Just One More
Theodore Nott x F!Reader
Warnings: mention of masturbation, oral(female receiving), squirting, overstimulation, forced orgasms, unprotected sex, creampie
18+ Minors DNI
You and Theodore had gotten assigned for a project together for potions and were working on it in his dorm. You had called it for the day, exhausted and ready to rest after the long school day and hours working on this project with Theo.
You weren’t extremely close with the boy, but that didn’t stop his attempts to flirt with you and joke around with you whenever he did see you. And you had to admit, you may have developed a small crush on him. He was hot and flirted with you, what else could you say?
You said ‘goodbye’ and left his dorm, heading to your own. You noticed once you got there that you had left your textbook in his dorm and figured you’d just grab it real quick.
But as you were about to knock on his door, you could hear faint noises inside. After a second of listening, you realized the noises were moans. Did he have a girl over? It was just his moans you could hear so probably not.
“Oh, (Y/N), cara mia. Fuck.” You heard coming from the other side of the door.
‘(Y/N)’ Was he really moaning your name? Holy shit.
Before you even realized it, you were knocking on the door. You could hear a quiet cuss escape his lips and some shuffling with a louder ‘Hold on’ coming from him. After a moment, the door opened, and Theo leaned against the door frame before his eyes widened when he saw it was you, quickly turning his expression into a calm one with a flirty smirk.
“Cara mia. What are you doing here? Didn’t get enough of me?” He asked as he looked you over.
“Uh, I forgot my textbook. Though, it seems like you were the one who didn’t get enough of me.” You said, giving him a sweet, innocent smile.
His smirk fell. “What are you talking about?” He shifted slightly, clearly nervous now.
“I kinda heard you. You moaned my name. I was only gone for a few minutes, it seems like you barely waited after I left to, uh, you know.” You said, tilting your head.
“How long were you outside my door, bella?” He asked.
“Long enough.” You shrugged.
He looked at you for a few seconds, like he was pondering his next move before pulling you into the room and closing the door behind you.
“Seems to me like you were enjoying listening in.” He said as he backed you up to the bed.
“Well, it was more like I was surprised, especially once I heard my name.” Your legs hit the bed and you fell on it.
“So you didn’t like it?” He leaned down, putting his arms on either side of you to trap you on the bed.
“I didn’t say that.”
“If you wanted, I could show you more of those sounds now.” He lowered his head to your ear as he spoke quietly. “I could show you what I was thinking about doing to you that was making me moan like that.”
“Very tempting.” You said back just as quietly as him. “How should we start?”
“How about we start by getting these clothes off?” He said as he leaned back and helped you out of your clothes, a bit quickly and desperately. “Fucking hell, principessa. You’re fucking gorgeous.” He said before leaning back down to pepper kisses along your neck, trailing up before connecting your lips. The kiss was heated and hasty, like he couldn’t get enough. He nestled between your legs, his hands roaming along your skin, feeling everywhere. One hand traveled lower until he made it to your folds, groaning into the kiss when he felt how wet you were. He teased your entrance, enjoying the whine from your throat as he started pushing two fingers in you, swallowing your moans once he started thrusting them in and out of you.
He parted from your lips and went back to your neck, kissing and licking his way down to your chest before giving your nipples some attention. Your moans were loud now that you weren’t being muffled by his lips, your back arching into his mouth as he licked and sucked at one of your nipples before giving the other the same attention.
“Fuck, Theo!” You moaned. Your hands were gripping at the sheets, the neat fabric getting wrinkled in your grasp.
Theo moaned against your nipple in response, flicking his eyes up to your face to watch your reaction. He used his thumb to find your clit, rubbing circles on it as your eyes rolled back from the pleasure. It didn’t take much before your orgasm washed over you, making you cry out his name and have your body trembling.
He moved his body to bring his mouth onto your clit, his fingers never stopping inside you. The pleasure was starting to get overwhelming as you wrapped your fingers in his hair, cries and gasps leaving your mouth as he licked and sucked at your clit.
“Theo, please! ‘S Too much!” You whined, trying to pull away from him. His free hand stopped you, wrapping around your hips to keep you in place. “Shit! Oh my fuck!” You cried out from the overstimulation, the pleasure on the brink of being pain.
He wasn’t stopping, forcing another orgasm out of you as you cried and clawed at his scalp, which only made him hiss. He kept going, though. Any hopes of him slowing down or stopping were gone, all you could do was plead and cry. He worked you to another orgasm, this one nearly making you black out as it hit you.
“Fucking hell, cara mia. That was perfect. I need you to do that again for me.” He said and you raised your head to look at him, noticing the drenched sheets beneath you.
“What?” You asked, still dazed.
“I made you squirt. And you’re gonna do that again for me.” He smiled before leaning back down to lick at your clit again.
You whimpered and clung to his hair again, body fighting on if it wanted more or less from him. His arm around you wouldn’t let you decide anyways since it kept you from squirming further or closer to him. He easily brought you to another orgasm like he already knew your body. He helped you through it, not even minding that you soaked him again in your cum.
He finally let you go, standing up to push down his pants and chuck off his shirt before settling back between your legs, bringing them over his shoulders as he started easing his cock into you. You and him moaned together as he bottomed out, giving you a moment to adjust before beginning to thrust. “You take me so well, cara mia. Holy shit. You feel better than I ever imagined.”
Your mind was already blank from all the previous orgasms, no way you could respond other than with the moans and whimpers that left your mouth from how sensitive you were.
“Just one more for me, bella. Cum on my cock for me and we’ll be done. I just need it. I need to feel it.” He rambled, his hips pounding into yours, desperately trying to get both of you to cum.
With how sensitive you were, your orgasm came quickly, clenching his cock and sobbing. He praised you, wiping your tears as he helped ride out your orgasm.
“Sorry, principessa. Just one more. Please, just one more. I promise that’s it.” He said as he kept slamming into you, overworking your cunt.
“I can’t-I can’t, Theo! I can’t!” You cried.
“Just one more. I promise. Just give me one more. Fuck, you felt so good cumming around me, I just need to feel it one more time.” He said, gently kissing your leg on his shoulder.
He forced you into another orgasm before he finally came, filling your pussy with his cum.
“It’s okay, cara mia. We’re all done. You did so good for me.” He rested your legs on the bed and cupped your face, pressing soft kisses on your face.

you snap you head up at how casually ellie fixes your problem and give her a confused look. “wait ellie i didn’t know you were good at math?”
“yeah it kinda just comes naturally to me so i never really talk about it.” ellie shrugs her shoulders nonchalantly.

୨୧ GUESS ˒˒ AU ( PT.1 )
─── ﹙🎱﹚with the label of "casual" put on yours and giselle's relationship, all you could do was continue it, which meant letting your feelings linger, or break it off completely, but fuck, was it difficult with aeri uchinaga being just so, her. INSPIRED BY GUESS BY CHARLI XCX FEAT. BILLIE EILISH.
pairing. aeri uchinaga x f!r genre. angst wc. 800+ notes. wooo second fic !!! didn't mean to make it so angst n stuff but oops 💔💔 a little suggestive. may add a part2 that's more fluff depending on the poll's results at the end of the fic. (MASTERLIST)
now playing ⋆ guess by charli xcx feat. billie eilish
YOU WERE SO, SO SCREWED. you didn't know how it happened, really; one moment, you were splayed over her lap, then the next, you were on her bed.
the fine line between just friends and more than friends start to blur as you and giselle begin to "unethically" sneak around when the sky became a dark, midnight hue—marking the time to meet up with the girl. these casual yet intimate rendezvous between the two of you only sparked your desire—your need—to see giselle.
everything starts to blur into one big mix of everything yet also nothing all at once, from the way giselle's hand meets your front door, knocking on it ever-so-gently, to the way her hands snake around your waist, as she grumbles some bullshit about her long, boring day of work.
her teeth crash against yours with a fervor that has you melting and your knees trembling. giselle breathes out, "missed you—missed this s'bad," as a low, throaty chuckle escapes her breath, her manicured nails trailing against your arms. at this point, your head almost reels at giselle's words, the two of you like fucking magnets.
sprawled up on the bed, you mumble, "yeah, yeah, me too. just- i'm a little busy y'know, from school and shit." you lie, your breath hitching. your hands meet the front of giselle's chest, distancing her away from you.
it doesn't help that giselle's hand curls around your wrist, pulling you closer, as a pout plays on her face and that familiar, smug lilt of hers repeats in your head, "please, let me stay the night?" to which, you meekly nod, too entranced by the japanese girl, "what's got you so busy anyway? a new boy, girl, whatever?"
"i've just been so swamped with assignments," you quickly blurt out, a little too quickly, when giselle inches herself closer to you, settling herself onto your lap. you could practically feel your heart pump out of your chest, as you run a hand through your hair.
nodding, giselle sighs, "so swamped that you haven't found the time to see me?" she teases, prodding at your cheek. this was the first time you guys had been alone for weeks, and god was it exhilarating. her slender fingers toy with the waistband of your sweatpants, as she remarks, "already know what you've got going on down there."
"shut up, gi," a giggle escapes your throat, as though you were a middle school girl crushing. your hands find themselves in giselle's tresses, entangling them. giselle presses a heated kiss against your jawline, almost eagerly, as you let her. before you knew it, her lips were against yours, her tongue easily slipping in.
"y'know, i'm starting to think that you just don't wanna see me, and that just, wounds me," giselle dramatically laments, her tone laced with venom and mockery. the japanese girl snorts at your dumbfounded expression before quickly giggling, "i'm just jokin' around, relax, pretty girl."
god, that nickname makes your heart ache, with how much you wish you could just simply deny her, and tell the girl that you couldn't do this anymore.
you meekly shake your head, "i know, i know, aeri." shrugging, you run a hand through her tresses, scratching her scalp.
"you're so uptight now, y'know that? it's like you're purposely avoiding me," giselle sighs, to which, you frantically shake your head.
"i'm not, gi. like i said, i'm swamped," you shrug, trying to play everything off, as you lean back against the bed's headboard.
"sure doesn't seem like it," the japanese girl huffs, folding her arms against her chest, before she continues, "i mean, you always walk away whenever you see me anywhere, avoiding me like the fuckin' plague.
you almost scoff at giselle's mention of that incident, snapping, "so what? i'm not obligated to wave at you in public. we're just casual like you agreed to—whatever that means."
