I was wondering if you could do a toxic AU? One where like they're dating, but really bad for each other (like cheat on each other, make the other cry, or something just toxic) and they just can't let each other go. I know it would be kind if impossible because it's THEM, but because it's THEM, and they're obsessed with each other it kinda makes it possible😭
"She's here?!"
"Will you keep your voice down?" Gil attempted to shush Minerva, which of course only made her more upset.
She threw her purse to the ground. "Are you serious right now, Gilgamesh? First, you have some weird moment with Thena behind closed doors seconds before her wedding. Then, you stand and protest the marriage. And then you follow her after she runs off, and I have to find out she's in my home--our home?!"
"It's still my apartment, Minerva," he hissed at her, hand on his hip, solidly blocking the doorway to their bedroom. "You moved in with me, and Thena is my friend. What was I supposed to do, let her go back to that jackass's place alone?!"
"You don't bring the woman you're obsessed with into the apartment you share with your girlfriend!"
She was still in her wedding attire. So was he, suit still on, tie hanging around his neck loosely. "I am not obsessed with Thena."
But she dug her heels in, pointing up in his face. "You are. I should have listened when my friends told me what a red flag it was that you couldn't let go of her, even when she got engaged. I wanted to believe you when you said you weren't in love with her!"
"I never said that."
She reared back as if he'd struck her. "You what?"
"You never asked if I was in love with Thena, you asked if I was cheating on you with her," he clarified, even knowing what he'd get for it. "Which I didn't."
Her slap held nothing back, cracking against his cheek in the otherwise silent apartment.
It stung. "Okay, I deserve that."
"And more," Minerva choked, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Why the hell would you do this? Why did you agree to move in with me? I thought you were going to propose."
He kept his face passive. She didn't want any more lies, and he was tired of lying to her. "I figured 'why not?', that's why."
She stumbled back again. "Was-Was anything you've ever told me in our relationship true?"
"Yes."
"You fucking liar!"
"I'm not lying," he insisted. "I never lied. You asked if I'm obsessed with Thena, I'm not. You asked if I was cheating on you--if I would ever cheat on you with her, and I wouldn't! And Thena would never do that to you either."
"Maybe that's the worst part," she laughed coldly. "Why did she pretend to be my friend all this time?"
"She didn't pretend," he stated so straightforward he was starting to sound like Thena. "She doesn't pretend to like people, I told you. She wasn't lying when she told me she liked you, which you kept insisting was some mean, backhanded lie."
No, instead it was her boyfriend who was lying (according to her). Minerva swiped at her tears, dragging the mascara off her cheeks. "So, you're not cheating on me, you just brought the woman you've loved your entire life home after her failed wedding out of kindness."
Gil sighed. "That's right."
Minerva's tears began anew. Her petite shoulders folded in on themselves, her dark hair tumbling around her in long curls. "You love her."
She deserved this much--the real, whole truth. "Yes."
"You've always loved her," Minerva continued to ask questions he knew she wouldn't like the answers to. "The whole time?"
He stood up straight, dragging his tie off completely. He didn't really like orange, but Minerva insisted they match. "From the first day I met her when we were kids."
"Then why wouldn't you just go be with her?" Minerva demanded, even pointed to the bedroom door where her unseen enemy was lying in wait (according to her).
But he shrugged. He had asked himself these questions for a long time, the answers didn't have any pain left in them. "Because our lives went in different directions. Because we've always been best friends--too good to complicate it. We knew it wouldn't have worked when we were young so why try and break our own hearts?"
It seemed her tears were drying quickly the colder her eyes became. She crossed her arms at him. "So, you've always been in love with her. And you dated me anyway."
"Yes."
"But not everything you told me was a lie?" she scoffed. "And you expect me to believe that?"
"It doesn't matter if you believe it or not." She flinched again, and he did feel bad. He did care for this woman--they had been together for two years. "I never lied to you, Minerva. But don't ask me to choose between you and her."
Because he would choose her. He was choosing her over his girlfriend standing in front of him right now. "I see."
He crossed his arms as well, still planted in front of the door. "I'm not sending her to some hotel. Her brother and Phastos and Ben are probably helping get her stuff out of Eros' place as we speak. Once I know she's safe and has a place to go, you can come and get your stuff."
"That's it?" She was done--the line was cut, the bridge burned and floating down the river.
"Yeah," he also deflated. He didn't think what he was doing was noble by any means. And he deserved every horror story Minerva would tell about her nightmare ex who was always in love with his friend he had told her not to worry about.
Well, she wouldn't have had to if Thena had gotten married. If she had never told him that she couldn't go through with marrying Eros because she had always loved him. She was guilty of that, but he could bear that sin for the both of them.
"Fine," Minerva stated finally, drying the last of her tears.
"I can leave you the apartment, if you want," he added lamely. He really didn't want to.
"Don't offer me your pity," she spat back at him, and he admired her for it. "I don't need a homewrecker's space."
He was a homewrecker, that would stick with him. But he still couldn't bring himself to regret so long as he knew Thena was lying on his bed, crying.
"Go to hell," she hissed at him, picking her purse up and not even bothering to take anything on her way out. "You and your precious Thena."
"Watch it," he grumbled back at her. She could curse his name for generations to come, fine. But he wouldn't let her speak badly of Thena.
That was the last straw, and she slammed the door behind her as hard as she could.
Two years of his life, down the drain. It was a happy relationship, for the most part. She had always excitedly wanted to advance their relationship, take new steps together (like moving in). But looking around the empty apartment, he didn't care. She could come and take the furniture she had picked out that he didn't like, she could take all the stuff on the walls. She could take the stuff that wasn't hers if she wanted. What mattered wasn't out here.
Gil opened the door gently. Thena was sitting up on the bed, a towel around her shoulders and wearing the old shirt he had left out for her to wear. Her wedding dress was lying unceremoniously and disdainfully piled outside the bathroom. "I didn't like that dress either."
Her voice was hoarse as she looked at it. "His mother insisted."
He sat beside her, taking her hand in his, "forget it. Forget her, and her asshole son--never think about them again."
Thena looked at him, turning those big green eyes on him that always made him forget the entire rest of the world around him. Her eyes filled with tears. "She deserves better."
She was talking about Minerva. But he brought her hand up to his lips, "I know."
"She deserves to hate us," she whispered, her lip trembling.
"Probably," he brushed off, focused on pulling her big, ugly, stupid engagement ring off her. She didn't like it anyway--it was just one garishly ugly stone on a tiny band. It was always getting caught on things, always getting turned around on her thin little finger. She hated the attention it drew.
