HI EVERYONE! I'm so sorry I dropped off the face of the earth for a bit there. I was quite sick at the end of May/beginning of June with a major chronic disease flare up, and it's been near impossible to get back into my rhythm with writing fanfic, in part because...

I've signed a book deal!

Two books of mine will be coming out in 2026 (yes, publishing takes 7000 years) with a boutique publisher. They are reimagined versions of earlier AU fanfic works for mine with original characters in similar set ups, so they will look a bit familiar to you when they debut. I cannot tell you all how deeply grateful I am for your readership and encouragement. I think I have a superpower

So the buck being bi thing just made me realize something. I think I have a superpower. I just started watching the series as it comes out this season right, well this season is when they made buck canonically bi. This has happened before for me. I started watching supernatural as it came out on the last season. They made Cas and Dean Canon in the last season. I started watching teen Wolf as it came out on the last season, They made Lydia and stiles canon in the last season. I started watching Andy Mack in the last season. They made Cyrus and TJ canon in the last season. It’s happened other times too but those are the times it happened with the BIGGEST ships.

Headcanons of being the daughter of Gina and Ej

*You have an incredibly cheeky and clueless personality (That's why everyone loves you) *You were born to be the center of attention, you're a born star, but you don't get all fuss over it (your parents wouldn't allow it anyway) *You sing, dance and direct like your mother and have a talent for sports like your father *Your "uncles" have also influenced your skills, you write songs and play the piano like nini and ashley, you sing and design like kourtney, and you have the charisma of ricky and big red (only in your case you can also show it on stage) Unfortunately, you don't know how to choreograph like your uncle Carlos, nor have you been able to interpret the male version of something like your uncle Seb (you're not even a farmer). *You are a theater girl but you have "balance" you can be the protagonist, but also a secondary character with a really interesting background, an extra that appears only once on stage but devours with a solo, and sometimes you can even be found behind the scenes in charge of the organization *You love all your uncles, but Ricky is definitely your least favorite uncle, you can't forgive him for making your mom suffer for a while, or for almost spoiling your parents' "perfect summer". i just rewatched hsmtmts, too bad it got canceled after two seasons. it had so much potential, but i’m sure ej and gina had a happy ending and nobody broke up or cheated

It's 2024 and I'm still thinking about how Portwell got done SO dirty by the time crunch of the final two seasons and Tim's laser focus on Rina.

Because while I doubt Rini fans ever wanted a breakup there, at least it was a pretty well-written break-up. It was slow, steady, progressed logically from their character traits, and was treated with a significant amount of weight by the narrative when they did break up, with both of them given scenes to process and unpack.

Portwell by contrast...its fans had to watch as Gina uncharacteristically blew up at EJ for not being flawlessly transparent and then they broke up near the end of the season before there was even a proper ATTEMPT to talk about their struggles. And then neither got any screentime to process the relationship's end because Gina had to immediately switch gears with the 45 minutes left before Rina canon, and the writers cared so little about EJ that they "resolved" his Cash subplot and then banished him from the show for several episodes.

And when they finally brought him back AND made it seem like they were going to talk about Portwell? It was just more effort to hastily finish Rina's storyline because they were out of time. The two didn't even get to have a proper conversation until the SERIES FINALE, and they tried to turn it into a joke at Portwell's expense.

Like...I don't even go here. I'm Caswen trash, through and through, but even I'm offended for Portwell fans who at least deserved to have their couple's breakup treated with gravitas and consequence!