"that- that's what's got your panties in a bunch? god, i knew you'd be like this, y/n—all sentimental and shit. we agreed to be casual, collectively, not just me," giselle retorts, rolling her eyes, "this is bullshit."
the japanese girl huffs, as she rolls herself off the bed, rubbing her temples. she sighs, "if you thought we were more than that, that's on you, y/n." sure, giselle felt pity for you—just a little bit—but it wasn't like you didn't know what you were getting yourself into; you knew it was solely casual, and that was addressed at the start.
but god forbid you fall in love with a girl like giselle—one hell of a girl, even.
the following week without giselle was hell; all you could do was let yourself be swallowed by your emotions, your back plastered against your bedsheets all day—the same bedsheets that giselle always laid on. how could you be so codependent on giselle? you always knew you were just so codependent on her, yet you never knew why.
it's the lacy black pair with the little bows,
the ones i picked out for you in tokyo.

Witchcraft Exercise - Creating Correspondences
There are dozens of plant species in the arsenal of the green witch. Commonly-used varieties and usage varies somewhat between traditions, but most of us are fairly familiar with industry standards like basil, bay, rosemary, sage, and so on.
But what do you do when faced with a plant that has no listed magical correspondences anywhere that you can find in your witchcraft library? Simple - you create some.
Allow me to demonstrate with a little plant I found in my own backyard. It's a common weed called Virginia copperleaf (Acalypha virginica). But despite it's widespread range and abundant growth as a field weed, there are surprisingly few references to the plant in regional folk medicine and none at all that I could find in contemporary witchcraft.
So in order to incorporate this hardy little weed into my practice, I set about creating some correspondences for it.
First, I researched the physical properties of the plant. It is a small annual spurge with long taproots, a resistance to drought and many herbicides, and a reputation for fast growth and being difficult to eradicate from fields due to prolific seeding. The leaves turn coppery-red in the fall and small spiky flowers bloom among the foliage. It is also mildly poisonous. The juice of the plant may cause contact dermatitis or a mild rash in some people and if ingested, it may cause GI symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea.
Next, I researched references to the plant in folk medicine. I could only find a single reference that cited copperleaf as a possible diuretic and expectorant. That does track with the previous mention of GI symptoms, but it doesn't mean the plant is safe to use. I did discover that an alternate name for the plant is three-seeded mercury or mercury weed, likely because of its' tendency for fast growth and the fact that it is propagated by the wind.
So now comes the business of creating the correspondences, using the physical properties of the plant as a basis.
The first and most obvious association is strength. Any weed that is resistant to drought and herbicide and uprooting is bound to be useful for spells involving tenacity and fortitude. Prosperity is also a likely use, both because of the name copperleaf and the way in which the plant grows and spreads quickly. Because of the alternate name mercury weed and the wind propagation, it could be used for wind magic or communication spells. (I often associate the element of air with communication and the name of a messenger god is right there as well, but your mileage may vary.)
The plant could also be used as an ingredient for baneful magic, either to bind and frustrate someone's efforts by consuming available ground where their ambitions might grow, or in its' capacity as a mild poison, to cause physical discomfort and stomach trouble.
So in the end, I have a handful of copperleaf and a listing in my witchbook that details the properties of the plant and notes that it could be useful for spells involving strength, tenacity, prosperity, wind, or communication, as well as possible baneful uses including binding, discomfort, and sickness.
This is my system for assigning correspondences to previously-unknown plants, and I encourage readers to use it as a template for their own practices or to create their own system. Either way, I recommend the use of a field guide or plant identification app like PlantNet to properly identify plants as you find them. Remember to forage and harvest responsibly, be a good steward of the land around you, and always label your plant cuttings.
Happy Witching! 💚🌿

hello, aventurine blade and jing yuan with a teen reader thats like lynette from gi? (please do include lynette‘s backstory as well) :3
Hello there, Anon!! Thank you for the request, and I hope you'll like it!<33
Content: Platonic relationships, vague non-descriptive mentions of past child abuse/kidnapping, reader is a young teen, characters are older brother/father figures, angst, hurt/comfort, fluff, sfw
Reader has no set pronouns!!
((Not proofread))
》AVENTURINE
You and Aventurine found a lot of similarities in eachothers pasts, mainly because you knew how it felt like to suffer at the hands of greedy nobles. He saw a younger him in you, which made him initially, therefore, take you in when you first arrived in the IPC. You were quiet and extremely reserved at the beginning, which he respected in his own slightly teasing way.
He knew his patience eventually paid off when you'd ask him to join you for some tea, where you'd open up about your favorite books or interests. He'd calmly listen to you whilst enjoying that rare moment of relaxation you gave him.
He definitely also teaches you card tricks once he finds out about your little magician's assistant gig you had going on. Aventurine finds a sense of pride in watching you master new skills taught by him, as he silently wonders if all he does for you is enough to set you on the path of having a good life one day. Even if it is one without him around to guide you anymore.
》JING YUAN
Jing Yuan doesn't pry about your past more than what was necessary. You were brought to him after you killed the noble that had abused you, and at the sight of your rather young age, he decided that taking you in was a good idea. He didn't mind how cold and reserved you were to him, he was a patient man and had all the time in the world for you.
He eventually began inviting you for tea, where you'd play chess together and speak about topics he slowly found out you were perhaps into. Jing Yuan also definitely made you hang out with Yanqing as well, figuring that having someone of your age around would be helpful. And despite both of you being annoyed by it at first, you two grew to be a very strong team together.
The general makes sure you know that you can always rely on him if your past haunts you. He's not going anywhere and neither are you.
(He definitely also pats your head often, unable to hide his secret cuteness aggression from how adorable your cat ears and tail was. He finds your deadpans funny.)
》BLADE
Blade didn't care about where you were from or what made you end up joining the Stellaron hunters in the first place. You were uninteresting, just another kid with a dark past... until you were assigned to work for him, and he therefore became somewhat of your caretaker. Neither of you was thrilled, but you learned to move on and deal with it slowly. Your past was only brought up once, and despite being seemingly indifferent to it, Blade was somewhat impressed by how you were still able to be so calm and collected after all of it. It made him somewhat... easier on you.
As time went on, both of you grew closer as mentor and student in a way, both of you knowing that you can rely on the other when things got bad. He kept your back clear, and you kept his clear. That was the silent deal you struck. Blade definitely trained you to become a master assassin as well, figuring that you'd need it if you wanted to survive in this world. He didn't care if he had to be a bit sterner or even colder, but he knew you'd thank him one day.
Eventually, life would make you part ways one way or another. Whether it was through him finally being relieved of his cursed burdens or you moving on from him as a mentor, he knew it would come to an end. But until then, he figured your company wasn't too bad, as he simply decided to keep being your teacher until fate said otherwise.
Alrighttt!! I'm sorry this took so long, but as everyone knows, life sucks. Anyhow, I hope this was okay, Anon, and thank you again for the request!!<33

who was Augusta Chiwy?
Episode 6 of Band of Brothers is a masterpiece, but I think writer Bruce C. McKenna made a huge error in only including Augusta Chiwy as a background character with no name in the episode, while Renée is a focus. I did some research on this amazing hero, who honestly deserves a miniseries of her own.
Renée Lemaire and Augusta Marie Chiwy (pronounced shee-wee) were nurses that lived in Belgium before the Battle of the Bulge. They volunteered to help Dr. John ‘Jack’ Prior (who was assigned to the 20th Armored Infantry Battalion) when the battle started. Dr. Prior evacuated the wounded soldiers he was taking care of from Noville to Bastogne as Noville was taken by German troops. Lemaire and Chiwy both volunteered to help Dr. Prior take care of the massive amounts of wounded men who were brought from the front lines into Bastogne.
Augusta was born in Belgian-colonized Africa (in the part that is now Burundi) to a Belgian father and African mother. Her family moved to Belgium when she was a child, and she trained as a nurse there. She was visiting Bastogne to see her father when the Battle of the Bulge began. She chose to use her skills as a nurse to help the soldiers who were trying to defend Bastogne from German forces.
Augusta Chiwy was heroic in her work during the Battle of the Bulge. War historian Peter Chaddick-Adams wrote that “Chiwy accompanied ‘Doc’ Prior to collect casualties from Mardasson Hill, north-east of Bastogne, wearing a GI uniform because her own clothes had become saturated with blood.” Chaddick-Adams wrote that Dr. Prior thought that bullets missed Augusta as she was out on the line because she was “so small.” Augusta was only 23 years old when she cared for hundreds of soldiers during the battle.
Renée Lemaire was killed by the Luftwaffe on December 23 when German aircraft bombed the Bastogne aid station, along with thirty wounded soldiers who were also inside. Augusta Chiwy was blown through a wall but miraculously survived the bombing. Her contributions to saving lives, and providing comfort to many soldiers in their last moments were largely unrecognized until 2011, when Augusta Chiwy was granted Knighthood by the king of Belgium for her service in the battle. The American ambassador to Belgium also presented Chiwy with the Civilian Award for Humanitarian Service. At this ceremony, Chiwy said: “What I did was very normal. I would have done it for anyone. We are all children of God.”
She passed away at 94 years old on August 23, 2015.

An interactive evacuation zone map, touted by the Israeli military as an innovation in humanitarian process, was revealed to rely on a subset of an internal Israeli military intelligence database. The US-based software developer who revealed the careless error has determined -> that the database was in use since at least 2022 and was updated through December of 2023.
On Tuesday, July 9th, we discovered an interactive version of the evacuation map while examining a page on the IDF's Arabic-language website accessible via a QR code -> published on an evacuation order leaflet.
The map is divided into "population blocks" an IDF term to refer to the 620 polygons used to divide Gaza into sectors that a user can zoom into and out of.
However each request to the site pulls not only the polygon -> boundaries but the demographic information assigned to that sector, including which families - and how many. members - live there.
𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐩𝐬:
Evacuation maps have played a central role -> in determining which sectors of Gaza were deemed "safe", but repeated instances of Israeli bombing in "safe" sectors has prompted international bodies to state "nowhere in Gaza is safe"
To determine how these sectors have been affected over time, assess the presence of vital -> civilian infrastructure, and gauge the potential impact on the population following the military's evacuation calls to Gaza City residents, the latest of which was two days ago, our team created a map tied to a database using software known as a "geographic information system” -> With the help of volunteer GIS developers, our map of Gaza included individual layers for hospitals, educational facilities, roads, and municipal boundaries.
This endeavor took an unexpected turn earlier this week when we started to work on -> the layer of "evacuation population blocks"
using a map shared to the Israeli military's Arabic site. Unlike static images, these maps responded interactively to zooming and panning. A software developer suggested that dynamic interaction was possible because the coordinates -> of various "population blocks" were delivered to the browser with each request, potentially retrieving the coordinates of the "population blocks" in real time and overlaying them on the map we were building.