The ring tumbled and rolled as Gil tossed it away.
"I shouldn't have said anything."
"No," he whispered, still kissing each of her fingers. Either way it was true; no, she shouldn't have said anything, but no, he didn't want her to say that now, either.
"We always said we shouldn't do this," she whispered back, crying freely as he weaved their fingers together.
"I know," he conceded as he finally leaned in to kiss her. It was the worst time to do it. They were both crying, it was the worst day of her life, and both of their lives were about to never be the same because of it.
But Thena kissed him back, and they kissed like they had always been doing it. "Why couldn't you tell me earlier not to marry him?"
He laughed, although there wasn't much genuine mirth in it. There wasn't much in her smile, either. "Why couldn't you tell me you loved me sooner?"
She laughed as well, just as sadly. She tilted her head as he swiped her tears away with his thumb. "We're both terrible. We got this wrong, right from the beginning, didn't we?"
"Yeah," he kissed her again, more softly, more sweetly. "But I won't anymore."

I Get a Sugar Rush Whenever I’m With You - Chapter 4.3
Happy weekend fellow Drukkari stans, or whatever day it is for you! Took longer than I hoped, but I am here with the end of Chapter 4! If you missed the last installment and need to catch up, you can find that here, or start over from the beginning here. We have reached the end of '70s week, and Detective Makkari has her eye on Thenamesh. What will they uncover this time? Find out now in the next mini-chapter of Drukkari in the Great British Bake Off!
Tumblr media
The final challenge of the week went surprisingly well for Druig, considering how often he found himself distracted by Makkari. She remained determined to facilitate Thena and Gilgamesh’s budding relationship, even if she still had no idea how to go about it. The result of this was simply Makkari watching the two of them like a hawk and alerting Druig and Sersi whenever she witnessed something cute, regardless of whether the cameras were rolling. In the three hours they had to complete their bakes that week, Druig had spotted at least fourteen pointed looks from Makkari as she tried to alert him and Sersi to some new development without letting Thena or Gil catch on. While Gil hadn’t appeared to notice, Druig wasn’t so sure they had escaped Thena’s attention. His suspicions soon proven correct.
Following judgment time, he found himself waiting for his interview along with the stoic blonde. Despite being at the end of the fourth week, he still hadn’t really talked to her. He was almost certain he was being rude by not talking to her now, being the only two in the waiting area at present. That said, Thena’s judgment hadn’t gone very well at all, and he wasn’t sure if she was in the mood to make casual conversation with someone she barely knew. But just as Druig’s mind was jumping through hoops to justify his silence, Thena broke right through it with a surprising phrase: “You can just ask, you know.”
Druig nearly jumped out of his skin at the interruption to his train of thought. “What?”
“About me and Gilgamesh,” she replied nonchalantly. At his stunned silence, she continued, “I know you and Makkari have been watching us. Possibly Sersi as well.”
“Sorry about that. We didn’t mean to make you or Gil… uncomfortable,” he said, treading carefully with his choice of words. To his astonishment, Thena actually cracked a smile at his response.
“Oh, we’re not uncomfortable. If anything, it’s amusing how subtle Makkari thinks she’s being,” she said, which made Druig smile at the memory of her barely contained smiles during the competition today. “You still haven’t asked.”
Makkari would be sad to have missed this, but Druig wasn’t sure he’d get the opportunity to speak one-on-one with Thena again, so he asked, “What’s the deal with you and Gilgamesh?”
“We’re old acquaintances. I trained with him briefly early in my career,” she explained. “He invited me out for coffee once, but I had an overseas gig. Then another. After the third, I ended up moving there for a few years. I moved back eventually, but before I knew it, years had passed, and between all the moving around, we’d lost touch.”
“So, you didn’t see each other again until now?”
“Yes. It seems we both took up the same hobby.”
Druig hummed in response and weighed his next question carefully. He wasn’t sure if it was too nosy to ask, but then again, Thena had prompted him to do so, and she was eyeing him knowingly now. So he continued, “And did you two go for that cup of coffee yet?”
While she didn’t seem at all surprised by the question, she still took some time to consider her answer. “I’m not sure if coffee from the hotel really counts. Beyond that, he hasn’t brought it up. I think he might be waiting.”
“For what?”
“For one of us to get eliminated. I’m not sure if they allow contestants to date.”
“Oh,” was all he could think to say.
“I suppose after today’s performance, he may not need to wait much longer,” she continued. Druig realized a beat too late that he should probably object to this statement, assure her that everything would be alright, as Thena asked, “Not even going to try to tell me it wasn’t that bad?”
“Sorry, thought it might sound patronizing,” he muttered.
“You’d be right,” she replied before falling silent again.
After a moment, he awkwardly asked, “Are you sad about it?”
“A little, but at least I got to be here and intimidate the judges,” she responded with a small smile. “Besides, Gilgamesh is worth the wait, but I’m not the most patient person.”
Just then, they both noticed Darcy nearing the waiting area, and Thena stood up to go. Before she did, she turned back to him to say, “Thanks for not patronizing me, Druig. And I hope you’re a more patient person than I am.”
“What do you mean?” he asked, feeling his face screw up in confusion. Thena raised an eyebrow at him.
“You think I haven’t noticed the way you look at Makkari?”
Druig felt all of the blood rush to his face as he fought the urge to look anywhere else. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Thena merely smiled wryly and gave a satisfied hum before she went out to meet Darcy. Druig was left feeling suddenly very warm. It wasn’t that he didn’t know how he felt; he’d known he was a goner the moment he saw Makkari. That said, if anyone else had noticed, they hadn’t brought it up – Makkari included. At the thought of Makkari knowing, Druig was filled with an entirely different level of anxiety, but he pushed it down as he saw Darcy coming back to fetch him.
-
As Makkari had predicted, Ajak won Star Baker that week. And as Thena herself had predicted, she was going home. Their group tried to contain their enthusiasm, but they all agreed it was well-deserved and fitting that their matriarch should be the first of them to win. Even with all the excitement, Makkari’s eyes were still glued to Thena and Gilgamesh, who she spotted appearing to say their goodbyes for now. Despite how happy she was for Ajak, Druig could see how torn she was with Thena leaving. Of course, that changed on the train ride home when he relayed his and Thena’s conversation to her. He nearly keeled over laughing at the number of times her jaw dropped.
I can’t believe it! she signed, practically jumping out of her seat with joy. You really were right on the money again!
