Hi. Possibly insane question. In your hobonichi journal do you use fountain pens or dip pens with inks. If so: what inks/pens. I'm a pen freak and I love the way your doodles look

not insane at all! i use mostly fountain pens (fellow pen freak). if you're referring to those on cinema drawings or anything else drawn with thick lines in blue ink that's most likely a lamy safari with a broad nib and proprietary lamy cartridges. i really like them, they're affordable durable pens and the ink colors for their carts are gorgeous

a lot of my recent journal is with a hand ground stub nib an artist i know made as a test out of a five below pen body. its my absolute favorite pen ever tho sadly i cant really direct you anywhere to get one. i use very cheap pelikan carts for it which are fine. im lazy so i like carts

Yay! I'm glad to hear that! I love them too but never have any real ideas for them so I hardly draw them.

I still don't have many ideas, but I'm just gonna draw them to draw them without having a theme or something. Just the character and a shape background or something simple like that (but that will be tomorrow after work as I have to get up early).

The manga industry, especially JUMP, needs to hurry up and do away with weekly scheduling for mangaka. There needs to better regulations put into place for their health and safety because this is pitiful. Two weeks - monthly updates should’ve already been the standard for the manga industry at this point. These money grabbers will only continue to put the lives of these artists at stake for the sake of capitalism unless some serious changes are implemented.

I’m glad with the art and for the amount of pages I made in such a relatively short time span -w- page 5 was super fun to work on. I like your designs of the Goolings! And I have two things to say. 1, I always imagined that each of the members represented the four elements. And 2, What are each member's pronouns?

1]. I actually have something similar! I've seen people do the whole each member is one of the 4 elements, but I wanted to put my own spin on it. So Elivy and Joust are plants and water respectively, but Quida is actually made of metal! She has to wear special gloves because her hands/fingers are pretty sharp.

(No air member unfortunately. Well, Elivy is probably related to air because I have him be able to levitate a bit, or at least that was my initial plan with him, don't know if I will still have him with that power.)

2]. Kul Fyra is She/Her, Quida is She/Her, Joust is He/Him, and Elivy was He/Him for most of their youth but now goes by He/They.