The software developer delved into the webpage's source code -> —a practice involving the inspection of code delivered to every visitor's browser by the website. The source code of every website is publicly available and delivered to visitors on every page request. It functions "under the hood" of the website and can be viewed without -> any specialized tools or form of hacking.
𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚
Upon examination, the data retrieved by the dynamic evacuation map included much more than just geographical coordinates. The source code contained a table from an unknown GIS -> database with numerous additional fields labelled in Hebrew.
These fields included population estimates for each block, details of the two largest clans in each block (referred to as “CLAN”), rankings based on unknown criteria -> and timestamps indicating when records were last updated.
Some data terms, such as "manpower_e," were ambiguous for us to interpret, possibly referring to either the number of fighters or the necessary personnel to maintain the area -> Using this information we determined that Block 234, Abu Madin was last updated on 27 April 2022. This suggests that Israel's effort to divide Gaza into 620 "population blocks" began one and a half years before the current Israeli offensive -> Additional modification dates indicate that the military updated data in this field regularly throughout October and November, before formally publishing it on the arabic Israeli military webpage on December 1, 2023.
It appears that the IDF has accidentally published -> a subset of their internal intelligence
GIS database in an effort to impress the world with a novel, humanitarian evacuation aid. It is easier to retrieve a database in its entirety than to write a properly selective query. Such mistakes are common among programmers that lack -> experience, security training, or are simply unwilling or unable to do meet standard data security requirements for a project.
𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 -> In January, Israeli security chiefs proposed a plan for "the day after" where Palestinian clans in the Gaza Strip would temporarily administer the coastal enclave. In this concept, each clan would handle humanitarian aid and resources for their local regions. Israeli assessments of the proposal suggested such a plan would fail due to "lack of will" and retaliation by Hamas against clans willing to collaborate with the army. The plan has since been modified to include Hamas-free “bubbles,” (as reported by the Financial Times) -> where local Palestinians would gradually take over aid distribution responsibilities.
As this plan is to be initially implemented in Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahia. Al-Atatrah Area and Beit Hanoun, we have analyzed the information in the database assigned to those three areas -> Israeli army classified the Al-Atatrah area as region 1741, although there are only 620 'blocks' on the map. The registered population was listed as 949, last updated by the IDF on October 9th. We assume this represents an estimate by the IDF of current residents as of Oct 9th. Residents of Al-Atatrah were among the first to evacuate following the initial bombardment on October 7th and 8th and were not given a formal notification to evacuate. The Israeli military noted that the Abo Halima family comprised 54% of the block’s population -> In area west of the town Beit Hanoun, Israel had desginated the Almasri clan as the largest in the sector, consisting 18% of the block's population. Second largest was the Hamad family, with11% of the block's population. This area were also associated with rankings, however -> without the criteria used to determine the ranking, these numbers are difficult to interpret.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐥?
Although some of the data were inadvertently truncated during publication, posing challenges for comprehensive -> interpretation, this database provides a valuable window into the Israeli military's perspective on Gaza.
For one, it prompts questions into why the military had already partitioned Gaza into 620 population blocks a year an a half before October 7th -> This suggests an early inclination to implement a governance policy where clans would assume authoritative roles, as well as detailed population surveillance. Tracking dense populations in the chaos of urban warfare is a difficult task -> It may be that the QR code on the evacuation map actively collects the locations of people who scan it, allowing the IDF to collect real-time data on Palestinians in Gaza as they attempt to find safety.

Reunions
Charlie x Reader x Bumblebee
For @deafeningsharkslimeempath
Working for GI Joe as a part of the admin team has its perks. You get to go home at the end of each day back to your loving wife in your cozy suburban home. The hours are the same and you can always count on being back in Charlie’s arms before sunset.
Today you find yourself called into General Hawk’s office. The older gentleman of an officer throws down a file on the desk in front of you.
“You know about the deal we have with the autobots, right?” He says with a cigar in his mouth.
“The bodyguard program, sir?”
“The very one. We’ve selected you to watch over an operative of theirs.” He clicks a button on his desk, the wall behind opens up, exposing a giant military hanger where the Autobots were currently resting.
“This is above my pay grade, sir” you look around in awe.
“Then we’ll give you a raise, soldier” Hawk retorts. “The autobot assigned to you is code named Bumblebee.”
Bumblebee. The name rang a bell. Charlie told you all about her time in high school when she met a robot who disguised itself as a VW Beetle. You couldn’t help but smile.
Hawk guides you up to the titular Autobot, currently doing a series of air punches.
“Bee,” Hawk motions to you, “this is Sgt. (L/N), he’ll be your bodyguard. You’re to stay with him and his family.”
“Hey…there…” Bee’s radio searches to formulate his words. “You can be my wingman, anytime”
“Bee.” You smile as you approach him, “you do sound like a bumblebee”
Bee looks to you in confusion. A little bumble sound escapes his mouth.
“Charlie told me all about you”
Bee immediately jumps in excitement.
“Bumblebee” Charlie’s voice comes through the radio.
“We got a lot to talk about on the way to my place” you smile.
Bee quickly transforms back into the VW Beetle. “Come on…let’s…go already!”
You spent the whole drive home telling Bee all about your life with Charlie. How you met her when she was touring with the Olympic diving team on an USO tour. Your first date with her. Bee couldn’t help but giggle at that part. Your home, her job with the diving team’s administration now that she’s retired. Bee felt so at ease, knowing that his best friend was doing so well.
Charlie was painting in the living room, her mind allowed to flow freely as the Kinks plays over her headphones.
A little feisty kick from her growing belly made her giggle, “I know, Daddy should be home soon. Not even born yet and you’re a daddy’s girl. Well so is Momma”
She hears the sound of a horn honking as you pull up in a yellow VW Beetle. Charlie couldn’t help but get a little emotional. The sight of you driving up in a Bug, especially one that looked exactly like her old friend.
“Sweet new car” Charlie giggles seeing the VW Beetle.
“Makes for a good family car” you retort, “he’ll keep you and our little girl safe”
“He?”
Bee immediately transformed before Charlie’s eyes. Tears began flowing down Charlie’s face.
“Bee!!” She ran to the tall robot. Bee leaned down and gently scooped up his old friend. “You look great! Look at you”
“He’s looking at you, kid” Bee gently ran a finger over Charlie’s pregnant belly.
Charlie giggles, “it’s a girl. Y/N and I are so excited. This is great! Little Hailee will get to know her Uncle Bee”
“Uncle?” Bee responded thru the radio. The yellow Autobot looks to you, “thanks…wingman”
“Welcome home, Bee” you respond.

Elvis had never lived away from home before, and he was miserable, homesick for his mother, Gladys. “He needed someone to look out for him,” Mansfield says, “and Sergeant Norwood was a good one to do that.” William Norwood, the master sergeant, saw the despair in the kid’s face and took him home so he could call his mother. “When you come in my house, you can let it all out” was Norwood’s fatherly advice. “But when you walk out of my front door, you are now Elvis Presley. You’re an actor. You’re a soldier. So, by God, I want you to act! Don’t let anybody know how you feel on the inside."
When GIs from other companies razzed Elvis during marches, Sergeant Norwood would stop the proceedings and dress the offender down.
Presley reportedly turned down opportunities to tour as a military entertainer or serve as a recruiting pitchman when he was drafted, and generally wanted to be treated as an ordinary soldier. His entry into the Army created a media circus. But officials at Fort Hood, where Presley was assigned to the 2nd Armored Division and underwent basic and advanced training, ordered the media not to interfere with his training, since he was to be treated as any other recruit.
Yet the legend of a young Elvis who lived for about six months with his parents, Vernon and Gladys Presley, in a sprawling one-story house in Killeen has endured in Central Texas lore. Elvis was known to drive a Cadillac, go grocery shopping with his parents at the Piggly Wiggly and sometimes come out onto the front porch in the evenings to sign autographs.
Stories abound of the summer of '58, when Presley, tanned by the Texas sun, would be seen around town. His family rental house on Oak Hill Drive has been a novelty for longtime Killeen residents who drive by to see "the house where Elvis lived."
Teri Hospers, a pediatric cardiologist in San Antonio who attended Nolan Middle School in Killeen in the 1970s, remembers a story one of the teachers there often told about a dog he had as a boy who once bit Elvis. After Presley left Killeen, the dog appeared in a local parade with a sign around its neck, proclaiming "I bit Elvis Presley."
Bitten in backyard:
"To avoid fans gathered at his house, Elvis would run through the neighbors' backyards. That's how he got bitten," Hospers said. "We all thought it was a funny story. In a town like Killeen, it was exciting to have a connection to someone that famous."
Elvis letter to Fort Hood mentor:
Presley had written a heartfelt, two-page letter while serving in the Army in Germany. The letter, signed, "your friend, PFC Elvis Presley," was written by the King of Rock 'n' Roll at a pivotal time in his life, less than three months after his mother died, to a Fort Hood sergeant who mentored the young private and helped him deal with his grief.
In a similar dispatch he wrote from Germany to one of his cousins:
In that letter, sent the same month as to the one to Norwood, Presley wrote of his sadness over the loss of his mother, who had died of a heart attack at age 46.
He even mentioned longing for the "last few wonderful days at Fort Hood" that he spent with her, Livingston said.

LANDSCAPING LOVE || Bakugou Katsuki x Reader || Chapter I.
SUMMARY -> Tired of bouncing back and forth between the U.S. and Japan after graduating college, you’ve finally secured the career of your dreams: You’re Japan’s first heroics cartographer, a title bestowed upon you due to your quirk and specialty, that creates geographic maps for hero agencies across the country. While your work is highly respected and sought after, you’re known for a more niche reason among your coworkers at the Dynamight Agency: the food you make is fucking amazing. When Dynamight himself inevitably gets word that you’re coming for his cooking title on his own turf, chaos ensues and you find yourself competing against your boss for not only best chef, but also to win over his heart.
CONTENT/WARNINGS -> Pro hero AU, agency reader, reader with a quirk, fem/AFAB reader, reader is originally from America, reader is bilingual (English and Japanese), strangers (more like coworkers that don’t get a chance to speak much) to friends to lovers, fluff & chaos, minimal angst, suggestive humor.
LENGTH -> 7.9K
MASTERLIST
Running late for your first agency project presentation was not on your bingo card this year.