Is that so surprising? he asked in mock offense, at which she rolled her eyes.
No, but you may be the true detective after all, Watson. Not that anyone else needs to know, she answered with a smirk.
As you wish, Sherlock, he replied, unable to hide his own smile. So, what will you do now without a case to keep you occupied?
Focus on the actual competition, I suppose, she responded.
Really? No other potential matches you want to make?
Phastos is married and Sprite is a child. I think I’ve exhausted all matches amongst competitors.
All of them except us, Druig thought, though he didn’t dare sign it. While they continued to talk throughout the rest of the train ride, Druig couldn’t help but replay the end of his conversation with Thena in his head, a detail he had not shared with Makkari. Obviously, she’d seen right through him, but what had she actually meant when she told him to be patient? Did she simply mean to wait to ask Makkari out, or was there another meaning? He and Makkari had grown so close so quickly that he really wasn’t sure how to even go about asking her out, let alone whether he’d be breaking any rules in doing so. And although he hadn’t made much effort to hide his affection for her, he still wasn’t exactly sure of how she felt toward him. She certainly liked him as a friend, but beyond that, he couldn’t really say.
While he did feel there was something special about their friendship, he could say the same thing about all of Makkari’s friendships, at least the ones he’d seen. She seemed to have a unique bond with everyone in their group (apart from Dane, but he was still new). Who was to say if she had a romantic interest in any of them? She was quite invested in their love lives, but she’d never once said anything about her own except that she was single.
And all of that aside, Makkari really was a great friend. Druig’s circle of friends had always been small, which he didn’t mind. But now that Makkari was part of that circle, he was eager for her to stay there. Druig could definitely be patient, but he wouldn’t risk losing that for anything.
-
I'm sorry I wrote Thena out, she was fun to write while it lasted 😭😭😭 Anyway, I'm quite busy at the moment, so it may take a bit longer for the next installment to come out. In the meantime, likes, reblogs, and comments would be very appreciated!

I watched eternals and ok I have THOUGHTS so I’m putting it here and I’m in a cab frantically typing this so it’s basically unfiltered thoughts kay thanks
- it’s different. It got a very obvious mainstream look. It is still a high budget, heavy CGI or like “comic book hero’s” movie but the more I think about it, the less I find a movie from the last few movies in the MCU to compare it to. So, it’s still very super hero movie, just not like the MCU.
- it’s felt a bit like watching Captain America Civil War. We know all of them, and we know they’ve interacted with each other.
- Something felt incomplete, I think it’s the limited amount we know about each of the eternals on their own? But it’s not really a problem
- seeing Kit Harrington and Richard Madden interact, with a sersi involved? The GoT/SOIAF fan in my has died. KINGS OF THE NORTH BABY!!!
SPOILERS-ish AHEAD
- Ikaris’s storyline was somewhat unpredictable, but also if the fate of his character is sealed, I just need to see what they do.
He’s also hilarious and Richard Madden has wonderful comedic timing
Also, seeing a super hero cry. Shed tears. Kill him self because he loves Sersi too much to kill her, but I’m not killing her is going against everything he believes in? I love Ikaris he is my favourite idiot boy.
- as a desi, everything about Kingo just… worked. PROPER HINDI BEING SPOKEN HAS SAVED ME AND I DONT EVEN LIKE HINDI!!!??? & THE dance sequence, the BHARATNATAYAM?? 12 year old me would learn that choreography in 5 min flat. 22 year old me will need an hour but I know I can do it.
HE SAID DISHOOM. DISHOOM.
- Sprite is such a fucking mood. Her relationship with Dane??? With Kingo?? Kingo and Dane need to meet now too, properly.
The illusions
Also when Kingo said he worked in the movies because he missed Sprite’s story telling
- Thena, my moon and stars and my favourite goddess of war. I want to hug u and hold ur hand and kiss ur knuckles baby you are loved. She can do no wrong and will do no wrong
- GILGAMESH DESERVES BETTER. I’ve concluded that Gilgamesh is a fun house husband who would make the best dad jokes. Also thena and Gil are my only OTP from the eternals. When he dies, the fkn crying.
- When Thena killed the Deviant, everyone in the room felt so much fkn relief. She’s so cool
- I really love Gilgamesh and thena so much. On their own and together
- Salma Hayek did such a WONDERFUL job, the mothering and the nurturing. GOD
- PHASTOS!!! Hilarious & romantic and a good father!! Dude just seeing him KISS A MAN on the big screen?? A MAN OF COLOUR!! GAY MEN KISS IS A MARVEL FILM GODDAMN IT. and the way he talks about his HUSBAND BEN? Wonderful. This is essentially the exchange between him and other eternals
“I thought u lost all hope in humanity”
“They remind me that there’s good left”
- Druig is a himbo I think. I like him. If I could control the minds of people, I too would contemplate taking over humanity to get rid of greed and violence etc etc
- Makkari and Druig are cute. I want more Makkari content because She is so fun. She is every quirky incorrect Marvel quote but in actuality. Also something about her signing her words brings in so much personality to her whole character
- HARRY STYLES IS EROS CONFIRMED
- MY BABY MANS DANE WHITMORE IS BACK
Overall? Imma need to watch it again to decide how much I love it but it’s a 3/5.

Eternals Spoilers Ahead!!
So I am feeling the need to pick up my shield and defend my beautiful ship of Ikaris x Sersi. I’ve seen quite a few comments about this screenshot:
Tumblr media
People talking about the body language in it and how it shows that the relationship is toxic. Whilst I appreciate that everyone has their own opinion that they are entitled to and that people interpret things differently, I am going to politely explain why I strongly, very strongly disagree.
Firstly there’s the issue that this is a screenshot from a scene that doesn’t even make it into the movie and therefore we don’t know the context of the scene. The other is like I said its a screenshot which can be very misleading. Here is a gif from the same scene.
Tumblr media
I’ve seen some people saying that in this moment Sersi is looking scared or nervous and this is because Ikaris is showing intimidating body language and to be honest when I read that I was just like what? I mean follow Sersi’s eyeline, she is looking directly at his lips, as he pulls her closer and their bodies press together her mouth opens slightly. Our girl isn’t scared or nervous, she’s horny. This is what you call sexual tension, its a classic ‘oh are they about to kiss moment’ and its very clear from the direction of her gaze that Sersi wants him to kiss her.
