HEAD HEART HANDS: “TURNING A NEW PAGE”
Charlotte is hardwired for realism. It’s a hefty task, given the present company and the dubious physics that have kept them all alive for the past few years, but if a resume could receive an A+, her feats in risk assessment and time-sensitive innovation deserved it. Charlotte would know; she installed the updates herself. Still, with the leader of their trio absent and Jasper dealing with impossibilities on the side, the biggest challenge these days is seeing eye-to-eye.
[ Jasper and Charlotte discuss Henry’s leave of absence, as well as his radio silence. ]
The mythology of Greek craftsman, inventor, and architect Daedalus has been cited by a variety of sources, including Homer, Pliny the Elder (Pliny’s Natural History, AD 77-79), and Plato, the latter of which interpreted his inventory and intellect as a parallel for the pursuit of truth. Pliny credited him with the invention of carpentry, as well as ship sails and masts, in addition to sculptures so lifelike they may as well have been animated; his genius was so evident that life was born into the wood. The most famous of his feats, however, was the tale of wings constructed out of wax, and the fall of his son, Icarus, into the sea.
It’s one thing to live in pursuit of knowledge. It’s not like that’s a bad thing, per se. Plenty of people do, and are perfectly content people with no lingering emotional or psychological hangups. That being said, the itch of knowing and the object of doing are not the same. For doctors who treat the sick in the morning and the engineers who study maths to reach the moon, knowledge alone is poor sustenance. For years—too early—invention has been a means of civic duty. She is too clever to fall into the sea unplanned, but she’s not heartless. She’ll make them wings, and a parachute. She left Harvard and the future she’d made for herself to follow the people she loved. Love—to the point of modification. To the point of invention.

Being completely serious but we need to add basic street parking safety as part of driver’s ed. My 10 minute drive to the grocery store is 100% fairly busy narrow streets with parking on both sides (that’s what most of the Boston area is tbh) and this morning alone I saw:
Someone sitting in the driver’s side with the door open and THEIR LEG HANGING OUT while scrolling on their phone
Someone loading a few boxes into their car from the street side instead of the sidewalk
Someone standing on the driver’s side, taking off their very heavy backpack, and then struggling to lift it over into the passenger side while their legs dangled out
Someone almost opening their door into a biker and then doing it AGAIN immediately after
And this happens literally every time I drive here it’s insane. This isn’t a “ooo the world is big and scary you have to be aware at all times or someone’s gonna getcha” post but like also. maybe don’t actively try to get hit by cars and/or maim people on bikes. Do as much as you can from the sidewalk/passenger side of your car. Get in and out as quickly as you can when you’re on a heavily trafficked road. Check for bikers and pedestrians before opening your door. Don’t dangle your limbs into the street like bait for distracted drivers and oversized trucks. The simple things.

"For my brothers with Daughters, I call This..."
Whenever I think about the origin of my journey into photography, I remember the 2 main reasons for picking up a camera. One was to document the sneakers I wore daily with the intention of sharing the photos on a popular online sneaker forum called NikeTalk.
The second and more important reason was to document my family. After realizing that my parents photo albums have a significant gap in photos of me and my brother, I vowed to take on the responsibility of documenting my family.
So naturally (especially in this modern world we're living in) when I became a father 10 years ago, I was reminded of that vow.
There's very few people if any at all that I enjoy taking photos of more than my own daughters!
I mean, it's super obvious why, right? My babies are the most beautiful people on this planet. With smiles that melt my heart and hugs that would make a grizzly bear jealous. Lol.
I've made it my business to get millions of photos of them not only on film but on my phone and digital cameras as well.
I've been a photographer for 15 years now! In that time I've gotten a large sum of photos of my family and the ones of my babies are easily my favorite. I tend not to share photos of them too often because I see them as treasures that should be protected at all cost. So I say that to say, this post is being made with the intention of giving you, the reader a treat! Lol
It was 2015 when I first picked up an analog camera. Six years after deciding I wanted to be a photographer. At the time my oldest was a curious 1 year old. It's been an honor to watch her grow into the lovely young woman she is becoming.
The youngest (the leader of our pack) wasn't even thought of yet, but she caught up and became manager of the family very quickly. Lmao.
Some of my photos are blurry, and some were exposed wrong, but that's ok! At the very least I know I have the memories of my children in my head. These prints that accompany my thoughts are just a bonus!!
Hope ya Enjoy!