Because of nerves and the constant fear that you were going to tumble over your words during your presentation, you pulled a semi-all nighter and stayed up until 3 a.m. rehearsing your slides and your speech for the Dynamight Agency’s meeting on your current geographic project.
You’ve been working for the company for 7 months now, and this project is the first large-scale assignment you’d been given since you started. You’ve worked on smaller, personal projects for Dynamight and other pro heroes, but this project was your pride and joy, seeing as it was requested by Dynamight himself.
Your quirk, landscape, allows for you to create an entire mental map, in very graphic detail, of the area around you within five miles. This includes the visualization and relative scale of buildings, sidewalks, roads, and alleyways. Your quirk works when you place your bare hands on the ground, which sort of sucks because the city’s grounds weren’t exactly the cleanest. In order for you to utilize your quirk correctly, you grew up practicing cartography of all sorts. One could say your quirk opened up doors to many different career paths, such as engineering or urban planning, but you had decided early on that the best way you would be able to help people is by utilizing your maps for heroes.
Heroes use maps for everything, and you were going to profit off of that no matter what. Your quirk could expand past the five mile radius if you kept bouncing around to different areas, drew their maps from your memory, and combined all maps to create one whole map of a specific city or town. During your time in undergrad, you majored in and graduated (Summa cum laude, may you add) with a degree in geography, your main focus of research being urban cartography. Heroics cartography didn’t exist, so you figured the next best thing would be urban areas.
Your undergraduate research consisted of said urban cartography, and because of your academic standing, you were offered a study-abroad program for geographers that was located in Tokyo, which you took without a second’s hesitation. You always dreamed that you’d be helping U.S. heroes, however, during your time in Tokyo, you fell in love with the entirety of Japan and the vast landscapes you got to visit and draw. Your research professor oversaw your projects, which consisted of city maps, data collection, and utilizing GIS software to create digital maps that could be used for multiple different areas, whether that be infrastructure planning, evacuation routes, or heroics, your main focus.
Your current job as a heroics cartographer is a first in Japan. While it’s not that well-known that you’re the first person to ever have such a title, the pro heroes around you seem to understand its importance. Your job at Dynamight’s Agency allows you to create maps for Dynamight and his sidekicks to use for patrol routes, monitoring high crime areas across the city, and visualizing the areas where property damage occurs most. Not only do you work for Dynamight, but your skills have been requested and used by other pros across the city, including but not limited to Deku, Shouto, and Red Riot.
You really got into this career out of sheer luck and fate. While you were drawing up maps for the city during your third year of undergrad, pro hero Red Riot had reached out to you after he accidentally destroyed one of your maps at the post office in Musutafu during a fight with a villain. He’d picked up the broken display and noticed your name in the corner and contacted you through your professor. Initially pissed off because you’d just finished that map literally a week and a half prior to its destruction, you gave him grace and told him you’d be in touch with the post office to create a new one.
He ended up paying you back for the damage, and upon realizing how detailed your maps were, inquired about your skills in cartography. It was quite jarring, sitting in Red Riot’s agency at the ripe age of 20, sweat dripping down your back through your blouse as one of the top heroes in the nation asked if you’d be able to draw up a map of a large electrical facility for him to use for an upcoming mission. He’d apparently been trying to find an up-to-date map of the interior, but had no luck. Within a week, you were being driven in a fancy company car to the facility so you could use your quirk and recreate the building’s interior infrastructure.
After you’d created the map for him, Red Riot, or Eijiro, as you now get to call him, had asked that you look into working for the pros after you graduated. He was under the impression that you were actually a Japanese university student, so you had to break the news that you actually worked in the U.S. Upon realizing, Eijiro explained that he would be more than happy to get you in contact with plenty of heroes that could use your work and give you a job abroad for almost double the pay you’d be receiving if you stayed in America.
Turns out that keeping in contact with a top hero in Japan that destroyed weeks of your work within 3 minutes of a fight was a good idea after all. Eijiro was the one who ultimately hooked you up with a job under the roof of Dynamight’s agency. Once you’d graduated, you decided that you’d work in the U.S. for a little while longer to build up your experience and resume before you decided to go abroad.
You ended up staying in America for two more years after graduation, traveling across the country and working with urban geographers in cities like Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, New York City, and Washington D.C. During this time, you were given full travel privileges to fly to Japan and help Red Riot and his pro hero allies develop brand new patrol map routes across different cities. You loved this part of your job most, and after finishing up your second year post-grad, decided to make it official and asked Eijiro if the job position was still on the table.
He would go on to give you one of the prettiest smiles you’d ever seen and excitedly tell you that yes, it was always available to you. Being friends with Eijiro meant not only a once-in-a-lifetime career connection, but it also meant realizing your potential early on.
You absolutely adore the work you do for Dynamight and his peers and wouldn’t trade it for the world. However, if you don’t hurry the hell up and get to your building in the next 7 minutes, your dream job might as well go poof. Dynamight absolutely hates when people are late, and you’ve had the pleasure of watching him blow up on company execs for showing up 15 minutes late and “wasting his fuckin’ time.”
Working for a man like Bakugou Katsuki was definitely a wakeup call the first two months you were at his agency. Turns out that while he approved your position that would inevitably change the way cartography was viewed in the modern world of heroes, Bakugou didn’t exactly care to look into what you specialized in, or so you thought. You really hadn’t had a chance to actually speak with him aside from filling him and his manager in on upcoming projects and maps you were in the process of making. After 7 months of working for the agency, you’d spoken to your boss a whopping four times, all lasting under three minutes.
This presentation you were about to give is the first one where Dynamight would be present, and fuck if you weren’t about to shit your pants from not only nerves, but fear that you might not get in the door on time for its start.
Racing past the front desk and haphazardly greeting the security guards before flashing your badge to be let through the agency gates blocking visitors from reaching the elevators, you managed to press the button for the remaining elevator on the ground floor that was being sent up.
You probably looked like an absolute atrocity in front of your fellow coworkers, with windswept hair and panting in the virtually silent elevator, save for the whirring of the machine as it took you up to the fourteenth floor of the building.
As soon as the doors of the elevator opened, you booked it down the hall to the meeting room, with 43 seconds to spare before the clock hit 9 a.m. sharp. “So sorry I’m running late! I was supposed to be here setting up earlier but some big stupid bitch tried hijacking the bus I was going to take-” you began in a rush, placing your bag and coat on your chair in the large room with a round table full of your team members and other coworkers from the analytics department.
Your team member Carl, one of only three others in the cartography department at the agency, hit your foot from under the table while calling out your name. “You’re speaking in English, we have no clue what you’re saying,” he whispered, with you quickly muttering out an apology. “Shit— sorry about that— slips my mind to switch back and forth sometimes. Apologies for not being here sooner,” you bowed to the ten workers in the room, suddenly realizing Dynamight himself nor his manager had shown up yet. Thank god, you let out a small breath of relief.
“Is Dynamight going to be in soon or should I begin without him?” You asked as your other team member Kanako grabbed your computer out of your bag and plugged it into the projector while you began pulling out your speaker notes.
“Said he’d be in soon, had to catch up with Red Riot about an ongoing police chase outside the city,” your last team member Naomi spoke out loud. Naomi was your resident work bff, and was also the one that regularly reached out to Dynamight for you to inquire about starting new projects or letting him know of recent updates. She honestly didn’t even like having to email her own boss that much, but she was more than happy to run into his manager and talk about the highs and lows of cartography if it meant staring at the poor man like he was on the lunch menu.
“Well that at least gives us some time to set it up. Sorry you all had to wait on me to get here to pull up the slides.” You felt guilty that your team had to sit in awkward silence with a department that rarely ever interacted with your own for probably a solid 20 minutes, but at least you got to the room before Dynamight so you didn’t risk a verbal ass beating in front of everyone.
As soon as you’d finished laying out the hand-drawn maps of your project out on the round table, Dynamight himself opened the large oak door and walked into the meeting room, glancing at you for a split second before sitting in the chair that was opposite of you, towards the back of the room and for him to be able to see everyone clearly. His manager trailed in behind him, scolding him for not slowing down and hearing his run down of how the meeting would go. Dynamight only waved his hand in the air at his manager before casting his sharp gaze back to you.
You felt a twinge of anxiety race up your body. You really hadn’t been expecting him to come to this meeting until Naomi filled you in two weeks ago that he wanted to attend. Guess it meant he actually did pay attention to what he hired you and your team for. Regardless, you bowed to him and began speaking, not waiting for him to tell you to start, as he wasn’t one that gave directions to grown adults.
“Thank you for joining us today, Dynamight. The project that my team and I have been working on recently is one you formally requested for us to start three months ago,” you clicked the presentation remote that flipped to the next screen on your slideshow. “As you requested, the cartography department created digital and physical choropleth maps of the districts within Musutafu and their relative crime rates within the past year.” You pointed towards the round desk. “The top map is the same as the map you see on our slideshow,” you spoke in a quick, easy-to-understand manner and glanced at everyone’s faces to gauge their reactions throughout your presentation speech.
The maps that Dynamight had asked for were so that he would be able to see if his patrol routes needed to be changed in order to monitor areas of Musutafu that were still unresponsive to patrols by heroes in terms of crime decreasing. If there was one thing your boss prided himself on, it was his patrol routes and his ability to cut crime and villain attack rates in his designated areas in half. However, recently there was an uptick in petty crime rates, and in order for him to not get shit on by the public for a “lack of appropriate response,” he put in a formal request for your department to create maps relating to recent data changes in crime rates across the city.
You and your team were more than happy to fulfill this request, as it meant working with real, recent data and meant you got to visit neighboring hero agencies and compare their patrol route crime rates with Dynamight’s. Any excuse to get out of your department’s office on the fifth floor was a godsend because your back really couldn’t handle anymore work days where you were hunched over the large workbench mapping out the city for hours at a time.
As you continued on with your presentation, you periodically glanced towards Dynamight to check his facial expressions for any annoyance or confusion at your maps. Seeing none, you internally LETS FUCKING GOOOO’d because you knew it meant at the very least that if he was understanding the maps, everyone else most likely could too.
Once you reached the last slide, you made a small noise of dissatisfaction. “When we took a look at certain districts, we did notice that the victims of the crimes committed were young women who regularly walked home by themselves later at night. They seemed to be around their early 20s to their late 30s.” Naomi nodded at you, a silent way of saying to continue on.