Also I find this idea that Ikaris tries to intimidate or dominate Sersi really funny because anyone who has watched the movie knows that man is a bumbling awkward fool whenever he’s around Sersi, I’m sorry but its true, he’s about as far from intimidating as it gets, my dude isn’t even smooth he’s a tongue tied lovesick mess about 90% of the time that he spends with her. I mean look at the way he looks at her:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Does this guy look intimidating to you because he just looks like a guy who is head over heels in love to me. There’s also this narrative being pushed that Ikaris was angry that Ajak didn’t choose him instead of Sersi and that he kept undermining Sersi’s leadership. Again really don’t agree with that and I do think this is being wildly misinterpreted. If there was one thing that was as important to Ikaris as the mission it was that he didn’t want Sersi to suffer with the knowledge of the emergence, he says to her ‘I wanted you to leave this world in peace, without knowing about the emergence. But I failed. I wish Ajak hadn’t chosen you.’ Ikaris was so determined to make sure Sersi wasn’t burdened by the knowledge that he even went so far as leaving her. Ikaris wasn’t angry that Ajak didn’t choose him he was angry that she had chosen Sersi, but not because he didn’t think Sersi would be a good leader or that she was less than him but because Ajak choosing Sersi ensured she would find out about the emergence and that would break her heart.
As for undermining her I don’t see that either. Sure he makes suggestions on what they should do next but he always defers to Sersi. For example when they are in australia with Thena and Gil and have just found out about the emergence Ikaris says they need to go and once everyone is back together they can decide what to do about the emergence, but then a nods at Sersi making sure that she is ok with that and deferring to her as she is the leader, she nods back agreeing with his plan. The same thing happens later when Ikaris tells her he is worried about Arishem finding out she is trying to stop the emergence, after she explains that she believes the violent cycle has to end he nods, once again deferring to her. It’s actually the other eternals really that undermine Sersi’s leadership by constantly bringing up or joking about Ajak not choosing Ikaris indicating that they all assumed that Ikaris would be the new leader if something happened to Ajak. Both Kingo and Sprite turn to Ikaris when they don’t agree with Sersi, they want to know his opinion showing that they value his opinion over Sersi’s. In this moment Ikaris says that Ajak chose Sersi and that it was Sersi’s decision. Sprite outright said at that point that she didn’t care who Ajak chose that Ikaris should be the leader. So whilst yes some did undermine Sersi’s leadership it wasn’t really Ikaris. He does go against her at the end but that is because he believed in the mission not because he thinks he is better than Sersi or doesn’t think she is leader material.
As for the screenshot that started this all I feel like there are alot of other screenshots that can be used to represent the ship for example this one from their wedding day:
Tumblr media
or this one where they are just about to kiss at their wedding and you can see the smiles on their faces:
Tumblr media
Or if you really need to use one from a deleted scene either one of these:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So in conclusion, I love Ikersi and I think they have the softest, sweetest dynamic and I really hope they release some of their deleted scenes.

SPOILERY ETERNALS REVIEW/THOUGHTS UNDER THE CUT PLEASE?? 💖
your wish is my command. i'm so sorry this became 1k.
okay, so. i'll put together a likes/dislikes list and then conclude with my overall opinions. why am i writing this like the last sentence of my intro paragraph for a uni paper asdfgh
what i fucked with:
so much representation!!! a little gay family and an emotional homosexual onscreen kiss with one of the main characters!! hell fckin yeah! a deaf main character?? YES!! the beautiful bollywood scene!!! the main main character being an asian woman when it could have been any of the other white and/or male characters?? YESYESYES!! that made me very happy
the costume design was amazing, as was the set design. i did read that eternals was filmed more onsite than marvel films usually are, which is great. it was a gorgeous movie to watch
also cause everyone in it is so gorgeous?? richard madden? gemma chan? angelina jolie? be still my beating heart
i really loved how all the eternals had different powers, and how they complimented each other. it was really cool to watch the way they fought together
the relationship between thena and gil was everything.
sersi's ringtone is juice by lizzo
i also think the concept of sprite and her age issues was really well done. i found her annoying at the end but that was kind of the point, i can't imagine how frustrated she must have been
karun. just, karun.
the fuckin. oh my god. the ikea table joke. my friend and i DIED. that is a contender for funniest marvel joke of all time
i think the concept of the movie was actually kinda really dope and interesting. like, the idea that celestials are born of intelligent life and that's why the eternals were sent to protect human life and serve this greater purpose? cool. it felt original and interesting, and didn't content too much with existing marvel lore.
what was maybe kind of wack:
we saw the movie at 20:45, and the movie theatre didn't serve popcorn after 20:00 because of some inconsistent dutch covid rules and so we couldn't have popcorn. this has nothing to do with the movie but it made me sad so it's going in here anyway
this didn't bother me as much as it did my bestie -- i obviously facetimed her as soon as i got home -- but she was right in pointing out that there was a bit of a problem with the lack of chronology. sometimes the flashback scenes weren't indicated as such soon enough, but mostly the problem was how this influenced the building of characters and relationships
because all of the backstory (just of the characters and their developing relationships) isn't until later in the movie, it's harder to care about them until then. they want us to mourn a relationship and mourn a character before we even know them
which is part of the reason i didn't find ikarus and sersi that convincing. i did ship them in the beginning, but my bestie didn't at all. they tell us they're in love without first showing us how they fell in love, and when they do show us, it's in a few short basic scenes
(also, this isn't necessarily bad but ? a sex scene? in a marvel movie?? i don't know her)
but yeah, i think that not only their relationship, but the relationships between all of them would have been more convincing with more initial scenes of them just bonding and joking around and being a family. we only got references to that, and then the scenes where they're all yelling at each other
which ties to what i would have loved: a montage scene with fun music that shows what they were all up to through the ages. apart from that one short hiroshima scene, all we got was modern day and BC. i want to see phastos finally invent the steam engine! i want sersi in a flapper dress! i want ikaris to be madden back in the kit from cinderella fit!! it also would have been a great way to let the audience get to know the characters better in order to fall in love with them, and a way for the relationships to develop
even though i shipped them, i wasn't invested enough in ikaris' and sersi's realtionship, which might be the crux of it. i liked dane too much and there wasn't enough set up for them. there's that writing rule about romance, and how a good romance is written in such a way that they don't need to kiss in order for you to realize it's romantic. they barely had that.
who was the villain? while i think it can be nice to have ambiguity, the fact that it kept switching around in this movie was a bit confusing. i sometimes forgot who they were fighting.
the really cheesy music over the dramatic moments was too much sometimes. i couldn't help but laugh when it was taking itself way too seriously
which leads me to my last point. they thought they were being so dramatic. they thought they were being so clever. they had ikaris fucking YEET himself into the sun after he messed up once (1), and i was laughing. it was fucking hilarious, and i know that that's not what they were going for. it your defining dramatic moment comes across as ridiculous, you fucked up
what is harry styles doing in the mcu. baby no, run while you can. i think he'll do a great job and i love him but i'll need some time because right now i don't wike it.
conclusion: 6.5/10
i was very much entertained and i had a good time and i fell in love with some characters, but i would have been more in love with them with just a few additional scenes. it was a beautiful movie to watch and had some absolutely hilarious anecdotes that made me laugh out loud. i wish i would have had popcorn. ikarus yeeting himself into the sun is ridiculous. the half point is for the ikea joke.