Sukuna—being a tough guy—always had a rough exterior; but when it came down to his daughter? Ah, he could loosen up a bit. Especially now that school was starting up, his cortisol levels were starting to go through the roof.
"Do you have your water bottle?"
"Uh huh."
"What about your lunch box?"
"You packed it for me."
"Where's your backpack?"
"Daddy!" the little girl giggled. "It's on my back!" And as if to give a proof, she twirled around to show that the glittery rainbow backpack was, indeed, on her back.
You put a hand on Sukuna's arm, laughing, "Honey, you're making it sound as if our baby's going on an expedition to Antarctica."
Sukuna, frowning, turned to you, "She might as well be. You don't know how dangerous Kindergarten can be."
"Oh yeah? Well, luckily, our girl is a tough one just like her daddy, isn't she?" you pinched your daughter's chubby cheek.
In response, the girl let out a confident "mhm!" whilst pretending to flex her muscles.
After you dropped off your daughter at school, you turned to face your husband with a grin on your face. "See? Easy peasy. There was nothing for you to stress about, babe."
"No. No, you don't know how vicious these little five year olds can be. If I had to, I would—"
You covered Sukuna's mouth with your hand, "Don't tell me you would go beating up little kids."
"I don't care if they're fucking five," Sukuna removed your hand, "if they mess with my baby, I'll—"
You watched the widening eyes of nearby parents of said kids, and quickly interjected. "Okay, okay, I think that's enough. We should be going now," you laughed nervously, leading your husband to the parking lot.
"Do you want to hear what I'd do if someone made our little girl cry?" a very genuine Sukuna asked.
"Ryomen, please, let's not."
Okay, maybe Sukuna was still as rough as always.

based on this video. this idea has been rotting in my brain for some while :') dad gojo will always have a soft spot in my heart <3
a part of gojo's love entries
your baby’s first trip to aquarium was such a cute affair you were sure you wouldn’t forget anytime soon.
“waaa~” your baby’s eyes were gleaming with wonder as he gazed at the diverse array of colorful fishes above him, completely captivated by the view.
and your husband...
“aren’t they pretty, hmm?” satoru asked his adorable son with a grin, pecking his cheek and holding him snugly in the baby carrier against his chest, with a backpack of baby essentials strapped on his back.
he was the very vision of a domestic dad, and along with your son, who was dressed in a bear onesie, complete with two little ears, they made a really irresistible pair. even you couldn’t fault the crowd for staring at them.
“fwaa! waa~” your munchkin was squirming with joy, his tiny fingers stretching out towards the sight before him. satoru giggled, moving closer to the glass to give his baby a better view.
“look! that’s clownfish! and those wiggly flowers are anemone! and that is—”
he faltered at a fish passing in his view before deciding, “this— i don’t know, but it’s the clownfish’s friend!”
they are basically the same. your little boy and your husband, both of them clearly shared a brain cell as they happily pointed out different fishes.
“meh! hehe!” your baby babbled away, excited and incredibly happy in his father’s hold, and satoru too seemed to feel the same, as his eyes beyond that sunglasses crinkled.
“damn, my kid is so cute.”
suddenly he dived down and pretended to chew his pumpkin’s chubby cheeks, effectively making him squeal in glee.
and oh lord, the way your heart skipped a beat seeing that. it was so clear how much satoru adored your baby, and it made overwhelming warmth rush to your chest.
“he’s a good man,” an elderly lady beside you suddenly remarked, making you turn to her. “not many men do that for their kids.”
“he is…” you agreed with a shy smile.
“it’s a shame that you only have one baby,” the elderly man beside her—possibly her husband—added. “you’re still young and he is so good with them too.”
your heart swelled and would’ve already burst if it was possible. bashfully, you thanked the elderly pair as they went on their way.
and along the way, you received similar hushed comments and adoring looks—
“oh my! their baby is so cute!”
“how can such family exists?! the dad, mom, baby… all three of them are so good-looking!”
“such a hot dilf! can’t he divorce his wife and marry me instead? i’ll be his kid’s stepmother gladly!”
satoru pretended not to hear, but he clearly held back his laugh. you threw the school girl who carelessly blurted that a pointed look, making her scurry away.
and after the three of you were done walking around the aquarium, you stopped by the gift shop to get your baby his first fish pet.
your son suddenly became fussy, and satoru unclasped him from the carrier. “hmm? do you want mama?” he handed him over to you. “here, here~ mama wants to hold you too~”
as soon as your son was settled in your embrace, he giggled, and you couldn’t help but bounce him and coo. “do you have fun? you do, don’t you?”
it might not visible to others, but now satoru was staring at both of his reasons of being with literal stars in his eyes.
several years ago, he thought his life had stopped when his best friend negated his beliefs entirely, but you were there, holding his hand throughout it all. and then you married him— and then, you gave him a son to dote on.
you keep giving his life a new meaning. and he was thankful for that.
. . . meanwhile, you kept hearing whispers from a gaggle of girls in the next aisle, about how much of a dreamboat your husband in his blue shirt was and it was grating at your nerves so much that you pursed your lips into a total pout.
satoru thought you were the cutest, not even second to his baby, and he decided he wasn’t known for public decency anyway so he dived in and pecked your lips—dispelling any stray thoughts and making you flush in an instant.
“sato—!”
and before you could rebuke him, he whispered in your ear:
“so... baby number two, when?”