“I’m sure that you don’t like when many do this, and forgive me if I’m stepping out of bounds,” you began, feeling your hands sweat. “But please do take this information seriously. I know you’re a hardworking hero, so I trust your skills. But I sincerely hope the next time I check the data that the rates will have fallen. People deserve to walk home without fearing for their lives.”
Dynamight’s eyes seemed to bore into your skin, wanting to bark a clipped response back, but he managed to nod silently. You didn’t want to outright mention you yourself were scared of the trend in crime since you fit the statistic, often walking home by yourself late after all-day shifts, but it seems like he’d caught on by the look on your face.
You wrapped up the presentation and answered a couple different questions that the analytics department had about the data collection and resources you used. After your coworkers began packing their bags to leave, you noticed that Dynamight had gotten up out of his chair and walked over to you, who currently stood beside your bag, closing all the tabs you had open that were starting to overheat your little computer.
Glancing up, you nearly choked on your spit at the proximity between the two of you. He was in his winter hero suit, with the black turtleneck beneath his chest piece being pulled tight against his arms, making his muscles pop out unnecessarily in your face, but you definitely were not complaining. Bim..g… muscles… you thought, trying not to stare too long.
“Y-Yes, Dynamight sir?” You managed to sputter out, all too aware of your team members looking at the two of you now. Dynamight managed to grunt in acknowledgement before speaking. “Wanted to ask if you could make one of your fuckin’ maps for Deku. The shithead keeps begging me to ask, he wants one to hang up in his office of his patrol routes.”
Your eyes widened in surprise. Of course you would make him one, but you didn’t expect for Dynamight to ask you directly. Typically he forced his manager Atsuno to write out emails of requests he had. You managed to nod eagerly to him. “Yeah, no problem. I can email him later and ask about details. Thanks for letting me know.”
Dynamight only grunted once more before turning on his heel and leaving the room, leaving Atsuno to give chase to his boss as he bowed quickly at you and gave his appreciation for your presentation before leaving the room himself.
The only ones left in the room now were your teammates, and all it took was one glance between the four of you before you all let out a holler in excitement. “We did it! You did incredible up there girl,” Naomi slung her arm around you as you pulled her in for a hug. “I was shitting bricks the whole time, I don’t think I realized how intense Dynamight’s stare can be.”
Kanako and Carl high fived you as you all made your way to the elevator to take back down to your department. “Our first big project presentation and we didn’t get screamed at for a minuscule error? I think we deserve to celebrate tonight,” Carl wiggled his eyebrows towards you and Kanako, with Naomi agreeing excitedly.
“Bar or at someone’s place? Should we drink? Oh we’re totally drinking.” You couldn’t help but smile at your coworkers beside you. You were so grateful to have them beside you while you’d adjusted to the agency life the past couple months. All three of them had come from a specialized area in the analytics department that related to gathering information data on the public, which included things like crime rates and damage assessments.
When your job had been approved, Atsuno told you that you’d be working in a new department in your own section within the agency with some people taken from the analytics department, taking you off guard. You’d surely thought you’d be thrown into analytics too, seeing how geography and cartography could squeeze into it somehow.
Meeting your team for the first time, you were more than grateful to have them work with you as you’d expected to be alone in your department for a while. You helped walk them through the basics of cartography and digital mapmaking using current software, quickly realizing the talent each one had for different areas. While you were technically the head of your department, you felt like everyone pulled their weight equally and deserved to be held on the same level.
“We can go out or I can make us something,” you spoke out loud as the elevator dinged open. “I know you guys have been bugging me about cooking since I bring my own lunches everyday.” Naomi cheered beside you, agreeing as Carl and Kanako hummed in thought. “I’ll pitch in for ingredients if Carl and Naomi buy the alcohol,” Kanako said, casting a glance to her coworkers that were chanting, American food! American food! Over and over again to one another.
All in agreement, you quickly got off on the fifth floor and entered your department room. Located towards the right hand corner in the back of the large office floor, the department itself wasn’t noticeable to the general eye unless you went looking. You each had respective offices lining a small back hallway, with the room at the very end of it being your workshop that expanded into a large open-area space containing desktops, workbenches, and cartography supplies strewn around the place. Atsuno had been kind enough to order a custom nameplate to go above the awning of you and your team’s hall, with Heroics Cartography Department written out in beautiful gold lettering, contrasting nicely against the cool grey paint of the wall.
“Let’s lock in on the rest of the requests and orders today so we can leave at a decent time,” you said, closing the door to the workshop as everyone spoke in agreement. Carl called out your name as you were booting up the desktops to pull up emails from your clients. “We doing hard liquor shit tonight or going with something like wine? Need to pair it well with whatever you’re making.”
You hummed in thought. “We could definitely do cocktails. I was thinking about making gumbo since it’s still cold outside.” You grabbed your phone that was situated in your bag and opened up the Notes app to create your grocery store list. Luckily Japan kept up with their spices and typically had an American section in larger stores where you could grab some of the spice mixes needed for your food.
“Make it spicy as fuck girl, I wanna feel tears pouring out of my eyes to your incredible cooking,” Naomi said, sending you a dreamy look. “If I make it too spicy, Carl’s gonna shit his pants. We all know this man can’t handle spice to save his life.”
“Hey! Will not,” Carl scoffed in surprise. “I just got dunked on by my ancestors because they thought it was funny to give me no spice tolerance in a country that literally eats spicy food in almost every meal.” Kanako managed a laugh at that, sending Carl a sympathetic glance before speaking to you. “If it’s not too much trouble, you could always split it into one pot being spicy and one pot being milder.”
“Fair point, but y’all better eat every morsel of my food. Southern cooking isn’t for the weak,” you mentioned as you scrolled through your finished grocery list, checking for any missing items. Naomi sent you a questioning look before asking you, “you’re from the south U.S. right? Isn’t that like hella country?” You sighed as you nodded. “Yeah, but I lived in the city, not necessarily rural. Didn’t stop me from cooking all types of recipes though.”
“Well wherever you were, you managed to become a pretty kick ass chef on your own. Your lunch always looks god tier.” Kanako said as Carl and Naomi nodded in agreement. You felt your face heat up in embarrassment at the compliment. “Living on your own in college will make you think of some wild new recipes in the name of using up all your groceries to not waste food.”
“That’s for sure, I lived off 20 different cup ramen recipes I created myself with random items from the dining halls I could snag before I got caught.” Carl muttered out loud while he pulled different sized calipers from his desk drawer to begin sketching up a project for Chargebolt.
“Food is food, for real,” you nodded in solidarity. There’s been one too many times where you felt too lazy to make full meals during school, which meant being stuck with random microwave food you kept for low energy days in your apartment kitchen. “Can’t wait to get shitfaced and discuss the existential dread of fucking up on expensive mapping paper,” you mused. Being an absolute geek over geography and cartography, you’ve caught yourself in too many drunken rambles about work-related topics when out with college friends after finals and papers were finished up for the semester.
“Let’s do our best so we can enjoy our Friday into the weekend!” Naomi pumped her fist in the air as she spoke, all of you cheering in agreement.
ೄྀ࿐ ˊˎ-
Later that night, after you all managed to finish up your progress for the day and headed out to grab your respective supplies for your celebration, you found yourself humming to a random 2010s playlist that Kanako had thrown on randomly while you cooked in the kitchen of your apartment. You lived not too far from the agency, a 25 minute walk or an 8 minute bus ride, in a nice neighborhood adorned with townhomes along the street, away from the major roads but still comfortably accessible. The salary you had now had blessed you with the opportunity to live in a nicer place, but you still opted for a more homey feel rather than all the modern bullshit that people were raving for. You really hated the idea of solid white walls and no color in your living space.
Your apartment was on the smaller side but it was just you who lived there. Naomi actually lived in the townhome across the street on the second floor. You both had found out early in your job at the agency, walking home at the same time and going from that awkward “going the same way, sorry” to “oh word you live here?” It meant that you had regular girls nights together and grew close, the friendship between the two of you falling into place naturally. Kanako and Carl were actually roommates in a flat that was a 10 minute train ride away. It truly was fate that all of you managed to not only work well, but vibe with each other outside the office too.
As you finished plating your dishes in bowls, you could hear the conversation flowing between your team in your living room. A couple drinks had already been thrown back and you were more than aware that drinking before you had food in your system was probably a bad idea, but you were about to eat anyways so fuck it. You were already two Moscow mules deep by the time you’d finished up the gumbo.
“Food’s ready!” You called out from the kitchen, the open floor plan making it easy for you to get the attention of everyone else sitting on the couch watching Love is Blind. That show was a debatable one, but you enjoyed watching Carl’s bewildered expressions at the absolutely heinous jokes Kanako would throw out about the men and women of the show and some of their horrible personalities.
“Girl get in here and tell me whether or not you think Gigi needs to up and leave ugly ass Damian,” Naomi said, helping you grab two of the four plates you were bringing out to the coffee table. “I can tell you right now that she does, she’s way too good for someone that looks like a chad version of Ed Sheeran.”
Kanako busted out laughing at your remark, agreeing at the resemblance. As you ate, everyone poured endless compliments into your food, making your chest swell with pride in your hobby. You absolutely loved to cook, and it helped you get through the more rough parts of life when you were struggling to keep up with the demands of school and research. Cooking was your safe space and you made sure you perfected staple recipes from home so you could share them with others, like you were doing now.
Kanako threw back another shot as she chased it with a can of Dr. Pepper before speaking your name. “You do know that your cooking could rival Dynamight’s, right?” You paused mid chew, throwing up an eyebrow at her to continue. You didn’t strike your boss as a cooking connoisseur, but you yourself didn’t look like one either, so you kept an open mind.
“He brings food to the potlucks we have during holidays sometimes. When I tell you that man can damn well cook, believe me,” she slurred slightly, the alcohol already hitting her. Naomi nodded in agreement. “Trust us when we say his cooking is top tier. He’d never admit it, but he likes cooking for others if it means feeding into his ego.” Naomi said, letting out a huff of laughter.
“I tried his signature mapo tofu once and it was so good but I literally had to call in sick the next day because I could not handle the spice he puts in his recipes,” Carl’s forehead thudded against the wood of the coffee table as he grimaced at the memory. “If he ever found out I nearly passed out on the toilet from what he called ‘baby shit spicy’, I think he’d fire me.” You barked out a laugh at that, imagining Dynamight drilling it into your teammate about not appreciating his food and getting sick from it.
Your team had been working with the Dynamight Agency for almost 2 years before you’d joined. It was always jarring to hear the stories of Dynamight from them. Your initial reactions to him early on were anything but pleasant, and still sometimes lean on the side of moderate annoyance. He sounded like a total dick at the beginning, but had apparently mellowed out after high school. You heard he’d bullied the hell out of the current number 1 hero during his time in middle school and a little bit of high school, which had made you livid.