What are Eris’ relationships with the other eternals like?
AH ok I have a few of them completely thought out so that's what I'll get into;
Ajak — they used to be close, once. Before Eridis' memory is ruined and her existence as an Eternal is wiped away, she and Ajak got along rather well. Once they get to earth, though, Ajak is the only one that still remembers who Eridis is, while Eridis has no idea who she is herself, much less who the Eternals are. Any time Eridis speaks with Ajak she feels uneasy, as if Ajak knows something that she doesn't. Ajak tries her best to look out for Eridis in her own way, though.
Sersi — The Eternal Eridis feels most comfortable with aside from Druig. Sersi is kind to Eridis, and there is a point where Eridis truly feels that the two of them are friends. When Ajak dies Sersi learns of Eridis' identity, but chooses to keep it from the rest. There is a real betrayal there when Eridis learns that Sersi has kept this knowledge from her (and from the other Eternals).
Kingo — Eridis loves to tease the hell out of Kingo, memories or not. Kingo is kind of taken with her, though, and often teases her right back. The two of them always become friends throughout Eridis' reincarnations, often to Druigs' annoyance. Kingo just doesn't have a single bad bone in his body, which Eridis can really appreciate.
Gilgamesh — dearest darlingest man, before the mind wipe Eridis and Gil get along amazingly. Nobody really understands Eridis' willingness to sacrifice herself for Druig like Gilgamesh does. However, when she meets (re-meets?) him on earth, Eridis is terrified of Gilgamesh. She watches him singlehandedly take out one of the deviants, so when he walks up to introduce himself to her Eridis basically freezes—her fight or flight reflex is shit. They are never really given the time to build their friendship anew, sadly.
Other than that she gets along with Makkari, and with Thena as well (after she stops being scared of her), she goes back and forth with Sprite but they usually get along, as for her and Ikaris... they're not the best of pals. Haven't really fleshed it out yet but they don't like each other.

HI!!!
it’s been a long time since the last doctor au. Can we get something new, please?
Thena eyes the woman chatting up her Gilgamesh. He's making friendly conversation, she knows. But the woman is obviously aiming for more than just friendly, the way she keeps laughing and smiling and putting her hand on his arm.
She has no one to blame but herself, Thena knows. The hospital fundraiser has been scheduled for months, and she's the one insisting their relationship remain secret from their coworkers. And of course Gil agreed, because it's Gil.
But watching women be all over him all night has been one hell of a just desserts. She takes a sip of her drink. Gil catches her eye and makes a bit of a face. He shrugs, which fits into the woman's story enough that she doesn't notice. But he's apologising to her - Thena - for it.
But she has no one to blame but herself.
Maybe the secrecy is overrated. She looks over to the dance floor, where Sersi is happily tucked into her husband's embrace as they sway to the music. They seem to make it work. Thena doesn't know how someone as sweet as Sersi is with someone as bullheaded as the orthopaedic specialist himself. But maybe the same could be said of her and Gil.
Thena tosses back the last of her champagne and walks straight towards Gil's table. This is why people don't like her socially--she's overly direct, chilly, has no bedside manner when it comes to her colleagues. She stares at them, "mind if I cut in?"
"Uh, yeah?"
"Not at all," Gil smiles though, and it's all the assurance she needs. He even pulls out the chair next to him for her.
His visitor visibly and audibly scoffs and rolls her eyes. Thena thinks she recognises her from HR or accounting or some other level of administration. She gets up in a huff anyway. Thena seats herself, tugging her dress around without a thought to the delicacy of the material.
But Gil sorts out the skirt of it more nicely. He even lets his hand brush the side of her leg where the slit allows him to. He sneaks his eyes up to hers, "you look beautiful."
She's glad that woman got up in a huff as she feels her face warm up several degrees. "Nothing you haven't seen before."
Because he helped her get ready, after they'd had a few good rounds in her bed, and before arriving in separate cars. Still, he compliments her, because of course he does. He swirls his own champagne, looking quite smart in his dark green suit.
All the doctors are in tuxes, but she likes how this colour brings out his eyes.
"Are you making any good connections?" he asks, like any of their colleagues would. It's as much a night for them to have off as it is for them to schmooze wealthy benefactors into donating to the hospital.
"None," she deadpans, and he laughs from his belly in response. She loves his laugh. "You?"
He snorts and throws back the last of his flute. "No one even knows us."
"That's not true," she nudges his arm as she leans back in her chair in a very unladylike way. She gestures, "Kingo knows how to work a crowd."
True, the man of the hour is in the centre of a circle of people listening to his stories. She's quite sure he's trying to convince someone to write a medical drama about his stories as an EMT.
"Well, I'm no Kingo," Gil shakes his head at his partner, not that they would have him any other way.
Thena spares a furtive glance around them, although most have moved on from the tables to search for more finger food or hit the dance floor. She risks brushing her hand over his casually, "you're better."
Gil matches her energy, though, letting his hand cup hers for just as brief a moment, "you're in a good mood tonight."
She can say it's the booze, but she's only had the one glass. It's not to her taste, but it's part of the atmosphere. "When was the last time we got a night off to do this?"
He gives her a grin that's a little mischievous on the tail end. "Our first date?"
She looks away again, because sometimes these little moments still make her feel like she's liking him from afar again. "That was a good night."
"Our only date, in some ways," he corrects, although there's no malice or ill will behind it. Even though he would love to have more proper dates to their name as a couple.
Thena sighs, though, because he deserves that. He deserves to go wild to his romantic heart's desire, no matter how overwhelmed it makes her feel. She leans forward against the table, "Gil-"
"Oh, Gil!" a shrill voice singsongs over the music.
