting all that to psychologically torture people with magic tricks.

When trying to teach your friends cool new tricks accidentally turns into a business deal.

A small crack idea, but if lv 12 Mizora can be a patron, so can Greygold. Even adventure-accomplished Emps is flabbergasted at the 'how'. It's cool, nothing like a quick side-quest to fix that technical difficulty.

Anyway, I need Mizora to get fired from her job. I need Zariel to fire her lawyer. Figuratively. Literally. Both. Hunting her down is all good and reasonable but. so. around the start of august, I decided to make a story to work on when I wanted to just kind of turn my brain off for a minute. you know, everything is so much all the time, let's lower the stakes and draw some ancient greeks wrestling.

unfortunately for ME, I thought: well what if we explored the peloponnesian war through the sword and sandals genre and throw in a splash of horror for seasoning! then I thought: well it wouldn't be fun for me if I didn't do some reading on the history of it all. what I do I know about ancient greece. I have a fistful of pocket lint and loose change in that department.

folks. there is so much reading. my reading list is only a handful of books, but each of those books is a fucking brick.

anyway, it's still primarily a For Fun story I do in my spare time, so some wrestling sketches, and some other kind of scene :)