You grabbed the handle of Tito’s sitting in front of you all and poured it into your glass before cracking open a new can of ginger beer and pouring it into the glass as well. You could feel the warmth of the alcohol spreading through you, loosening up your tongue the more you drank.
Retrospectively, you really shouldn’t have said the next thing that you did if it meant saving your ass in the workplace that following Monday.
“I could definitely kick Bakugou’s ass if we had a cook off, I mean I’m basically a god tier hobby chef at this point,” you muttered, missing the expressions of your coworkers, specifically the smirk Naomi had on her face. “You think so?” Carl nudged your leg with his own, casting you a tipsy glance. “Fuck yeah I could, I don’t think you realize how hard some southern cooking can be. If I can keep making the recipes without screwing them up, I’m pretty much a god in the kitchen.”
Naomi snickered as Kanako sighed out. “Don’t let Dynamight hear you say that. He gets competitive fast, especially when it comes to food. He was known in high school as the chef of his dorm, didn’t trust others to cook as well as he could.” You definitely could see that, as he struck you as the type to call his friends’ cooking skills trash compared to his own. You hadn’t had the chance to try anything by him yet but could assume it was pretty good if your coworkers spoke of it so highly.
“He can bring it on, I’m not scared of his ass, I bet he couldn’t cook a Cajun recipe if he tried,” Your mouth was moving before you had a chance to realize the words you were saying. “Yeah yeah, big talk for a girl that stuttered after taking one look at her boss’ biceps.” You nearly choked on your drink as Naomi absolutely obliterated you with one sentence. Damn, I really thought I was slick with the look. You sighed as Kanako simply whistled in your direction.
“Don’t tell me you’re falling for him already? His good looks are hard to miss,” she said as she handed you a napkin to wipe your mouth with. Muttering out a thanks, you tried to save yourself some embarrassment. “Oh please, if I wanted to torture myself by falling for a narcissist, I’d go for Shindou instead.” You shuddered at the thought of working for someone like him, suddenly grateful at the fact that you were working for Dynamight instead.
“Don’t deny yourself. I bet you probably had a Dynamight wall in your dorm room at some point.” Carl was an absolute menace when he got tipsy, clearly not skipping out on poking fun at you. You groaned at his comment, shaking your head. “Nah, it was a Deku wall, actually.” You weren’t lying if you thought about it, you did have a lot of respect for the hero as you’d learned more about him during your study abroad. He came from a humble background, what was there not to like about someone as sweet as the number 1?
“You always struck me as the type of person to go for someone batshit crazy though. I bet you’d probably like it if Dynamight was mean to you.” Kanako sent you a look that made you shiver. “How dare you accuse me of such nonsense,” you tutted, sipping on your drink before muttering a small, “I probably would.” Naomi slapped her hand on the table, yelling out, “I heard that you freak!”
You couldn’t help but laugh as your team members switched the topic to their picks for hottest heroes, with Carl sighing dreamily as he named Red Riot his number one choice, Uravity being a close second. During the chaos of the conversation, you forgot all about your quip towards Dynamight’s cooking.
You really should have remembered, because remembering would mean you could have prepared yourself more for your conversation with him later.
ೄྀ࿐ ˊˎ-
After the eventful weekend and nursing a massive hangover from the sheer amount of vodka you managed to drink together, your team trudged their way into the workplace again and began the process of uploading and creating new maps on ArcGIS to send over for clients’ approval. You were all lucky you got weekends off when there wasn’t a high demand of requests for maps and geographic data.
You were midway through a rough sketch of Deku’s patrol route, taking a small break to grab a water bottle from the vending machine on the second floor when you heard the first whispers.
“— she definitely wouldn’t,” a man from the finance department whispered to his coworker who was shaking his head enthusiastically. You recognized the guy who was speaking as Leo, a coworker you’d met early on that helped you budget out what was needed in terms of supplies in your current workspace. He often chatted with Naomi, who regularly contacted him to put in new orders of pencils and ink for the maps you all drew by hand. “I think she could. She’s from the west, they tend to take home cooking pretty seriously over there. No doubt she could beat him.” The other coworker beside Leo spoke. Now that caught your attention. It sounded like they were talking about you, but you couldn’t be sure. You didn’t know how many other people were in the agency that were also from the west, they could be talking about anybody, right?
As soon as they saw you, Leo nudged his coworker to shut up before waving at you with an uneasy smile. “What are y’all talking about over here? Something about cooking?” You said, walking over and greeting both of them. Leo nodded, slightly caught off guard. “Yeah, we— uh, we were talking about a cooking show we both watch! One of the chefs is from the west and she’s competing with other chefs to win a national title.” You raised an eyebrow at him, not really buying it but not really caring too much to think that hard about it. “Well remember that westerners can be pretty goated at cooking all kinds of food. She’s probably got a chance,” you shrugged before excusing yourself, waving at them as you walked back to the elevator once you purchased your water bottle.
You continued to flutter in and out of your workspace throughout the day, stopping for lunch and eating in your office with Naomi before returning back to work. However, you weren’t stupid; there were way more eyes on you today than you’d ever experienced, even more than when you first joined. You knew Naomi was sort of a gossip guru in the office, but you’d assumed she was probably flexing your cooking to anyone that crossed her path during the day.
You didn’t mind it, but the attention on you was definitely kind of concerning, especially because people kept whispering about something to do with an upcoming agency event that would include food. You figured you could probably whip up some good appetizers to bring to it, whenever it was.
As you were finishing up your sketches and scaling them correctly with the notes on your computer, Atsuno hurriedly burst through the door of the workshop, looking slightly disheveled. Your coworkers all glanced up at him at the same time before he coughed awkwardly and straightened his posture.
“New request sent in? Surely it’s not that important for you to have to run in here for,” You asked him as you wiped your hands on a towel to get rid of the ink stains along your palms. You definitely couldn’t risk messing up the paper now that you were this far along. He sighed heavily before shaking his head. “No, I uh— I had to come in here and ask that you go meet with Dynamight before you get off work. He wants to check in on the progress with Deku’s patrol route map.” You raised an eyebrow. Couldn’t he just shoot us an email? you wondered before nodding, asking if he was in his office. Atsuno nodded, offering to walk with you there, filling you in on the progress that’s about to be made with the maps your team had created relating back to crime rates along the districts in the city.
You missed the slightly concerned glance Naomi cast your way as you exited the shop.
After taking the elevator up to Dynamight’s office located on the 10th floor, you stepped off the lift and looked around the interior. You rarely ever came to this floor since it was mainly Dynamight’s office, the rest of the floor filled with smaller offices that were for his sidekicks, Atsuno, and his other head managers from different departments.
Turning right out of the elevator, Atsuno walked you to Dynamight’s office, adjacent from his own. Upon knocking, a gruff “come in” came from the other side of the door. Dynamight’s office was fucking nice.
It was as large as your own workshop, if not larger, and contained Dynamight’s desk, shelves full of memorabilia and other items, a couch in the center of the room, and what seemed to be an en-suite bathroom. His office overlooked the rest of the city, large window panes lining the wall his back was turned to. Along the rest of the non-windowed walls were frames of photos that contained Dynamight in his younger years, from when he was in high school to now. He was still in his mid 20s, but the photos along the wall told an interesting story of his life the past few years as he climbed the hero ranks.
Turning towards him, Atsuno cleared his throat before bowing to you and leaving, citing that he had to go sit in on a phone call with a sports clothing brand that was looking to sponsor Dynamight. He sure did clear out of here fast. You figured he was probably just busy, as all Mondays are.
Dynamight was staring into your soul again as you turned back to him and awkwardly shifted your weight onto your other foot. You began the conversation with, “you wanted to check in on Deku’s request, right?”
“Yeah. Nerd’s looking forward to it and won’t shut the hell up every time he calls me. Enjoys your work a fuckin’ ton,” he spoke, his gravelly voice sending a pleasurable hum through your body. If he wasn’t a hero, he could definitely be an ASMR YouTuber, you mused.
You gave him a small smile. “I’m surprised he’s heard of me. My work isn’t exactly groundbreaking,” you began to fiddle with your work jacket’s zipper. It was cold as shit in your office, so you had Leo sneak in an order for your team to have matching work jackets by Carhartt since they were durable and warm. “Yeah, well get used to the recognition. Your job is a first for the country. Constantly gettin’ questions about why I hired you.” You felt a small spark of annoyance work through your system. “Not sure you mean that in a good or bad way.” You huffed, walking towards his desk and sitting across from him in one of the plush seats. He eyed you with mild curiosity before explaining.
“Not a bad thing. People just don’t understand why yer work’s so important.” You nodded in acknowledgement. He wasn’t wrong. Cartographers are uncommon in the modern world now that technology has dominated the industry. You remember the times in college where people would always ask why you got into your field. You had to explain that cartography wasn’t just hand drawing maps; it related back to software and digital images too.
“I get to create anything I want on a map. My quirk’s a weird one, but it helps a lot of different people, so I’m not complaining.” You eyed the pack of pink sparkly sticky notes and glitter pens sitting next to Dynamight’s keyboard. Pinky probably brought him her new stationary set that launched recently, you thought to yourself with amusement.
“Speakin’ of, been wantin’ to ask you a question.” Dynamight caught you eying his stationary and scratched his neck in what you could assume to be embarrassment. “Shoot,” you replied, noting that the sun was finally beginning to set later in the day now that the winter solstice happened a month ago.
“Why didn’t you become like— a fuckin’ underground hero or some shit? Your quirk isn’t that niche. Could use it for raids n’ infiltrating places.” You didn’t know whether or not to take his commentary as a compliment or not, but you figured that if he was questioning your avoidance of the hero career path, it meant he noticed something in you that you didn’t.
“It wasn’t for me. My quirk is exhausting. Five miles sounds like a pretty small radius, but when I’m visualizing the area, everything is visualized. Buildings, roads, you name it. Drawing it from memory takes a lot out of me,” you spoke. “I take a while to draw and digitize my maps. It wouldn’t be easy to keep up with the hustle of hero work, let alone working within a time crunch.”
Dynamight hummed in acknowledgement. You really didn’t expect to be conversing with him about your life choices, but it was a nice break, and it meant you got to learn more about him, even if he was asking about your life.