Thena scowls as her whole body knots up. His friend is back, and she's brought company. "Eros."
"Thena, darling, looking ravishing as always," the self-proclaimed 'god of love' himself grins at her. He is one of the doctors in a full blown tuxedo. "Gotten any donations?"
"No, no one donates to an emergency room unless it guarantees benefits to them personally." The two newcomers look at her uncomfortably but it's true; no one ever donates to the emergency room because it's for the public, not for the highest insured patients.
"Well, what if I make a donation?" Eros grandstands, putting on his most winsome smile and even reaching into his suit jacket pocket. Does he really have his checkbook just...in there?
Thena points, "admin will take it."
The woman gets tired of playing this game. She sidesteps Eros to put her hands on Gil's shoulders. "Oh, enough business! It's time for you two to take to the floor."
Gil just stares. Just because he's big doesn't mean he likes getting climbed on like a children's jungle gym. He shakes his head faintly at her; he's asking what to do.
Thena sighs. That's why she brought Eros with her; he's a distraction to keep her from stealing Gil's attention again. Stealing attention from her own partner is an amusing thought. But she hasn't had enough to drink for it to be thoroughly entertaining.
The woman backs up as she stands. She and Eros watch as Thena grasps Gil's tie, pulling it out from his suit jacket and using it to turn his head and drag his lips to hers. She even makes a dramatic little moan just for them.
Gil is happy to oblige. He responds, sliding his hands up her body in the way that's familiar to them. They were doing exactly this a few short hours ago. When they part he doesn't even look to see if their audience has stuck around. "Thought you'd never ask, honey."
Thena keeps her hold on Gil's tie as she moves towards the dance floor, abandoning her clutch on the table. There's nothing in it but her phone and, well, a few contraceptives (in case Gil got ahead of himself on the way home).
"Y'know, sweetie, I have no complaints," Gil voices as he closes the distance and fixes his tie again. "But you could just ask."
She sighs as they turn towards each other to dance properly. He pulls her against him as her temper simmers itself dry. "I got the feeling she wasn't going to take no for an answer."
"Well, she would have had to," he assures her, even as they begin swaying to the music. She doesn't really know how to dance, but he takes the lead, holding her hip and her hand out in his. "Although watching my girlfriend grab me like that will probably haunt her for a while."
"Good," Thena mutters darkly, still off-put by the memory of her latching onto Gil's shoulders (like she has any right).
"Are you sure?" he whispers, still holding his head up if she wants more discretion. "If she doesn't have everyone knowing before we leave for the night then Eros certainly will. I wouldn't be surprised if he's crying to HR right now."
She does laugh faintly at the mental image of Eros snotting and whining like the little boy he is. "We're technically in different departments."
Gil chuckles, "guess you're right. But I'm asking you."
He's asking if she really wants to go public, or if she wants to deny their claims to the very end. Because he'll be with her, if she does, because of course he will.
Gil is receptive as she leans up to kiss him again. Maybe she can - somewhat! - understand what people see in the romance of it all. Swaying to music, Gil's arms around her, kissing him without a care in the world. There is something that makes the pleasure centres in her brain explode with euphoria.
"I'll take that as a yes," he smiles at her, even swaying a little more in his elation.
She tries to keep her head held high instead of shrinking away from the people observing them during their own dances. She clears her throat, pretending she can't feel how hot the tips of her ears are. "If it keeps her off of you, then yes."
He bends his head down, kissing the side of her neck. But it's not any invitation to mischief or show of dominance. He emerges again and kisses her on the forehead. "Can I tell those orderlies that check you out all the time that you're my girlfriend, now?"
She smiles, because it's Gil, and their relationship is no different now than it's been for the past several months. "You don't tell them I'm your wife?"
"Oh, I do," he answers instantly, and now she laughs. And sometimes when she laughs, she catches him looking at her in a way that makes all of her insides feel like jello. "But everyone knows you're my wife. Not everyone knows you're my girlfriend."
That is true. They were long ago anointed work husband and work wife. People are used to it, and it somewhat muddies the waters on what their relationship to each other actually is. And Thena will not be un-muddying them any time soon.
She moves Gil's arm more around her for herself, tucking herself into his chest in a way that makes moving more awkward instead of easier. But he folds around her comfortingly, happy to shift from foot to foot rather than really dance. "Then all the world can know I'm your partner."
She sighs as he presses a kiss to the top of her head, "I like the sound of that."
There's no going back from this. She always says that their personal lives have no place in the hospital. But she can't think about any of that, drowning in the endorphins this one man overtakes her brain with every time he smiles. And she has no one to blame but herself.

But also!!! I love the headcanons!!! Can I request more for a different AU? (your choice for which AU, I can honestly say I’d read novels about any of them and I want to know EVERYTHING)
You...you want to hear my headcanons?
Okay!!!! (I'm so excited)
So let's talk Ballerina/Boxer AU, because that's another one with a lot of in-between things I've imagined but haven't appeared in any stories, even if I've alluded to them in the tags.
Mutual pining--my absolute favourite. Thena saw Gil a few times going into his studio across the hall. Sersi immediately called her out on it because Thena does not stare at guys. Thena doesn't really notice guys, for the most part. Until the handsome boxer smiles and waves at her. Sersi is on high alert.
Likewise, Gil noticed her because who wouldn't? He adjusted his schedule so he could come in a little earlier and catch a glimpse of her before class. Once he was smiling and waving and walked right into the propped open door. He felt like an idiot and avoided eye-contact for a week, but she was completely charmed by it.
Thena is all grace but at home she's a little forgetful. She's so exhausted that by the time she gets in the door everything is getting dropped on the spot. Then she comes out the next morning looking for her bag, her shoes, her water bottle, everything. Having Gil around has actually helped her keep her stuff organized better, she just doesn't want to admit it.
Gil loves spoiling her. He thinks it's so cute to get to see his graceful and beautiful swan curled up on the couch in a grumpy little ball. She loves watching tv with her head on a pillow on his lap with his fingers running through her hair. She has no idea what's happening in any of the shows they watch together because she always falls asleep, but Gil gives her the gist of what happens. It's super all-over-the-place and she still doesn't know what happens, but it's sweet.
She used to let him help her with her cool down after classes and rehearsals but it always ends up with them getting up to other things so now she has to ban him until after she's done or she won't stretch properly.
He brings up the locker room incident on at least a weekly basis.
Thena has never been in all that serious a relationship before. She's embarrassed and thinks it's terrible, but Gil doesn't care. He's happy and proud to be the first man she calls her 'boyfriend'. Sometimes he jokingly slutshames himself in comparison to her.
Thena only owns one pair of jeans, and one white leather jacket. Everything else is...what you might imagine a professional ballerina to own. Again, she thinks maybe this isn't a good thing, but Gil doesn't care of she dresses super casual or not.
Once they started seeing each other he immediately got his regular suit re-tailored and bought three new ones, so he could have options for her show nights, or if she went to fancy events and stuff. He just wants to feel like he belongs with his Gorgeous Swan.
Ben knew Thena had a thing for Gil from the first moment she mentioned him. All she said was "Gil, the boxing instructor in the studio across from ours" and he went oh yes, your future husband.
Thena was never nervous for performances until Gil started coming to them. It's not terribly nervous, maybe more like excited butterflies. And when she comes on stage he makes a loud 'whoo!' which everyone hates and is inappropriate for the venue, but she loves it.
Thena is much more eager to experiment than Gil. He's up for it, of course, but she's the one who's actively searching for ways or excuses to get up to wild things together. Unless he's going to ask her about it later, in which case it never happened.
Early on, Gil asked to do her warm up with her, for a change in his routine. It nearly broke him.
Thena is completely at the mercy of her students. First it was them calling Gil her boyfriend before they were really that official, which was why she would get so flustered. She didn't know that he loved them doing that. They go 'oooooh!' every time they see him, which embarrasses her every time. Soon they'll start asking if they're going to get married, at which point she will explode and burst into flames on the spot.
Sersi will say 'yes, they will', like a traitor.
Gil has a more distanced but friendly relationship with his boxing students. His oldest and friendliest student is Makkari, who was the one to tell him to just talk to Thena for a month before he ended up actually doing it.
After her fall, Gil starts subtly asking if and when she would ever give up performing for any reason (he's just worried about her).
Gil would never do anything as petty as retaliate against Lara for how she treats Thena. But he did once see her and her husband getting out of their car one day downtown. He called and had the car towed by claiming it had been there way past the allowed parking time.
When they move in, Gil will move in with Thena, because she has more stuff, it's easier, he's always there anyway, and he thinks her apartment is nicer than his.
The rose he gave her the first night he asked her out is dried properly and sits in a vase on a shelf on her wall above her bed (very romantic).
When Gil meets Jack, Jack asks if he and Aunt Thena are in love, to which Gil excitedly says he's head over heels for her. Thena is eavesdropping and has to stick her head in the fridge to recover.

I really love every AU you have written so far! And I have to thank you for keeping every one of them somehow alive because reading every new prompt is just saving the day!!❤️❤️
May I ask for a Pokémon AU prompt? Thenas Pokémon are telling Gil that he should have a nice dinner date with Thena so they are helping him, asking her for a date.
Just them and their Soft, funny and beautiful moment. (You decide if there will be a kiss^^)
"Gallade."
Gil nearly spit out his bite of food, instead aspirating and choking on it. He thumped his fist on his chest a few times before he finally managed to swallow it properly. He stared at the pokemon leaning against the kitchen counter, just...looking at him. "Excuse me?"
"Gal," the psychic/fighting type shrugged. Gil had heard him just fine, there was no mistake. It had said what it said. "Gallade."
"Uh," Gil stuttered, his face flushing at the deadpan request - really it sounded more like an order - to ask a certain Ace Trainer out on a date. "What...brought this on?"
But Gallade still didn't rise to Gil's flustered reaction. It did lean off the edge of the counter, looking over to the sliding side door, where Thena was mixing Dragonite a bowl of special, personalised pokechow. Teddiursa was watching her do it, in a phase of being fascinated with every process he witnessed. "Lade."
Gil blinked at the very simple statement of Thena's happiness. He supposed he could see what her pokemon meant. She wasn't always the most expressive person in the region, but certainly Gil could always tell what she was thinking or feeling. And yeah, maybe recently it had been easier to read a clear lightness and happiness off of her. And yeah, maybe she seemed to be in a pretty good mood, even after long days in Victory Road or when he got in late and literally woke her up from waiting for him. And yeah, maybe it was really cute, and made him really happy to see her so happy.
"Gal-Gallade."
Gil just wasn't sure if it could really be said that he was the reason for that happiness. Was he happy that Thena was happy?--of course! But to say that he was the reason for it. Gil nodded his head at the low patio on the side of the house, where Teddiursa was watching over Thena's shoulder as she pointed out the elements of Dragonite's specially tailored and nutritious meal. "You don't think that has something to do with it?"
Gallade smiled, its fondness for its new teammate and little brother showing through. It might have accepted Teddiursa as a mere presence at first, but even he had to admit that the little cub fit right into their family.
Gil looked at Gallade again as it basically argued that Teddiursa was far from the only reason for his trainer's recent spike in happiness. "Noticed what?"
"Gallade, Gal-Gallade," he continued, moving his hand(?) in a very human way as he chatted with Gil. They had known each other for a long time, after all--before Gallade was even a Gallade at all. It had known Gil all this time, and been able to notice that he and Thena clearly were bonded. But it was more recently that the bond seemed to 'change' as the pokemon phrased it.
"Change how?" Gil frowned, although Gallade was quick to assuage his worries. Gil hadn't really thought about their relationship being all that different--certainly he hadn't noticed any big, dramatic shifts between them.
There were some...significant events, sure. But maybe the repercussions from them had set in more slowly than he had really realised. From Teddiursa's arrival, to them becoming 'Mama' and 'Papa' to the little cub, to the Beware incident and beyond. And of course there was that one time...
"Gallade," it said more firmly, pulling Gil out of his thoughts. This wasn't about him thinking about things too hard. This was about him and Thena finally acting on feelings everyone could clearly see they had.
Gil scoffed, "we do not."
"Ninetales."
"Not you too," Gil sighed as the fire/psychic type walked over to them. Her tails swished as she settled in the kitchen to be part of the discussion that was making Gil feel more and more ganged up on. "I don't-"
"Nine."
Gil blushed. Well, sure, maybe he did have some feelings for Thena that were not...entirely friendship based. But surely that just came with the territory of someone's best friend being perfect in every way. Friends could be friends and also be smart, and beautiful, and talented, and a great trainer, and sweet, and caring, and humble, and devoted, and mindful of the environment, and a good mother, and-
"Gallade!"
"Look," Gil held up a hand to both the stubborn pokemon staring him down. "Even if I did have feelings for Thena--which I'm not saying I do!"