“You still chose to work with heroes though.” You let out a small laugh. “I guess you’re right,” you began, meeting his stare. He was really pretty now that you were looking closer at him. “I figured if I couldn’t handle the stress of real hero work, that working behind the scenes is the next best thing. My maps are almost always accurate and to scale; I pride myself on it. Means that heroes can rely on the information for a multitude of things.”
He nodded, seemingly hesitating before speaking again. “Know we ain’t had a chance to talk much since y’started working here. Red begged me to put you in my agency because he figured you’d be easier to reach here and your name would get recognized if it was associated with my office.” You hadn’t really thought of that before, but he was right. Red Riot’s office was packed as it was, and you figured everyone else’s was too. It was a lucky shot that you got placed with Dynamight, since he was still looking for workers to fill in his office due to it being newer than most.
“I really appreciate Eijiro being able to start my career off like this. I never would have imagined moving across the country to start my dream job so soon, if at all,” you said, casting your gaze to the pictures on Dynamight’s shelves behind his desk. “First name basis, huh?” the hero smirked as you let out a small noise of shock. “Y-Yeah, we kept in contact a lot and he would regularly help me gain clients in different cities. Told me that we were friends and to stop addressing him by his hero name every time we talked.”
“That’s Eiji for you.” A pregnant pause followed before your boss let out a groan of frustration. “I’m not— I fuckin’ hate small talk like this. Don’t know how people do it,” Dynamight said finally, pinching the bridge of his nose before speaking again. “Couldn’t figure out how to speak to you without sounding like a dick ‘cause I didn’t do it sooner. Atsuno was grilling me about not even having a functional conversation with you yet, even though I’m the one that hired you.”
You let out a laugh at that. You had been a little mad at him for not even properly greeting you since you began your work for the agency, but you assumed that being the number 2 hero in Japan was busy as shit. “I get it, you’re a top hero. I’m sure you’re busy enough as it is, can’t blame you for not being able to talk to a cartographer of all people,” you shrugged as you spoke, Dynamight leaning back in his office chair and giving you a small nod.
“Yeah. Sorry for steering the conversation elsewhere. How’s Deku’s shitty map comin’ along?” He asked as you began going through the details of your progress.
After you explained the gist of it, he grunted in response before standing up. He’s tall as fuck, you realized as you hurriedly stood up as well, assuming your talk was over with. Dynamight walked you to his office door before stopping once you turned around to thank him again. “Thanks for uh— earlier. When you were complimenting my work. It means a lot, truly.”
“Don’t let it inflate yer shitty ego. Can’t handle another person that gets a big head after someone compliments them,” he spat. You could tell he wasn’t used to being given a sincere thanks very often. “Hey. One more thing.”
You raised an eyebrow at him as his face turned blank for a moment before he sighed and his signature scowl returned. You should have known the conversation you were having earlier was too good to be true.
“You would not be able to win against me in a fuckin’ cook off. My cooking probably beats yours by a shit ton. Watch your mouth next time you run around all bark and no bite.” You nearly fainted on the spot as your body ran as cold as ice. What the fuck. What the fuck? WHAT THE FUCK? You repeated in your head, eyes going wider than dish plates as Dynamight’s glare sent another chill down your spine.
“Shit.” Is all that came out of your mouth after he all but pushed you by your back out the door and closed it in your face.
It’s official, you think as you trudge your way to the elevator, the beginning of a migraine creeping into your skull. You were going to kill Naomi.

-CHAPTER 4-
I spent the whole night tossing and turning. How is it possible that Airport Guy was a part of that group? I still didn't had all that clear who my assignment was going to be but if it was him and his group... I was screwed.
It's not in my plans to fall in love or get into any type of relationship while I'm here, working. But Clarissa always told me that in the matters of the heart, the brain has no say in it. I would be lucky if I was only able to sleep only like 2 hours last night. This is just a great way to start on my first day.
My alarm rang at exactly 6 AM, and of course I just didn't want to wake up. But I made the effort and got in the shower. When I was washing my hair, the image of Min-Gi popped in my head. His smile was very captivating, I couldn't lie about that. I shook my head, I had to concentrate and focus on what I came here to do. I came to style and work on make up styles for a group that upcoming in the fashion and music industry and could break out big someday. No boy, man or anybody was going to be interfering in the path that I was planning for myself here. I get out of the shower, and wrap myself in a towel to do my skincare. Now that my entire luggage had gotten here, last night at 2 am its when the packages had gotten here, very convenient, all my skincare was here as well. Make up, was next and then the first outfit that was going to set me up for the rest of the year at the very least. I decided to do something a little more business casual so I grabbed a dress up blouse with a black corset, the buttons of the blouse were unbuttoned only the first two, then a pair of dress up pants with a flare cut and my louboutins. A black purse with the essentials that I need for today and headed to get a new sim card. At this point it was already 7:30 AM.
"Ah, Soo-Jin great you're up. Where can I get a sim card that works in this country?" I said while moving my phone in my hand.
She was having breakfast at the little isle in the kitchen. "Woah... You look stunning! Uhm, yeah. Just go to the convenience store that's right downstairs and ask for one. And a e-sim, it's just easier that way." She went back to her cereal. Since she was more like a part time employee, and my assistant/roommate, she didn't have to go to work right away and had to go to some classes or maybe she had online classes, I still didn't know.
"Amazing! Do they speak english? My korean is not that fluent just yet."
"Yes, the guy at the register should speak english." I look at the time and I have to get going. I mouth a thanks and leave. I take the elevator and go all the way down to the first floor. I say hello to the concierge as I pass him, and head straight to the convenience store.
Since it was in like the building next door it was easy to locate and not hard at all to find. Since I was already going to buy something, I made my way to get a triangle kimbap and cup of ice with some coffee. It was a really good thing I researched a thing or two before my trip.
"Annyeonhaseyo." I say to the cashier handing him my items.
"Ne. Annyeonhaseyo." After that he talk a little bit more in korean and faster which I obviously couldn't understand. I just opened my mouth. "Ah, you must be Soo-Jin's friend. I'm Dong-Won, I'm a friend of Soo-Jin from school." He said in English.
"Ah good, I'm sorry. It's just that my korean is not that fluent yet. I'm trying to get better." I chuckled in a little bit of embarrasment. "I need an e-sim card that I can activate as soon as possible." I said trying to indicate that I was in a rush but without being too obvious.
"Sure! It would be 5000 won, cash or card?" He said while making eye contact with me. I couldn't help but notice how handsome he was. The deepest brown eyes, with a type of haircut that just suited him so well, his smile was so contagious.
"Uhm... cash." I said while looking in my purse and handing him the money. "Wow, this is already cheaper than in the states I tell you." I laughed at my own joke. Stupid.
"Ha, yeah, I guess so. Well, have a good day." He bagged all my stuff and handed it to me.
"Well, it was nice to meet you Dong-Won, I'm Y/N. But now I feel I'm officially late for my first day." I started walking out the door while waving at him.
"Nice to meet you too, Y/N" he waved at me goodbye. I called a taxi on the street, since I didn't have the time to learn how to get there on the subway or bus.
"KQ Entertainment juseyo." I said in the best broken korean I could. At least the taxi driver understood me and I had enough cash in hand to pay for one. After just ten minutes, we had arrived. "Gamsahapnida" I pay and get out. The traffic here is definitely better than in New York. I let out a sigh and get onto the building for the big day in my adult life.
"Hi. I need to get my picture taken for my ID badge?" I already knew that this security guard spoke english so that actually helped a lot.
"One moment please." Again, input some digits in the phone but this time he handed me a card. "This is an entry card. Go to the first office on the left and give it to the person that will give you your ID and take your photo. Then head on to the 10th floor, where Ms. Jung will meet you and start your assignment."
"Wow, ok thanks." I grab the card and scan it on the entrance turnstiles. I head to the first office on the left, where I'm greeted with yet another receptionist. "Annyeonghaseyo" I hand her the card and she just gestures me to follow her. I just do as I am told here, don't want to ruin things here on my first day. She takes me to a room with a pretty white-ish backdrop and a few lights.
"Look here and smile" She told me pointing at the camera. Total high school flashback, as if I was back in picture day. But with a pretty great glow-up since then at least. After a couple of minutes, she hands me my ID with one of those stringy clips that you can attach to your clothes. I clipped it to my pants, that way its on display and in reach.
"Thanks." I didn't exactly knew what to do next so I just headed out towards the elevators, and pressed number 10 to meet with Ms. Jung. But I stopped it from going up when I heard a 'hold the elevator' from the outside.
It was him. Min-gi. In the elevator, with me. It was just the two of us in here. "Thank you." He said to me shyly. All I could do was just glance him a smile and go back to look at the floor. Why am I so nervous? He's just a guy... whom I am with alone in an elevator. It totally doesn't remind me of nothing at all. "So... You're here. Small world." Sure. It wasn't awkward at all.
"And you're here. Thanks for the save at the airport, I didn't get a chance to thank you before." I looked up at him and finally made eye contact. His eyes were incredibly beautiful, his smile shines brighter than a million diamonds. His lips look so full and shiny... it just makes you want to kiss them.
And breaking me from that spell was a little ding. We had arrived to the 8th floor, his floor. "Sure, I guess I'll see you around." Min-Gi got out of the elevator and waved back at me as the elevator doors started closing. I'm not the kind of girl to just daydream about guys I just met. So, this totally caught me off guard. I had arrived to the 11th floor, the styling floor, where I would be a team leader from today on. Ms. Jung was waiting for me at the elevator doors as soon as I was ready to step out.
"Good, I'll be your help and guide for your first day. Since Soo-Jin has to be in school until 2 in the afternoon, I'll be your help until we can find someone else to take over. Now first, we need to come up with a concept for their new comeback..." She was talking and walking with me guiding me through the office while handing me papers. Most of them were translated to english for my sake, and were prettyeasy to follow through.
"That's alright. To follow an idea of what the concept is though, I need to listen to at least a demo." I said to her while writing down some notes on the drawn models I had in my hands.
"That's no issue... just head down to the 8th floor and ask for Hong-Joong, he's the team leader and head producer. He should have some ideas and concepts ready for you. Now this will be your office." She opened the door to a gorgeous, penthouse like office. All decorated to how I would've done it. I was sincerely starstruck.
"Wow. Ok. Tell the boys that I'll need them in the conference room in 20 minutes to take their measurements. And talk styling points." I told Jung.
"Right away Ms. Hart."
"Y/N, please. I don't do formalities like that." I said so she could relax. We looked like the same age anyway so being called Miss, just seems really weird.
"Then, I'm Ji-Hyeon." She said smiling to me while closing the door to my office. My office. I still couldn't believe what I was saying. I sat in my chair and did some twirls before landing on my desk, as happy as I could ever be.

Really I just think it was kind of an odd writing choice to assign Optimus the white guilt "oh my race/predecessors were colonists that means I'm basically a tyrant too and all of us are cursed by our ancestors' sins" allegory when like. Out of the entire IDW1 cast he is far and away the character who has done the most to fight against colonialism. He fought for 4 million years trying to stop Megatron and then continued to help Earth even after the war was over. The man personally murdered Nova Prime and Galvatron with his bare hands even (aka two of the greatest leaders of the Golden Age, the era when all that colonialism OP gets shoved onto his shoulders actually fucking happened). And not only that, he's also one of the few Cybertronians who genuinely see human beings (and other organics) as equal species with no reservations whatsoever, which is a sentiment that pretty much only Rewind matched when he said "Megatron never existing would have sucked for Cybertron but it would've saved billions of lives in the rest of the galaxy and maybe that's more important." (And also Arcee, who was around for the Golden Age and literally participated in said colonialism, saying that was a shitty era she regrets taking part in.)
Like for fuck's sake, in the same GI Joe/Transformers crossover where Windblade is lecturing Optimus about how bad he is for going against the rulings of the government and taking the law into his own hands, almost literally the entire Council of Worlds was openly calling humans weaklings who couldn't possibly be a credible threat against Cybertron and saying shit like 'I mean, they only live a few decades, if a bunch of them die it's not like it's a big deal.'
Optimus was literally out there willing to trash his own reputation and be seen as a tyrant both in the eyes of humanity and his own people, just to do everything he could to protect Earth from one in a long line of invasions/exploitations/transgressions against Earth as well as organics across the galaxy in general. Like sorry, I'm not going to stop seeing that as admirable (if in a tragic/misguided/flawed way) no matter how many characters call Optimus a fascist manipulative liar, and I'm not going to ignore how Optimus is one of the most anti-racist characters in the whole story just bc someone wanted to slap him with the colonizer allegory.
#squiggposting#like idk OP did do bad things but it's more annoying when he gets blamed for shit#that either wasnt his fault or that he actively tried to prevent and just failed in doing#idw op love

giselle & her timeline ✦ edits by me
if you don't know who giselle is, she's a transfem version of aiden i came up with for a hss au (the same au my oc darlene comes from, she's also dating darlene) that i've had in mind for quite some time but never really posted about it
also, hope yall don't mind that i literally just used a dakota winchester base for her 😭 i did think about using aiden for upper face and dakota for lower face, but i feel like just this base would make a great f!aiden feel free to correct me if i'm wrong
(under the edits are a lot of semi drabble headcanons that i swear i didn't mean to write that long but i couldn't stop myself 😭)
book 2, winter formal outfit —
(here koh had been helping her physically transition all the way since book 1, but i'm starting from book 2 because that's when she comes out to her parents, meaning the winter formal is the first time she ever wears feminine clothing in public)
Giselle: "Everyone... hope I'm not late."
Darlene: [jaw drops] "Gi, you look like..."
Emma: "...a princess."
Myra: "A literal princess! Girl, you look like you're 5 seconds away from singing about letting it go." [Giselle rolls her eyes at Myra]
Michael: "Where'd you even get that dress from?"
Giselle: "Ah, this is my mom's prom dress from the 90s. She heard the words winter formal and begged me to try it on. I told her 'no, mom, it's fine, I can wear a suit if you want me to', since... you know, she's not used to seeing me in stuff like dresses and skirts yet, but she practically shoved me into this dress."
Darlene: [holding Giselle's hand] "She made the right choice."
book 3, spring casual appearance —
Giselle: "I... tried doing something with my hair. I hope it looks good, because I really don't want to go back to my old hair."
Caleb: "It does look good on you, but why the face?"
Giselle: [surprised] "What face?"
Maria: "You don't really look like you like it. Do you regret getting your hair done?"
Giselle: "No, it's not the hair..."
Emma: "Then what is it? Your clothes?"
Giselle: [nods] "Mmhm. My parents bought me these. I don't want to be ungrateful because... my parents support me enough to buy me clothes, and there are plenty of trans kids out there whose parents don't even want them in their home. But..."
Darlene: "But what?"
Giselle: "I don't like this style they're assigning me. It reminds me too much of my old self. And I don't just want to be the same person I was before, but in girl form."
Sydney: "Are you saying you'd like to try a new style?"
Darlene: "You'd look good in anything, Gi. No matter if it's girly, tomboyish, alternative, or even country girl."
Myra: [laughs] "Imagine that... 'Yeehaw, my captain!'"
Michael: "Myra, cowboys don't have captains. That's pirates."
Giselle: [giggles] "Ezra is trying to get me to join the dark side and turn into a grunge girl. I don't think I want that, really, but I do feel like I want to make a statement now... Is there an alternative style that's girlier but still eye catching, without any spikes or chains or ripped fishnets?"
Maria: "...I think there is."
book 3, prom outfit —
Cameron: "Giselle! Hey, wait up!"
Giselle: "Huh? Ah, hey there. What did you need?"
Cameron: "Nothing much, I just wanted to congratulate you."
Giselle: "Me...? What for?"
Cameron: "What not for? You're one of the strongest and most talented people I know. I might have known you for only three months, but I know this year has been a wild ride for you. You've been through pretty much everything and still manage to come out on top. I'm... really proud of you."
Ezra: "We all are."
Giselle: [blushes] "Oh, I... thank you... Normally I like compliments and-- and even look for them myself, but I just... don't know what to say for this one." [Cameron and Ezra laugh]
Cameron: "I have to say, you're kind of my role model. Not just because of all your talents in band, but also, I wish I could've figured myself out like you did. It took me years to figure out my identity, let alone how I wanted to present myself."
Giselle: "Speaking of that... I'm sorry, everyone, but I've been thinking about this for a while, and I... don't think I want to be in band anymore."
[everyone's jaw drops]
Myra: "What?! Girl, what's gotten into you?"
Giselle: "Don't get me wrong, I still love music! Who would I be if I didn't? But... composing, instruments, band, I want to leave all of that behind. I don't know if permanently... I hope not, but at least for now I want to focus on something else."
Ezra: "Something else as in what?"
Giselle: "...Promise you all won't laugh? [everyone nods] Well, as in... performance? Not performing as in playing songs, but performing as in--"
Cameron: "Dancing?"
Giselle: "Mmhm. When the year started, I was not only super insecure of myself but also an awful dancer, and Darlene helped me with both of those things. I want to try incorporating it into my life... for her and for myself."
summer break appearance —
Giselle: "Hey everyone! I brought popsicles."
Darlene: "Oh... my."
Sydney: "That is the most sparkly outfit I've ever seen you in."
Myra: "And also the most pink. I thought you didn't even like pink, what happened to you?"
Giselle: [shrugs] "Maybe I was just in the mood for something different. Remember spring quarter, when I told you all about wanting to find my style and all that? Well... I'm pretty sure I found it."
Emma: "You did? Please tell us all about it, Gi!"
Giselle: "So I'm reading about this fashion subculture that lets girls go all out. I'm talking super flashy clothes and hair, so many cute accessories, and their makeup is so pretty... they even have hangout spaces just for them!"
Sydney: "Really?"
Giselle: "Yeah, it's called gal... I can't believe I didn't know this existed before! Now I want to become one, and I'm not sure where to even start."
Michael: "Giselle, you're drooling."
Maria: "No, she's not."
Michael: "But she's about to be if no one stops her."

Celebrating Black Queer Icons:
Lucy Hicks Anderson
Lucy Hicks Anderson was born in 1886 in Waddy, Kentucky. Anderson is known as a socialite and chef that became well known in Oxnard, California from 1920 to 1946. She became the first black trans woman to defend her identity in a US courts. From an early age Anderson identified as a girl. On advice from doctors, Anderson's parents accepted and supported this. Anderson would attend school in gender affirming clothing, such as dresses, under a name of her own choosing, Lucy. At the age of 15 Anderson left school and began supporting herself through domestic work. At 20 Anderson moved to Pecos, Texas where she worked in a hotel. Anderson next moved to New Mexico, where she met her first husband, Clarence Hicks, in 1920. At age 34 Anderson, and her then husband, moved to Oxnard, California. Anderson proved herself a skilled chef and baker, winning some contests. Anderson's marriage to Hicks eventually ended in divorce. After which Anderson used money she had saved during the marriage to purchase a boarding house. The boarding house served as a front for a brothel, and the sale of alcohol during prohibition. Outside her time as a Madame and managing a boarding house, Anderson also became a well known socialite and hostess. Connections made during this time would prove fruitful during Anderson's subsequent legal troubles. It is said that Charles Donlon, a prominent banker, helped get her out of jail, after her initial arrest, on the grounds that he was hosting a significant dinner party that would have fallen apart without Anderson's involvement. In 1944 Anderson married her second husband, Reuben Anderson. About a year later, in 1945, a sailor claimed to have received a sexually transmitted infection from one of the women working in Anderson's brothel. This led to all women working there being subject to medical examination, including Anderson. When the Ventura County DA was informed that Anderson was assigned male at birth he chose to charge her with perjury on her marriage license. During this trial Anderson would utter the famous lines "I defy any doctor in the world to prove that I am not a woman." and "I have lived, dressed, acted just what I am, a woman". Anderson was ultimately convicted of perjury and sentenced to 10 years probation and her marriage license was deemed invalid. This also led to the Federal Government to charge Anderson with fraud, based on her receiving spousal rights from the GI Bill. Lucy and Reuben Anderson where both found guilty and sentenced to a men's prison. Anderson was forbidden by the court to wear women's clothing during this time. After their release Lucy and Reuben Anderson moved to Los Angeles, California where they lived quietly until her death in 1954, at the age of 68. Debra A Harley and Pamela B Teaster's (editors) Handbook of LGBT Elders (link to Archive.org copy of text) notes Anderson as "one of the earliest documented cases of an African-American transgender person". Anderson is the subject of the 2nd episode of HBO's Equal, where she is portrayed by actress Alexandra Grey.
This was definitely one of the more informative of these write ups, for me. I was familiar with both the quotes Anderson made during her trial, but didnt know anything about the woman. Wilmer "Little Axe" Broadnax has been mentioned in several of these end notes, so he is definitely next. I think i pretty much have the rest of these planned out, but as always, corrections and suggestions are welcome and desired.