Gallade actually rolled its eyes at him (the nerve).
"That doesn't mean she has those feelings for me."
"Nine?" the fox pokemon looked up at Gil, utter disbelief - and maybe some amusement - on her muzzle. Her tails swished on the kitchen floor letting him know how unconvinced she was. "Ninetales."
It was hard to argue with a part psychic type that could read the occasional mind. Not that Thena's mind needed reading, as far as Ninetales was concerned, her trainer's adoration of Gil being so obvious (apparently).
"Ninetales-Nine," the pokemon continued, utterly remorseless about telling Gil all about Thena's increased thoughts of him, her eagerness to see him at every possible opportunity, even her new habit of sighing every few minutes. And that was nothing to say of her increased heart rate whenever he was around.
"Gallade," it interjected, trying to argue a more action based approach. No matter the evidence presented, it didn't matter unless one of them actually did something about it. And Gallade was through with leaving it up to his trainer to make the first move for herself. "Lade."
She still hadn't entirely forgiven him for the stunt he pulled that one time.
Gil blushed again, looking out at Thena, chatting with Dragonite so he wouldn't have to eat outside alone, or cram himself into her modest little kitchen. Teddiursa was sitting in her lap, happy just to be in his Mama's presence.
Gallade poked Gil in the cheek, just to make sure the ranger was aware that he was, in fact, smiling like a fool.
"Ugh," Gil swatted the hand(?) away, "yes, thank you, I get it."
"Gallade."
"I don't know," Gil sighed at the persistence of their conversation. He looked over, now finding that even Froslass had joined them. For all he knew, the ghost had been there the whole time, invisible to his human eye. "What if...what if it doesn't work? What if that's not how we're meant to be and I...ruin it?"
"Froslass?" the sensitive ice/ghost type frowned, tilting her head at him.
"What if," Gil paused, leaning on the counter and dropping his head, "what if I ruin the best thing in my life?"
"Gallade?"
"Of course she is!" Gil barked in response, raising his head but still stuck looking at Thena outside, bathed in midday sun with the mountain wind tossing her hair around. "How could she not be?! She is the best part of every single day I have! Days I don't see Thena are--are awful! They're the worst--they don't even count as days! They just one long, miserable stretch of time!"
The three pokemon let him go on.
Gil let out a laugh, unable to stop now that the ball was rolling. "You think I can have a good day without that?!"
He held out his hand, pointed in the direction of Thena, her head tossed back in laughter.
"Impossible! I'd rather be on Garbador duty for a month! I could have the worst shift of my Arceus forsaken life!--and if I get to see Thena smile, then everything's fine! I know my job isn't easy. I love it, and I'm happy to do it, but it's not like I can be happy every single second I'm at work."
"But being with Thena?" Gil slammed his head down on the counter, letting out a kind of muffled shriek into his hands. The pokemon startled faintly but still didn't interrupt. He raised his head, leaving his chin on his hands as he looked at her. "It's what I was meant to do."
Arceus and Celebi and all the legends in between: the ranger was done for.
Gil groaned as he felt a cold hand(???) pat him on the shoulder, "thanks, Froslass."
"Fross!"
Gil picked his head up, looking at all three pokemon trying to encourage him. "Are you sure?"
"Froslass," the ghost tapped his shoulder again and pointed outside at her trainer.
Gil wasn't sure what she was trying to convey to him--he didn't have any ghostly powers for him to know what they were saying. But he did watch as Thena talked with Dragonite, now making the large dragon type laugh and flap his wings in delight. She gestured for him to lean down, swiping some crumbs away with the scarf around his neck. He let her happily, his tail swishing around.
Just like Gil had known Gallade as a shy little Ralts, Thena had been there when Dragonite had hatched as an itty bitty Dratini. She had even held Gil as he'd cried tears of joy after hatching his first egg all on his own, outside of work.
"Fross," the ghost nudged him, telling him to keep watching.
Thena turned her attention to Teddiursa, as the little cub began its part of the conversation. Her smile was bright as it talked and gestured out parts of its story.
Gil loved that smile.
"Froslass."
"Maybe," Gil inhaled, looking at Thena and drifting out of the kitchen as he was drawn to her inexorably. "Maybe you're right."
Gallade's jaw dropped--that was it? He had been trying to convince the ranger and their trainer to act on this for months - although it felt like literal years - and that was all it had taken? The ghost that had joined their team only two months before Teddiursa was the one to convince him?!
"Ninetales," the second-longest standing team member offered in condolences. She picked herself up and wandered back to her bed by the fireplace, content that at least something was going to happen after all this.
Gil slid the patio door open and shut it behind him. "Hey."
"Hey," Thena smiled, twisting around to look at him and tucking one of her legs into the other at the knee. "Teddi was telling me about a herd of Bouffalant in the valley."
"They're migrating," Gil smiled, sitting himself down with a chuckle. For as worked up as he had let himself get mere moments ago, he felt a lot calmer now. Looking at Thena just had that effect on him, maybe. "We're spending the next few days making sure they don't invade the Tauros' space too much as they all settle for the spring."
Thena looked down at their little bear, "would you like to go see them down in the valley tomorrow?"
"Teddi!"
Gil watched the little bear bound up Thena's arm to her shoulder, nuzzling his fuzzy cheek against hers. She picked the bear up to tickle its tummy, relishing in its laughter. And when Teddi laughed, Thena laughed.
"I have the day shift."
Thena looked at Gil, at the sudden declaration and the way he'd said it. "That's good."
"And," he inhaled, trying to keep his focus while Thena looked at him, the wind at her back, the sun on her cheek, the valley slightly out of focus behind her. "Since I'm off nights this week, what about...dinner?"
Thena let out a faint laugh, trying to discern where he was going with this. "Well, you're the one always reminding me to eat it, so I'm sure we could-"
"No, I mean," Gil leaned forward, pulling her extended leg to slide her closer to him. He held her eyes, encouraged by the way her pupils grew wide and her breathing hitched. "Dinner...just you and me."
She blinked at him, her lashes fluttering, breathing quickened. A faint flush rose in her cheeks, "you and me?"
"Me and you," he smiled. Maybe this wasn't such a bad idea after all.
"O-Okay."
Gil wound their fingers together, pulling her closer despite Teddiursa in her lap and Dragonite sitting behind him with its jaw dropped. He let his lips move against Thena's naturally--almost too naturally for being 'just friends'. He pulled back with a grin.
"It's a date."
